A cute afternoon girls outing to enhance our Downton Abbey movie experience. Loved the spacious room lined with various tea settings. Our host was friendly and invited us to try on tiaras for pictures to remember the day. Although the chicken salad croissants were delicious, we found the bread used for the sandwiches to be dense. Carrot soup and quiche was lacking in flavor. Choice of teas were extensive. If you like your tea strong I would suggest you let them know, so they steep it longer. The promise of homemade clotted cream and scones was a letdown. Generous portion. Overall it was a lovely experience.

I've done probably a dozen high teas in my life, but this one was so different and special. Do NOT sleep on Tea Time in Sunrise. The host is the most gracious i have ever had for a high tea and there are so many elements that made this one deeply special. There are hats to choose from for wearing for your tea time that are so fun and beautiful. The tea was plentiful/flavorful and delicious. The sandwiches, pastries, all of it was so great and adorably set up. The space itself was so cute and I'll admit..the location throws you off a little, as it's in not the nicest plaza. But, again, don't sleep on this place, because when you walk in..it's an adorable little wonderland that transforms you to a wonderful experience. I did a high tea here for my 34th birthday with my sister and we both loved it! Also, the prices are by FAR the most affordable in all of Broward county and includes far more than some of the other overrated spots. Don't pass this place by, you won't regret it!!

Let me just say what a phenomenal experience I had today. Daniella helped me out and was great to converse with. She has a beautiful, kind heart and made me feel super welcome even though I visited the location alone to read. Everything was absolutely delicious from the tea sandwiches to the sweets. I couldn't even finish the entire high tea. The location was small and quaint and exactly what you wanted for a quiet rainy day by yourself or to host a big group. This will definitely be my new spot to decompress. Shout out to Daniella for excellent service today!

Fantastic service, ambiance, food, and most importantly tea! Really easy to make a reservation ahead of time too and I highly recommend it as they can get quite busy. They do sell their tea so if you like any while tasting, you can always bring some tea home. My friend and I came here recently to try the Royal Tea Service, specifically Megan's High Tea. My friend is gluten-free and they were able to easily accommodate the high tea for her with gluten free breads, desserts, and fruits. We each tried different teas while enjoying our mimosa and tea sandwiches. We tried the strawberry fields, French caramel creme brûlée, and the earl grey raspberry. We loved all of the teas but my friend loved the French caramel creme brûlée the most and I loved the earl grey raspberry. I am biased as earl grey is my favorite but this is much sweeter than your typical earl grey. I ended up buying some to enjoy at home as well. The only thing that is different here from other tea services I've had is they used sugar packets instead of sugar bowls and they did not serve any milk with their tea. You may have to ask for the milk to get it instead of it already being setup. I do have to give a shout out to the carrot soup as it was absolutely delicious. I never thought I would like carrot soup, but this one changed my life. We had a wonderful time together, with excellent and attentive service, delicious treats, and extraordinary tea. You won't regret it here!

I came here to celebrate my birthday with my friends and we had a wonderful time. We ended up having the place to ourself for two and a half hours. The owner, Brian, greeted us when we came in. They have a little store area in the front where they sell tea, teapots, hats, Etc. We decided to do the full afternoon tea which comes with a mimosa, quiche and a choice of soup or salad, tea sandwiches, scones and cream and then petite fours. The Mimosa was a little bit of a surprise, they add some grenadine to it and it's delicious. One of my friends is vegetarian and Brian was very accommodating giving her sandwiches that had no meat. I did not want quiche since I had it for breakfast so I asked if I could have instead the soup and salad and he agreed. The pumpkin soup was excellent. The tea sandwiches were super fresh made with different breads. One was pimento cheese, another cucumber sandwich, and egg salad. It comes with a small scone which was tasty. We tried two different pots of tea, we loved the peach ginger. The strawberry tea was okay, didn't care for it. The tea house is under new ownership. They've repainted it and spruced it up. I highly recommend coming here for afternoon tea.

Five of us came for high tea and had a great time! We had Megan's high tea which consisted of a piece of quiche with your choice of soup or salad, 5 sandwiches and mini tea desserts. I had the ginger carrot soup, which wasn't bad but it wasn't hot. I like my soup hot. Each person had their own plate with sandwiches and the sweets, which was great! There was a cucumber sandwich, a chicken croissant, a pimento sandwich, an egg salad sandwich, a purple sandwich (don't remember if it was cranberry cream cheese) and a scone with clotted cream with lemon curd. Loved the clotted cream with lemon curd! I only tried the mini cheesecake, which was good. I sent home my other desserts for my nephews. We received 3 teapots for the 5 of us. I really liked the strawberry tea. We also had a white tea and a ginger peach tea. If you like high tea, you'll like this place.

