My housemate had a car accident on the street where we were scrambling to clear out my house before it was officially sold. The car wasn't drivable and we called several tow companies to come get it and transport it to the body shop. After encountering several "no, we require more notice" responses, we called Team Towing and he was on it! He even came to our Portland home to get the key before he picked it up. I observed a large flatbed truck towing a white F350 Superduty westbound on State Hwy 14 in Vancouver, WA at approximately 3:15pm 5/15/2020. The truck had a Team Towing emblem and was driving erratically in high speed traffic, speeding, not signaling lane changes, and endangering others driving on the highway by making reckless lane changes with a heavy load. I called team towing and left a concerning message as I had almost wrecked my truck do to this reckless negligent driver and have not yet heard back. read more

What a friggin' scam! My daughter's car was broken into and disabled in front of her apartment. Team Towing charged $226.00 to tow the car 1.4 miles! When I called to find out why the fee was so high, the receptionist said that $160.00 was an "accident fee" to remove the car quickly from the scene. When I told her the car was parked at the curb not disturbing anything, she responded with, "Then the fee was probably because the tow-driver couldn't drive the car onto the tow mount." Duh! Why would she need a tow truck if the car was drivable? When I mentioned that, her third explanation was that if a car is in an accident or theft is involved they charge the $160.00 fee. It was a no-win conversation. They also charged $45.00 for a dispatch fee. $45.00 to make a call! What a rip off! Team Tow never asked my daughter if she had AAA service and said after the fact, that while they honor AAA, they can't reimburse the already paid fee. They did however say, they ASSUMED insurance would pay for the tow. Ooooooh big pet-peeve! inflated prices for the insurance to pay; not cool! On top of it all, the insurance wasn't any help either; in a three-way-call that began this journey, insurance directed my daughter to the garage that directed her to the tow company (their reviews to follow). In a situation like this, that doesn't happen to a person everyday, you'd think businesses that do deal with situations like this everyday, would be more helpful; Guess that's what I get for ASSUMING! Everyone knows a narcissistic bully who over talks you just because they are never wrong.... I call them Teflon John types... This is who answers the phone at this business. I called due to my scheduled tow being a no show and this man explained everything but why my car wasn't being picked up. I told him that I didn't understand his explanation and to please give me a moment to ask a question. He continued to talk over me. I then just talked louder and over him and told him I was cancelling and finding another business and his reply was "GOOD!" His interaction was enough to know that if I had any issues with my car after my tow, he would be difficult to deal with, so I cancelled. read more

Team Towing got or VW Beetle back to Trafton's (accelerator cable this time - you have to expect that in a '72) with efficiency and very little fuss. Having to call a tow truck is never a fun situation, but Danny with Team Towing made my bad day a little brighter. After calling in for a tow, Danny showed up within 20 minutes and was very gentle with my lowered car. He even took time to explain to me what he was doing to protect my paint etc while he was hooking it up. He then recommended a repair shop that was also phenomenal. Team Towing/Danny "once again" took 100% care of us. We broke down Saturday night in NE (25th and Knott area) Portland, We called Danny. He was there in about 45 minutes (from Gresham), put our truck on his tow and took us over to the west side (Tigard and Scholls Ferry area). The whole process was very painless and took about 2 hours. We have called him every time something happens. Flat tire, battery or whatever it might be. We have State Farm Insurance so that helps also. We would recommend Team Towing/Danny to everyone. read more

Thankfully insurance covered the tow but they were 2.5 hours late coming to pick up the car. Called once and they told me it was running 45 minutes behind, called again for them to tell me they were still another hour behind and then after the driver called and told me he was 20 minutes away I had to wait another 40. When the guy got there he was friendly (and speedy in getting it taken care of) as well as the staff on the phone but it was just really stressful (on top of already needing a tow) because I had to go back thru insurance to switch to another shop since the shop I originally arranged the drop off at was going to close soon after waiting nearly 3 hours. read more

