I chose Team Honda to service my Honda because my granddaughter is a college student in Baton Rouge, LA. At first everything was great and service department was great. The last two trips were awful. I had the oil changed and tires rotated a few months ago. The next day the car was smoking. I raised the hood and oil was all over everything including the motor. I had to have the car towed to Team Honda (this was on a Sunday) I called and left several messages that it was an emergency and no one called back. I went to Team Honda the next morning and spoke to the service manager who apologized that the cap was not put back on the correctly which caused the oil to splatter. I did get the car fixed and cleaned and 2 free oil changes with a guarantee if I had more problems they would fix the problem. Recently I had the oil changed and tires rotated. My granddaughter got on the road and drove 200 miles home. The next day the back tire was flat. I was okay with that I thought she had just ran over something in the road. (for some reason the tire light never came on). When I got to the tire shop the manager advised me the tire was gone and I needed to buy a new one. I asked what was wrong a nail or something, he said no the tire had been low a while and as she drove it it was worn from the inside and wouldn't even hold air. I said I just got the tires rotated before she got on the road, he said they should have seen that when they took the tire off. I am so thankful to God that she did not have a blowout or flat on the road. (only God). My point is that I don't feel like they pay attention to what they are doing and could endanger lives. I just don't trust them with my vehicle anymore. read more

This story comes from a review I posted about Stevens Honda, and how Team Honda gave me a good experience.: Thankfully I haven't encountered something as bad as this place (Stevens Honda) in awhile. What I'm used to, and what should be the norm is, when you're getting service, you drive up and someone comes to welcome you promptly or at least recognizes that you're there and say that they'll be right with you shortly. I drove in for an oil change and the sign in the bay said to please wait in your car. I also heard the bell ring that announces a car coming in. So I waited..and waited..probably close to two minutes. No one was coming out. Inside I could see technicians chatting..someone was changing a lightbulb..another car pulled in behind me and after another 30 seconds there was no change. That was enough for me. I went in and even for waiting in front of some of the technicians who were chatting I had to announce myself with an "excuse me" before I was recognized. I asked where there might be another Honda dealership nearby. A technician asked why, and I lied through my teeth to say that I was meeting someone at a Honda dealership, but knew it wasn't the one I was at. I had no intention of explaining what they had done and then had to listen to an apology. I had had enough and there really wasn't any excuse for this lack of service. I was given directions and even for going back to my car, as there was another car sitting ahead of me that was waiting to be attended to, I had to wait yet another two minutes for someone just to move that car so I could pull out. I drove for close to 15 min to get to Team Honda, yet even for Richard's Honda being practically right next door to where I was staying in Baton Rouge for a few days, the drive to Team Honda was worth it since its where I received PROPER SERVICE (I was met and greeted promptly and all staff were very friendly and precise with explanations to my questions) . The technicians at Steven Honda were not rude in their words when I talked to them, only seemingly in their attitude in being so completely oblivious to the presence of customers. read more

I'm updating my review to add that I have had issues after the fact with this dealer that I certainly didn't expect. Thank goodness I've taken time to read my owner's manual and play around with the vehicle because the person who did my "outprocessing" and showed me features of my vehicle only went over settings on my touch screen. There were SEVERAL other things that were never mentioned/shown to me and I've come across them on my own. And maybe they aren't used to selling vehicles to people from other states, but I sure have had to stay on top of certain things weeks after purchasing from them. To top it off, personnel you may need to deal with, regardless of department, always seem to be off on any particular day or are otherwise unavailable when you try to contact them. I shouldn't have to do post-purchase legwork and inquiries when I've just dropped over $30K on a vehicle with you. read more

