I've been a customer here for years, but after this experience I will not be returning. During my recent manicure, the manicurist did not properly clean under my nails. I repeatedly asked her to remove the dirt, but she refused and told me to "do it yourself," handing me a manicure stick. I ended up sitting there cleaning my own nails for about five minutes, which was both uncomfortable and unacceptable for a paid service. When I brought this up to the owner, her response was dismissive. She said that "some people like to clean their own nails." I made it clear that I did not want to do that, but the manicurist had refused. Instead of addressing the issue, the owner told me to just pay $15 and that if I was unhappy, I didn't have to leave a tip. After being acustomer for so long, I was shocked by how poorly I was treated. This experience felt disrespectful and unprofessional from start to finish. I've always had a positive experience when coming here. The nail techs are skilled. The shop is quaint. They always have customers but I've never had to wait very long. They do take appointments but often I walk in. I always get a gel manicure and pedicure. It looks great and lasts for the standard 2 weeks. The do eyebrows too and are good at it. If you get a pedicure, they do a hot rock massage on the soles of your feet and if you get a manicure you get a little neck/shoulder massage. It's nothing like at an actual massage therapist, mind you. But it's just something done that shows they are trying to do a little something special. read more

Went there for first time on Thursday eve before store closes. The owner I believe her name is Sarah is very friendly, her girls were also very nice. However, my gel nail polish started chipping less than 24 hours. It's a weekday so it's not I like doing any chores, I literally got nails done, had dinner with my friend went to work. I was in desperate need to get my nails done and so happy I stumbled upon Teaneck Nails. My normal lady left my regular salon so I went to a different place to get my nails filled last week. It turned out horrible - too thick and sloppy. So I went to Teaneck Nails during my lunch break in hopes to get my nails straightened out. I walked in and there was only one person getting a pedicure so they were able to take me right away. Sarah is so friendly and pleasant it felt like I've known her for ages. She shaped up my nails and brought the thickness back to normal. I was glad she didn't insist on another fill in since I just filled it. Some places would try to squeeze more cash out of customers. Overall very happy with the results and would definitely be back as a regular. Prices are reasonable too. read more

Not pleased. Gave me the wrong color and totally rushed my service. I took the color just trying to be nice. Whole time felt terribly rushed however there was no one there after my mani/pedi... I did not like that they polished my hands at the same time as they did my feet. Well the color chipped and peeled the very next am... and I had to return. Well I made an appointment and they asked me to come back 2 hours later. Came back and they were rude didn't want me to tell them what happened I assume so no one would hear. I got a french pedicure the day before my college graduation. Very cute, mail, I was happy with it. Very warm, kind environment.

Employees are very friendly and accommodating but the manicure I received was just awful. Most certainly not worth $10. I don't know if they thin down their polish or not but I'm on day two and edges of nails have worn off or chipped. The other thing I noticed was about 40minutes after I smudged two nails opening a door.... Also no top coat. I would skip this place all together. I went here to change the color of my nails like a gel manicure and as soon as i went to pay the spanish lady who i didn't get the name of said it was $25 and the owner write away stood up and said she has to charge me like it was a fill in. I asked exactly why because i only changed the color no acrylic was used. The owner ignored my comment and told the spanish lady that took care of me "you dont listen to me". Very unprofessional. I got my nails done at this establishment. They were very nice and greeted me as soon as I walked in. However, the nail technician didn't file them as much as I would have liked. They were shorter then I was anticipating and thicker than I imagined. A little pricey considering the quality. But, overall great service and very wide color selection. When you walk in the doors they greet you right away. They don't have enough people working their at the same time because whenever I go their I always seem to be waiting at least twenty minutes. Their color selection is really great for regular manicures. For gel polish their aren't so many and it's hard to find one I like. (I like almost all polish colors). Depending on the person they sometimes don't put the polish on so well and you can still see my nail under neath the color. The nail ladies always seem to be rushing to get my nails done and don't give good hand massages when using the hand cream. I only come here if I am short on time because it's so close to my house. I have been going to Teaneck Nails on Cedar Lane for well over 5 years.. So when I was greeted by the new owner I felt very happy with her. At first she is so nice and sweet. But when I went in for my most recent gel manicure and pedicure she was very rude and unpleasant. I had a baby shower to go to out of town and wanted my nails looking nice.. The gel manicure I received was just awful. Most certainly not worth the $ she charged me. It was a dark red and every mistake she made showed and it looked horrible.. But I tried to be nice and not complain.. Not even a full week later my get chipped on the sides on most of my fingers.. I went in to show her and see if she could fix it.. She was so rude and literally embarrassed me in front of the other clients she had in the salon.. The first thing she says out loud was something like " Omg only this happens to you. No other customer does this happens.. Then she started speaking in her native language to her employee.. I had a pedicure done that day bc I figured why not? Ive been coming to her and then after my pedicure I could have the gel mani fixed but she kept going on and on with someone re my color gel.. She said she was busy that day and I would have to come back to have it fixed.. I paid for my mani and left.. I called her on Tuesday morning to see what was a good time to come in and she said come today @ 10:30 so I went in and again the first thing she says ONLY YOU does this happen to, I don't think you should come back and have gel done by my salon any more. Only come for your pedicures " I told her I will not be coming back for any of her services ever again.. So RUDE AND NASTY !! If she did quality work maybe I would not have the problem that I had..