So on a Tuesday evening my car broke down right in middle of downtown Portland. I called my roadside assistance program through my car insurance company and they said Team Towing would be enroute in about 45 minutes. Well it took 90 minutes...but the tow truck driver was exceptional so it made up for the wait. Paul was the tow truck drivers name and he gives great customer service and how quickly he hooked up and dropped off the car you could tell he was a pro. Paul made the ride to the dealership a great experience. I would use Team Towing again as long as Paul was the tow truck driver. read more

Danny is amazing and kind. I was waiting for the tow truck from my insurance in 25 degree snowstorm and was on the phone a second time with them when they said they have no orders for a tow. My Ford Focus started having a transmission issue and I called Courtesy Ford who said my tow would be covered by warranty, all I had to do was call and arrange a pick up time. Great, not a problem. The gentleman I spoke to this morning was incredibly nice and understanding that I was at work and would be leaving the keys with someone at home. After my car never showing up at Ford, I called the tow company and they said the driver had shown up and called and knocked with no answer so left. Except there was no missed call, so someone is either lazy, or lying. The woman I spoke with then VERY RUDELY told me that I could schedule another time if I really wanted to but that if there was no answer, the driver would not be back out. Except that this is a tow under Ford's warranty so I don't see how they have much choice. I now have to attempt to drive my mostly undrivable Ford 5 miles up hill to the dealership. read more

Danny came to the rescue, I called a roadside service for my vehicle. They had one company come out called loyal towing, the guy showed up asked if i needed a jump. I told him no need a tow 8 miles away. He said call an other company and refused to help and left me stranded. I called back roadside and they dispatched Team Towing as an alternative. Roadside told me it may be 45 minutes until Team Towing would arrive. To my surprise Danny was on location in 10 minutes from the call and got me hooked up and gave me a ride to the service center. Good experience. Our car broke down in N/NE Portland, so I googled towing in NE Portland and ultimately came up with Team Towing. $69 hook up + $5 per mile. We looked up an auto shop on the internet too, but Team Towing had a shop less than a mile away, so we just went with it. The driver showed up faster than he had estimated and was helpful with info regarding where the shop was and contact info. The shop was on Columbia in N Portland, and was pretty good too. read more

I'm giving them a rock-solid 1. My reason is simple: They wouldn't give my dog a ride, citing "company policy." Well, guys, your company policy sucks the big one. If you were a limo company, maybe I'd understand. But, you're a tow truck company. You're used to dealing with greasy, grimy crap all day long. Having a dog in the cabin shouldn't be too much to ask. Basically, the guy said "F you, walk." Well, that's not a direct quote, obviously, but it's effectively what he said. You know, when people break down, they're having a shit day by definition. A lot of these people will have a canine pal in the car. Y'all ought to rethink that policy -- esp. if you're going to ride around in trucks that say "Nothing Beats a Team Effort." I didn't feel like you were on my team there, and I didn't get the impression that you were willing to put out any effort to help a stranded guy -- which kinda-sorta is your business. But, hey , I guess the insurance company is who pays you, so F me, right? In fairness, if you don't own a dog and just need a tow, then yeah sure, call these animal-hating guys. Worst tow company ever...they do not even deserve one star. OnStar advised them we were at the restaurant in the same parking lot as our car & to call us 10 minutes prior to arrival. They came AND left without ever calling, but lied to OnStar saying they tried calling me twice. Technology proves them to be liars. OnStar called them and they refused to come back out. on the way to work this morning and my SUV decided it was too hot. getting to a safe place, called the insurance company for road service. They told me 45 minutes to an hour, and within 20 minutes of the order Team Towing showed up. I live 20 miles out of portland, and not many tow companies wanted to go that way. I am super impressed with the friendliness of the driver, Allan. His personality calmed me and he got my car loaded up and ready in no time. He did refer his company shop to me but when I said "no thanks" he didn't skip a beat in moving forward. He got me and my SUV safely to the repair shop. And even dropped me off on his way out of town so I wouldn't have to walk home. a+ for customer service. Car break downs are so stressful. This tow company exceeded my expectations. read more

