I've been wanting to visit and finally came in before a Sunday morning walk. Staff were friendly and answered my questions about the pastries before a final decision was made. I ordered an iced the On My Way latte with a passion fruit pastry. Ugh - I was on my way to heaven! The flavors were pronounced and neither were too sweet and I ended up with flakes everywhere (as one does with a deliciously well-made pastry). The coffee and pistachio flavors melded well and had me properly caffeinated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Desire the busyness, customers entered and left quickly with their to-go orders.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The merch was cute and the vibe definitely invited me to stay longer than anticipated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This was my first time trying coffee drunk and I personally wasn't impressed. I got my usual order an iced latte with cinnamon and honey. The straws given are really tiny and I felt my latte was watered down relatively quick. The service was decent. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is not my preference. It's mostly outdoor and is hard to study or work imo.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I personally wouldn't go out of my way to go back.

Ordered: Large Iced Baby LA (~$7): house-made vanilla syrup, honey, mint, espresso & milk, topped with espresso dust Aya's take: First stop in Long Beach and decided to grab coffee at a local spot with 3 locations in the area. The Iced Baby LA was sweet from the vanilla syrup, creamy from the milk, and bold from the espresso and espresso dust on top - exactly what I was looking for to start my day. The honey & mint were a nice touch too. Good try!

I really wanted to like this place and perhaps it was an off day.. but between the extremely rude person at the front taking my order, the lack of customization on the lattes, and the actual taste - I just feel there's much better spots to visit for coffee in Long Beach. Let's start with service: the woman at the front was very dry, quiet, and uninterested. We tried asking her if we could add cold foam or sweet cream to our drinks to make them sweeter, and she said it was only available on seasonal drinks. As an avid matcha latte consumer, this made zero sense to me. While I don't blame her bc she likely had nothing to do with that decision, she wasn't kind in relaying that information or trying to help me find something on the menu I may like. Her demeanor remained the same when my friend ordered his drink, and we both felt a very negative energy coming from this woman, simply put it didn't seem like she wanted to be there taking our order. This was around 1pm last Saturday (the 21st of March), so they had a decent amount of customers, but it wasn't some crazy morning rush. Forward to the drink : we grabbed our drinks which came out promptly. I tasted my matcha and just as I suspected due to the lack of sweetness, it just tasted like grassy chalk. I assumed that my friends latte would be better, as matcha can tend to have an earthy taste to it to begin with. Then I tried his... chalky and sour. Due to the lack of customization and the barista's attitude, we just took a couple sips and tossed our drinks. It was a super negative experience for a place I really really wanted to like. I think allowing people to use sweetener and cold foam on more than just seasonal lattes would be a great first start, and perhaps training the staff on appropriate customer interaction would also help. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved the branding on this spot, but it seems like the people who work there don't want to be there and it really put a damper on the experience[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and [[HIGHLIGHT]]for a place so cute, the drinks and vibes should be top notch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Velvet mocha

My go to from here is the velvet mocha. It's good but definitely on the sweeter side. It also takes a while for the coffee to come out which isn't bad but keep that in mind.

Wow what a gem! First off their seasonal drinks are so so good! I got the seasonal drink that was made with matcha and it was sooooo good! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is super cute![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating is everywhere but there aren't tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was super quick. Would be back!

I ordered the instigator, iced latte, half sweet . Smooth, great taste. Not too strong. The service was friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice clean, simple esthetic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'd come again, when in the area.

Pier Pressure: apple syrup, caramel drizzle, milk, & matcha

I love coming to CoffeeDrunk. The vibes are really chill with friendly and attentive staff. It gets really packed and can be a bit loud, so I'd recommend it more for meetups than working. On this visit I tried the fall menu item, Pier Pressure. It has apple syrup, caramel drizzle, milk, & matcha. All of these ingredients blend perfectly together, creating Fall right in your cup. It's the perfect drink to sip and bring in the Halloween season with.

    Slow burn
    Rachel B.

Finished a run at the beach and wanted a quick coffee for my drive home, stumbled upon CoffeeDrunk. I got the drink called Slow Burn, it was DELICIOUS! Major down side is that it took 20 minutes to get my drink.... It looked busy inside but not 20 minutes busy. I would return again if I can order ahead and not wait as long bc the coffee was still super good.

