This was our second time to Teapot East. We had to of the breakfast specials, weigh white Quiche with fruit and an egg plate. The Quiche was the better of the two. We go to the Tea Pot East every time we visit my sister up around here. It is my favorite place to go for breakfast. Everything on the menu is good, and the strawberry waffle is spectacular. A family run place that really projects a warm welcoming feel, the Tea Pot East had burned to the ground a year or two ago and we weren't able to go to it. Happily, they built it back again, just like it was before and we are now able eat here again. You get the feeling most of the people in here are "regulars" who come back again and again. If you are in the area and want a nice breakfast in a great little restaurant, you will love the Tea Pot East! read more

My grandpa eats here literally every morning at 8am. He's a very scheduled man if I've ever seen one, and if I'm visiting back home I will often meet up with him to have breakfast and chat a little. This place's food never disappoints and they have great specials written up on a board everyday. They usually will have a main dish special and a dessert special. I like to get their biscuits and gravy and my grandpa just likes to get whatever sounds good that day, which usually ends up being the special :D The waiters and waitresses are very nice and are worth tipping. They all know my grandpa on a first name basis since he's there every morning. He tells me they even have his coffee ready when he gets there. We had been loyal customers here. They close at 1:00, we came in and a guy said ugh we close (it was about 12:45 with the open sign on). I said so can we come in and he said NO extremely rude with a definite attitude problem. I understand if they don't want to have people come in close to close but there's a way to treat your customers. Disappointed. Won't be back. Food was great. Service was amazing. It's hard to find a restaurant to accommodate the desires of a big group. They nailed it.

Good stuff! Biscuits and gravy were delicious. Restaurant was comfy and clean, wait staff was very polite!

When we walked in the front door, the place was packed. There was one gentleman who was sitting by himself at three two-top tables that had been previously pushed together. As I was looking around, my Husband noticed that this gentlemen had waved us over. Now, being recent transplants from the GR area, we weren't quite sure how to take this invitation (this would have NEVER happened in the city!!) We decided we had nothing to use, and, boy, were we glad!! The food was amazing, and, the conversation was interesting to say the least!! I have no idea why this is such a highly rated restaurant. Just a typical diner. The staff were as sweet as pie. Waitress effectively managed so many tables. Food came out quickly. Food was ok. Had the mini omelet and biscuits and gravy. The coffee was the worse part. Watered down and weak. I had to go somewhere else to get real coffee after. Restaurant was clean. Not a lot of good options. The food was awful!! I just got home and i feel sick to my stomach. We ordered the breakfast of egg, hash brown, bacon and toast, the grilled chicken sandwich and a cheeseburger. The breakfast was overall gross. Tasted a week old and took extremely fast so must of been precooked for a long time. The chicken sandwich tasted rotten and was not cooked all the way. I took a bite and immediate spit it out !!!The cheeseburger was too thin to be on a burger. It was like eating bread. The burger was burnt and the onions and pickles were half frozen!! We complained to our waitress in a very respectful way and she went to the back and started yelling so the whole restaurant was looking at us and the lady. After complaining we waited for our bill and she kept ignoring us!! Waiting more than 10 minutes for the bill and it wasn't busy at all! We added the bill up on the order sheet and she over priced us by 4$!! So we just left the exact money we owed and got out! You would be way better ordering McDonald's. We were very unhappy and now we all fell sick after only a couple bites!!! read more

This restaurant has the most unfriendly staff ever. My husband and I went there for lunch and from the moment we walked in we felt like we were bothering them. The pop comes in cans that are warm. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich that had more mayo then chicken on it and my husband ordered an omelet that was cold. After we received our food the witness never came back to our table. We had to get up and ask someone in the kitchen for our bill. I will NEVER go back there again. read more
