The boba shop is small but cute. This location is more for a pickup than to hangout. There are a few menus on the screens, but they are a lot to look at. Certain drinks come in certain cute cups. The baristas do not really explain the menus or the drinks unfortunately. The drinks are good if you know what you're getting. I've gotten a green thai tea before that I really enjoyed. This time around I ordered a strawberry matcha latte. I got 0% sweet because I did not want the matcha to be sweetened on top of an already sweet strawberry puree. However, what I ended up with was just a matcha latte. I was disappointed that the baristas did not notify me that the sweetness was the amount of strawberry puree they put in. I was pleasantly surprised to see a red bean smoothie. I have never tried that before. It was good and thick. I ordered my husband some kind of passionfruit orange drink. I like that this place has snacks. They had basil popcorn chicken and we also ordered plain fries. I liked the taste of the fries and the chicken. The chicken had a little spice but not too much where it wouldn't be enjoyable. I would have liked the food better if it was more crispy, but Overall it was good. Oh my goodness had the most amazing lunch today, I got the popcorn chicken, which I have to say was perfect. I've had popcorn, chicken and other places here in Vacaville /Fairfield and they cannot compare to what I had in Sacramento when I first fell in love with this tasty treat the popcorn chicken was very crispy and very flavorful. If you're in the Vacaville area and near the outlets, the Tea Dojo is a must stop. I highly recommend the mango matcha which has real mango chunks and is a super tasty and refreshing drink on a hot day. The food here was also very good and we ordered the sweet chili chicken wings and calamari. John, the owner, was friendly and welcoming and offered us the chicharron which isn't on the menu yet but also very, very delicious. We loved this place and overall great vibes. Very cute drinks but not sure I would come back for them. Got the meojito and a kitty go go? Honestly can't remember the name but it was a sparkling mango drink. Both were very light in flavor and while I love a sparkling drink, I guess it's hard to flavor it with just fresh fruit. I think they needed some syrup to really give it flavor. Boba was definitely not worth a $1 extra and I found it interesting that regular boba was more than agar boba (usually it's the other way around). Both drinks came in cute plastic looking jars. I thought they were glass with metal tops and was impressed that they would give drinks out in glass containers without charging extra, but it's just plastic. Still cute though. The mango drink came with tons of fresh mango, unfortunately the flavors just weren't there. You order inside, where there is one small two person table. Then wait outside and pick the drinks up at the pick up window. Parking easy to find in that part of the outlets (next to west elm). read more

Second time this week I have ordered from here through DD. First I had the Watermelon Green Tea, & today I ordered the Strawberry Matcha since it seems to be the most popular drink. Both were very good. I ordered the cheese sticks - aka mozzarella sticks they're called anywhere else. The odd thing is your only dip choices are sweet chili, ketchup, & ranch. Kinda gave it away they weren't going to be good when marinara isn't offered. They weren't, haha sorry. But no, cold coagulated cheese in mozzarella sticks you can pick up in the freezer section at the grocery store. But anyway, both drinks I've have had are yummy. My taste bud are biased from time in SoCal. But even with lower expectation for the boba milk tea scene in the area, Tea Dojo is very far from my standards. The interior design was nice: everything from name to decor were cat themed. The storefront is at the corner of the Vacaville outlet, which gives it plenty of traffic from thirsty passerby. I got their signature Catnip Thai Latte (less sugar less ice), and it was a major disappointment. I couldn't even finish it. I also got to try my wife's Meojito (less sugar less ice), but that wasn't great either. The high price tag doesn't help either. All in all, I will not go back. read more

Pros: - Order pick up is seamless and is quick - Friendly staff - Packaging is cute (But in my opinion, it would be better to lower their prices if the $$ just goes to packaging) Cons: - Quality of drinks and food has changed. I ordered a pick up for two watermelon green teas and selected 100% for sweetness level but the drinks were bland and did not taste like watermelon. It tasted watered down as well. I came back for watermelon specifically because last I had it it tasted really fresh and good! -Popcorn chicken was also bland and the cut of chicken was inconsistent. some were overly large and some were just crumbs. I agree with other reviews here, for $9 the portion is too small. A bit disappointed and may have to look for a different boba spot in the area. read more

My current go-to spot for drinks and snacks! Their featured drink, Black Flame Milk Tea, is just so amazing. I'm a chronic boba drinker and I can definitely say that this flavor is my all time favorite! It's a black tea with brown sugar and a toasted creme brulee top. Not overly sweet, but definitely reminds me of a smore or a similar dessert. Every time I get food here, it never disappoints. Their fried snacks are too good! My personal favorites: Fried Imitation Crab Sticks, Popcorn Chicken, and Takoyaki. Their trademark "dojo style" toppings are to die for. The only small criticism I could think to make is that the service is a little slow. The bobaristas/workers are always sweet and attentive, but drinks tend to get backed up quickly as there are often a lot of orders. This could also be because some of them are new and are still learning (totally fine). This is a nice place to go if you have free time or you're shopping and need a yummy snack. As soon as we walked in the door, the owner, John, greeted us and told us he was finishing up some orders before taking our order. We weren't in a rush didn't think much of it given the fact he was the only one making drinks with one other person working the kitchen. While we were waiting, John gave us some samples of the watermelon green tea refresher. When he finally took our orders, John was super apologetic about the wait. We ordered the matcha latte, mango matcha latte, and popcorn chicken. The matcha latte was decent, it still had some matcha clumps but the matcha taste was strong which I liked. However for the mango matcha latte, the mango flavoring overpowered the matcha flavor so that was all we tasted. Popcorn chicken was yummy! Hard to find good popcorn chicken in this area. Definitely would come back again for the friendly service and to try the rest of the menu :) read more

I am a bit of a Taro Milk Tea aficionado so I've tried my fair share. I settled on the one from Bang Chicken because of the consistency and taro flavor. However I thought it not sweet enough. Enter Tea Dojo. I like their version very much. Tea Dojo's version has actual bits of taro and sufficient sweetness. I like this one better. Also I tried the Meojito. It is strawberry and lychee concoction that is very refreshing but on the sweeter side. I liked it, but only once in a while. I'd recommend this one too. read more

I got the Dojo-O which is an Orange Green Tea with Boba. I probably didn't choose the best drink because it wasn't for me. I was overwhelmed by the oranges in my drink and could barely taste any tea. We also got an order of Cheese Sticks but they didn't have any marinara sauce so we had to do with ketchup. It wasn't bad but we would've appreciated more sauce. They charge extra for their sauces. Great customer service. Food and drink is made to order to guarantee freshness. Since the food is made to order, it takes a little bit of a wait but that's even better because it will still be hot. Soft opening impressions were good. The staff are kind and friendly, drinks are nice and refreshing, and snacks were delicious. We ordered the red and green Thai tea latte's with boba & agar pearls and the "meo-jito". The drinks had enough flavor to distinguish each ingredient, and the boba was nice and chewy. They also used fresh lychee chunks in the meojito. The chicken snack was cooked nicely. They used chicken thighs which made the each piece nice and succulent. They top their fries with a sweet mayonnaise (??) like topping which was different but good. Everything was packed nice and neatly in custom bags by the staff. I'm not sure if they will be able or maintain this but I def appreciated it. Overall a much welcome addition to the outlet malls to grab a drink as we shopped.
