The only downside was that they didn't see the oil change sticker on the front of our glove box (we had oil changed Just over a month ago at a different business). The other business also screwed up on what they did and it was found when we took car in for repairs. We didn't know that they did an oil change until we got home and were looking at the final invoice. In any event, we will go to Automotive Experts for all future lube and oil changes and other needed repairs/service.

They even went above and beyond by sending pictures of a few things that they found that needed repairs. They really built trust with me quickly. A few years ago we had to move to Washington due being relocated due to work. I've had my SUV for 22 years, it's in good condition and runs well. On this model the vacuum hose can get knocked out of place easily which can cause air to blow on my feet constantly which drives me nuts. Usually I have had to take more time off work to go in and get this fixed because they did not listen to me when I explained about the hose during the initial drop off, but THEY listened and I got it back without any problems at all. They were also able to get me in the next week to fix those other items, one of which was a big repair. I never felt overcharged either as my services ended up being a little less than the estimate. I'm really happy that I found such a great place because even though my SUV is pretty old at this point, I really love it and want to keep it running as long as possible. I'm excited about getting all the new tech perks that come with a new vehicle, but this is my first vehicle that I bought for me, and I still love it and am not ready to let go just yet, and with this place, I know we're in good hands.

I'll try to be as objective as possible. This place came recommended by my current auto repair shop…read moreowner and since it was close by and I had a check engine light on, I took my car here this time. Pros: 1. They are a locally owned shop and everyone that works here seem like good, honest, friendly reliable folks. 2. They (specifically Brian) seem responsible enough to quickly reply and address concerns when I had an issue with my vehicle after I got my car back from them. 3. Very thorough in their initial analysis/ inspection/ diagnostic... I'm talking pictures, proof of all that they did with details and recommendations - which I find valuable since most auto shops tend to not disclose much or when they do they try to keep things cryptic. 4. If you are close by, they do give you a ride home or provide a rental car depending on how long they keep your vehicle. Cons: 1. I went in with a check/ service engine light on and it cost me around $200 to diagnose it. Also, they first quoted a price and then increased it by almost $100 when they billed me. However when I pointed this out, they did agree to reduce it back to the original quote. 2. I was informed that there was something critically wrong with the wheel bearing. And to get this replaced cost me a little over $850. I just went ahead with their recommendation. Overall I felt them to be significantly over the higher end of average cost of repair for just about everything. Total bill was a little over $1600. To be fair, I do have a rather old car but it has been maintained very well over the years. 3. The work done seemed good for the most part until that I noticed a metal on metal squeaking on a slightly long trip that I took the day after I got it back from the shop. It felt very unsafe driving my car. I was half expecting something to fall apart on the highway. For such high costs, the QA was not adequately done. That said, when I called them up they did accommodate me immediately and got it resolved quickly. 4. They do take a long time to work on the vehicle. I left my vehicle on a Friday and got it back the following Wednesday. Also, the communication was lacking. Did not hear back when they said they would get back and I had to keep checking in with them. Bottom line, I would recommend this place but go in with the expectation that it will be expensive. Maybe it was my bad experience that I had to take my car back since it wasn't road tested properly but I would not assume this happens to everyone. Cheers!

My spouse likes the owner and I have always thought that they charge way too much and they continually upsell services that aren't needed. Recently, for an oil change, I had to pay $850 for a caliper replacement along with an air filter placement. Totally unnecessary. I talked with the manager and asked them for pictures that he said they took before the service was done. He said yes, we took pictures and that he would send them to me. Well, my spouse did not see any of the pictures during her time there. And the manager never sent me the pictures. To me, it seems pictures were not taken. This is quite deceptive and I want to let people know that this is a very expensive automotive service center that I do not recommend. I believe they take advantage of individuals that don't know anything about cars. What alerted me after the last visit is that they told my spouse that it was pretty dangerous to drive without replacing the calipers. There was no uneven break pad wear. They said the calipers were leaking, but they never sent me the pictures to document this. They said they would but James did not follow through. Please beware. I would stay away from this business.

They charged me a 3% credit card fee because the warranty company paid by credit card. I can believe a King's Transmission thinks your suppose to pay for another company's credit card fee. I paid with my debit card. When I got my car back it was still doing the same thing. He then claimed this Friction Modifier that he sells to car dealers swear by it. He put it in my car and told me to drive it for a while. That still didn't work. I met someone else at another garage that drove my car and put his computer on it and said I needed a Transmission. I took it back to Karl who said then I needed a Transmission. Needless to say the warranty company subtracted the amount they paid on the torque converter from the salvaged transmission because they said he misdiagnosed my car. That left me paying over $1,200. After about 4 hours, I received a call with a quote of nearly $1,600 to replace all four rotors and brake pads. I later called another shop and got an estimate for the exact same work at $1,200, which confirmed that their quote was on the very high side. I declined the work and went to pick up my car. I was told they did a minor cleaning of the brakes to reduce the noise, and I was charged a little over $100. Unfortunately, the brakes squeaked exactly the same as when I brought it in. I didn't make a big deal about that since the underlying issue wasn't addressed -- but when I got home, I noticed my hubcaps hadn't even been removed. That really made me question whether any work was actually performed at all. Between the high pricing, the ineffective "fix," and the suspicion that my car may have just sat in the shop while I still paid over $100, I will not be returning here. I would recommend that others get a second opinion before agreeing to any repairs at this shop.

Following their instructions, I obtained two written estimates: $1,712.30 from a reputable body shop of my choosing $1,692.14 from the body shop Kent Auto Repair recommended Both estimates clearly document the hood damage and the cost to repair it. Despite admitting they caused the damage and directing me to obtain estimates -- including one from their own referral -- Kent Auto Repair later stated that both estimates were "too high" and refused to pay. They have not offered any alternative solution or provided any legitimate reason for rejecting the estimate from the shop they recommended. Because the business reversed its position and refused to take responsibility, I have had to involve my insurance company to assist with resolving the damage they caused.
