I used Too Good To Go app to get their donut. Apparently they close then start the pick up time after that because when I went to pick up it said closed but the door was unlocked. JFYI. But this deal was soooo good. $23.75 worth of donuts for $6.99! We loved it.

I experienced something awful at Tea Hive (West Covina). It's the first time I needed to rush towards a trashcan to spit out slimy, oozy, boba. This Tiger Milk ($5.00) not only had gross tofu-like boba, but this beverage's liquid tasted like leftover, watery milk that had been forgotten. The beverage is aesthetically pleasing, but this drink's unsettling and off-putting taste resulted in me pouring it into a nearby bush. Tea Hive (West Covina) is also unmaintained. Staff just ignores the uncleaned tables and unswept floors. One table (similar to another) had napkins laying on the ground while being covered in crumbs. The ambiance is mixed. Tea Hive (West Covina) is superficially cute. The wall artwork is charming; the anime-themed, cute knickknacks are adorable; and the furniture appears new. However, the location is dimly lit and eerie. No music plays. The place is well-ventilated, but all that's left is a slight ghostly chill throughout this empty location. I arrived on a Wednesday (around 10:10am). Staff at the register is cordial and quick. Receipt says Vynita. The drink took six minutes and eight seconds. As mentioned prior, whoever prepared the Tiger Milk with Boba did an awful job. I can tolerate a bland, unsweetened old milk taste; however, I have never had boba that bad before. Those boba balls were more reminiscent of tofu in taste and texture. Overall, Tea Hive (West Covina) is a beautiful location that offers carelessly prepared drinks. Wrapping something gross in a shiny veneer is not a real solution. Tea Hive (West Covina) needs to invest more time in hiring diligent staff and acquiring good-quality ingredients. 1 out of 5

I love the retheming of this place! The mural on the wall and the colorful merchandise make it a fun place to be. I'm a sucker for stamp cards. Buy 10 drinks, get one free. They give you a sticker for buying a drink too. They have some good deals for happy hour worth checking out. I got the brown sugar boba with almond milk. They are not stingy with the brown sugar syrup, which I love! It would be nice if they had oatmilk or soymilk that's more creamy. However, the chairs are so uncomfortable. The back on the chair is so low and there is 0 support. It might as well be a stool. I would stay longer to study and drink a boba if there were better chairs. Sadly there is no vegan options for the food. The cashier clarified with me that the leaf symbol on the menu stands for vegetarian and not vegan. I wish the chow mien and the eggrolls were vegan-friendly. I would come more. The cashier didn't seem super knowledgeable on what drinks were actually vegan or could be made vegan with almond milk either.

This was my first time here and I really loved it! The shop is super cute inside with nice decorations. I tried a box of pastries -- chocolate eclairs, a croissant, a glazed donut with rainbow sprinkles, and even some mini cream puffs. Everything was fresh, soft, and so delicious. I also ordered a tea and the guy working there was kind enough to mix two flavors (passion fruit and guava with glass boba) since I couldn't decide. That small gesture made the experience even better. I'll definitely be back!

I've been to Tea Hive twice, once to try their drinks and the second time to try their breakfast offerings. I ordered their Mangonada. It was pretty sweet, but overall ok. The next visit, I ordered their sausage, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich. The croissant itself was pretty good, flake and fluffy. The sausage and egg were cooked well, but I felt like you could taste the flat top the food was cooked on. It was missing some sort of sauce or spread. Overall, this is a decent spot that have a ton of offerings from drinks, breakfast items, donuts and teriyaki.

