Perfect brown sugar milk tea. Yummm. However, I've had very mix experiences at this place, and a few times I've been kicked out early and treated kind of badly for being a late night customer, then other times things went well, so it really depends upon the day and who is working. Overall I think it's a great bubble tea shop, with good products and really nice decor, and it feels brand new compared to some of the other TD locations such as Philly and Boston. I like that you can hang out here late at night, of course. Baltimore doesn't have a lot of top notch boba options, but it has some solid chains, and out here there's a Tea Top (closes early) and a Tea Do (closes late) within a few miles of each other, as well as other good options, which makes Ellicott City west of Baltimore a top Boba destination, and basically the Chinatown area of the Baltimore region. Tea Do is one of the top boba shops in Boston, in Philly (several locations), in DC (VA burbs and MD burbs), and here, in the west burbs of Baltimore too. In some ways it dominates the late night North East USA boba scene, and does so in a good way, with cheap products that are delicious and well worth your time. Tea Do helps me when traveling because long after other boba shops are closed, I can hang out here until sometimes past midnight, enjoying late night boba in safe surroundings and outlets for my devices. The milk teas here are fantastic and the fruit teas are actually really good too. I mean a place has to be really good for me to order as many drinks as I did. Including the strawberry black tea which is a Halloween special. I really have nothing but great things to say about Tea Do. As an added bonus they are open late, so I'm often in here late nights in the Baltimore burbs when there's nothing else to do. And nothing else to Tea Do. And I'm glad they don't overcharge like a lot of places do. Because that would be a "Teadon't" rather than a "Teado." Came here for a quick boba and loved it! I spent less than $6 for a Thai tea and it was absolutely delicious. The service is always so quick and it usually isn't super busy in there. Inside is a little dark, but the decor is very fun! There is a giant boba tea statue inside and a wall of sticky notes that is cool to look at while waiting for your order. read more

Tried this place for the first time today. Got a few things: 1) Jasmine almond milk tea w/boba - this was fine I think. I don't usually get almond but it's kind of an interesting flavor. The drink was refreshing though I don't think I'd get it again. 2) Taiwanese fried chicken. The flavor wasn't bad, but I'd say it was pretty peppery for "mild." There is actually a huge amount of chicken, but very little sauce that comes with it. The chicken is also very chewy. Not dry but I do wonder if it was overcooked a little. 3) Salmon onigiri. Ok. Rice was a bit dry. Salmon was ok but the little cubes were falling out as I ate it. Overall, the food was ok. The staff was nice. The environment was cute, definitely Taiwan style with LINE characters and a jumbo bear. The couch the bear sat on was a little stained looking. Menu was a little disjointed and the offerings were written in multiple places, but nowhere altogether. Haven't been here in a while so checked it out again. Unfortunately their service was pretty bad this time. We ordered 5 drinks and confirmed that we ordered 5 because the cost seemed a bit low and the girl who took our order said yes. I pressed the button to get a paper receipt after paying for it but they didn't give me one, but just let it go. We got 4 drinks but it was taking forever to get our fifth one, so asked them if it was ready and they then finally realized they didn't actually put the order in so we had to order and go back to pay again. Not sure why she confirmed we ordered 5 if only 4 got ordered, and this mistake would have been caught quicker if they gave us the receipt when we asked for it. Visited Tea-Do for the first time yesterday and had a great experience! They have some great food options along with a large drink menu. The staff is very friendly and got our order out quickly. We tried some of the Onigiri (baked salmon, shrimp tempura, eel, and kani w/ seaweed), and they were great! The onigiri themselves were larger than we expected and came work spicy mayo to dip them in. We were pretty full with 2-3 per person. We also tried the Taiwanese Fried Chicken. They had both spicy and mild and we went with the spicy version. The chicken bites definitely had a kick to them! But they were crunchy, warm and had a nice taste. As for the drinks, I had the Thai Milk Tea that comes with the classic bubbles. I've had a lot of Thai Milk Tea, but Tea-Do is now my favorite! It doesn't taste diluted and has a good flavor. My fiancé had the Hello Kitty speciality drink and loved that! It was refreshing and the Star bubbles/gummies in the bottom were fun. Overall, we loved this place, and we will now probably be regulars! Definitely recommend it! read more