I can not believe this place is not talked about by everyone, everything here was exceptional from the moment we arrived. It is family owned and the people are the most caring ones in the world when it comes to intimate tea and in general I feel like. We had a reservation (and you need one for the most part) and we were quickly taken to our seats. On Sunday's they have a special and it comes with a slice of quiche and soup or you can get a salad. I opted for the soup and quiche. The flakiness of the crust was amazing and the quiche was above and beyond in flavor. The tomato soup cup was the perfect amount and the creaminess of it was amazing, that I easily could've drank a gallon of it. During your stay you can try as many different pots of tea that you can drink and you get two pots per table. We got the house blend that they make their and I think I have found my new favorite tea, I hope one day they package and sell it because I would go broke buying it, easily. The flavors were amazing and it was steeped to perfection without any bitterness to it. The array of food you get is magnificent as well and everything on it was flavorful and I was trying not to inhale it all at once. The egg sandwich was great but not my favorite, but that is because I need to be in the mood for it. But overall amazing flavor. I loved their pimento cheese sandwich because the cheese was right with flavor and not overpowering as well. The other sandwiches were beautifully flavored and I cant wait to have them again. The desserts were phenomenal and by that point I was so full on food and tea I felt like I was going to explode. The little bundt cake was amazing and the crème in the center was perfect and not overly sweet. I loved the chocolate dipped Madeline the best and it was so soft and flavorful as well. The Sunday brunch comes with a mimosa and it was perfectly combined and rounded out this experience in the best way possible. I can not wait to come back here again and try other teas. They have too many to choose from!!!

The food was top notch, the service was amazing. I can't wait to go back and try everything on the menu. The portions are huge; I recommend getting different things. I am amazed in how tasty the soup was. If they can past a soup test; then you know the food is good. I had a tea party and it was delightful. She brought Britt to you.. when I say this is a hidden gem! Definitely a place to add in your list and I am a sure you will revisit. The cafe close early so make sure to make it in time. I called and made reservations & my table was promptly ready.. the tea party is an option; you can have breakfast lunch or brunch.

Went here for an event on a Sunday evening, we pretty much had the place to ourselves. It's definitely a hidden gem and very unassuming from the outside. When you walk in it's so cute. There are tiaras and hats that you can wear, and other accessories are available for photos. The woman who help us out was great at explaining the options we had. The food and drink selection was great for me, however we had a member of our group that had a gluten allergy and couldn't really have much.

Had a nice afternoon tea at a quaint little place called Tea Time in Sunrise, FL. It is located in a shopping center but don't let that fool you! Lots of charm in this little place. And each chair even has a hat for you to wear for tea! The owner is so sweet and friendly too. We tried 4 different types of tea. The Bella Coola was my favorite. The scones were even in the shape of flowers and hearts which I thought was adorable. Plus they had lemon curd, my favorite! They do practice social distancing guidelines. Only 1 other table when we were there and we were 2 tables away I think. Great small business to support!

This past february was the SECOND time i've visited Tea Time for my birthday! The space is cozy and intimate with tea themed decorations throughout the area. Every seat comes with your own scarf/shawl with a matching fancy hat! Somehow every hat i've gotten has matched my outfit and i love it. The food is so good, always fresh and served perfectly in the style of a fancy tea time. I've attached some pictures but they just don't do it justice. I recommend getting the full brunch experience with a meal and dessert tray! it's actually really filling and i've never finished everything. The owner makes the quiche from scratch and i can say honestly trying her quiche was the first time i've ever really liked quiche The have SO MANY tea selections. Truly one of my main issues is trying to pick one out. Thankfully, they're extremely kind and from what I remember their rule is that you're allowed a new pot at any time and as many tea changes as you can drink! Either way, i usually stick to 2-3 types and pick my favorite tea to buy a HUGE loose leaf bag at the end. I've purchased tea here each year and it's always fresh and packaged really cutely which i imagine would serve perfectly as a gift! You are served by the sweetest people who genuinely care that you're having a good experience. They're super attentive while also giving you space to enjoy the company of your friends. Once I saw a Galentine's event, it was so much fun to see! Plus, they always give me an extra treat for my birthday which makes me feel so special. The picture of me with the candle is something they've done both years without me asking and it's truly the highlight of my experience each year. I Tea Time, they deserve 100 stars. Im already looking forward to next year!!

