This tea shop's atmosphere is quaint, cozy, fun, and feels very much like a co-op (from the entrance and the tea-sipping area). The entrance is a little hard to spot as it's not like a typical store front, it's more of a hut, with straw walls that you need to identify to go in. The outdoors section is covered by an awning and the indoor tea-sipping area has deep set couch-like chairs. Several events are hosted here like poetry readings, and it's lovely to see the community that shows up here. The selection of tea is very fun to shop through--there are different sections like medicinal to mood-based teas (I've uploaded a few that I found quirky and delightful). You can buy a packet of the tea leaves, or find the flavor you want and then tell the counter who'll brew up a cup for you (hot or cold). My gripe here (and why I removed a star) is that they don't explain what the notes/composition of the tea are, and when I asked the server, he said he didn't know either (which felt odd given how expansive this tea shop is). I recommend parking anywhere in the Claremont village and then walking over, as it's a little hidden and few spaces in the lot adjacent to it.

    #122 Mind relaxing tea
    Dominique R.

I was having a rough day and was looking for a place to unwind and relax my mind. During my search this tea place came up. First it was very hard to find because it is located in an alley behind Some Crust in Claremont. When I walked in the ambiance was really quiet and peaceful. The tea display was set up so nicely. When I first walked in the lady at the counter was so rude. I mentioned I wanted a cup of loose leaf tea and she yelled at me "WHAT NUMBER". I mentioned I never been here before and if she could suggest a tea to relax my mind. She seemed frustrated and marched over to some teas and pointed at them. I ended up searching myself. Once I ordered she asked me if I wanted it hot or cold. I told her hot. I went to the restroom and came back to ask if my tea was done, she said "in a minute" . She had her had down reading something and she seemed as if I interrupted what she was doing. She mumbled under her breath and handed me my tea, which was COLD. I told her I asked for hot, to keep from going back and forth I said, "It is okay, I will take it". Overall the tea is good, but I won't be back. Especially after looking at the rest of the reviews. I don't care how good the product is. If the customer service sucks you lost me as a repeated customer.

    Peach blossom tea. Pretty.

Such a cozy spot in Claremont! I tried the Peach Blossom tea and highly recommend it. Watching the tea bloom in the cup is a beautiful experience, and it tastes just as good as it looks. Will definitely be back.

Hidden gem! Never knew this place existed since it's tucked away! Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. A huge range of teas that help with different things! Over 100 teas to pick from!! The woman in the front was super sweet! Will definitely be coming back!

The tea selection is expansive. Had an ice tea and enjoyed it much. The portion was substancial.

Cool, homey lil loose leaf tea spot hidden in Claremont for smokers and jokers alike. The tea selection is on point, they have something for every occasion. They have a couple employees that seem to all be from the same family--the older gentleman is definitely not gentle lol. So if you're sensitive to that, may not be the place for you, but I usually just give him some shit back and earn that respect back. They have Wi-Fi and patio, what more could you ask for?

There's a set of steps with pillows on each step with a block of about six outlets beside them, and a really comfy, sinky couch (plus an ottoman and two comfy looking armchairs and a big table in the middle) with a set of two outlets on the wall and a star shaped power strip sticking out of the ground with six outlets coming out of it. There are also regular tables and it seems like there are outlets beside them as well. WIFI: The wifi is open (no password necessary), even though they have a password listed where you pick up your food (it's just Sanctuary Coffee). I tried to use one of the locked ones (the only one that made sense), but the wifi password didn't work, so I'm not sure why they have one listed. Regardless, albeit not the fastest wifi I've ever used, it's incredibly doable. I have been working remote here for 1.5 hrs and had almost no issues. MENU: For LA, relatively cheap. I am not a coffee or tea drinker, so I got the peach Italian soda, which was yummy. I believe it was about $4.89, which is not bad at all. I went to And Destroy in the Highland Park-ish area, and I believe an Italian soda with cream (cream is free here) was maybe $7-8. I'm used to paying more for drinks because the specialty (non coffee and tea) drinks are usually pricey, but this was one of the cheapest things on the menu. Also, you can claim a free pastry with your email and first name on their website (it sends you a voucher, just show the email). I got the banana bread, which was fine. I would've gotten zucchini, but it wasn't chocolate chip zucchini. ATMOSPHERE: Not too loud, the music is nice and chill and not very loud. There's cute art on the walls and homey looking lamps. It's the quintessential living room coffee shop, perhaps even rivaling Republik Coffee in Burbank in comfiness, noise level, aesthetic, and price (which is a bummer, because I likely will never be back - we just happened to be in North Pomona today, and I have no idea when we'd ever elect to drive this far again LOL). PARKING: It's in a little strip mall, so there's an actual aboveground lot with plenty of free parking (at least I think it's free, I got dropped off so I didn't pay much attention). Overall, I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking to cowork in a cozy atmosphere for relatively cheap in the North Pomona area. It checks all of my boxes except distance from home. I hope this review helps someone, because I always try to find this information on Yelp about new places to visit and it can be very difficult to find! BATHROOM: I believe there are two single person bathrooms like not stalls just one bathroom. Cute art and aesthetic inside, there are hooks on the walls for your stuff. The air dryer was not very strong and there were no paper towels or seat covers, but other than that there was a nice faucet and cute nice soap like homey soap you'd see in someone's house, and the lock worked fine.

I've been eyeing and peeking behind the blinds at this Nosy Neighbors for a while now and finally pulled the trigger today and mosey-ed on down. What a refreshing little shop in the heart of Claremont Village! Love the greenery surrounding the comfortable sofas, tables & bar seating. I perused their menu and found the ingredients to be so highly tempting. After reading about the menu, I had to stop myself from ordering 4-5 drinks all to my self. I narrowed it down to the Reptar latte that's matcha topped with ube cold foam and the Happy Nut latte mixed with almond & macadamia milk, pistachio syrup & pistachio cream. Staff a super amiable and the youn lady say me eyeing the mini donuts being made via a conveyer contraption & asked if I wanted a sample, I said, "Who me? I thought you'd never ask! You must've been reading my mind" lol. Either that or she saw me drool over the counter while I took a video of the donuts being made (see video please). I thought she was going to give me one mini doughnut, but instead she actually gave me about five mini donuts in one bag. She knew it was going to win me over and so I ordered a dozen coz Hubby would've mowed it all down and all I will have left is the cinnamon & sugar dusting. The drinks were made right away and both were heavenly. I especially loved the matcha with ube cold foam. There were a couple of outdoor seating but I definitely did not want to basque under a heat lamp today. There's only street parking but atleast it's free. It's busy but we snagged a spot right away. Great visit. **** Although, the only downside, my eyes were burning from the concentrated smell or frying of the donuts, that was strong and uncontrollable, perhaps the ventilation needs tweaking.
