I stumbled across this place while I was doing some shopping. I drink quite a bit of milk tea, so of course this appealed to me. The menu isn't super extensive, which I liked because sometimes these places have a lot going on and they're overly complicated. The photos near the register and on the monitors looked really good, and it's always a bonus when these places have snacks, too! Anyway, I ordered their standard milk tea because I was drawn to the fact that it was their own house blend. Definitely worth it! Like no other blend I've had before. And they left you adjust the sweetness, too. I'd honestly just go back for that. However, the popcorn chicken was heaven! Crispy, juicy, not dry at all. A perfect complement to my tea. And their portions are generous. But here's the kicker! The staff was already super nice, but I am a real klutz and I knocked over most of my drink (smh). They brought out paper towels and a mop, I apologized many times, and then someone from the back replaced my drink! I didn't even ask because it was totally my fault, so I would have just dealt with it. But they surprised me with another one. I was so grateful because I really did like that tea :) All in all, great quality, nice selection, and very friendly staff. I will definitely be stopping here every time I'm in the area. We've been going here since they first opened and noticed now that the drinks and service have definitely taken a nose dive in quality. Today, we made and order here's what we got: The passion fruit drink did not have passion fruit as the photos show, my red bean smoothie...I only tasted milk. Our boba was soggy instead of springy like how it used to be. Their boba used to be competitive to our other favorites in the Bay Area. Service used to be super professional and friendly from the younger students. Today, the owner handed me my drinks with a totally snooty tone after I greeted him with a friendly smile and letting him know I had a pick up order. I don't see how that could have called for that. My wife and I had food and drinks from Tea Dojo today after shopping at the Vacaville Premium Outlets. This excellent place is near the side of the West Elm Outlet Store. We had a matcha latte and a passion fruit mango tea (both yummy and generous quantity) spring rolls (4 fresh and tasty rolls with a dipping sauce), and zucchini sticks (lots of sticks, super delicious, and with a nice ranch dip for those who like to dip -- I do -- but also tasty without the dip). Owners are personable and friendly and pointed out some menu information, such as spicy items, and also asked how sweet I would like my passion fruit mango tea. We sat on a bench near the Tea Dojo and had an enjoyable "mini-picnic" in the shade on this very hot day. We noticed they had pick-up window where patrons were arriving to get orders that we assume were made online or by phone. We will patronize them whenever we go to the Vacaville Premium Outlets. Takoyaki is very delicious. They even put the fish skin as a topping, which is not a lot of store would do that. It's a plus for me. Super yummy popcorn chicken, very savory . Love coming to this place with my family while taking a break shopping at the Vacaville outlets. The inside is very cute and nicely decorated. However they only have 2 chairs and a table for indoor seating. Outside seating they have about 5 tables. This is a bit troublesome in the winter when the weather is cold outside. Our usual order for food are: popcorn chicken, calamari, dojo fries, and takoyaki. All really tasty and fresh piping hot. For drinks we get the thai tea, green thai tea, mango matcha, and mango slushy. I like how for the tea drinks you can still taste the tea. Their sweetness levels are on point, not overly sweet and sugar-y drinks. Customer service is very good and friendly. Definitely a staple place when we are in the area. read more

I came from Los Angeles and I was visiting the area for a wedding. My party are big boba consumers and having lunch in Vacaville we thought to get some as something for the drive home. We stumbled upon tea dojo as it had decent amount of reviews and the drinks looked good on yelp. Upon our arrival we were greeted warmly by our barista and he helped us break down the menu and gave us recommendations on what to order. We ordered red thai tea, green thai tea, mango madness, black milk tea, and lychee blossom milk tea. When we got the drink it looked very unique and looked appetizing. Upon drinking the drinks we were met with great flavors and ample sweetness that wasn't too overbearing or underwhelming. All in all, if I ever did stop by Vacaville tea dojo would be our destination if we ever wanted some boba and or snacks that they serve. read more