I had my birthday celebrated here and it surpassed mine and my friend's expectations. The atmosphere was so cute, the service so friendly and attentive, and the food and teas delicious. I believe the price for the full service is $29 and that includes a quiche, and either soup or salad; finger sandwiches, scones, other sweets, and it seemed like several varieties of teas. They even brought out a little apple muffin with a candle on top for my birthday. I would definitely recommend this place for celebrations or just a lovely brunch.

Had afternoon tea for Mother's Day and we loved it. Our favorite tea was the crème brûlée inspired tea. The warm scone and clotted cream was delicious as well as the other sandwiches and treats. They also had mimosas. We enjoyed our time.

I made High Tea reservations for Friday 11/3 beforehand over the phone and spoke with the owner. Originally I asked for 11am, but she asked if 11:30 would be ok. Sure, it would. I'm flexible and was excited for my first High Tea experience. My mom (the birthday girl) and I showed up promptly at 11:30 to a closed and dark space. The sign on the door read "CLOSED" so we were definitely confused. Should we go in? Maybe they forgot to turn on the lights and open the door? An older gentleman, who was sweet, let us in and explained that he was waiting on his boss to open up, and that she should have been there already but didn't know where she was. We wandered around the gift area browsing to kill time. After a few minutes he turned on the lights to the tea parlor area and we sat at the table. It was now 11:50 and the owner was still a no show. My mom and I decided to leave, as we weren't sure if this would effect our team. Would she rush in and throw a plate together? This was concerning and off-putting. Note: I even called that morning at 1045ish to remind the lady we were celebrating a birthday. No one answered and I thought it strange. Later that night around 8:30pm I got a missed call and voicemail from the same owner. An apology maybe? No, just a voicemail acting like she didn't know my number (hello, I just used that to make the reservation yesterday that you were late to today), stating, "had a missed call, sorry to call late." The owner doesn't seem professional or reliable when making reservations and showing up on time. I'm very disappointed in this experience and do not see a second chance in the future. read more

I came here with my mom, cousin, and Nana for my Nana's birthday and she had the time of her life. The parlor is absolutely adorable, and you get a fancy hat and a boa or pearl necklace to wear while you have your tea. We ordered the Victorian, which comes in two courses, and all of the food was immaculate, delicious, and presented in a very fun and authentic way. The owner of the establishment, Lia, is a very sweet and accommodating woman. And she made sure we all had an amazing time. read more

This tea place is absolutely cuteness on blast! The decor is perfect for the tea experience and the owners thoughtfully provided hat's, scarves and other props in case your tea outfit needs accesorizing. I had The Southern Lady and it was more than enough food, my neice had the kids tweedledee and and she gave me thumbs up for her tea and hmmm...yummy for her scones and grilled cheese sandwich...i knew then it was a winner. The rest of the menu was well priced and the tea offerings are wonderful. You can choose several different flavors and try them all. Leah was so good us during our visit. We came for high tea for my mom and my daughter. The tea was really lovely, try the house tea! All the food was great and well done. The scones were still warm. Plenty of space to be socially distanced and the tea parlor and rest of the facilities were very clean. I would highly recommend. We will be visiting again. I would add that we have gone to many high teas as it's something my 9 year old loves. Some places have very small portions. This was not at all a problem at tea time! Most importantly mom and daughter were happy! read more

I think it's time to spill some tea about this place! Let me start off by saying it does look like it's in a sketch area, however don't let that fool you. Oh and there's a lot of parking. Inside is very different but it has a cute little tea set up and staff are wonderful! We had a private party of 24 and it was such an interesting experience! Two teas were served at a time and it was lovely! There were even appetizers that they provided which tasted delicious! We tried I believe 12 different teas many different flavors consisting of peach, raspberry, vanilla, creme brûlée, strawberry, etc. They even provided props to experience the full tea time parlor experience. Everything turned out great! I definitely recommend trying it! read more

My dear friend and I enjoyed this new location for the first time today since they moved here from Parkland. The location is bigger and the tea and food is still the same delicious quality. This is the perfect place to go for catching up with friends, romantic dates, and small gatherings. A nice relaxing time out from the chaos that is South Florida. read more

This hidden gem was an amazing, magical place for our Holiday Book Club meeting! The service was unbelievable with every detail well thought out. The way they serve even the salad dressing is a work of art! We enjoyed their salad, quiche, desserts, tea, and coffee and it could not be better ! The service was amazing and everyone was so lovely. They even helped us pick our hats and scarves according to the color of our outfits! The store and items for purchase had great variety and were more nan reasonably priced! I bough tea spoons, cards, tea napkins, and teapot-gem earrings. Reservations were easy to make and they answered all my questions via yelp messaging !This place is wonderful for just two or large group! read more

