Basically the old Mr. Wish, just no longer under the brand. It's funny because the Mr. Wish logo and signs are still on the wall at the city area, but it's not part of the chain anymore. One of those "bought the rights and then dipped" situations. The best part is that everything is SO MUCH CHEAPER NOW. I seriously need to stop going as often as I do because I love it here. Their boba tea is like half the price of other spots in the area. I even came in once just wanting a cup of boba because my friends were making tea at home and wanted to mix it in, and they were totally happy to accommodate. Their boba is brown sugar boba, so they actually put effort into making the drinks taste good. The tea itself is great, the service is super friendly, and honestly I have no notes. Definitely check it out now that it's locally owned instead of a chain.

It is a very small shop, so there are only a few tables inside, along with a few outside depending on the weather. Although small, the interior is clean and cozy. A single restroom is available. Parking is on the street. Mild noise level. They have a good amount of drink options, including rotating specials, as well as pastries, bread, and misc items like granola and coffee beans. The drinks are delicious - definitely recommend their matcha. The pastries are huge, flavorful, and filling. Slightly dry but I did go right before closing. They have a nice variety of flavors (both sweet and savory), so most palettes will be satisfied. Prices are definitely fair. If I weren't just a traveler passing through, this would easily become a regular spot for me. It's at least on the "must return to" list! 10/10 recommend.

The service was also super kind and answered all my questions I had beforehand. I did wish there was open seating for me either inside or out because I had a long walk but there's only 3 tables inside and a couple out so if you plan on staying maybe come a bit earlier

Each morning, I visited this café during my last visit and enjoying a cup of hot chocolate both times. One of the first things I noticed as I walked into the café was the atmosphere. It felt welcoming! My hot chocolate had the smooth richness and was great to start the morning off. There were plenty of tables to sit at in the morning. The style of the café was great with a modern and clean, yet warm enough to make those early morning hours seem somewhat purposeful, and not as rushed as they could be! If you're looking for breakfast options, it is slightly limited at this café. There were some muffins and baked goods available. My experience with El Café in The Hilton Mōttō was very good overall. I enjoyed the hot chocolate. It was rich, smooth and perfect comfort in the morning on the go. The customer service was also great! They were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Additionally, I thought the prices for their coffee and hot chocolate was reasonable. I'd stop by El Café again if I stay at the Hilton Motto.

A good one at that, the cold brew for $4 (with FREE oat milk in a help-yourself-carafe) was exactly what I was hoping for and wanting. I bopped down from my room, grabbed some drinks, then went back up to my room for little iced coffees in bed. They even had a vegan food option: a coconut yogurt parfait. But is this a destination spot in Philadelphia for coffee? No. I'd still recommend it if someone was specifically staying here; but, also there's genuinely innnncredible coffee shops nearby. So if you're looking for ease/convenience/reliability? Yes, yes, all of that. If you're looking for something special or memorable? I don't know, probably not. And. That's. Okay. A coffee can just be a coffee sometimes, y'know? The staff was super friendly and chill too!

I really loved how easy the menu was to navigate and was intrigued by their house made syrups; I love clean ingredients! We opted for an iced latte with the banana bread syrup, which we were told is rather popular -- delicious, especially because it wasn't overly sweet! The biscuit sandwich was impressive with a beautiful fluffy biscuit, slightly crisp on the outside and soft inside made for a delicious breakfast. On a Saturday morning, it was easy to find a great seat and enjoy conversation over quick bites and sips. Although the blood orange ginger espresso tonic sounded intriguing, I was a little nervous to try it; but maybe next time!
