Not only was my Jasmine Tea really good, the cashier was very sweet and helpful. He made me the wrong drink, and corrected the order. He gave me both drinks and told me to try out the one made in error. I thanked him and told him I would have it with my breakfast the next day. He was all smiles and very warm smiles at that.

Came here on a whim looking for late night boba with the girls -- Little hole in the wall. We didn't expect to order any food but decided too and got their fried hainan chicken... crispy and cooked throughly, with the sweet and sour sauce.... Yum Service was great and I consider on coming back for their dumplings.

Heard about this place on an app so I figured to give this place a try. AMBIANCE: Parking: Street parking. It's a busy street but there's also neighborhood parking you can try to find. Seating: Inside seating for small groups usually 4 people at a time. It has space for about 30 people. Feels: It's on a neighborly street of 4th Street. There's a mix of your local community houses and restaurants as well. It's not the more touristy side of Long Beach but more of a local side. The spot itself is lovely. It has a nice wooden and clean aesthetic to it. Great to study or hang out. FOOD: Strawberry Boba Milk Tea (Recommend) Pleasant presentation. The pink reminded me of strawberry milk when I was young. The drink itself was delicious. Moderately sweet and refreshing and the boba was chewy. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Awesome! A friendly elderly couple helped me. They were polite and pretty quick with the orders. TL; DR OVERALL: 4.5 Stars. Fantastic! I enjoyed my brief experience here. The prices were reasonable, the choices were great, and the drinks were lovely. I know there are plenty of boba places in Long Beach this is a solid gem, especially in this area. Till next time, Tea 9! Tips: * Shared with Taishi Hainan chicken

My friends & I went on a late night boba run. We were looking up places that was nearby. This place came up on our app so we wanted to try this place out. As we arrived, the inside of this place was Japanese themed. You will see a white cherry blossom tree upon walking in. I was pleasantly surprised with the aesthetics of this place. Very cute! We came around 10pm, one hour before closing. We were seated right away. We were the only ones there which was nice. As we were looking at the food items on the menu, we all wanted to try their Signature Fried Chicken/rice dish. The chicken was very tender, cooked perfectly, & tasted very good. It came with rice & two sauces, a lime cream sauce & sweet & sour for dipping. Also, ordered a side of ginger garlic rice. It was mighty delicious paired with the fried chicken. For drinks, we ordered a Tea 9 Signature Milk tea, Strawberry revival, & Strawberry milk tea with boba. The drinks were moderately sweet, but I would say the boba wasn't as chewy as it should be. We had a great experience & it was nice to discover this gem in Long Beach!

This place is pretty cute inside. Lots of seating but I noticed a kinda weird smell when I walked in. I got the signature milk tea with boba. The tea was decent but I wasn't a fan of the boba. The boba was very unevenly cooked: some were cooked fine while others were undercooked and hard. The service people are nice and quick. It is a little hard to find parking but you can park in residential.

Went to Colossus's first night of dinner service. Everything was very solid... I have a ton of…read morecaveats, but I have faith it will only get better from here. You can tell the staff were a little nervous, which was to be expected. For example, we sat right by the kitchen and they came from behind us and awkwardly placed our food on the table instead of going to the front of the table like usual. This felt pretty janky and normally I wouldn't note something like this, but it felt unpolished. The wine list is decently expansive and had a wide range of prices, which is great! I got an orange wine (Russian River Valley) which was $11 for the glass; way better than a $20 cocktail. You MUST order the lamb belly souvlaki, that was the best bite of the night. It was extremely tender, yet the skin was lightly crisp. I've never had lamb belly before and now I wonder why I never see it on menus. One of the co-owners, Nicholas, came out and told us that his wife and co-owner, Kristin, is part-Greek, so she brought that inspo to the menu...I'm glad! I honestly think lamb belly would be an amazing main course...wow, wow wow. Next, I am adding this to the review because my friend went the day after: they said the pizza is REALLY good. I can attest to this because just about every table had it. The pizza has no flop, there's a nice char on the crust, and it has the perfect amount of "grease" you want in a pizza. The plus is that the cheese pizza is $22 which is way cheaper than the steak frites or roast chicken mains. Now I'm kind of regretting not getting it, but I'll come back and taste the rest of the menu. (I will update the review when I try the pizza). We also got the "bread service" with rosemary focaccia bread. It came with a side of olive oil and a very high quality butter. It was okay... kind of disappointing for a place that specializes in bread; it had a fluffy interior but a little too hard than I like on the exterior. Not enough rosemary flavor either. We had the Panzanella salad that was perfectly balanced between the tomatoes and stracciatella cheese, but the country bread "croutons" were a weird texture hybrid of too chewy and hard. The charred eggplant with beans dish was hearty and solid - it felt like a proper winter-y dish, but I wouldn't order it again though. The Caesar roast chicken could use some work, especially for $34. It was served on polenta with charred greens and didn't come through enough in flavor or texture. The chicken should have had a nice pan sauce, as the breast was a little dry. I saw other tables get the steak frites, which made me want to order a side of fries. They were visually very good but was about as good as diner fries. This is a huge miss. I'm hoping this gets a massive upgrade. It had no crunch and tasted slightly raw. Also, no side of any sauce whatsoever, either - should at least come with an aioli. I think your mileage will vary based on what you order. This is what I think would get a better review: get a pizza or two, mushroom polenta, and the spicy feta dip... I need to try the dessert next time as well. Although my review above sounds very rough around the edges, there's a lot of opportunity for polish. I still give it a 4! Total came to $126 including tip, which is pretty good for a date night with a TON of food. I would order less than I did, it's too much for two!

The café has outside and inside seating. I prefer to sit outside since there were a lot of students working on their laptops and I didn't want to cause any distraction since we were there to mingle and chat. Being outside was nice, but you also still have other people seated outside, or in passing. The barista/cashier was friendly, especially when I let him know that it was my first time. He asked me what my likes were and said he can make that for me. I went with a hot honey cinnamon vanilla latte and it was good. It may have needed more to it because it was not flavorful and sweet enough. I couldn't taste the honey or cinnamon. It tastes more like a vanilla latte. But I think this is an easy fix next time I order. They also have a restroom for customers which I visited, and it was clean. There is plenty of parking and this is definitely a college crowd, but welcome to everyone.

Got the Chai latte-good, creamy and frothy and maybe a tad sweet. Lots of pastries to choose from-I got a cinnamon knot to go with the flavor of the chai. Had the knot heated up, and it was delicious-perhaps a tad too sweet. Service was friendly and efficient. A good spot to kill some time.