A driver for this company (a) ran a stop sign, nearly running over two pedestrians and (b) parked so as to block the streetcar, which was one block away. When these issues were brought to his attention, he expressed his completed indifference to the well-being of any person who was not him. A driver nearly rearended a truck and with out looking switched lanes causeing cars to slam on there breaks avoiding hitting him.than cut through burgerking parking lot off grand,cutting off more cars. Team Towing has the towing contract for our insurance company. A few years ago, in the middle of a snow storm, my car's alternator quit. That left me with no lights, heat or emergency flashers on a 4 lane highway. Oh, also no sidewalks and not much in the way of lighting. A police car helped push the car to the side and someone else gave me a ride to work. The Towing company we paid a yearly fee said they'd be right out. When it stopped snowing my car was buried, still had no power and they wanted me to wait on the side of the road in the dark and cold until they got there because the snow emergency was over, so they only picked up cars whose drivers were present. I called our insurance agent and they gave us Team Towing phone. They stopped by our house and picked up the spare keys from my husband, dropped by the garage to find out where they wanted the car dropped and where to put the keys, came out and picked up the car without me being present. Then just last week my car would not start. We thought it was the battery and arranged to have Team Towing come to tow it to the garage. The driver (we think his name was Danny) correctly diagnosed the problem as the connectors, not the battery and explained how my husband could fix it. So rather than replace the battery, my husband got the car working again for less than $5 and some time. They are really a great company. read more

The driver was prompt, courteous and willing to accomodate a few requests, such as picking me up at my house and driving me out to the site where my car had broken down. Progressive Auto Insurance, Used this Agency/person IE: Team Towing to tow our Camaro car from our house to Leif's Collision & Repair after our Neighbor across the street smashed into rear quarter panel. "Normally Leif's tows our car." Progressive was very insistent on this arrangement. (Looking at reviews with this company I am feeling very uneasy.) First phone call I received from "Danny" he raised his voice to me (a woman) when I stated I did not understand that Team Towing was taking car to Tigard. Normally car would go to Glisan Office for Leif's. Then Leif's would assume rest of car care. This man "Danny" started talking Loudly and Fast at me, seems confused and unwilling to reason with me, as was I also being confused. I asked him not to yell at me. etc. When he arrived at my house he explains / states "Maybe it was the Blue tooth" that made it sound like he was yelling at me." Day two, I called Team Towing after I called Leif's to make sure my car did arrive at Tigard Office. And I tried to complain about not receiving ANY paperwork / card, etc. about Team Towing in possession of my vehicle. Danny said they don't do this normally. I stated every other agency does do this that I have worked with. Then I asked 'Why?' I then asked to speak to Danny's supervisor. Danny stated he was it - supervisor. So then I state I will be writing a letter. Danny's reply "Whatever works for Ya! We hang up phones. About 1 hour later Danny calls me back, Danny and I arrange for me to go to listed address of 233 NE Columbia Blvd PDX, OR 97211 about 2 pm to get said paperwork, to keep my files of people with possession of car. As at the moment he was not at office but out on a call. He will call me when he finds paperwork. We hung up. About 45 minutes later he calls me back pretty insistent on dropping the paperwork off at my house by end of today, second day. I stated I prefer to just go to the listed office. But still insists on bringing them by the house and asks if he can leave paperwork in mailbox? I state no that's illegal, but he can slide them in at the door. Besides my husband and I should be home around 5ish as that is our dinner time frame. However, I stated If I don't receive paperwork tonight I will be at said building address listed in phone book looking for paperwork first thing in morning. This is my experience so far. Then Leif's calls us. Stating they are going by the insurance and not going above or beyond anything etc. Which I thought was also weird. And getting pretty explicit regarding "LEGAL PAPERWORK". Day three, Last night about 545pm "Danny" arrived with the paperwork with numbers that are being billed out to insurance, seemed to be a very reasonable rate. read more

