I could bring it in and then it would sit for 4-6 weeks before they could look at it. I asked If I could make a reservation to bring it in in 4-6 weeks and was told no. A quick google search brought me to Austin Sewing Machines. I called them about service, and guess what, they gave me a reservation to bring in the machine in 4 weeks. Well how about that!? The cleaning/maintenance price was very fair. They had the machine for about 3 weeks and called to let me know when it was ready. They told me step by step what they had done and what was replaced, etc. I held my breath for the final price and it was amazingly reasonable and fair. I was over the moon. Picked up the machine a day or two later. They went over the repairs again, and reminded me there is a 90 day warranty. My machine is happy and working just fine now. This is the new shop for me even though it means a 50 mile round trip rather than a 10 mile round trip to the other store in Austin. The store is clean and bright and the folks working there are lovely. Going to make the trek up north to check out their fabrics and notions.

Unlike others, they offer a wide variety of fabrics too- not just what the shop owner likes, but muted, kids prints, vibrant patterns and solids. Once you do that, you'll take the first step in turning your poor business around, and might have a chance at being a successful and honorable black-run business, and could be a positive example for all business owners in the area. I'd love to see you succeed, but you will need to completely change your mindset and how your business is run. Know your limits, and don't take anything on that is beyond your limits.