Coffee Drunk is a bright and spacious coffee shop on 4th Street. It offers a unique variety of coffee, tea, and tonic options. We opted for the On My Way latte (house-made salted pistachio syrup, espresso, milk), one of their "Claim to Fame" drinks. We found it to be pleasant and not too sweet. We also ordered the Weekend in Long Beach off the seasonal menu (muddled orange, house-made yuzu syrup, maple syrup, fever-tree tonic - only available iced). We subbed the espresso float for a matcha float for $1 and found the drink to be light, refreshing, and energizing - perfect for a hot summer day. We saw people order and leave, and we also saw people order and stay to read a book or work on their laptops (there are a few outlets throughout the shop). The environment is laid back and perfect for a quick stop or a longer stay. Street parking is available in front of the shop for a fee, as well as in the surrounding neighborhoods.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cute, adorable little coffee shop on the corner--very welcoming and cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was friendly and made the whole experience even better. I ordered an iced matcha latte with a shot of espresso, and it was just okay--not really impressive. My daughter got a chai, and she felt the same way about hers. It might just be my taste buds today, so I'm definitely open to giving this place another try. Next time, I'd love to try one of their regular coffee drinks and see how that compares!

Excellent coffee and matcha, Excellent customer service. Small cute neighborhood coffee shop. The parking sucks, but it's worth the search.

    On My Way Latte
    Angeline N.

I've been here twice now and I wanted to like it so bad both times but it just didn't hit for me as much as the reviews were hyping it up. The espresso tasted really smoky and it's not really what I enjoy (but it might just be personal preference). I've gotten The Instigator the first time I went and the On My Way Latte the second time. which are both pretty popular drinks. For The Instigator, I didn't really taste much of the flavor and tasted just like a plain latte to me. The On My Way Latte was a lot better in terms of flavor, but it wouldn't be something I'd come back for. It's pretty busy inside but the baristas work really quickly! [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were tables but they definitely fill up fast.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor inside is really cute and plenty of people were studying inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I had a bunch of questions about the different kinds of matcha because I'm a newly matcha girlie and still learning the flavors. I told them I wanted something sweet, and they gave great recommendations and let me know the one I chose was really good quality. When I got it, it was a little strong for me, so we added more oat milk and a splash of vanilla, and that made it perfect. The aesthetic of the café was beautiful; minimalist, bougie, and it literally felt like a high end neighborhood café. The menu was teeny tiny, so it took us a minute to decide. My friend got an iced Spanish latte, and she said it was probably the best one she's ever had, this was also recommended by the cashier. We sat inside, drank our drinks, and did a little people watching out the window. Parking was a little sketch, but overall I definitely recommend and can't wait to go back.

When I walked in, there was a long line, so my friends and I naturally moved toward the back to wait. For some reason, the staff decided to make us the star of the show. Even after we clearly answered that we were not in line, multiple employees kept stopping service to ask my friends the exact same question over and over. It felt like I was being singled out for no reason, and the repeated attention was embarrassing and unnecessary. This is a coffee shop. We're not trying to budge the line just because we're brown people. I've never been to a coffee shop where employees were so focused on making a customer feel uncomfortable instead of simply serving people. It completely devastated my peace and made what should have been a quick coffee stop feel awkward and hostile. Customer service isn't just about making drinks--it's about making people feel welcome. Unfortunately, this experience did the exact opposite. I won't be returning, and I certainly can't recommend this location to anyone looking for a relaxed atmosphere.

I'm absolutely obsessed with their coffee menu, baked items, sandwiches, and their selection of grocery-like goods. I ordered the Midsommar caramel latte, ceasar salad sandwich on their fresh baked bread, and the strawberry rhubarb and pistachio danish (!!). I'd easily sign up for this lineup to be my last meal on earth. I even ordered a sourdough bread loaf with olives so I could ride this high for several more days. The Midsommar latte is crafted with housemade caramel, espresso, milk, and topped with sprinkles of fennel and bee pollen - the perfect finale to an already incredible drink. The honey lavender notes were definitely there, but the latte is much more on the milky side than coffee side, which is what I didn't like. However, their sandwich was soo good. The turkey and brie has a nice fluffy bread, a healthy portion of turkey, a mix of herbs, and this super sweet and fragrant fig mostarda, which is like a fig mustard spread. Definitely would come back for the sandwich, maybe not the coffee though.

I ordered one of their seasonal beverages, a tiramisu latte. This latte was pretty much a dessert, and exactly what I needed to fix my morning blues. The only thing that could have elevated this experience would be a side of lady fingers for dipping purposes. The breakfast burrito came packed with crispy potatoes, plus, eggs, bell peppers, chipotle aioli, and cheddar. To be honest, I found this burrito to be lacking. It was about 90% potato and I'm pretty sure the aioli listed on the menu description was non-existent. While the food didn't blow me away, this place truly stands out due to its extra large interior seating area. It feels nearly impossible to find a coffee shop with enough tables in this newly WFH society. Good Time has got us covered, with plenty of seats and outlets for everyone.
