I only have this to say- my kid walked out and said- "WE ARE NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN." And then later in the car after letting it sink in he turns to me and says, "I can't believe you made me tip him too." So then we went to the Shaky Razor immediately and that place fixed him up proper. I mad a review of the fix it job. Two haircuts is what you get with Teague's. Yesterday, a lodge brother told me he liked my fade and wanted to know who my barber was. That wasn't the first time someone has commented on my haircut, it happens often as a matter of fact. Though it was the first time anyone has taken my recommendation and compared it with Yelp (that I know of) right there, in front of me on the spot. He then looked up from his smart phone and said "there are negative comments about George Teagues personality." Well I've been getting my hair cut by Mr. Teague for just over 20 years now and he's always delivered a great cut at a fair price and if I go early enough during the week I might not have to wait in, too much of a, line. I'm impressed with his consistency, dependability and also the fact that he doesn't have to be overly nice to every customer, every time, regardless of how they treat him or his place of business. Haircut? No Thanks! Come here if you want to experience racism first hand. I came here for a cut, but was not even acknowledged by a single barber. While I took a seat, I got the silent treatment. When an African american gentlemen came in and they greeted him and struck up friendly conversation with him. I also saw a couple of girls come in while I was waiting. As they were getting haircuts, I observed the owner gawking at them while telling his customer how much he wanted to get some of that brown sugar. This is how they treat their paying customers. I got my son haircut by Brent and it was great. I am really picky with my son hair and I was very happy.

I took my 6 year old boys to see PJ today and he was amazing with them! It was their first professional hair cut and PJ was so patient with them and with me on training me how to maintain their styles in between cuts. I walked in thinking that I would just talk to PJ and get some info about making a future appointment but he ended up taking both boys immediately after he finished the cut he was working on. I highly recommend PJ for your boys! read more

First time coming here to get my son's hair cut. Was in a pinch when our regular barber canceled on us. I didn't know Teague's was in our area and my brother in law suggested it. It's hard to find barbers in the tri valley that know how to cut black boys hair. I was happy to be pointed in the direction of this barber shop. I called ahead and PJ was able to help me out. I received the worst haircut of my life. Completely unprofessional and rude barbers. I requested a trim when I had an Afro that was over 5 inches long. The barber "trimmed" my hair to less than a centimeter in length. In addition, the cut was uneven, I had to go to another place to even up the horrible cut that I received at this shop. read more

Went there twice and I do believe I had the owner, Teague, cut my hair. The overall impression of the place is that is the neighborhood barber shop but the attitude isn't. Tried to strike up a conversation with the owner and all I got was monosyllable answers. The haircut was just okay, took him less that 5 minutes to cut my hair. Felt like he was just trying to get me the hell out of his shop. I will be looking for other places to get my haircut. I should have tried the other barbers to see how they were. read more

Nothing special here. The barbers are not friendly and are off-standish. I've been here several times in hopes that I would receive better service every time but it was always the same. They don't listen to what you want and honestly they do a very generic job.
