Basically the old Mr. Wish, just no longer under the brand. It's funny because the Mr. Wish logo and signs are still on the wall at the city area, but it's not part of the chain anymore. One of those "bought the rights and then dipped" situations. The best part is that everything is SO MUCH CHEAPER NOW. I seriously need to stop going as often as I do because I love it here. Their boba tea is like half the price of other spots in the area. I even came in once just wanting a cup of boba because my friends were making tea at home and wanted to mix it in, and they were totally happy to accommodate. Their boba is brown sugar boba, so they actually put effort into making the drinks taste good. The tea itself is great, the service is super friendly, and honestly I have no notes. Definitely check it out now that it's locally owned instead of a chain.

It was naturally sweet without tasting artificial, allowing the floral notes of the tea to come through. The Dong Ding Tea was the standout for me smooth, aromatic, and incredibly clean-tasting with a rich, roasted finish that lingered pleasantly after each sip. It's the kind of tea you can slowly enjoy and appreciate. If you're looking for authentic, high quality tea instead of overly sweet bubble tea, ChiCha San Chen is definitely worth visiting. I'll absolutely be back to explore more of their menu!

The tea itself is better quality than your average boba place and you can taste the difference. I could not decide, so I ordered both a green tea with passionfruit and a honey osmanthus oolong tea. Both were equally good. I like sweet and so was happy with 100% sweetness for both and less ice. You can't go wrong with their classic boba milk tea either. They have a couple of tables inside for you to sit and enjoy your drink. We were there on a rainy Saturday and were the only ones inside for a while.

The wait takes about 20-30 minutes. I understand that it will take a long time since there are a lot of people and the tea is fresh.

They definitely seem consistent, which I really appreciate. I came with a couple of friends on a Saturday afternoon, and wow... this place was packed. Even with the crowd, the staff stayed friendly and worked quickly, so we didn't have to wait too long for our drinks. One thing I still love is the seating. They have giant plushies sitting in the booths, so if you're by yourself, you're not just awkwardly staring at an empty seat across from you. Maybe I'm the only one who appreciates that, but I think it's a cute touch. The matcha here is the real deal. It's bright green, fragrant, and has that rich, earthy flavor with just enough natural bitterness that you know they're using quality matcha. A lot of places advertise matcha, but this one actually delivers. I ordered one of their matcha desserts with ice cream, and it was creamy, refreshing, and let the matcha flavor shine instead of burying it under sugar. My only complaint is that it was pretty warm inside. It was a hot summer day, and I honestly couldn't tell if the air conditioning was running or if it was just fans. Either way, it wasn't very cool inside. Thankfully I had ice cream, so it didn't bother me too much, but it's something to keep in mind if you're stopping by on a really hot day. Overall, another great visit. Friendly staff, consistently high-quality matcha, and a fun atmosphere. If you're a matcha lover, this is still one of my favorite spots in Chinatown.

I personally thought the matcha one was the best. The service was quick and informative. And I loved the little booths they had, it was adorable. That aside, I do think the drinks are mediocre. I ordered their most popular, Mango Matcha and their Hojicha Latte. Sadly I was disappointed, the mango matcha was VERY sweet, but the texture was creamy. I just couldn't get over the overpowering sweetness of the mango puree, but that's my personal preference. The mango flavor itself wasn't bad! Maybe half sweet would be the way to go, Im not sure if they do adjustments. If you love yuzu, I don't recommend their yuzu soft serve HOWEVER their matcha soft serve is pretty yummy Their Hojicha was watery...I really hoped it would be better. I don't recommend it. The drink was refreshing and fruity with a natural tartness from the dragon fruit. Not overly sweet even though I forgot to ask for less sugar. Their 100 percent sugar tastes more like 75 percent, which I actually liked since I usually go for 50. The boba had a nice chew and was not overly sweet either. The banh mi was really solid. Crispy toasted bread on the outside, soft inside, with a good balance of savory meat, pickled veggies, and fresh herbs. Bright, tangy, and satisfying without feeling heavy. Went around 1:30 so technically past lunch, but it was still busy. There was a bit of a line and people kept crowding or cutting, but the staff were working fast and getting orders out efficiently. They also have a small front area with grab and go items like bottled drinks, spring rolls, and other snacks. There is even a heated case with fried items by the register. Did not try those this time but definitely will next visit. Seating is limited, more of a quick stop spot, but perfect for a casual bite. Overall really good. Great flavors, good portions, and faster service than expected for how busy it gets. Definitely coming back.
