This first watch is very spacious and has ample parking. Staff here is very nice and hardworking. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Coffee was gourmet and delicious. Breakfast here was excellent with perfectly cooked eggs, potatoes, pancakes and meats. They gave generous portions. We loved everything about this place. Biscuits n gravy here are incredible!

Five-Star Mornings at First Watch If you're looking for a breakfast or brunch spot that feels like home--but better--this First Watch location is it. Every dish is made from scratch with fresh, wholesome ingredients that taste like someone's grandma is in the kitchen (but with a modern twist). From the avocado toast to the lemon ricotta pancakes, you can taste the care in every bite. What truly sets this place apart is the hospitality. The servers aren't just friendly--they're intentional, attentive, and genuinely joyful. It's like they're on a mission to make your day better, and they succeed every time. Whether you're customizing your order or asking for recommendations, they meet you with grace and warmth. The vibe? Clean, cozy, and welcoming. You never feel rushed, and the experience is consistently excellent. It's the kind of place where you leave full--not just in your stomach, but in your spirit. Homemade feel. Scratch-made food. Heartfelt service. This First Watch location is a gem, and I always walk away grateful. Highly recommend for anyone who values quality, kindness, and a delicious start to their day.

For the very first time, we went to a First Watch and did not have to wait for a table. And it was a Sunday after church. The place was filled but there wasn't a wait nor a long line. But we did a lot of waiting after being seated. Service was not great. Twice, I had to grab another waitress to get something because ours was nowhere in sight and had not been for a while. Otherwise, the food was fine. The pancakes are enormous. The French toast was yummy. The roast beef sandwich and omelette were good. There were four of us and we averaged about $20 each for our meal including tax and tip.

**Vegetarian Friendly** Big fan of First Watch, and was thrilled Plantation/Sunrise got another location! this particular location did a garage door style sunroom patio for when the weather is better. Cannot wait til winter rolls around! This location was on the bigger side compared to other locations - and has great space if you need to have a larger gathering. Our Order: (1) Morning Mediation Fresh Juice - light and refreshing anytime of day! (2) Kale Tonic Fresh Juice - it's a green juice but tastes nothing like a green juice. (3) Purple Haze Juice - (4) Honey Caramel Crunch Iced Coffee - wayyyyyy too sweet. Felt like a dozen donuts squished into a drink. Skip! (5) Lemon Ricotta Pancakes - so light and fluffy! Excellent balance of tangy lemon with the fresh berries. Skip the lemon compote on top if you don't like sweets. (6) Farmhouse Hash - substituted bacon for black beans instead. Very hearty with the eggs. (7) Side of Fresh Potatoes - they were okay, they tasted better in the hash. (8) Side of Biscuits - light and fluffy, crumbled in your mouth! Service was top notch. Everyone was super friendly too. We will be back!

We've been going since the day this location opened. My wife and I go about 3 times a week (usually after the gym) the staff is always really nice, the food is always consistent, service is good, and prices are fair. My wife says their coffee is really good, I wouldn't know as all I drink is Diet Coke. We've had essentially everything on the menu from the pancakes, the waffles, sandwiches, omelettes, tacos, bowls, seasonal items, my wife gets their special drinks too. Like any restaurant everything won't be perfect, but they will ask and they will do what they can to make it right. The layout is good and most of the chairs are comfortable. I'll put up some pictures

We had a great lunch here we both had the two for you with the Monterey club sandwiches, one with the chopped salad and one with the sweet honey pecan salad. The sandwiches were really fresh and loaded with turkey and bacon and my salad with the sweet honey pecan salad, which is really large and Full of pecans was really delicious. Our waitress was prompt ave we got our food really quick.

Don't realize another FW had opened close by but happy to have another option. Nestled next to the newest Chik fil a in Plantation, this FW is bright and airy with booths, tables and a breakfast bar! Staff were friendly and helpful, providing excellent service. As usual, food and drink were delicious.

This meal was amazing! For someone who is not always in the mood for breakfast food this is a great alternative. Inspired me to try to make my own pesto sauce at home because I could not stop thinking about it!

Worst French toast I've ever had
    Kelsey D.

Idk what's going on today but this is the worst french toast I've ever had. Don't waste your time or money. Served in a bowl, no berry compote, no taste at all and cold. Almost as if they used egg whites and let it sit in the batter or something. Idk I won't be retuning.

As you can tell the food wasn't so good, lol

This is not a "grab it and go because you're desperate" coffee stop. This is intentional coffee. Their croissants are large, golden and big enough to share. The coffee is strong without being bitter -- balanced, smooth, and clearly made by someone who respects the bean. My chai tea latte is consistently on point: properly spiced, not syrupy sweet, and beautifully frothed. No lazy pours here. And the empanadas? Crisp exterior, generous filling, zero "gas station pastry" vibes. Yes, it's not cheap. But neither is quality. You're paying for a café that doesn't cut corners -- and honestly, I respect that. The space itself is small but intentionally cozy. Friendly staff, relaxed pace, no rushing you out the door -- which is rare and appreciated. This is where I go when I want to grab my caffeine, my flaky pastry, and coast until about 11 AM when reality hits and I consider going back. If you appreciate good coffee -- not just coffee -- this is your spot. Plantation Walk continues to deliver.

Mine came in a wine glass and the whole café has such a nice aesthetic vibe. That being said... if you're someone who likes a strong, authentic matcha flavor, this probably isn't the spot for you. The flavored matcha drinks were definitely better, but even then the matcha taste itself was pretty mild. Now the pastries? INCREDIBLE. Easily the highlight for me. If you only get one thing here, make it a pastry because they clearly know what they're doing in that department. I also tried the prosciutto sandwich and personally wasn't a fan. I really didn't understand why there was mayo in it. My brother thought it was fine, so maybe it just wasn't for me. Even though I didn't love the matcha or my sandwich, the staff was super friendly, the pastries were amazing, and the cups were adorable, so I'd still come back... just not for the matcha.

Today, I had some time between appointments and decided to finally sit down, relax, and grab something to eat along with my coffee fix. I ordered a croissant and a cafe con leche. My light meal was brought out to me, and I enjoyed every bite of the perfectly made croissant while sipping on my requested extra hot coffee. As people came and went, I found myself admiring the decor and the friendliness of the staff. The whole place feels cozy, hip, and welcoming. Before leaving, I decided I wasn't done yet and ordered a cortada (hopefully I'm spelling that right). I waited by the counter, but the lady kindly told me she would bring it to my table, even though I didn't mind waiting. It was divine as always. Even the unique little glass cup with its interesting handle stood out to me, and yes, once again, the coffee was perfectly extra hot just the way I like it. I truly enjoyed my alone time there. It can get a little noisy, but honestly, once you settle into your own little zone, you barely notice. I'm off for the week, so I'll probably end up back here again in a couple of days since I'll be in the area. All in all, Ella Cafe is a must try coffee shop experience.