I experienced pretty atrocious experience when I purchased a used Malibu in the middle of 2015, and at least once was outright lied to. I purchased my car just a day or two before the end of the month, agreeing to sign for everything that night as a favor to the salesperson (Ken St. Cyr, who wanted the purchase to count towards that month's quota). I therefore drove off that night without the car having been cleaned, missing some inserts in the interior, and the key fob battery dead. I then went back the morning after to drop off a payment and get the key fob working, and was made to wait more than 3 hours just to drop off a check and be told by Ken that the key fob needed a "special battery" and he would call me as soon as it came in. After a week turned into a month, I tried several times to schedule a time to speak with someone about the battery with no success. (I wasn't willing to go to the dealership to wait even longer in the waiting room I'd spent a total of 10 hours in already.) I've long given up on getting the inserts that Ken promised to get to me, and the car was never actually cleaned. (I even found some paperwork on the floor with sensitive personal information from another interested party!) But I did need that key fob working, so I went to autozone to ask about the "special battery" I would need for this particular model. Turns out, there is no such battery, my fob uses about the most common battery on the market. Ken and Team Honda just wanted to get me out of their hair after they suckered me into signing paperwork before giving me everything they'd agreed to. I cannot recommend enough that prospective car buyers go somewhere else! read more

I drove 2 hours to buy ( I thought) a vehicle they had on their web site and was told by Ruthie after going out looking at it when I got there it was not there. Of course I wasn't happy and good ole Ruthie was to busy to talk with me so I talked with Pat who they say is a manager but his attitude sure is not how I would want my managers to be. He was very short told me the vehicle was being used by the General Manager and I could come back on Tuesday when the G M brings it back so I could just leave. We are very disappointed with team Honda team. We were shopping for new odyssey. We_were dealing with internet manager (Daniel Melkild) and they agreed for a price and also agreed To get the color we needed from another dealership . they set a vipappointment to go and put a deposit so that they can transfer the vehicle from another dealership. When we walked in they said we have to deal with a_sales guy and the guy was least interested to deal with us. He didn't have any details about why we were there. He said he would pull a white odyssey and when we said we have the emails that the internet manager agreed for this particular price and the transfer fee was included in it. He went in and came back and said this is the only option the dealership could offer. Why agree for something and then tell the dealership can't do it. We would have appreciated if someone had bothered to write back to us regarding the unavailability of the requested odyssey instead of letting us walk-in and then someone who is not aware of initial conversation handle the situation. They should have atleast given us a time frame when they would be able to get us our requested odyssey. Its really bad that these guys scheduled a VIP appointment and not even offer a seat to a 7month pregnant women before starting conversation. The main intention of email negotiations was to minimize our time at the dealership. The assigned sales person didn't even knew the complete details of the initial negotiations between us. He restarted re-negotiating on the vehicle transfer fee even though we agreed upon it in our emails. The whole situation gave us an impression that the internet sales manager made mistake in giving an initial quote and later didn't want to agree that price. So they have asked some other person to give random excuses and that guy seemed least interested in our business. He didn't even try to offer any other alternative to get the color we requested and he even stated that it was a mistake we made by contacting multiple dealers and the color we requested is on hold because of that. Who wouldn't contact multiple dealers for getting quotes???? They claim they are the largest dealership in LA ...they may be but with no work ethics. Would suggest you all to shop around NOLA and lafayatte areas. Its worth driving 60-100 miles than deal with this team honda people. read more

