The ambiance was clean and orderly. Upon entering, you grab a serving tray lined with parchment and some tongs. The items are in a glass enclosed display that you have to open and place your selections on your tray for purchase. I settled on the pistachio cream filled pecan pastry, the almond twist, and strawberry shortcake. The beverage menu was extensive: matcha, flavored teas, cocoa, espresso/coffee, and more. We were greeted by pleasant staff at checkout and our orders placed in a parchment type bag for take out. They also have seating inside. The pastries were just sweet enough without being overly sweet, which I like. The pistachio cream was a perfect compliment to the pecan encrusted pastry. The almond twist was both flaky and crunchy with the sliced almonds on top, and the strawberry shortcake had layers of real strawberries, whipped topping and yellow cake that was moist. All were fresh. All in all, a great place to stop by for a morning pastry treat and tea/coffee while in the area,

Calming spot to grab a treat, get some work done/journal, or catch up with friends in an aesthetic and modern cafe. Ordered the paradise tea with mango and avocado. I loved the textures and layers of flavors. The drink was filling and lasted me a while, not watery but refreshing. The mango tasted fresh and avocado creamy. I haven't tried the pastries at this location, but have at their other Richmond cafe. Great cakes and buns made fresh in-house. Easy to find parking at the lot outside. Service is pretty quick.

The service was very friendly throughout my visit and really appreciated the attentiveness from the sever. I ended up getting a hot Charcoal Mocha because it seemed like something you can't get anywhere else, it has activated charcoal, espresso, cocoa powder & a touch of coconut oil. I love that they serve their drinks out of fun mugs, it feels homey. To eat, I got the Charter Colony sandwich once I noticed they offered gluten free bread. They have a great game selection and play area for kids and I think this would be a great place to catch up with a friend. Will be back!

Vibe- I came here looking for a place to eat and get some work done. If you're big on ambiance/aesthetics then this is not the place for you. The decor is dated and distracted. I was expecting a neighborhood coffee shop vibe but the staff wasn't particularly friendly or welcoming. Overall, service was underwhelming. Food - both times I ordered the charter colony. The croissant is really the star IMO. It's soft, fluffy, buttery - everything you could ask for! Other than that the sandwich is to be expected. Good but not wowed for the price. The side of potatoes were WAY better during my first visit. They were super crispy and flavorful. This time they were average and bordering burnt. My food came out warm (not hot) and I waited for nearly 15 minutes for my sandwich which felt far too long considering I was the only person (literally!) in the entire restaurant.

They have a lot of seating and the overall aesthetic is great. I also understand they serve ice cream and a variety of other drinks, including alcohol based. They also have food items. Let me just say my review is based solely on my drink because that's the only thing I had. I ordered a chai latte with almond milk, the total was about eight dollars, which I find to be more expensive than other cafés. The chai latte lacked flavor, with no strong notes of black tea or cinnamon to indicate that it is a chai drink. Honestly, to me, it tasted like hot diluted milk. I took about 3/4 sips before I poured the whole thing down the drain at home. It actually was just bad. Really, I should've asked the barista for another drink as this one was not up to standard. I was so disappointed in this as I was excited to experience a new café. Their menu is soooo extensive and I find with places that have such large menus, they usually aren't good. It's too many items that I guess they never get to perfect certain ones.

We split an egg sandwich that we ordered on a croissant. We got turkey, egg, cheese, and tomato. The sandwich was well balanced and the croissant was buttery and flakey. The only downside is the price is on the higher side. Our server was kind and it appeared she was the only one making the drinks so we felt bad for her. The cafe was packed so I'm happy business is booming!
