Such a cute little gem! I already think about my next visit to Con Azucar Café after we visited the cafe. The entire atmosphere creates an impressive experience which people create through their actions. The Frida mural creates an exceptional atmosphere which makes the entire area of the building special. The green velvet booths create a comfortable seating area which provides a cozy atmosphere that people desire when they visit to drink coffee or eat snacks. The strawberry smoothie I ordered came with whipped cream and cinnamon on top and I found it to be excellent because it tasted fresh and creamy with the right amount of sweetness. The restaurant prepares its food with great attention to detail. The staff treated customers with kindness while maintaining a clean and organized environment. The establishment provides a space where customers can stay and unwind while they spend time there. You should visit the place because it will make your Instagram pictures look great. The food at this restaurant looks good for Instagram but its actual taste is exceptionally delicious.

So disappointing. I got a hunch of powder in some dry slush. My horchata frappe was more of a dry slushy. I had a bunch of cinnamon powder at the bottom that I ingested in one go which made me cough so bad. The straw - dainty. You couldn't mix the contents of my plastic cup. I couldn't attempt to make it drinkable if I tried. I remember now why I hadn't been since it opened. Thought it was due to being a baby business but nope. Spent $8 on the drink and a buck on parking. Never gain.

Iced matcha latte w/ duvalin cold foam

*It breaks my heart to make this review as I know how much goes into a business. So I am purely doing this to share my feedback. I have been here two times since they opened. The space is nice and staff is friendly. Unfortunately the drink items I have tried were extremely disappointing. I remember when they opened their downtown SJ location and it was SO yummy! Sadly I do believe their quality had significantly gone down. As I have felt the same visiting the silver creek location. Specifically at the Gilroy location I have tried the iced cafe de olla with vanilla cold foam and a matcha latte with duvalin cold foam. Both of the drinks base lacked SO much flavor. My cafe de olla tasted very watery. As for my matcha latte it tasted like straight milk. Very disappointed considering the drinks were quite pricey $8+. I do hope they can improve the quality and taste as I would love to see their business flourish especially considering how long it took to open. It's a great addition to Gilroy but I nor my family or friends will be returning as we have been continually disappointed.

Very cute cafe for coffee or lunch . Excellent service and delicious food . The avocado toast was huge and only $7.99.

Went yesterday had a busy day and decided to try this place out. Im a coffee snob and love all things coffee so of course it was on my list. Coffee was amazing, the young girl behind the counter seemed to be by herself it wasn't busy but I had a little bit of wait. There was a group in front of me that had several things they ordered so of course being that they make their things instead of popping it in the microwave it takes a little more time. The place was super clean and inviting. The food was actually pretty good. Sorry we all scarfed it down before taking a picture. I will do an updated review pics next time I go. We ordered the choco Mexicano drink hot for me and iced for my oldest daughter she loved it. My younger daughter had chocolate chip cookies with sprinkles. Those were gone like the cookie monster was there! My husband had the cafe de olla which had brown sugar and he complained he doesn't like it sweet so I went back and she replaced it with the regular coffee. He also got the avocado toast which looked amazing. I wish I got one too. I Will text trip! Also the pan dulce and muffin was so fresh and delicious. My daughter also got the ham and grilled cheese who is the picky one and she inhaled it. The flavor was so good on everything we had and we enjoyed it all. Prices are a bit high but honestly you get what you pay for here. I love supporting small businesses. We will back. Soon!

We got sat down pretty quickly. Then the table behind us got sat down 5 mins after. They got greeted right away and got their order taken. 10 mins after our server came and took ours. Our server was taking a big table of 12. In my opinion someone else should've taken our order if the server was busy with a big table. Then our food obviously took a while because there was a huge table before us. By the time our order came out, the table behind us were finished and got their checks and left. Food was delicious as always. The service was non existent, she only came by to take our order and give us our order. She never checked on us. Our drinks were empty. We waited and I tried telling the host that we need the check. 5 mins passed and I asked the host again that we need to pay. She then told me that I can pay at the counter. I went and waited for another 5 mins. Finally our server came up and told me that she went to our table and weren't there. I told her that we have been waiting for a while and that we were not happy about the service. She dismissed what I said. $61 total and left $5 tip. Not my usual style. I normally leave 50% tip. Maybe this is a sign we need to save money and not eat out. We spent about $700 in one week from dining out. Eeeek! Thank you for the reality check!

I appreciate the seasonal feel that so many restaurants lack In our local area. Today I ordered what feels like the most basic thing on the menu, a breakfast burrito with extra meat. It is delicious. Crispy bacon, creamy avocado and a tortilla that is the same texture as my abuelo would prepare. There is many gluten free and fusion cuisine options too. There was a spring green pork noodle something that caught my eye but my heart was set on caffeine and breakfast. I didn't spend any time looking at there beer, wine or mocktail options due to the time of day. The music is chill and there is a gentle breeze coming in from the open door on this perfect spring morning. Outside of the picture, there is people quietly reading/working on laptops or just stopping in for a beverage to go. There's a kids area, currently unoccupied and a local bulletin board of local event happenings. The Clove Art has a unique, restorative feel that Gilroy was desperately lacking in it's downtown scene.

Well I've been in there a few times now and I understand everything Russ is saying, from the amazing delicious pastries to the warm and friendly owners and staff. I've loved everything I e eaten at this place! So I ran in with my husband a few days ago to order a birthday cake for Russ (his favorite bakery). Jeff and I had a great time ordering pastries to go and of course... ordering the burnt almond cake for the celebration a few days away. Jeff got a piece of the most dense/ingredient filled Quiche. Every bite was a taste bud delight and it was very filling! Good quality. No smoking and an excellent breakfast decision. We ordered some coffee cake and a cinnamon roll for others at home and I got a jelly roll that was this beautiful, fluffy, perfectly cooked roll with a bit schmear of a cream cheese/butter icing on top and the apricot jam they crowned it with was stellar! OMG. I'm going back for another one of those. That was an incredible decision. Pictures next visit I promise!!! The restaurant is clean and airy indoors and they have a beautiful seating area with tables and umbrellas outside. I was marveling at the giant leggos and giant games for kids to entertain themselves at while parents sip coffee, tea or another drink and enjoy a leisurely pastry and conversation to make their day special. All in all this place is as amazing as Russ said and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a special experience with food, family and joy.

We drove over 20 miles just to pick up a birthday cake for my son because we have been longtime customers ever since their older location on the other side of Morgan Hill. Their cakes have always been amazing, full of flavor, fresh, moist, and very reasonably priced for the quality you get. While we were there, I decided to try their coffee and I believe the espresso was Tilly brand, and wow it was excellent. I also had one of their cinnamon rolls and it was honestly to die for. Soft, fresh, full of flavor, and one of the best pastries I've had in a long time. What really made the experience even better was the staff. Everyone was super nice, polite, welcoming, and very professional. You can tell they truly care about their customers. Their boss should definitely give them a raise because great customer service like that is hard to find nowadays. If you are ever in the Morgan Hill area and looking for amazing pastries, great coffee, or a delicious birthday cake, look no further. Highly recommend Lawson Bakery! I would have took pictures, but my battery was dead. But next time for sure , I will