My experiences with Team Honda have been overwhelmingly negative to say the least. I went to their lot and started shopping around and decided on a car. One of the few things that I remember about the test drive was the salesperson whom I wont name asking "how does that clutch feel?" within a month of obtaining the car, sure enough, the clutch went out. The cost for an entire clutch replacement was over 1000 dollars. I didn't ask for the money back because I knew they scammed me good and there was nothing that I could do about it. I was told by the sales rep when I went in for a free oil change that he would talk to his bosses and see what he could do but I never heard back from him on that. Speaking of the free oil change, it took around four hours for me to get my oil changed with Team Honda. First they had to order the oil off site and have it delivered and then they explained to me that the tech doing the oil change accidentally drained all of my transmission fluid. At the time of purchase I paid a little extra money to have a dent removed and didn't get them to arrange the bodywork guy to pull the dent until the free oil change day. When I inquired about it the sales rep told me that he wasn't sure they could still get it done because of the amount of time that had went by and I promptly explained to him that if that were the case then I wanted my money back. It was like flipping switch and he immediately told me that he would do whatever it took to get the guy over and he was sorry and forgot that I had paid for the dent to be pulled and that it wasn't a freebie as per the deal. I had to go there early one morning shortly after I bought the car and wait on my sales rep to show up and help me with some arbitrary issue that anyone there could have helped me with but wouldn't because I wasn't going to be spending any money for the day. Finally after an hour of getting shady looks from just about the whole crew there one of the other sales reps had my car pulled into the shop to have the alignment looked at. I really wish I would have picked up on the shady stuff before but I guess it is a lot harder on a sunny saturday afternoon when customers keep rolling through. In the morning shortly after the sun came up and it was a little rainy out I really got a feel for their company culture. It reminded me a lot of going to a shoe store where everyone works on commission and it is obvious how stressed everyone is from lack of business. When I purchased the car I asked if the car maker was expensive to maintain and was told that it was a little bit more than an American made or Japanese car but wasn't as expensive as a Mercedes or BMW, etc. So far I've had the car a little over a year and drove it an extremely low amount of miles since purchase. I have spent a quarter of what the car cost in repairs and the total amount of time that I haven't been able to drive it because of the problems has probably been around two months. I don't hold them responsible for all of the problems with the car as some of these issues are engineering issues, etc but for someone to be specific enough to ask about the clutch and for it to malfunction within a month of buying the car I can't help but think it is a little to coincidental. I will never step foot on that lot again for the rest of my life. I hope a meteor crashes into that snake pit and destroys all those unethical rats. read more

I've been through many trials and tribulations over the years with this dealership with my 1993 Honda Civic Hatchback. I've used their service department, where at times, they were sketchy, but finally after some discussion, the manager or service advisor would do what was right, and to my liking. They are pricey, however. They've fixed just about everything on my car since it's an older one. Richie is the best most knowledgeable mechanic. As for the salesmen in the Sales department, well, they leave a little bit to be desired. I appreciate that they aren't ready to pounce on you as you enter their lot or showroom, looking around, but in the same thought, I would like someone to approach me at SOME point. They look at you and just pass you by, sometimes just saying "hi, how are you?". I will give them credit though, because if there is ever anything I want them to find for me, they look it up. After shopping for a car for my father in 2012, the salesman that helped us stayed late on the lot that night. We test drove many cars and he never once seemed aggravated or frustrated with us. However, he was not knowledgeable about the products he was selling whatsoever. They always tell you, "well you can find it on our website". I want to know the person I am buying my new car from, KNOWS about the car and KNOWS what he is selling, and KNOWS what's in his inventory on the lot so there are no questions or delays. Other than those minor flaws, which to me seem typical of any car dealership, I would say they are the lesser of the evils. haha I would not take my car anywhere else to get it serviced, not even to a non-Honda certified shop. read more

I've been to the service center here many, many times...sometimes just for an oil change and sometimes for repair work. It's pricey and the wait is long. Additionally, when they "fixed" my radiator 2 years ago they put it in incorrectly so that I just had to get a new one again (after verifying with 3 people that the reason it broke again was that it was put in improperly). Worst car buying experience ever. We were interested in buying a used car and even set up an appointment with the specifics on the type of car we were interested in buying. The appointment lasted 45 minutes and we had all of 3 minutes of face to face time with the "salesman" that was "helping" us. With the two questions we were able to ask, he would disappear inside for 15 minutes without even trying to engage us in any type of conversation. We didn't even get the time in to say "we have cash now and are ready to purchase the first car you showed us." (Which was actually the only vehicle they showed us during that entire visit) He was too disinterested in actually helping us. But reading a previous review, it's seems like a blessing we didn't actually purchase a vehicle there. read more

