We've had CP cater our backyard party for about 3 years and they've always been wonderful to work with. There is literally no stress in working with them. The food is well above typical catering fare - I get tons of compliments on it - and they're professional, responsive, efficient and proactive. They show up early, set up beautifully, servers are great, bartenders are great (and they come up with delicious cocktails - the lychee martinis were a HUGE hit), and leave everything in pristine shape. We hired Cafe Primavera for our wedding in May 2022. It was one of the approved vendors with our venue. The tasting was amazing. They hit the spot with everything we asked for. I also liked that the cost proposal was more number of people dependent and didn't have a bunch of fixed costs that we couldn't do anything about. As for the wedding itself, it was a bit unnerving that our coordinator quit couple of weeks before the wedding but their other 2 people stepped in to cover our wedding and they did a good job. There was some issue with adding last minute packages but our wedding planner was able to resolve this with CP. We really liked the food served, it actually tasted like it did at the tasting and the service was great too. Only complaint we have is they ran out of Mai Tai mix and it was one of our signature cocktails! We had told them how many people to expect and provided enough quantity of rums. This company is amazing! We had our wedding a winey in Half Moon Bay and really wanted a pizza oven & CP Catering brought it! We had great passed appetizers for out cocktail hour, salad and 4 different types of great tasting pizzas. They also had an option for a dessert bar; we ordered the mini cannolis and tiramisu. All of our guest loved everything they made. The staff was so professional, kind and prompt. Darcie was great to work with, she made the process so easy for us. Had a really bad experience with them.On the day of my event , the recipients that I personally took to their head quarters to be played weren't nor played ahead of time nor delivered to my party. They caused me a lot of stress . Poor communication, nobody ever responded to my phone calls when I called them to complain. After a while a sales manager reached out to me saying on email that she would reimburse me perhaps for the tip that was charged ahead of time, but they never went through with it unless your event is on business hours , good luck communicating with them! They were on top of everything!!! I cant complain at all. We had reached out to about 5 or 6 caterers and due to various reasons ended up going with CP Fine Catering. I am SO glad we did! We had a anniversary party in our back yard and had about 40 guests. We had so many guests complement us on the food and service. Everything was amazing. Courtney Sanders, Sales Manger, was a pleasure to work with. We spoke to her on 5/1 and received the initial proposal that day! The event was on 6/22 but that didn't seem to be an issue. The price was right and the food recommendations matched our tastes and food restrictions perfectly. I never felt like we would be missing out by excluding this or that because there was always something else just as amazing presented as an alternative. This is the Cafe attached to the Tech Museum. I would go here to eat even if I was not visiting the Museum, it was really good. I actually saw bunch of people do just that. Great food and it was inexpensive and great value. I had the BBQ try-tip which was excellent. The pizza was good too. The red velvet cake was delicious. The minute that Erika arrived for an interview at my home, I knew immediately that she and her company were the chosen ones! As a new widow, full of emotions and indecisiveness, Erika waltzed thru the planning effortlessly and attended to every detail that I had imagined. Erika and CP SAVED MY WEDDING. Our venue informed us on Friday at 12pm that they could no longer host our wedding reception the next day (Saturday). Erika and her team immediately went in to Superhero mode and began calling every venue in the region in the hopes they had an availability the following day. It was only because of Erika and her team that we were able to relocate our wedding reception to another venue the next day. The day of the wedding, Erika and her team handled setting up the table decorations. They turned out beautifully. The servers were attentive and kind throughout the night. I'm reviewing the catering department for Cafe Primavera. I had originally contacted them for catering at Nestldown, seeing as though you can only use one of Nestldown's approved caterers, I figured I'd ping all of them to see who gave me the warm and fuzzy feeling. Yeah, I DID NOT get that here. In a series of emails, it became clear they were not the ones for my wedding. I had an innocent question about the portable oven they planned to rent, (which was going to cost me a ton of $$$$) and I got a snotty reply stating something to the idea that my wedding was so special, and if I wanted people to remember it, and have a good time, I needed to pay tons of money for the food, including the oven rental. Ummm... I think not! People are coming to my wedding to see me get married, and share in the special day, not because of some overrate caterer! For those not familiar, Nestldown has a range oven, and I mentioned that, getting this snotty reply. A simple, well gee, that oven isn't big enough for us to use seeing as though you have 150 ppl, would have been sufficient. I was so pissed after that I didn't even bother emailing her back to say I was moving forward with someone else, but I never got a follow up call, so I guess they didn't need my business anyway. read more

So I was at the Tech Museum for the Mythbusters exhibit and started getting hungry. Seeing as how this was right there in the building I thought it couldn't be that bad. Man, I wish I could turn back time like Cher. Ordered two kids meals, a chicken strip and a grilled cheese. Ordered a bowl of soup, stir fry chicken with rice. Ordered a tri-tip sandwich and a Cobb salad. What we got was a grilled cheese kids meal. a CUP of soup. a tri-tip sandwich and a Cobb salad. And the chicken strips were replaced by a pulled park sandwich. Not sure how they take orders and how they read the order slips but this place was busy and packed. Still, that is not an excuse for running the place like a shit show. Food should be churned out quickly and efficiently in a museum cafe. And having the kitchen prep area open to all to see how horrible things are ran here is not a smart decision. Maybe it wasn't like this before but I hope they get their act together. And as for the food...I think with prices that high they should at least make an effort to make the food slightly more palatable. Just not a good experience. read more