Probably the worst boba tea I have ever had. The menu has names like, Bubble Kitty, and how is someone supposed to know what that is? The clerk said it was mango. Ok. Mango and what? She then pointed to an iPad with pictures. I tapped a few. It was pictures of the drinks with the titles, but no descriptions. How is this helpful? I'm not in Vacaville often. I was doing some shopping at the outlets, saw a boba place, and walked in. If a menu offers no description, that's fine, but give a clue in the drink name. Brown Sugar Milk Tea. You know what this is. Jasmine Grapefruit Tea. You know what this is. I'm not someone who enjoys holding up the line to ask, "What is this? What is that? What about this one?" And if I'm just quickly stopping in, I probs don't have time, or don't feel like, looking up an online menu, which may or may not be helpful. Some online menus expect people to know from a title. The clerk here had a bad attitude. I wasn't in the mood for her unfriendly demeanor. I thought, "Maybe she's like the Soup N*zi on Seinfeld & the tea will be amazing!" Wrong. It was the most unsatisfying boba. I didn't even finish it & just tossed it in the trash. There is a sign in the shop saying all sales are final. They will not re-make your drink. You're paying more than premium for a terrible drink, and even slower service. I ordered the meojito which tasted like club soda with a hint of strawberry and lychee flavor here and there. It took forever for the drink to be made, and initially I sympathized, but there were 3 workers and they were calling out orders extremely slow. It just takes them awhile to make each drink.. wouldn't recommend if you're grabbing something to go while shopping. You'll end up stuck waiting. read more

What a great place. Stopped in on way through Vacaville. We were looking for a refreshing treat on a trip up over to Napa. A car load of 6 with kids from 5-13 not the easiest crowd to please in 1 stop. Well enter Tea Dojo this place was great the drinks looked fun the staff were super friendly, the parking easy and the space was safe. There was enough area for the kids to get some energy out and some cool outlet shops around for any that wanted that type of thing. The drinks are unique and provide something for everyone hot cold, fruity, chocolate, boba..you name it and the containers are super cool. Tea dojo was a home run for us and will now be a staple anytime we are close ti Vacaville. Thank you to the new owners what a great family friendly outing. See you soon. Meojito hit the spot! Went in on a hot day in Vacaville after shopping at Sam's club which always stresses me out. I wanted something refreshing but not overly sweet. This was a sparkling water I fused with strawberry , real lychee chunks, lime wedges, and mint. The packaging got me, I'm a sucker for cute packaging. I will drive out from Vallejo just for this in the future. I will try out their milk tea's next time, they look really good as well. The staff was super helpful and nice to boot. read more

For $17 I should get actual chicken, not 3 or 4 bites of chicken in a box full of breading crumbs (see picture) and these weren't even little tiny pieces of chicken with breading on them, it was literally JUST breading, I could crumble it in my hands. Additionally, I got regular sweetness level on the black sugar milk tea, and it tasted super watered down and less sweet than when I order half-sweet at other places. Do not try this new boba place. They do not fix drinks they mess up on. They made sure to show a small sign of no exchange. All the while serving us a rind of watermelon drink. We argued about the taste and they opened a fridge of a watermelon container, filled with bright red juice and watermelon. Said, it taste fresh to us. Another server opened and pulled out the same container ours came from. Dry, rind intact light pink and white watermelons. That's where you made ours from. Why would you do that? After another customer witnessed this too, she tried to explain to them how they are serving us rinds of watermelon, not watermelon. They ignore her too. Not a great start for a new business. I got the meohito with base sugar and it was so cloyingly sweet it was undrinkable and I needed a drink because their cheese sticks are the saltiest I've ever had- perhaps because the only dipping sauce choices are quite sweet (no marinara). I asked for them to remake my drink but they have a no refund/remake policy. To their credit there is a sign, but I didn't notice it, as I was looking at the menu and frankly I've personally never been to a cafe with such a policy. I imagine they have this policy because so many people have asked for remakes. The staff wasn't rude, but they certainly were not polite or apologetic. An all female Gen Z rag-tag crew flying by the seat of their pants with no guidance or supervision. All of the workers do not wash their hands from touching the cash register machine to going back to touching food, nor do they wear gloves when putting food into jars to make Boba drinks. There was one lady that came in off the streets that I guess apparently works there, she did not clock in, did not wash her hands, still had her purse on her shoulders, and started making Boba drinks For people that were standing waiting. The lady that was making my drink, gave it to the wrong person and he stood for two extra minutes till she acknowledged that he was still there. He gave her back the drink and said that this is the wrong drink that I ordered, she looked at the tag and called my name, and I raised my hand and she gave me the drink. I was very disgusted by the way these ladies operated. They don't wash their hands. They don't put on gloves. I hope I don't get diarrhea after drinking this drink. It was a mediocre Boba at best, and it took nearly 15 minutes for my order to come through when there was only three orders at the time of my order. I will not be back. read more
