We didn't have a good experience at this Bank, and considering all the horror stories coming in, and I'm surprised that we even gave it a chance. TDECU Spring on fm 2920 Staff standing around doing nothing. When asked for help the 2 do nothing girls said I have to see the "Specialist" They notified her that she had a customer. We waited and waited. I said there is no other customer here, what is taking so long? They said she is probably on the phone. I walked back. She was doing nothing at her desk. She said come in and asked the problem. She did not know how to fix the online issue, so she called the 800#. We told her we already did that and they were no help. She still talked with them and they told her they could not help. She called her supervisor and asked for help. We had to go home and try to reinstall our account. We spent about 4 hours total trying to fix this technical issue. Any other financial institution would have taken 5 minutes by phone to resolve. But not at this CU. Every issue is a major problem with staff not knowing what to do! HUGE WASTE OF TIME. read more

Ive been a member of several banks but my mom talked me into TDECU. WORST DECISION EVER. The Manager is rude, tries to put 9 day holds on my checks (even though I've established a history with them) and seems to just hate her job all together. I hated this branch so much I drove 30 min to the heights location. The worst part of TDECU as a whole is there are no set rules, every manager seems to come up with whatever rule suits them that day. read more

Ahhhhh, I didn't read the reviews. This location sucks! And I'm not the only one that reviews so. I'm appalled!! Flabbergasted!! Insulted!! I went to TDECU Westiemer location - this location reflects ALL TDECU branches. Huuuunies let me tell y'all (TX slang) what happened. I used their kiosk to sign in, there's 2 associates and the manager on duty. While sitting awaiting my turn I was checking the place out, ya know Secretly blogging. My attention was drawn to a Hispanic lady interaction with one of the tellers, I was not clear of what took place before I walked in but what I did walk in on was that the teller was getting a little annoyed with her. It showed in the tellers body language as well as what she said and how she said it. I thought, Let me mind my own business as "who's next" came yelled of the next available teller mouth. Impress me, call me by my name I did use the kiosk. Ok fine, We exchanged pleasantries as Karya, Kayla, Kyra or whatever her name was, asks how may she help me. I state my business and she preceded to inform me its 2:30 in the afternoon and THEY could not help me TODAY and that she needed to check "HER CALENDAR" for a more convenient time for me to return. In my Scooby Doo voice I said "Hu" and raised my ears to attention. Now while Ms. Kay Kay tap tap tap on her keyboard pulling up her busy work calendar, I could not help but over hear and see how the other teller was interacting with the Hispanic lady still. The Hispanic lady was trying to understand what the teller needed as she was digging in her purse pulling out the proper documentation the teller had demanded. That tellers tone and what she said and how she said it would NOT have been received respectfully by any other ENGLISH as their first language customer. The Hispanic lady presented some type of paperwork as the teller says while shaking her wildly saying Yeah, that's what I told you I needed, that's what I was talking about". That was received by me as demeaning and embarrassing. So, I focus my attention back to my own business at hand Ms. Karyla, asks for my identification. I look around, check my watch and stated my business again just to make sure I understood and comprehend what this teller was telling me. I ask again juuuuust to be sure I got my facts right so my post would be factual. Me: Why can't you help me TODAY? Kay: We're too busy. Me: There's nobody waiting but that man. Kay: I know, you see what time it is? I have a lot of paperwork to do, we close at 5 pm. What you need takes some time and WE can't help you today. You can go to one of our other locations. You can go to the Sugar Land location. -----y'all this young lady points in the direction towards Sugar Land, TX. Me: Hu? What? Karyla: ( tap tap tap on her key board) Now, what time you wanna come back tomorrow in her take it or leave it tone/attitude/demeanor. Me: Are you serious? Karyla: You wanna talk to my manager? Me: Yes please. She calls her manager on the phone, tells her my request says "yes that's what I told her" the manager comes out of her empty office and signs off on what her teller told me. WE CANT SERVICE YOU TODAY, YOU CAN COME BACK TOMORROW. I could have won the Lottery and wanted to open an IRA account with my millions. And back to that other situation, who and what gives that teller the right to speak to her in that manner? I'm offended by what I was witnessing. She was demeaning! I clearly understood what was going on! That teller needs to go back to college and retake the Fundamentals of Cultural Diversity class. Per similar review, TDECU practice and condones DISCRIMINATION! I'm a witness to it! That was humiliating!! If I could speak Spanish, I would have told that lady to leave with me. And Ms. K, her customer service skills are the reflection of her Manager. That's evident by the Branch Manager co-signing that THEY don't have time to service me at 2:30 in the afternoon? You know what, I'm not surprised they are in the same shopping strip as that Akyesh Nail Salon and Youshi. They think the public needs them!Stick a fork in me Y'all I'm done. They can deny everything I've written but they can't deny why I walked out. If a class action lawsuit is filed I Will TESTIFY. A previous post confirms this is a common and acceptable practice by TDCEU. I bet my last dollar DISCRiNATION is experienced in the workplace as well as more customers have experienced from TDECU representatives. Shame on you TDCEU shame on you! This year, I'm more careful where I spend my money.Prices have sky rocketed and good customer service is down. Just like companies are raising their prices I'm raising my expectations. Sick and tired of over draft fees when my account is not negative! Will be going in to close this account after many years.. ZERO STARS FOR LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE! I have been waiting on a damn member if this branch or any damn branch to call and schedule an appointment for me to come in to dispute charges on my account! I have been waiting since 6/11, made at least 10 calls only to be told the same damn lie over again. NEWSFLASH... NO ONE HAS CONTACTED ME YET TO HELP RESOLVE MY ISSUE! My account was defrauded for over $1200 and I cannot get anyone from any location to do their jobs! Beyond frustrated and extremely pissed off! I have sent emails and make enough calls for 1 of the lazy branch members to call me. I am a hard working, healthcare worker and I need my money returned!! This is absolutely lack of concern displayed by this credit union! I came at 9am to open up a new checking account. (They opened at 8:30) Apparently they were in the middle of a team meeting which was more important than attending to a customer! Definitely will not be returning to this location again. I immediately saw that customer service was obviously not their first priority here. These reviews are very accurate. After I informed them how unacceptable their behavior was, he told me that I could not open up an account because I didn't have a hard copy of my utility bill. I showed him my utility bill straight from the merchant as an ebill, provided a copy of my vehicle registration and insurance showing my address as well. He also told me I had a charge off account which I never had record of. I have an account with Chase, Capital One and LEFT THIS BANK to open an account with Bank of America, they also did not mention anything regarding this "charge off account". The representative was clearly full of crap and upset. It's quite hilarious how calling someone out on their poor customer service skills resulted in me not qualifying for an account lol thank God he made up that lie because I ended up going to BOA and not only qualified for a new checking account but a new credit card. So I guess my bad experience here was truly a blessing in disguise because something better was waiting for me at BOA. read more