Every bite consists of a crunch from the freshly fried wonton chips. 2. Herb Crusted Lamb Lollipops with Mango Mint Chutney, shall I say anymore? Just the description alone makes me reminisce of the flavor that satisfied my buds. 3. Penne Al Forno with Four Cheeses & Crushed Tomatoes, this is one of the best vegetarian pasta dish that I have ever had. The dish had a little kick in it, just a right amount of spice... kinda reminded me of some Indian Samosas. 4. Rigatoni with Mini Meatballs and Bolognese Sauce; oh-my-gawd, I am totally not a pasta fan but after trying these dishes I may just convert into one. and lastly... my favorite fish/dish... 5. I can't rave enough about how great Cafe Primavera was! They catered my wedding at Byington Winery on May 26th. They were great in adjusting out menu to fit our food budget, were very organized with last minute rental amount changes and were overall very professional! On top of all of that the food was AMAZING! When the caterers showed up on our wedding day they brought with them a crew that immediately got to work setting up everything perfectly and cooking delicious smelling food. I was immediately at ease when they arrived and let them do their thing- and their thing was to cook delicious delectable morsels that were enjoyed by all!! We had passed appetizers of won ton tacos, cheese empanadas, veggie spring rolls and crab cakes as well as a huge cheese, fruit and cracker display that disappeared in minutes!They also saved us two of each appetizer and had it waiting on our sweetheart table to have during dinner since we missed most of cocktail hour which was very sweet! Joanna (owner) also offered to provide us with a free cheese and cracker snack display in my bridal suite which was gorgeous and my hungry friends devoured! They even allowed us to bring our own non-alcoholic drinks that we purchased at smart and final to save money For our dinner we had caesar and caprese salad, roasted asparagus, sundried tomato and artichoke stuffed chicken, tritip in red wine sauce, mushroom ravioli, potato gratin and warm rolls with the cutest molded little butter balls. Everything was beautiful and tasted great! The steak was peppered nicely with rich marinated mushrooms, the chicken was crispy with a tangy sauce and the caesar was nicely garlicky and anchovy just how my mom used to make! My husband and I had been to a few weddings catered by Café Primavera over the last few years, and loved their food, so when looking for a caterer for our own wedding in October 2012, we called them up. We got married at Holman Ranch in Carmel Valley, and I had initially thought that I would go with a local catering company, but after meeting with Joanna, I decided that Café Primavera would be the best fit for us. The planning and tasting meetings were great, and Joanna made the 90 minute drive out to Holman Ranch, not once, but twice to get familiar with the layout and meet with my wedding planner. She listened to what I wanted and really got my vision. Our venue was an all outdoor ranch, with a rustic but beautiful setting. We wanted to make our guests feel at home, like they were at a party in a friends really, really (did I say really) nice backyard, and Joanna nailed it. I sent her pictures of all of my DIY projects and centerpiece vases, and she was able to incorporate some of her pieces in with mine to make the tables perfect. Oh and then of course, there was the food!!!! We received so many compliments on the food from our guests, and even though we didn't have a lot of time to eat ourselves, what we did have was delicious. I'm sure you can't go wrong with anything on their menu, but we loved our choices. We had a long 90 minute cocktail hour and even though it went well over the typical 60 minute time frame, the food kept flowing and no one went hungry. We had passed crab cakes, brie in phyllo cups with mango jalapeno chutney, pigs in a blanket, chicken wonton tacos, risotto fritters and bruschetta. We also had a table set up with breads, crackers, meats, figs, fruits and cheese. Although we missed most of the cocktail hour, Joanna gave us a plate of appetizers to try while we were taking pictures. My favorite were the wonton tacos, and brie, but I'm a sucker for cheese. To keep with our rustic chic theme, we went with family style dinner. We started with a plated salad, and then each table had their own platters of grilled tri tip with horseradish and chimichurri sauces (yum), salmon with basil butter, rosemary and garlic potatoes, pasta, and roasted veggies. We decided to not have a desert course, and even though we did not use Café Primavera for the cupcakes and mini pies we had, they set up an amazing desert buffet and were able to incorporate a few of their pieces with the cake stands and wine barrels I had collected brought in for it. Cafe Primavera is outstanding! I had them cater my 50th birthday and housewarming party after my wife and I had finished up a major remodeling project to house and garden. It was important to me that Andrea had promised to manage the event from A to Z - we got the first quote from her, she set up a beautiful tasting in CP's Campbell kitchen and I was really relieved when she told us that she would also manage the actual event the night of the party. The event location was tricky because we didn't have a lot of finished patio and garden space given the the number of guests. A large part of our backyard was just dust. When Andrea came to check out the event space for the first time a few weeks before the event, we were in the midst of construction. The patio had literally been constructed the week before the event so she never saw the finished setup before the actual event. The CP team still found a really beautiful way to arrange appetizer and dinner station as well as bar. The food was outstanding and many guests were impressed. We had no leftovers! In preparation of the event, we did a total of 4 tastings and quotes. CP was head and shoulders above everybody else in terms of food quality, but was not even the most expensive quote. The quote process overall was very flexible. We changed out a few items in the preparation phase, and even made two major changes to the menu 2 days before the event. If our requests ever created any stress for the CP team, Andrea never made us feel it. All she said was "don't worry". And we never worried, and just concentrated on enjoying the party and entertaining our guests. A job very well done! I reached out to CP Fine Catering, one month before my Corporate event and Courtney reached out to me within the next couple of hours. I gave her my company budget and the total number of guest reaching a whopping of 250 attendees, and she said that it will be possible even though the event is a couple weeks away! So that already blew my mind. Then I threw her another fast ball, that the Mayor of Campbell was attending and giving a speech. No pressure. So this has to be one of the best Corporate parties, since the Mayor and his team are attending. Sure enough, she made it happen! She had her decorate team come in and take over with "ocean Wave ideas" and the bar set-up as well. Her catering team had the best customer service to the point were people were asking me, where I found this team! They were all organized and knew exactly what they were doing.
