    Spicy Chicken Wings Combo

This was my second time here and it was very consistent in taste and freshness. I ordered the beef noodle soup which was a pregnancy craving of mine. It was very fresh and the beef tender. My husband ordered the chicken and it was crispy and flavorful. The service was great and the server told us about the Taiwanese dishes. I love that they have an eating spot and it's nice and chill to enjoy your food.

This small modern spot had a cozy feeling when I went inside. They have a few tables on the side. The cashier was very friendly and helped me navigate my order. The food......this was my first time trying this style of chicken. It wasn't my favorite but I can understand the people that do like it. There was a decent crunch and a dry hot rub. I like a wet sauce better. There wasn't a sticky totally crispy outside which a lot of places in the Ellicott City have.

Overall: delicious fried chicken, large portion sizes, reasonable prices, kind service, in a super small fast-casual spot with a single stall restroom with no changing table. The inside is simple with only a handful of small tables that fit 2-3 people each. The fried chicken and green beans were incredible and I will definitely be back for them. The wings, beef noodle soup, and noodles with spicy sauce were all fine but nothing Is return for. It was pretty empty while we were there, the food took about 10 minutes to come out, and the plastic utensils were not quite strong enough for the job.

summary: a small shop that sells all sorts of things from bubble tea, to fried chicken, and even noodles. Flavor is great, but there are some things I think worth noting before dining here. As far as service goes, there's a person that takes orders and brings the food to you, but that's basically all of the interaction. I feel like the restaurant wants to be more of a grab & go place vs. a dine-in place. There's about 4 tables set up and it's pretty crammed in a small hallway (no tables exceed 3 seats). This is an odd complaint, but they use some of the flimsiest plastic utensils I've ever used. The actual dining logistics aside, we came for the food and it didn't disappoint. I personally found the Taiwanese Fried chicken to be the star of the food. It's perfectly crispy and has a great flavor to it. The mango habenero wings had good flavor, but were on the slightly sweet side for me. The noodle dishes had good depth of flavor. The string beans were kind of meh for me. All in all, they have a great menu of options, but you may want to consider carry/take out if you have a big party. Will definitely come back for more.

Jumbo jumbo is a classic boba and Taiwanese chicken place. If you haven't tried it, you definitely should! Their food menu isn't extensive but they serve extremely fresh and crispy Taiwanese chicken! This location is small with only a few tables and some counter space. Their food is about $8-15 for reasonable portions. Definitely worth checking this place for a quick bite, or your boba fix.

Yummy Fried chicken bites, perfect pairing with bubble teas. This place reminds me of Taiwan for sure!

Absolutely in love with the food at this place. We always get the popcorn chicken and fried green beans -- both 10/10 and so fun to eat with toothpicks! Also love their rice bowls as well. P.S. the beef noodle soup is nothing special but everything else at this place makes up for it

I love Jumbo Jumbo! I wish it came to Northern Virginia. I was on my way back from a road trip when my friend and I had a hankering for Taiwanese popcorn chicken. We were close to Ellicott City, so we decided to stop by here, since he's never had Jumbo Jumbo. Everyone was super nice here, and everything came out within 15-20 minutes (mine took longer, since I had more to-go orders). I like that there's spice levels for people, and that there's a lot of different options for people with certain tastes/ dietary restrictions. I will say that the "mild" for the popcorn chicken doesn't have that much heat, so I might go for the spicy next time to get heat (I ordered a mild + a black pepper). The tofu looks good in the pic, but became super soggy within 5 minutes of receiving the order. I think I might skip out on the tofu next time, but it usually isn't like that each time I order. The squid ran out, but I would order that next time. There were only about 2 staff members during the Saturday afternoon rush, so I might recommend getting 1 more staff member during that time, as it was fairly busy (all seats were taken and there were a few people in line).