This was a really pleasant experience thanks to our salesman Chris Pham. I'll start by saying we're pretty used to having car salesmen give us the run-around, so we went in pretty guarded. Looking back I can say that Chris wasn't looking to just make as much money off of us as he could, like so many others, he treated us in a way that would ensure we came back whenever we were in the market. I thought of haggling as the product of a bygone era, but I don't think there's a no-haggle dealership out there that isn't priced higher than what you can negotiate down to with a great representative that actually has your best interest in mind. We looked around the used lot after seeing how expensive some of the no-haggle and traditional dealerships were. There were a couple that we liked but nothing that really *popped* until Chris took us over to the new lot. It was December and he told us about Hondas year end incentives and promotions that really made a difference- so much so that we were able to get out of the used car category and into the new one. Since my fiancee will primarily be the one driving it I feel much more comfortable with her in a brand new vehicle. In the end, he listened to what we were looking for and what we needed out of a car, and he showed us a car that I really hadn't given much thought to until then. We both drove it around, did a lot of research, and read a lot of reviews. I was pretty surprised this model had flown under our radar when we were looking on our own. We're both very pleased with our experience with Chris Pham and highly recommend him in particular. read more

I only go to the dealer when I have to because it's expensive and such a long wait. I had a recall so I had to go to the dealer. The recall card told me the repair would only take an hour. When I asked at the desk upon arrival (after making an appointment and arriving early), I was told the wait would be 2 1/2 hours. Then the gentleman checking me in asked if I had a ride or if I wanted to wait. He never offered the shuttle service. Maybe this is only for paying customers? I don't know. So I went into the waiting room and waited and waited and waited. I thought: They're going to come in here and tell me that I need repairs even though I'm here for a free recall repair. Sure enough, in the lady came with a list of "repairs" that I needed. I was peeved. I wasn't there for them to run tests on my car. I was there for them to fix something specific, and I was taking time off work for them to do it. I declined the repairs and waited some more. Finally, I noticed that my car was parked in the parking lot. I gave it 10 minutes. Then I gave it another 20 minutes and finally wandered over to ask if I could collect my car. Afterward, I looked at the "repairs" that were suggested and noticed that one of them was to replenish the washer fluid. Do you know how cheap washer fluid is? A good dealership would have done that as a nice gesture. This is not a good dealership. Sorry. The waiting room is nice with a good selection of tea and coffee. That's the only thing going for this place. read more

Team Honda could have done better, a week ago I purchased a new car and Will there was very helpful and pleasant to talk. I negotiated a price higher than the fair price, when I negotiated a lower price, Team Honda came back with a price higher than the advertised price. I should have run from there when they started negotiating at over the advertised price. The odometer gauge was showing a higher mileage as well, I can understand how everyone had one number and the internal data another. Even though I decline the extended warranty, it was still added into my contract somehow. Shane was courteous and was eager to help me and explained to me how things work with the financial inst., and sales there, this is why I've given them a 3-star review but I think they could be very transparent w/ prices and info. If buying used here, please read!! I went to team Honda to buy an affordable, reliable used car. I ended up purchasing a 2011 Altima. The dealer that handled the situation made me feel very confident that it was a great car. Being young and excited about a new car purchaseI trusted him. He was very confident in telling me about his military background he understands integrity and trust in a dealer. I took the car home and within 2 weeks I kept finding small issues like the tires pulling to one side. I had a mechanic look at the tires and he then found that the entire back end of the car was set off the side and it had been in a bad wreck, even though the dealer told that the wreck on the car fax report was just a fender bender. I took the car back and it spent a week at teem Honda getting the tires aligned and getting other little issues fixed. When I got the car back I noticed the the plastic lining under car was being held up by ZIP TIES, I only noticed this b/c backing out of my driveway the lining fell and made a loud scraping noise, mind you I was going less than 5 mph backing out. I then brought it back for the 2nd time and the used car manager argued say that I must have done something to cause that to happen, basically blaming the issues on me even though I only had the car a few weeks; one of those weeks it was in their shop. The car spent spent over 2 weeks there. In total I had the car for about 5 wks and 3 of those weeks it was in the shop at team Honda. By then I did not want anything to do with this car. The only option team Honda gave me was for them to buy back the Altima and for me get a brand new civic or they wouldn't be able to help. I did that and they only bought the car back from me for half the price I bought it for. In the end I ended up with a civic that is worth 19G and paying a almost 25G for it, meaning I am now upside down on the loan and it will be close to impossible for me to re-sale it one day. I should have been smarter about it but being in my early twenties, I wish they would have been more honest and helpful with me. Instead the blamed the problems from the Altima on me and completely took advantage me. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH TEAM HONDA AGAIN. Every time I speak to someone about it I tell them about my experience there, hoping they won't make the same mistake I did. I have also heard a few other horror stories about used cars at team Honda. Please save yourself the trouble and go somewhere where you won't be taken advantage of. The car used dealers at team Honda are the definition of a shady used car dealership, don't let all the detailed shiny cars, slick words, and clean cut dealers fool you. read more