I have been a member of this credit union for about a year. I use it because it is close to my job and I deposit expense checks and other cash so that I can have some money close when I can't make it to my main credit union. I had been thinking about switching all of my banking to TDECU but after today, I think not. Customer service is non existent, so don't expect any. TDECU has good rates on auto loans and things like that, just don't go to this branch. I almost ALWAYS go to the tellers because the people at the front are always so slow and rude. Well today, as I went to the teller to make a deposit, the evil chic in front said, "Maam, maam, you need to have a seat and wait for someone to help you." I was like to make a deposit? "Yes." She was RAF. I said no thanks and walked out. All of the branches are not bad, just avoid this one. read more

This Location Is a tad odd. If you ever find yourself here and the mean lady at the front doesn't explain to you what you do, You actually go to the Drive thru tubes fill in your paper work, and send it. If you need to talk to the Teller, all you do is push call and pick up the phone and on the TV you'll see them. Great Credit Union Overall read more

I wish I could rate with zero stars. Absolutely the worse customer service, understaffed, unfriendly team of people I've ever seen. You have to sign up, wait 45+ minutes to speak with a banker to add an email address on the account. I called into this bank more than 10 times in one week, and had to visit twice in one day just to get set up with online banking. After all of that, I still can't transfer money or pay bills with online banking. This place sucks! read more

I recently open my account in mid May. This place is the place to get FREE checking, and great loans. My experience was very pleasant, the FSR that help me educated me on how I can pay my loan ahead of time and increase my Credit Score. Everytime I come here they treat members like family. Everyone seems happy all the time, and always busy. But I get in and out. No waiting in line like Chase. Highly recomend this CU to everyone. Awesome people who treat you right. read more

I was forced to give a star. If I had it my way I would've marked negative 5 stars. My checks were placed on hold due to it being a shared branch deposit. Representative by the name of Porscha I believe provides to me an email that was incorrect and a fax that doesn't work to send over copy of checks. Which I sent over checks. I didn't receive a response or status so I sent an email multiple times and also a message via secure message on the online portal. Still no response. I contacted TDECU at around 5:50 and I guess bc it was 10 minutes before they closed a representative came on the line and pretended like she didn't hear me and disconnected the call. Unprofessional. I called back again and spoke to another representative who didn't seem to be having a hearing problem. She stated to me the email was incorrect that was provided to me and the reason the check won't be released bc me being a member with TDECU for over a year is enough to get multiple products with them but not simple checks released. This is such a horrible credit union I wouldn't recommend anyone to open an account here. The staff is very unprofessional and very apathetic. Do not bank here!! Staff sounds like they are there because they have to come to work, but not service their members. If I wanted to be treated like a number I would've open a bank account with a bank! Don't bring your money here! Save your self a headache and go elsewhere! read more