We made a reservation and when we showed up, the place was closed despite the fact that the time listed on the door showed that it should be open. When we called, the guy who answered was the same person we talked to originally to make the reservation and he said that they didn't have it. We had to drive a decent distance to get there too. Huge waste of time and extremely disappointing. read more

First walking in you feel like you're about to have tea with the Queen. It's so cute and quaint. Everything is made fresh! I highly recommend this place and look forward to going back with a larger group. The scones are amazing. The tea options are great. My mother-in-law often takes my 5-year-old daughter to the tea house, "Tea Time" and they always rave about the wonderful experience. The atmosphere and exquisite food would be all they could talk about if they weren't outdone by the owner's care and love for her customers. This is such a unique and special experience that I wish more people knew about. If you're thinking about visiting this special place, I highly recommend it. If you are looking for a fun afternoon, very laid-back with lots of time to have conversations with your friends, then look no further. If you are looking for a place to have high tea like a proper English lady, this is the place to come. Reasonable price, fresh made tea and lunch (you have two selections for high tea along with other selections!) and excellent service. I would definitely go back! read more

"Wow" this tea place was like walking into a fairy tale. I made a reservation to celebrate a friends birthday and she just turn into a little girl all over again reminding herself of her own tea parties. She fell in love with the table setting, fine china and silverware. Everything about it, from the decor to the service was amazing and well thought out. I've been to a couple of High tea spots from Vegas, Virginia and even London but didn't realize there was one in South FL until now and so glad it met all expectations and more. I enjoyed the props of funky hats and scarves that added a special touch to the experience that I've never seen at any of the other places. We laughed and truly enjoyed every moment especially our host Leah, who was such a sweetheart and made the tea service experience that much more "delightful" (British accent) lol. read more

By far one of the greatest yet relaxing experience ever. Let me start with the place. It has this beautiful old Victorian style which I love and appreciate. Such an adorable experience. I took my friend here for her 32nd birthday. Me her and her sister. We're all between 26-33 years old. It is so much more then you imagine. The staff is wonderful. So kind and welcoming. Will do anything you ask. They actually had 2 large parties cancel leaving just us 3 to have the whole place to ourselves. Which, if you know anything about business, is VERY KIND! We were also blown away by the food and the amount. Delicious. Fresh. And SO MUCH. we left stuffed. From the quiche to the clotted cream and scones. Amazing. And the TEA!!!! Amazing. I bought some home it was so good. Any kind you want unlimited and amazing. I would LOVE to go there again. I yelped "Tea Rooms" and Tea Time popped up so my friends and I came hear today for lunch. I fell in love with the ambiance the moment we walked in! From the sitting area at the entrance, the decor, to all the beautiful items you can purchase (which we did). Lia greeted us with a big smile and sat us at a beautifully set table with all the accessories you need for a tea party (hats, pearls, scarves...etc). We ordered our pots of teas and then ordered our lunch. I went for the full experience with the The Victorian; A Full Afternoon Tea Service & my friends each had the Queen Esther. Everything was delicious and the service was great. We took pics, drank tea, took pics, ate lunch, took more pics and chatted away having a grand ole time and at no time were we rushed. Lia was very informative and helped us in the dining room and in the gift shop. Did I mention how beautiful the gift shop is? If you are looking to do something different for lunch or brunch with friends, mother/granddaughter daughter day, a bridal/baby shower, then please give them a try. I have no relationship with this place except I cannot wait to visit Fla. again so I can come back here! This review is long overdue but this is a wonderful place that deserves your business! They helped us put on an amazing high tea to go on Mother's Day for my mom that truly made the day special. Went here and had a very lady like time, shared three different delicious teas and the finger foods was perfectly portioned for tea. The ambiance was soft pastels with matching table cloths to napkins. Each seat had its own unique cup with matching saucer, scarf and hat. We sat for almost two hours and the time seemed to fly right by because we were having such a lovely time! I will regiment for anyone to check this out and will be coming back again! read more