I don't like writing this review but here goes. I've ordered food and bubble tea for delivery in the past no issue. Fairly quick delivery and food has tasted good in the past. This time I ordered taiwanese popcorn chicken and a bubble tea through ubereats. I got the order on time but my main problem is when I got the chicken it was open. The container was open. Attaching a photo. I called Teado and they said they always leave the Togo container open for taiwanese popcorn chicken so it doesn't grt soggy. I'm sorry but in the middle of a pandemic that is a horrible business decision especially if my food is going to sit in a delivery vehicle with another person for 10-20 minutes. I don't know if the person is wearing a mask or not inside their car. Too many unknown variables makes this a terrible idea. If the expectation is I will microwave the chicken anyways to kill germs well guess what it's not going to stay crispy anyways. So yeah. Reevaluate this decision for the future I would say. It's not safe in my opinion. I'm glad I got the bubble tea as looks like that's gonna be my lunch today instead of chicken as well. Just letting others know in case it matters to them. read more

Yes! Tea tastes great and also service is SO quick during quarantine. I got my order within 1-2 minutes of ordering. During the pandemic, they are only allowing two customers to be in the store at all times but that did not slow them down at all. They have hand sanitizer on deck and seem to have created a saran wrap barrier between the staff and customers. On to the tea, my boyfriend got the Hulk and I got the Almond Jasmine Milk Tea. The Hulk was refreshing! I enjoyed my drink but the pearls themselves aren't as tasty as other chains (still very chewy though). Currently opened during this quarantine and only has carry-out option. Tea-Do surprisingly tastes way better compared to the Kung-fu tea option in College Park (this was the only other boba place opened near me in Montgomery County). I ordered the sesame milk tea with boba at 30% sugar and ice. Great boba texture and well-balanced in terms of sweetness and tea. I also had the eel and salmon onigiri which tasted delicious. The seaweed onigiri was recommended but my favorite is usually the salmon so I stuck to what I knew. I'm very satisfied with how consistent this location is to the one in Rockville. I've never actually dined inside this Tea-Do location but by the looks of it, it appears pretty standard to other store locations. Teado in EC is a cute little spot to hang out with friends. The atmosphere gives this cozy feeling and they offer board games as well. Not to mention, customer service is friendly and efficient! Cleanliess of this establishment is up to standard. Don't forget to get a stamp for your stamp card for every purchase you make! Collect all 10 stamps and you get a free drink! I also love how they close a little later for those who has late night boba cravings like myself! :) P.S. if you get the tropical twist tea, then I recommend getting the sweetness level at 70% instead of 50%. I came to Tea-Do to try a bubble tea, outside of one of my favorite bubble tea establishments. You know what they say, "If it ain't broke don't fix it....." First, when I came into the establishment I heard a person greet me, I had to follow her voice behind a fort of plexi glass ( I get it the pandemic ain't over-over.) After I located the person behind the voice, I proceeded to order my food and drink in a kinda confusing ordering area. Secondly the establishment is too dark in the inside. When a business is located in a small strip mall facing west it sometimes hits and misses with sunlight. As a suggestion they should make up for the lack of light in the inside decor. Thirdly, I get it, the pandemic is not over-over but does this business still need a barrier of chairs with a huge teddy bear guard to send the hint - "Get your purchase and go vibes?!?!" My strawberry milk tea was underwhelming. It also felt like the two young adults working that day lacked any interest or passion in their jobs (no shade). The lack of passion was passed on energetically to my purchase. The shrimp shumai was ok. The takoyaki was a little