2/5 left confused and disappointed Originally, I was leaning toward a 4/5, but my second visit--just hours after my first--completely changed my impression. During my first visit, I ordered three drinks and three ham & cheese croissants (one jalapeño because they ran out of the regular ones). The drinks were just okay. For three Honey Green Teas, I expected a quick turnaround, maybe 2-3 minutes, but the wait dragged on to the point where I wasn't even sure anyone was preparing my order. Still, I brushed it off and appreciated that the drinks were drinkable, so I came back a few hours later for more. During that second visit, I inquired about a rewards program or stamp card. The staff member kindly gave me two stamps for this visit. I mentioned I had just been in earlier that day and asked if I could get stamps for that visit too. She seemed fine with it and went to ask--only to be met with an eye-roll from the woman who helped me earlier (now realizing she's the manager or owner). Instead of acknowledging a returning customer who had just spent over $110 on drinks, croissants, donuts, and a mystery box, she walked to the back without a word. Let's be clear: that kind of attitude is not okay, especially to a returning customer who tipped generously during both visits. Not to mention, I didn't make a fuss when she accidentally charged me for the wrong item earlier and told her to just keep the difference as an extra tip. The guy who handed me my drinks during my first visit and the girl who helped me on the second visit were both friendly and provided good service--shoutout to them. But for the manager: I'm genuinely at a loss. Hospitality matters. You never know who's returning, who's recommending, or who's writing the reviews.

Been there 2x. Nice little place with lots of toys / collections for sale along with tea, coffee, donut and other bake goods. Was actually thinking of making it as my TO GO place for drinks till I realized just now that from the 1st and 2nd time purchase of their drinks, the cup they use SHRINKED!!!! 1st time was taller wider and my 2nd visit was shorter- 1/2" and narrower and of course -- for the same $. A bit discouraging actually. As consumer, of course that is not a good thing. Taste are good and services are ok.

Teriyaki Chicken! If you only get one item here, get the teriyaki chicken (you're welcome). I stopped by on a Friday during lunch rush and there was a handful of people inside. The service was friendly and I was told it's under new management - so be a little patient with them as they get their operations down. I ordered the Beet, Carrot, and Orange juice, donut holes, chicken and steak plate, and donut holes. I don't normally order healthy juices with carrots in them but this was recommended to me as it's their most popular juice drink. It was good if you're looking to stay healthy - there are not any additional sugar added. Donut holes were standard, nothing crazy about them but I love a good solid donut hole. Chicken and Steak Plate - I was so hungry I gobbled this up quickly. The chicken is juicy and had good flavoring. No complaints about the steak but the chicken definitely stole the show. Overall, this was good and I would come back and order it again since it seems healthy as it's your choice of carbs (or you can get steamed veggies) with a protein. The portion sizes are good, you definitely get more bang for your buck here versus skimpy Panda Express. Thai Tea with Boba - they use tea leaves for their thai tea and not powder. My only complaint is the tapioca balls are harder than I prefer it to be. If they were cooked a little longer/softer it would be perfect. Overall, I'll be back!

Came to this place for lunch after getting my hair done next door and I was pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious!! The cashier who was also the cook was very friendly answering all my questions and happily made my bowl with noodles instead of rice. The place was clean with a well stocked fridge full of a variety of drinks. Will definitely return!

Had been wanting to try since i saw it featured on tv. Regret waiting so long!!!!!! I ordered the turkey croissant sandwich and omg! It was sooooooo yummy!!!!!!!!! I also had a chocolate donut and it was so delicious! Came here for a quick stop. I had seen a picture of the fruity pebbles doughnut, and had to try it. It was very tasty. It was moist, and had great flavor. The lady even threw in a few free doughnut holes. I will be back to try the maple bar for sure. read more

We decided to eat here because we saw them featured on channel 5 news with Chris Burrows. I ordered the teriyaki bowl and my husband ordered a teriyaki cheese burger which also included a fried egg in it. My teriyaki bowl was huge!! The portion sizes here are very generous. It was enough for two to three people. My husband liked his burger. He said he would order it again. Everything tasted fresh. The guy that took our order was friendly and very welcoming. read more

I must say that I am extremely dissatisfied with the product that I purchased at this place (dozen mixed donuts). I purchased these at approximately 0620 in the morning so I would assume they would be nice and fluffy. I was wrong. I got to work and immediately was asked when where these donuts made and if they where purchased last week, OMG what an embarrassment! I ate one myself and realized what they were referring too. I made a call to the place to see if they can make things right and replace my donuts. To my surprise they were unwilling and carefree. They made no mention of a replacement other than "they were made last night". What a Shame that a donut shop would ruin their reputation over a dozen donuts!! Buyer beware if you want donuts that taste like rocks and sugar by all means. read more