The TeamTow truck driver tried to talk me out of the garage I asked him to take our car to, stating that he believed that they would not offer the service required to fix it. He immediately recommended that I use one of "their garages" instead; was lightning fast to call up said garage...who gave a $200-$500 over the phone sight-unseen estimate, emphasized that they offered shuttle service, and busted out a card right away. The shops were nowhere near where we lived (he offered that they would even drop my car back off to me in that case). Though the insurance company would pay for my emergency tow, I find it unethical to gouge them in this manner. I gave the driver the brush off by calling my shop back again to triple-check that said electrical shop would indeed address my starter issue. [Yes, the ignition is part of a car's electrical system.] He seemed put-off that I insisted to stick with my original plan, and drove right off. I was put off by this scam, and believe that this opportunistic style of doing business is not acceptable...preying on people when their cars are broken down and they are likely worried, panicked and not thinking straight-to me- seems "scummy." read more

Heading to our family reunion/camping trip this weekend our van ended up breaking down in the middle of I-5 at rush hour. It was 97 degrees out and I had my child with me. My insurance/ roadside assist dispatched team towing. The two hour trip to our destination had turned into four and half hours of bumper to bumper, barely rolling traffic and now we were broke down on the side of two merging freeways in a very dangerous spot. I was frantic and worried and had lots of questions. I called the towing company they told me too, Team towing, and the guy was so rude and short with me. Told me he could not answer any of my questions at that time and that it was a bad day....seriously! He tells me that he will call me back and hangs up on me. Twenty minutes later he calls, mind you we are still on side of road with no where to go, no where to even begin to be able to walk to, in a not so nice area, me and my son, in the heat. When I answer he says okay lady what questions do you need me to answer... again seriously??? So he gives me an eta of 1 hour and half, but after changing destinations because of the miscommunication it would be another 3 hours before he could get to me. So I called family and worked it out for an unattended tow to a family members house near by...and thankfully got family to pick us up. The whole time I am dealing with team towing it is as if I am wasting their time, that their bad day was something I should just understand...and were rude and short with me. By 10 pm that evening I received calls from insurance saying they could not find my van? After freaking out and getting another tow company to see if they could locate it, my van was found right exactly where I left it, right where I said it would be. If team towing did not want to handle my situation they should have just said....what a waste of time, energy and not to mention my sanity. I would not recommend them to enemies....I realize everyone has off days at work, but when you are dealing with a very freaked out mother who is stranded with her child in a dangerous spot, I would expect them to not make the situation worse by saying they looked for a van when obviously they did not, and never even made contact with me after telling me they would handle it. They called the insurance to say they could not find it, never called me to ask if they were in the right spot or tell me they didn't find it.....I hope they and their families never have to be treated the way they treat others. read more

I had an interaction with a team towing driver this morning he was partially blocking a gate at my place of employment I walked up and asked him about how long you gonna be? I'm getting ready to pull out. He replied as long as it takes to load, I said ok so? He again replied as long as it takes and threw his arms out to his sides I did not say anything else I turned and walked away and shook my because that is not a professional answer and I heard him say you have an attitude, so I turned around and said I have an attitude I asked you a simple question and if you are gonna have an attitude with me I will toss it right back, because I was representing my employer I chose not to respond other than shaking my head, I left it at that then I decided to call the number on the door of the truck and wouldn't you know it he answered and said if you would've given me a minute to push the car back now your gate isn't blocked have a nice day and hung up, if I were to talk to my customers or the general public that way while representing my employer I wouldn't have a job, all it would've taken was a simple answer of a few minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes or what ever, I know what it's like to some times have to block a lane for a few minutes as I haul equipment and have to do the same thing, but to respond like that is very unprofessional and as of now I wouldn't call team towing if they were the only tow company in the area, learn some customer service skills!!!!! read more