So I bought a new 2016 Honda HRV about 2 months ago or so from Team Honda, and supposedly, the accounting department is the one responsible for all of the procedures for the license plate and the car registration. So, because I reside and live in a different state, all of those car paper procedures have to be done and mailed to the state where I live/reside at. However, when this people mailed my information to the DMV office where I live, they put the wrong address and the VIN code for the license plate request. So after waiting a month to receive my license plate, I discovered that my license plate was mailed to the wrong address, and that's because the people in accounting messed up putting my home address right, and not the DMV. So now I gotta wait another month for my license plate to arrive, and now, my temporary license plate just expired yesterday, so I can't drive my car anymore. I've been also trying to contact the accountant that did all of my papers and procedures there to help me, but I haven't gotten much help from him. He barely answers his phone (mostly never) when I call him, and has been very rude when I come see him about it. Now, I gotta go there, again, and see if I can get another extension for my temporary license plate. I'm very disappointed on all this, especially with something like this. read more

My experience with Team was good at first. I had a salesman I thought I could trust in giving me a good deal and a good vehicle. However, that feeling soon faded. Sept. 8, 2017, I purchased a 2014 Acura TSX, 20K miles on it from them, so he we thought we received a good car (practically new as far as miles are concerned) however we soon found out that was not the case. The car was in shop the following week, 9/11/17 due to noise that sounded like brakes and rotators. Ok, I didn't get upset just something that wasn't checked prior to selling. 9/25/17 at a speed of 40 miles the car began to shake uncontrollably and I immediately drove right on into Team Honda service dept. they gave me a loaner car that I had for FIVE days because they kept my car because of some recall or issue with the Tar converter. I'm starting to get annoyed at this point because its not been a month yet and I've been in the shop twice with this car. 12/15/17 in the carpool line waiting to pick up my daughter, the car just stopped running, I tried to restart NOTHING, so I called my salesman, who I had a direct cell number for and advised that if I was to get it started I'm coming straight there so they could check it and he stated "don't bring it here, take it to Acura" very harsh and abrupt, however I was able to get it started so I proceeded to Acura. It's like once they sold the Acura to me, they wanted nothing else to do with me or the vehicle THEY SOLD TO ME!! I took the car to Acura they've been nothing but nice and very pleasant they did all types of testing and stated the vehicle passed everything and wasnt sure why it keeps randomly not starting, they said maybe with the cold weather it was just a fluke. I was very upset, but I went on my way. 2/10/18 got up vehicle wouldn't start AGAIN, so NOW I AM FURIOUS! I want them to do something get me out of this car! Took the car to Acura and they kept it for an additional FIVE days, they ran all kinds of test and again it passed still unsure of why it does this. 3/3/18 coming out of Walmart got in my car and it WOULD NOT START AGAIN! Headed straight to Acura, they did more testing and yep.... again they say it passed everything. I contacted Team to see what were they willing to do in getting me out of this vehicle that I had just purchased with them and having all these issues and NO one wanted to speak with me, so I called a few friends and finally... I got the attention of one of the managers at Team last name Allban or something and he called me...... I explained everything to him and advised him that the car fax I received at the sale of this vehicle was very different from the one I actually paid for myself and received a few months ago and it shows they had issues with the sale of this car back in 2014-2015, and he did say they did... so my question was why would they put it back out to be sold to someone else, I never got an answer to that question. However he assured me that they would do everything possible to get me into a better vehicle. However, after speaking with one of their salesman... Eric, he was very nice but told me I would need to put this HUGE down payment down (which I can't afford) in order to get into something else..... So WHAT exactly did Team do to right THEIR wrong and help get out of this vehicle they sold me... NOTHING!! However at this point, I'm soo done with this car and Team Honda! My attorney has all of this info and I will proceed accordingly! read more

