Tea Traditions catered the San Jose Youth Chamber Orchestra's Mother's Day fundraising event at Nestldown on May 13th. What a great experience and a pleasure! Every morsel was beautifully displayed on fancy plates, trays and 3-tiered stands. The tables were dressed with pretty linens and decorated with lovely vases of flowers. Besides looking beautiful, the tea sandwiches were savory and delicious. The Russian tea cakes and lemon cookies were to die for. The scones with clotted cream and lemon curd were fabulous. The fruit was sweet and ripe. Tea Traditions' brewed ice tea and home-made lemonade were refreshing. Lisa Fahey herself was very accommodating and helped make our fundraiser successful. A coworker of mine recently discovered Tea Traditions and we decided to use Lisa to cater a retirement tea party we were hosting for another coworker. Everyone was very impressed with the food! Not only was everything delicious, it was delivered right on time, very reasonably priced and presented artfully. The finger sandwiches were an especially big hit, as was the pear gorgonzola salad. We used them to cater my daughter's bridal shower. The food was all very good. We had the tea sandwiches fruit tarts and caprese skewers. You could tell everything was freshly made. It was delivered promptly. And they were very easy to work with. I would highly recommend this company. I decided to have a tea party for my daughter's 4th birthday. I stumbled upon tea traditions through yelp and I'm so pleased. Lisa was always prompt with communication and made sure the process was stress free and straight forward. I even had a last minute addition and she accommodated the change with ease. The actual event was hosted by Natalie, who is Lisa's daughter. I cannot tell you enough just how sweet and awesome she was. The place settings were beautiful and she really talked me through the best way to present for the set up of my party. Lisa and her great team catered our baby shower today and it was spectacular! From start to finish, it was a wonderful experience. Lisa was prompt to respond to my request and everything was beyond exceptional. She arrived on time and the layout was beautiful. The food was fresh and delicious. We did not have a single leftover because everyone kept going back for second and third helpings! I highly recommend the apple sausage quiches - they were amazing! Her customer service is great. Lisa took care of my wedding yesterday, and from start to finish she was fabulous to work with! She kept in great communication at all points of the planning process, and responded promptly to any number of e-mails and phone calls. Her staff were professional and well-dressed, and she did an excellent job of cleanup afterward. She packaged our leftovers, there was plenty of food, everything was delicious and high quality, and she went far beyond our expectations. They kept up with replenishing the tables, and despite my failing to mention that there would be cake, they brought enough cake plates for everyone and served it. Tea Traditions catered an afternoon tea bridal shower I hosted for my sister last Saturday at a garden venue. I wanted it to be extra special, and thankfully, Tea Traditions stepped up to the task. Since I was overseas, my mom did all the prior coordinating with a gentleman named Michael who was unfailingly patient and polite with our repeated calls, emails and questions. And believe me, there were many! On the day of the event, we met our host/server Natalie, who was sweet, patient and so helpful. She set up a beautiful buffet table with finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream, lemon curd and strawberry jam, quiche, salad, pastries, fruit, cheese and teas and another beverage table with cold rosé, fresh lemonade, and water in frosty carafes. Our guests raved about the food, as well as the lovely setup. The salad, chicken tarragon sandwiches, chocolate-dipped strawberries, lemon curd and fruit tarts were my personal favorites. Natalie was so helpful and cheerful all throughout the event, going well above and beyond what she was supposed to do. I needed food for my mother's 90th birthday tea party. After checking the reviews, I decided to try Tea Traditions, and I am so glad that I did. It was so easy to order and finalize what we wanted. Michael was very informative and helpful. We did not have the event catered but had platters delivered. Michael called to let us know he was on his way and arrived right on time. The experience far exceeded my expectations. The table was beautifully appointed and each dish so different and elegantly arranged. The food was so fresh and each dish wonderful. Our organization hosts a "Tea" for over 225 guests each year. For the past 3 years, Tea Traditions has been our tea sandwich caterer. The sandwiches are delicious and fresh. It is very difficult to find a cater that can keep the bread from drying out for such a big event. It is one of the major complications of tea sandwiches. They have always been on time and I never had to worry about them not coming through. Lisa is great to work with and she goes out of her way to please the client. I had Tea Traditions cater my sorority's 25th Anniversary Tea Party this past Sunday where we had over 100 people in attendance including our alumni. Tea Traditions was awesome!! I was in contact with Lisa a couple months ago when she created a custom package which included the tableware and food to fit our event's needs. The delivery guys showed up at the exact time we planned on and they helped us carry everything inside and set up. They picked everything up at the exact time we planned and even helped us pack the stuff up. They also provided a cleaning option so we didn't have to clean all of the tableware after the event. The tableware was absolutely beautiful and looked so fancy and very appropriate for a tea party. The food was so delicious too! Everyone at the event was raving about how great the tea party was.