less than ok, and the baked salmon onigiri - disappointing. They have a plastic curtain with a small window cut out to hand you the drinks and for you to pay, I got an almond milk tea with pudding and it was really sweet, refreshing and flavorful. I've been wanting to come here and now I'm kicking myself for not coming here sooner. This place is located in a small strip off Route 40 and St. John's. Order: Strawberry Milktea - This was delicious and the tapioca was cooked perfectly. It wasn't too hard and not too soft. Parking is free in the parking lot. Oolong Tea - This drink had 7% sweetener added. It also had tapioca that was perfect and the tea was yummy. The service was great. My favorite bubble tea location in the area! I like how you can customize your drink and they truly don't make it too sweet when you ask for little sugar. Hitting up all the bubble tea places in Maryland! I was excited to try a new tea shop. I got O jazz + bubble, which is basically orange green tea. I was pleasantly surprised with the tea taste. It legit had a nice tea taste. The orange threw me off. It was actually dried orange + the rind.... not a fan. I thought it'd be orange juice or something. Then, the bubble.... meh. The chewiness isn't there and no extra flavoring to it such as brown sugar or honey. I don't mind trying other flavors but I'd prob visit another tea shop before I come back again. Came here on the insistence of my son because of the high Yelp reviews. I have to admit, I prefer the old "fake" flavors especially of honeydew and taro and therefore wasn't that enthusiastic. As I expected with these better boba places, they use real taro--which IMHO doesn't actually have much flavor and ends up feeling a little like you're drinking mashed potatoes. However, before I ordered I spotted their specials--they had honeydew! Turns out, part of the reason they're so highly rated is their delicious, perfect texture boba. But even better, the honeydew appeared to come from actual pureed honeydew. It was delicious! I ordered it with no sugar trusting the boba would be sweet enough and it sure was. My go-to boba spot in the area! They have classic drinks like black milk tea, jasmine milk tea, and taro milk tea, but also have some fun fruity drinks with cool names! They even have a yogurt drink series and a bunch of smoothies and snacks (onigiri/takoyaki) Managers here are really nice and if your drink isn't up to your standards, they usually will remake it for you or offer to make a different drink. I usually get 70% sugar for anything i order because I don't like it too too sweet, but usually don't go lower than 70% As a bonus, on Fridays they have an upgrade deal in the evening where they'll charge you the price of a regular and upgrade you to a large (doesn't apply to smoothies i believe, though) I first had Tea Do in Philly, so I was happy they came to Rockville and now Ellicott City. Had no idea a tea do had opened up until my friend told me a couple weeks ago. It's located right behind qdoba on 40. I've only had the bubble tea drinks which are all great. I've had Thai milk tea, black milk tea, strawberry milk tea, and Japanese green milk tea. These drinks are pretty sugary so if you're trying to watch your sugar intake, you can ask them to put less sugar. I believe the options are 0%, 30%, 50%, 80%, or 100% of the normal amount of sugar they put in. Unfortunately they don't have a precise calorie breakdown. They also have 2 main snacks, onigiri and takoyaki. You can subside the meat in the onigiri and it's served with a sauce. Pretty cool actually Bc they give it to you wrapped and you have to take off the wrapping a certain way to eat it. The takoyaki here is pretty good and comes out hot. I've learned that Tea-Do is a favorite of many others after reading previous reviews on this one and how happy they were one opened up in EC. My husband and I are bubble tea fans, so we went to check it out. I think it might have popped up on my radar thanks to Yelp's suggestions near me. We were not disappointed. In fact, we enjoyed it so much, I'm pretty sure we went after work 3 days in a row. lol The flavors are good, and you can add extra bubbles. They usually ask you how sweet and how much ice you want too, which is a really nice touch. I noticed, though, on my last trip, the guy running the cash register did not ask me any of those questions though. I do wish they had some sort of customer loyalty program/punch card. I asked the same cashier, and after slight hesitation/studdering (maybe he didn't understand my question?), he said "no sorry we don't have that."