"Authentic Taiwanese Flavors You Can't Miss!" Jumbo Jumbo is a true treasure for anyone craving authentic Taiwanese fare. From the moment you step in, the cozy ambiance and friendly service make you feel right at home. The standout dish for me was their Taiwanese fried chicken--it's an absolute game-changer! Perfectly seasoned with a crispy, golden coating, each bite was packed with flavor while staying juicy and tender on the inside. It's hands-down the best I've had outside of Taiwan. Their bubble tea was equally impressive--smooth, flavorful, and paired with boba so fresh it was like they made it to order. You can tell this place takes authenticity seriously, honoring traditional flavors while keeping everything approachable. Jumbo Jumbo has easily become one of my favorite spots. Five stars isn't enough for the quality, care, and love that goes into every dish. I'll be back soon!

Taiwanese Chicken, taiwanese Fried String Bean, and Beef Noodle Soup
    Eunice M.

Came in close to 1pm on a Sunday and we just beat the post-church rush. We ordered the beef soup, their house chicken and string beans, all of which were amazing, very close to what we experienced in Taiwan. The place seats 8 adults comfortably and is mostly set-up as a take out place. The cashier was very nice and even though was the only one working the front, she still brought food to our table, which was very kind. I also had their Jumbo Jumbo Thai tea (powder base) with red bean topping and 50% sweet. Our food was delicious and hot; drink helped to calm down the spiciness of the string beans and chicken. Perfect snack or if you get the rice combos, quick lunch place. We will be back!

After watching a food reviewer talk about how good the taiwanese popcorn chicken was i had to come check this place out. a small milk tea looking shop, the specialties are definitely it's fried chicken, boasting a massive portion at a reasonable price. service was very friendly and fast, with a clean interior that felt modern and like a small cafe. Regarding the food, the chicken was definitely good but nothing outstanding. big crispy pieces of chicken were juicy and flavorful, but i found myself craving a bit more salt to enhance the savoriness. Furthermore, i wish the sides included more veggies or pickles to help cut through the richness as after a few bites of chicken you definitely hit a wall of flavor fatigue. if that wasn't an option i think some kewpie mayo on top would also help to introduce a bit more complexity and solve the savoriness dilemma. overall, jumbo jumbo was a great experience with decent food at a fair price. I wouldn't come searching for this place again unless i had a very specific craving but it does it's fried chicken pretty well!

The best fried string beans you'll ever eat

What my Taiwanese friend describes as street food, and what I'd call delicious & excellent value. The spiced fried chicken is the best version of "popcorn chicken" you'll ever have, and you'll be even happier if you get it with the rice & ground pork. As in all Asian cultures, rice is never a throw-away side. Their rice is just right (cohesive grains, slightly sticky but not clumped). With the ground pork, it's a small entree by itself. The seasoned fried string beans, steaming hot and fresh? Yes please! I finished mine before even leaving the parking lot. Delicious. All the portions are generous. There were a number of people waiting for their tea orders when I was there, but I think the hot food is the star attraction. My 2nd time here and very pleased-- hope they make it, despite the somewhat obscure location in this Ellicott City strip mall. Highly Recommended.

There are several Jumbo Jumbo locations but this has probably been the best I've been to! I went yesterday around lunch time and it was unfortunately very quiet. The establishment is clean and service is attentive and quick. I ordered the Taiwanese chicken combo with tofu and squid balls (the chicken alone is good as well!) They've organized delivery companies into different signages "uber eats, grubhub, etc" and I appreciate how clean it is during these times. My only complaint is that their bathroom is currently unavailable to the public (even paying customers). If I'm ever in the area, I'd be happy to return for their boba!

There is actually a huge amount of chicken, but very little sauce that comes with it. The chicken is also very chewy. Not dry but I do wonder if it was overcooked a little. 3) Salmon onigiri. Ok. Rice was a bit dry. Salmon was ok but the little cubes were falling out as I ate it. Overall, the food was ok. The staff was nice. The environment was cute, definitely Taiwan style with LINE characters and a jumbo bear. The couch the bear sat on was a little stained looking. Menu was a little disjointed and the offerings were written in multiple places, but nowhere altogether. It seemed like there wasn't a ton of business at 4pm on a Wednesday, but I kind of understand why.