Truly awful experience. Team Honda employee encouraged us to use the "free shuttle" service, as we were new to the BR area, and our wait would be lengthy. We were promised to be picked up promptly after our vehicle was serviced.Driver reassured us that he would be able to bring us back, no trouble. He would not leave us. Needless to say, upon calling for the status of our vehicle we called for pick- up and were told that it was our responsibility to get back. We were also informed that shuttle driver was gone for the day. There were no cabs to get us back, so we tried to walk the two miles on I-10 traffic. It took us 4 tries pleading our case before someone finally decided to spare us and get us back to dealership. Driver done this begrudgingly, like it was a major inconvienience. Is this how you treat your customers? It was a two mile trip, but we couldnt walk the interstate. We are humans, we just wanted help. I'm sure a two mile pick-up is not going to break Honda's bank acct. But they acted like we were the worst. Car wasn't even fixed properly. But I wont bring it back. read more

I have been a loyal customer of Team Honda for 6 years, having bought two new vehicles from there and referred others to them for purchases, but that ended today. The salesman I bought from transferred to a new dealership. My intention was to shop at both locations to see where I could get the best deal, which I told the salesman when I arrived. After picking out a car and getting an offer, I told him I was going to check the other dealership but would probably be back. That's when he "called me to the side" to tell me that he had sold a car the week before to the biological daughter of the salesman I was going to see. I was appalled that he would use such sleazy tactics to try to make a deal. I went to the other dealership, bought a car from my salesman who had transferred there for a better deal than Team Honda offered me. I then called the Team Honda salesman's supervisor to report what had happened. Imagine my surprise when he told me he had instructed the salesman to tell me that. we bought my 2010 accord new. got a great deal, salesman was nice. service writers don't know crap. had a window seal come loose they shoved it in and that's all, tried to have it fixed correctly was told car out of warranty, it was their mistake by not fixing it right the first time, its still not fixed, also I have a tire that leaks air, has from day one, I asked about a warranty on the tire since its a defect. was told no by service writer twice and the sales guy. months later I went thru my white packet where the owners manual is, guess what I found yup the warranty on my tires of course at this point it had expired. I have some sort of electrical issue when the ac or wipers kick on the lights dim for a sec, they couldn't figure out what was wrong so they just replaced the battery. 6 months later the battery failed went to have it replaced since it was still under its warranty only to be told that since they put the battery in at no charge, the warranty doesn't apply, not to mention the car is so loud, not engine noise more so road noise, sounds as if theres no bottom to the car or its paper thin. sucks, I was so excited to finally get a Honda, only to have my dream shot down by all the issues. shameful......unless u buy a car new every year you can forget them helping you out with a loaner if in the shop longer then 4 hours like the salesperson said...smh, read more

do not do business with these people. they are crooks, lazy and inconsiderate. i bought a 2010 honda accord from them used and come to find out they didn't even service it before selling it. it wasn't serviced until the day after i bought it and after 10 grand in notes and 10 grand in repairs i found out it was a junk/salvage!!!! they took it in on trade and didn't do anything with it until i purchased it. i brought them all of my paperwork showing this car was a piece of junk. their response. we will give you 4 grand and "we will try and do what we can to help you find another car!!!" what is wrong with you people. i carry my two children in this car and in 3 years didn't even put 50k miles on it!!!! i can't go over 55 on the bridge because the front end cv axle shafts need to be replaced again for the 7th time. you all should be ashamed of yourselves for lying to people and not doing your job the correct way!!!! i'm going straight to the bbb and also the district attorney. read more