What a wonderful experience! I can't even begin to describe. This is where you bring your mom, your girlfriends, etc to feel elegant and sophisticated. Everything is served on china and silver. The teas are wonderful. We tried the caramel creme brûlée and the chai tea. Went on a Sunday which is a set menu, set price per person. You can try different teas and you get lots of little food. But so worth it! It's every girl's dream to play dress up and have a tea party. Make sure to call ahead of time and make a reservation! I had been to this tea place years ago, and while it wasn't great back then, there aren't many tea places around, so we thought we'd give it a try. I called to make a reservation and a nice gentleman, Brian, told me he was the new owner. My daughters, grand daughter, and I arrived promptly at 11:00. The sign on the door read "closed", but the door was open. We walked in and Brian was on the phone with his back to the door. We looked around while he finished his phone conversation. There was no other party there. He looked around to see where to sit us. He sat us at a table that was missing 2 sets of silverware. From the beginning it just felt awkward. He took our orders and off he went. We got a quick glimpse of a lady who seemed to be preparing our food and of a young man cleaning up. Our tea came out after what we felt was a long wait. He explained it had to steep a while. We tried a strawberry and an orange tea. Both were good. My granddaughters food came out, teddy bear tea, cute. Then our soup and quiche and soup and salad came out. It was ok. The soup was exactly as before and the quiche is now an individual tart like serving. The salad was just salad with a couple of tomatoes and a few cranberries. The dressings didn't seem homemade. After another long and awkward wait, came our tower. A few sandwiches all except the pimiento cheese seemed to be store bought fillings, all forgettable. There were a few store bought mini desserts on the plate and a few blueberries. The two macaroons tasted exactly like the ones from Trader Joe's, a cream puff and a chocolate covered eclair, just like the ones Publix sells in a tub, and the tiniest piece of cheesecake, definitely Costco or Sam's club. We did get another pot of tea, chamomile this time, which was the highlight of our experience. A 20% gratuity was automatically added, which we felt is a typical, but in this case was not deserved. In total we paid $144, definitely not worth it. The whole experience was just awkward. Brian seemed very odd and uncomfortable. The food left so much to be desired. We wanted tea, and the teas were good. So, I guess we got what we wanted, but next time I'll make my own pot of chamomile for $2. Good luck to the new owners, they have a lot to learn. read more

I've never been to a restaurant where they serve only Tea, ( all kinds of Tea's from all over the world) scones, desserts, cucumber sandwiches, quiche, tomato soup, salad. We had wonderful service and the place to ourselves for 1 1/2 hour, if u make reservations. What an incredibly hospitable experience with Leah and Tea Time. I called to see if I can place an order to pick up as I was having a very small gathering at home the next day at it was going to be English themed. Leah was very helpful with her suggestions on what she could prepare and what would work for my small party. The next afternoon I went to pick up the order and it was beautifully prepared with a variety of sandwiches and other treats. Everyone loved it and it was very delicious. Like many women's clubs in Florida, the Hollywood Women's Club was founded in 1922 during the Florida Land Boom years. In the 1920's women's clubs were formed to give back to the community. They became a way for women to get out of the house and assert their independence. They allowed women to get involved in politics and launched the women's rights movement. The Hollywood Women's Club predated the founding of the city and in 1924 they joined the General Federation of Women's Clubs. The first club members were the wives of officers in the J.W. Young Organization which was the development company building Hollywood. They met in the first clubhouse that was built on land donated by the founder of Hollywood, Joseph W. Young in 1927. Early club projects included donating hundreds of books to the first public library, holding tag sales to pay for health screenings for children, giving migrating farmers assistance with housing and welfare, getting the Miami Telephone Co. to bring the first telephone line to town, and collecting $12,000 during a war bonds drive. Today the club supports literacy programs, funds a youth scholarship, participates in the Hollywood Historical Society, supports the neighborhood crime watch, and provides financial aid to many state charities through the General Federation of Women's Clubs. The original plans for the clubhouse included an ornate Mediterranean Revival style. After the collapse of the land boom due to the Great Depression and several hurricanes the design was scaled back to a more affordable $25,000 Classical Revival style building in 1927. The building was listed as a a local historical landmark in 1985, and added to the National Register of Historic Place in 1995. Between 2012 and 2014 money was raised by the club and added to a grant to prevent the clubhouse from sinking into the sand. Other cosmetic work was also completed on this charming historical building. In 2022 the Hollywood Women's Club celebrated their 100th anniversary. During this time further electrical improvements and upgrades to the kitchen were made. Today the clubhouse is available to be rented for private events. The 1,200 square foot main event room has hardwood floors and a grand piano and can accommodate 60 people. There is also a catering kitchen. Information on how to rent the clubhouse and join and volunteer with this important civic organization can be found on the club website. If there are any upcoming events you can find that information as well. For instance they hold 2 round bingo nights for $10. The next bingo night is May 30th and they serve inexpensive drinks including alcohol and snacks. For over 100 years the women of Hollywood have been coming together to improve their local community as well as the state of Florida. Very nice and impressively furnished interior. The place is very decorative and full of colors that definitely add great ambiance. As for the tea, I was very pleased by the several flavors and their distinctive tastes which gave each one an unique, yet characteristic trait. I came with my wife and her colleague. It's a great place to sit, relax, drink some tea, and awe at the cute decor of the inside. My wife also had some of the many "snacks" and food, such as the cookies and soup.