Great Teriyaki! But don't forget about the donuts! Good prices and variety in this place! Going in for a chicken bowl, some rainbow sherbet for desert and then take some donuts for on the go. Great combinations like the fruity pebbles, oreo and golden grahams! Very good atmosphere and friendly staff! Very easy on your wallet as well. It's a good way to start your day, they open at 5 A.M.! By force I had to put one star because yelp makes you! If not it would be a negative-1star... My husband & I ordered two smoothies his w Boba well as we are walking out he says "oh no ouch, touch this it's really hot in the bottom"! I grab the smoothie and put my Hands on the bottom of it and it's super hot!!! The boba was scorching hot temp...who the F does that? No body in all my years has ever put hot boba in my drink or son's drinks, nor any of my Asian friends have ever had hot scorching boba especially in a smoothie! We went back to return it (keep in mind this is seconds from walking out) my poor hub burned his mouth tasting this junk & the lady in there was so damn rude, she had no remorse to Even say sorry while watching his poor mouth all burnt. She didn't want to return the $ or make a brand new smoothie she said "no that no refunds are allowed".She just wanted to scoop the stuff out or add ice...hell 2 da no ghetto as F***! Finally the man (kitchen)in the back told her to just refund the $3.06 and it was like pulling teeth! She finally had gave us the $ back I work near by and have friends in the area, & believe me this will be well known ! Straight evil! read more

i love this place! they have really good food. i dont like donuts but i love the maple bacon bar! super bomb! and the teriyaki sesame beef bowls are really good price compared to the other teriyaki place around the area. they also have thai tea and bunch other drinks. but one of my favorite parts about this store is you can buy lotto tickets and scratchers! its like heaven! read more

This is the closest doughnut shop to my work so it is usually where I stop. It is your average run of the mill doughnut shop with decent prices but the biggest drawback is they don't have any cake donuts. They only offer the raised donuts. Why not go somewhere else where prices are comparable but they have a better selection. Have not tried the teriyaki so I cant comment. read more

This place is amazing. First of all I love the idea of local businesses and local business owners. The nice couple who owns the place are residence of West covina. Secondly their products are amazing. The biggest donuts you have ever seen. One donut could feed two ppl. The breakfast sandwiches are HUGE and taste great. The have smoothies and drinks with boba. Ice cream.....and teriyaki food that is amazing and affordable. Plus they have the full range of lottery stuff. So happy I accidentally discovered this place. I will be back. read more

We tried the breakfast sandwich (sausage, ham, bacon, egg, and cheese croissant) and they were delicious!! The chocolate used on their donuts is unique-very tasty!! We highly recommend stopping by anytime (breakfast, lunch or dinner). Their shrimp rice is great for lunch or dinner as well. read more

She's made my drinks before and she was always talking with another employee or on her phone while making drinks. I immediately left. It's not my business on how a company runs their business but I can choose whether to purchase! Seems to only happen when it's slow so come during the busy hours!

Simple and it's just what I need to rinse off uric acid from my system. Staff are friendly. The shop is clean. The music is hella LOUD. With the machines going off and everything, the staff will likely develop tinnitus-- definitely a work hazard. If management is "listening"--something to consider. The juice is ready in just under 5 minutes. Fresh, delicious!

So Fresh & Delicious!…read more I tried C&R Fresh Foods for the first time a week ago. I did some research on Yelp to see the menu and recommended options. I was craving a wrap so why not come give em a try. The parking lot has plenty of spaces as it located on the long strip mall in this part of West Covina. The location is pretty chill and quiet outside of the TV playing soccer. The staff who took my order was friendly and allowed me to try sample some smoothies. I came there for the BLT wrap with avocado. My order was served within a few minutes. The staff offered jalapeños on the side as well and constantly checked in with me. I was happy with this wrap! The freshness of the veggies and the crunch from the bacon was perfect. One specific detail I'd have to mention was the cream cheese they use in the wrap. It elevated that wrap it to a new level and brought out all the flavors. I'd return again just for this item. Good customer overall with great food. Come by and try out C & R Fresh Foods! ( ^_^)b

I love this place. My go to for lunch and dinner. Prices are great and portions ample. Owners are always happy to serve. My favorite is their croissant sandwiches where you can even add in jalapenos or avocado. The chicken teriyaki bowl is also very good. Never had a bad experience here with food or service. read more
