We've gone to them twice now and both times we've been very pleased. We took my husbands Silverado up and they gave us a comprehensive list of what needed to be done to it. We told them which options we'd prefer to have them have done at that time and they did and didn't try to push or update that if we didn't do more it'd be armageddon. Communication has always been clear and precise while being upfront about cost. After we took my Nissan in for a transmission flush and to replace a belt I bought but didn't get around to changing the called to let me know they found a small leak and it wasn't a big issue now but it could be if I didn't do anything about. They informed me versus told me and gave me the option on whether to have it taken care of. They provided a price breakdown with the new service. I didn't feel pressured to get it done. They are fairly priced compared to others in the area. We will continue to go back to them for car maintenance needs. Give them a ring and talk to them about your car stuff. read more

Glen quickly diagnosed what was wrong with our Honda Accord and worked with our schedule to get us in as soon as possible. They had the work done much faster than I expected, and the price was very reasonable. Also, I want to point out that they are one of the very few auto shops with Saturday and Sunday hours. Very disappointed after leaving my car at this shop with an obvious water pump failure as water was pooring out the bottom of the pump side of my car, I felt the repair was done well although became very Dissapionted when even though I left two phone numbers with them I never recieved a call the the job was done. When I called back the next morning to find out why I had a screaming belt on my drive back home I was told it was because it had been soaked in coolant...that they cleaned it...but it should be changed. After asking why they did'nt recomend that while they were in there? The responce was you came in for a diagnostic mam we cleaned it and did a pretty good job for you. OMG! Everything I have read on this type of repair says the belt must be replace with this type of repair. Guess they didn't read up on this. read more

I took my vehicle in due to an oil leak. The folks at Wilderness Auto Service determined it was due to a loose oil filter that had not been tightened properly from my oil change that I had done at another business. They corrected the issue at no charge -- I would have happily paid even for the peace of mind. These guys are great and I look forward to using them for my future vehicle service and maintenance needs. read more

Skip Les Schwab , buy your tires online and have these guys mount them. I just called them to install Upper Control Arms for my GMC Sierra 2500HD Diesel. Guys they do it all !! read more

Amazing team at Wilderness Auto! Erin and Glen really make you feel like family and go above and beyond to take care of you. We have been taking our cars there for years and I will never take them anywhere else. Two years ago, I was leaving for work and my tire pressure suddenly dropped and my car not having it. It was 6 AM, nothing was open, and I was in panic mode. I called my dad and he said "if you can, drive it up to Wilderness Auto" so I did. I took in the keys, talked with one of the women at the counter (who are always there to put a smile on your face and make you laugh) and they said one of the boys would work on it when they got in. My dad dropped me off at home and I waited. At 8:10 AM I got a call from Glen that my car was ready to go. He had gotten in a bit early that day and when he saw my car there, he started working on my car right away. That is just who they are and what they do on everyday. Took my 2002 Escape in (over 200k miles) when the check engine light came on. Diagnosed the problem and got to work on it. When that repair was done and they were test driving, another issue popped up and they were able to fix that as well. Courteous staff, prices seemed fair. Like the fact that they are open on weekends, which helps get your car out that much faster. read more

There are not enough positive words or phrases to explain how amazing Wilderness Auto is. Not only do they provide exceptional service, but they treat you like family and get to know you. I have taken all of my cars here, starting with my first car when I was 16 to my most current and I have never been disappointed. I had a Jetta at one point and this thing was NOTHING but trouble, but I loved this car. At a point where most mechanics would have said "get rid of it" or charged me an arm and a leg, the staff at Wilderness Auto said "we will do everything we can to save it - and do our best to make it reasonable". Wife's car had a flat tire, stopped by Les Schwab who was too busy to deal with a small job. Drove to WIlderness Chevron where the service guy was friendly and fixed the tire in less than 5 mins and I was on my way. I was really impressed with the fast friendly service. Took car in because the brakes were squeaking and pads were replaced. They thought the calipers were broke too so ordered new ones. When they went to replace old ones they found the new and old calipers worked the same so they recommend to keep the old ones. Today I had a scheduled apt for Just a Oil Change, where I brought my own Oil, and filter. I met my wife at the service shop so I could take her back to the office, and wait for the Shop to call us when the service was completed. 1.5 hours later I received a call stating that the car was ready. My wife and I went to go p/u our 2007 Acura MDX. First off I was put off when I received quote from the Shop for a cost of $19.95 if I brought my own oil, and filter, but when I received the bill it was $25.95+ tax, ok no big deal "I said to my self" I did have another apt, and had to leave my wife to p/u the car. I quickly got a call from my wife just as I was down the street to come back.... Now we did know of several lights on our dash (Check Engine, and DRL) light on, but when my wife got into the car There were more Nasty lights on the dash (SHAWD, and VSA) light. Those could really be a big deal, and were NOT ON when we dropped off the car. Both my wife and I told the technician, and Manager that those lights were NOT on when we brought the car in, AND Both the technician, and Manager said "Oh those lights were on when we pulled the car into the service bay" BS that was a BOLD FACE LIE, and it was only after I asked him to get his "Code Reader" did he find out that the Mass Air Sensor was disconnected!!!!!!! And the Hood was not properly closed, So WOW let my wife take the car down the road with a loose unlatched hood down the road. After the Manager found that the Air Sensor was disconnect to cause those other lights to come on he finally admitted that his shop must have disconnected it....Again He LIED from the very beginning saying that those lights were on when we brought the vehicle in. HE WAS WRONG!! Another question, Why remove Air Sensor for Just a Oil Change. Customer Service, and quite frankly the way they treat customers is extremely poor. (If you received a Bullet Hole in your body, you would not expect your doctor to fix it with a Band Aid) read more

This shop did some work for a local auto dealership (they are getting a review too!). Six months after the purchase of my 1998 Jeep Wrangler, the differential went out. I was under the understanding that they stood by their work. Instead, they ASSUMED I wanted any repair to done there, when I was understanding that if their work failed they would FIX IT!!! Instead, they order parts (they can't get refunded!) and want to charge me for the repair, since they regard the size of the tires (that the dealership wanted mounted!!) to be the reason for the failure! After they held my rig hostage for the shipping and parts (I didn't authorize!!) they finally released it (after the head mechanic, swore and screamed at me), I had my rig taken BACK to my shop who did the work and then validated that truly, it had been installed incorrectly!! Lesson, if they tell you they warranty their work, they Don't!!!! read more

Took my car to get my brakes replaced and an oil change at Wilderness Auto because a friend said they heard they were good. Made an appointment a week in advance, dropped off the car before 10am and they said it would be finished in 2-3 hours and they would call me. Four hours later still no call, so I went to the shop and they said the car wouldn't be done till after 6pm because they got a lot of cars in that also needed brake jobs. But why didn't they call me to get my approval on the work that needed to be done on my car and to tell me about the delay?? They even said they would call when my car was done, but they never did. They had my phone number. It took them 8 hours to finish working on my car that they first said would take 2-3 hours. When they gave me the estimate on the work that needed to be done on my car, they added that my serpentine belt needed replacing because it was cracking and it would cost $145. I declined the belt replacement, because I can change the belt in my car in 15 minutes and buy a belt for less than $30. $145 is pretty expensive for a belt and a job that takes 15 minutes. Today I was changing my belt, since they said it needed relacing, and there wasn't even one tiny crack in the old belt!!!! If I didn't know better, they would have taken my money and maybe just left my old belt in place. I'm looking for an auto service place with good mechanics, reasonably fast service, and most importantly some place that is trustworthy and honest. Sorry to say, but Wilderness Auto Service is not the place. read more
