I found this place on yelp and decided to bring her by. My immediate impression when I pulled up was "turn around don't stop!" Why is that you ask? Because the outside looked abandoned with overgrown landscape. It didn't feel inviting, clean like a place I would want anything to do with. I contemplated leaving so I read reviews before making decision. Seems lots of people are appalled by the looks. Well I gave it a try. I walked in talked with staff and left her for the day. I don't have anything negative, the staff I interacted with seemed friendly. I wasn't given a tour of the place which is new to me as most places have given me a tour so I snot know what goes on behind the scenes but if it's anything like the front maybe that's why. However what I can see from cameras it's not so bad. Overall I will bring again but I recommend doing something with the front. Curb appeal is a thing if you aren't aware.

She now gets so excited when I tell her we are going to Camp Bow Wow. The staff is always very helpful and accomodating. I would highly recommend the Camp Bow Wow in Flower Mound.

We have been clients of Riverwalk for several years and have entrusted them with the care of two…read moredogs and one cat. During that time, both of our dogs passed away due to old age, and our cat is now three years old. Throughout those years, our experience with the veterinarians and technicians has been consistently positive. The staff is knowledgeable, professional, and clearly dedicated to providing quality care for their patients. The reason for this review is not the quality of care, but the clinic's prescription refill policy. When attempting to refill our cat's flea and tick medication through Chewy, the prescription request was declined because our cat had not had an annual wellness exam. When I contacted the office to understand the reasoning behind the requirement, I was told that the exam was necessary to maintain the veterinarian-client-patient relationship. However, I did not receive a clear explanation of how a routine wellness exam for a healthy, three-year-old cat would impact the decision to approve a medication he has been safely taking for the past three years. Veterinary regulations may require periodic examinations before prescriptions can be authorized, and if that is the case, I would have appreciated a straightforward explanation of that requirement. Instead, the responses I received felt generic and did not address the underlying question of why the exam was necessary in this specific situation. For many families, discretionary spending is carefully evaluated. Requiring an $83 wellness exam solely to authorize a refill of an established flea and tick preventative adds a meaningful expense without a clearly communicated benefit. While I understand the importance of routine preventive care, I believe clients deserve a transparent explanation of the medical or regulatory rationale behind policies that require additional visits and costs. My overall opinion of Riverwalk remains positive because of the quality of care they have provided over the years. However, this experience with prescription refill policies and the lack of a clear & logical explanation has been disappointing and has changed my perspective on an otherwise excellent practice. Note that this might be the case with all veterinary clinics

I have been taking my 3 small dogs to this place for over 2 years, All relatively okay until today…read more I ordered the heart worm prevention pills via their link given me to place the order. The last prescription never made and I moved the order to PetMeds as a fast shipmen becasue my dogs needs the pill right away. When I called the vet office to let them know about they were about to be contacted by PetMeds for a vet approval the receptionist just told me "I cannot approve this order" because your dogs are due for their annuals on July 22nd. Well they need this med right way and told her and my dogs were not overdue for the well exam and testing I replied. I also explained that I could not rush this well exam visit because I was waiting to get well to drive and my husband could not drive either due to a recent knee replacement. She continued to say I cannot approve this order. When I confronted her that the approval should come from the vet and not from her she told me the vet was on vacation and hung up on me. For once they have around 3 to 4 vets there and more than one have seen my dogs. Second- it's unacceptable to receive such rudeness behavior from any body including the receptionist. Third- a vet on vacation should have a back up for cases like this. Fourth- she should have transferred the situation to a vet instead of her taking on it like she was vet or the owner. Fifth- what a deplorable situation to have staff that behaves like that loosing a customer in a second just like that.

I picked this practice for location, as it is very close to my home, but I am very glad I lucked out and did. With my pup's antics, we have seen just about every vet and tech there, and they have always treated my dog with the utmost care and compassion and have answered my questions fully and completely. I have even called with follow up questions and had my call returned promptly by the vet on duty. My pup recently had a serious illness that came on suddenly and severely. I was able to put him in the car and walk right in for care. When I brought him home and issues arose, I was able to call in and send photos which the vet reviewed and called me back within just a few minutes. She even called me back later and had me bring him in to double check him as something was weighing on her mind about his case. Its rare to find a place that cares about their patients the way they do. It is not the cheapest, but it is definitely the place to go if you want your pets treated like family.
