Not too sure what it is about this location but I continue to have unpleasant experiences even after years of not going. Today, I came in to order a tea love milk tea. For reference, the tea love milk tea is just milk tea with egg pudding and boba. I requested my drink to have easy boba and light ice. Upon receiving my order, I took a sip and already did not like it. Not only was the boba hard but there was no flavor in the drink in general. I noticed there was no egg pudding in the drink either. As advertised on the menu on the screen and the menu on the counter, the tea love milk tea comes with boba and egg pudding. I asked the brown haired cashier if there was egg pudding in the drink she said no there wasn't. The reason she gave was that I didn't ask for egg pudding in it. Then, I asked her if egg pudding is or is not included in the drink. She continues to try to tell me that I didn't ask for egg pudding. However, I didn't tell her any other modifications to my drink aside from easy boba and light ice. She starts tapping on the tablet for whatever reason and continues to tell me that if I would have asked for egg pudding then she would have put it in my drink. I asked if she could just remove the boba and put egg pudding instead since the boba was hard. She then tells me "the boba is already in the drink/cup". At this point, I'm not trying to argue but I paid $6.80 for a drink that I have always ordered and order the same way. It was disappointing to know that the cashier chose to not rectify the issue in any way. read more

I preface this review with historical experience at Life Plaza and the Rowland Heights, Ca area when boba started making its waves here to the States in the late 90's / early 2000's. More recently, Ding Tea has been my standard when it comes to boba. My boba was okay. I should have asked for extra ice since I got a larger drink. The flavor was slightly bland, and I've had other Taro drinks where the distinct flavor is apparent. I"m not sure if asking for extra sweet would make a difference. I've also been to place where the drink may be slightly be warm at the bottom, and letting it sit for a few minutes will make the whole drink cold. That wasn't the case here. There wasn't enough ice to make the drink cold. I've tried RB Tea in the Pomona area, and the taro flavor there is much more present. The service here is whatever. I don't expect world-class service, so it's passable. I'm probably on the lower end of the spectrum compared to the rest of the reviews here, so I'd say weigh the other reviews with this one. If you're looking for taro flavor, try elsewhere. read more

Located inside the CVS plaza. I never knew this place existed until my neighbor told me about this boba shop. It's hidden in the corner of the plaza near the clock tower and Flying Rice-a very delicious Asian restaurant. You can order drinks in store or online. I ordered the butterfly tea with boba. I always come here for my favorite milk tea called Tea Love. It's Very tasty, high quality and the butterfly tea is a pretty drink. They have a large variety of boba teas and other tea flavors too. The parking is plentiful and free in a large plaza. They also sell snacks like chips and desserts plus cool merchandise. I Would come here again the next time I want some boba tea. If you like ube like me or would be trying it out the first time, the ube milkshake is great . The ube flavor really shines though, you just might want to reduce the sugar a outie bit because it is pretty sweet. For dessert, the ice cream with boba is also a good choice. read more

Alright... we gave Tea Love another chance to redeem themselves. They are lucky they're next to Flying Asian Rice Kitchen LOL. Otherwise, I probably would not drop in just because. They did okay this time around. Vanilla coffee was really good. Lavender milk tea wasn't as great as I would have liked... it didn't have that WOW tea flavor... maybe I'll try it with black tea next time instead of green tea. Surprisingly, its toppings floated on top instead of sinking to bottom of cup unlike the other drinks... makes me wonder.... light weight topping, hmmm? Tea milk was decent. Beware they've changed owners and I guess how they make drinks. If you get any of the coffee drinks previously then beware they also fill it with 50% creamer/milk by default. I understand people wanting that as an option but making coffee drinks with over half of it milk /creamer is a waste and not a good idea. I mean look at the photo... this is a Hazelnut Coffee at 25% sweet. I chose no creamer or milk and they defaulted to this. Who in their right mind looks at this and is like "yup, that looks like a good coffee". Just common sense. Glad I got my 5 dollar cup of creamer. read more

I went here for the first time thinking it would still be Ding Tea La Verne, but I guess they closed this location and it didn't show on Yelp. It is now called TeaLove. Overall, it was an okay experience. I did like how clean their tea spot was and that there wasn't anybody in line so we waited only 5 minutes for our drinks. My husband and I ordered the Taro Milkshake and the Brown Sugar Milk Tea with egg pudding and boba. Taro Milkshake (22 oz): I would rate this drink 3 stars. Since we saw milkshake on their menu, we were hoping the taro would be a milkshake consistency versus a watery/icy consistency. If you are accustomed to a thick and flavorful taro taste, this wouldn't be the drink for you. I grew up eating taro (ube), so I was disappointed with the taste. Brown Sugar Milk Tea (32 oz): I would rate the taste of the milk tea a 4 and 3 stars for the boba and egg pudding. I was a little disappointed that the boba wasn't really fresh. I am used to boba being fresh and chewy. This one tasted a little overcooked. The staff was friendly and got our order correctly. I hope this tea spot does well. My husband and I were in the area so we decided to try a new location for tea drinks. My husband liked the hazelnut milk tea. However, I was very disappointed with my Jasmine Green Tea. They messed up by putting no sugar. The employee that was making the drinks assumed I wanted unsweetened instead of asking me first. After fixing the drink, they give it to me with no ice so they had to fix it the second time. When I tried the drink, the taste was still bland and not as refreshing that I didn't end up drinking most of the drink. I happened to be in the area and was craving boba! So glad I stopped here. TeaLove is a hidden gem. There aren't a lot of boba places that offer milk alternatives. TeaLove goes above and beyond. They have every alternative from oat milk to soy milk. Substituting the actual milk in a milk tea can be tricky. I was gonna get the oat milk but the worker was very helpful and let me know that my drink tastes better with soy milk. I ordered the butterfly milk tea and substituted the actual milk for soy milk. To be entirely honest, I'm not sure why it's blue. It is sooooo yummy though! Way better than the classic milk tea. Their boba was super fresh and not stale at all. The drink itself can be pretty sweet. We decided to share the drink and that was definitely a good call. I wouldn't have been able to finish it on my own. Some of the boba was a little hard but not all of them so I'm guessing either I got some older boba mixed in with a newer batch of boba or someone didn't cook that batch of boba well. There is never a Boba tea shop that I can pass up and this has become one of my go to spots, but not really for Boba Tea. They have this super delicious Honeydew Fruit slush that is one of their signature drinks and it's easy to see why. The Honeydew flavor shines and the chewy aloe and strawberry popping boba is a kick to the taste buds. It's perfect for a hot day(actually it's perfect for any day), and really cooled me down. I've tried out some of the Boba Milk tea drinks and while they were good they couldn't compete wih the Honeydew slush. read more
