This is a TINY location that's somewhat difficult to find based on the map function of Yelp. It's hidden deep within the Arboretum (across from Amy's Ice Cream and facing the famous cow statues). As someone who frequents the area for studying and chilling, I was thrilled to find out that I can now easily get my boba fix whenever I visit. It is much smaller than other Teapioca locations but has two stories and is much quieter/doesn't blast music. The top floor looks quiet and seems to be a nice place to study or play board games, which they have in a shelf on the first floor. My brother and I have been here a handful of times. As a former employee of another Teapioca Lounge (the Parmer one), my brother confirmed that the flavors and boba are the same (i.e., consistent quality). My favorite drinks to order, especially during the hot TX summer weather, are the watermelon smoothie (tip: this is made with real, fresh watermelon because it's in season--yum), "Crazy drink" or "Boba madness" (basically winter melon syrup with every add-on available--my parents' favorite because it's mildly sweet and very refreshing), and ice cream coffee (as a coffee addict, this is a must--the dark and bitter Vietnamese coffee combined with vanilla ice cream is amazing)! I've always been a fan of Teapioca and this location doesn't disappoint. It's more upscale than the other locations and the price has stayed the same. Tucked into the corner of the Arboretum (a little past the Cheesecake Factory area), this location is pretty awesome. As always I got the green cream blastea with baby tap. You can't go wrong there. My only request is that they bring back the pastry fish cakes. Seemed so sad to just have boba without food. This is my new favorite teapioca spot. read more

Been checking out this place ever since they started building out this location. I love it since it caters to the arboretum area people. Upon first walking in you see a majestic staircase leading upstairs which looks like a pretty cool place to study. The manager who took my order was really funny and easy to talk to. It definitely is really nice inside and there's even an outside fireplace next door you can chill at. I got the passion fruit black tea with lychee and my friend got the gingseng ooolong tea. Definitely a great place to stop by and then take a walk around the arboretum area. They're still in their soft opening but are opening officially November 11! read more

Whenever we run errands in the northern side of Austin, we always make a stop here! They literally always get the drink order correct! Customer service here is great. Yay! Teapioca is now slightly closer for me, so was anticipating its opening ever since I saw the sign put up in the Arboretum. This location is definitely on the smaller side, with limited seating upstairs and a few stools downstairs, but on a nice day, there's plenty of outdoor seating on the patio outside, so that's not a huge problem. Drinks and boba are still solid as per its other locations. I think my favorites are still thai tea, green cream tea, cantaloupe cream tea and honeydew cream tea. Any of the above will leave you in boba bliss with the nice pearls that accompany it. Also for a large boba, the price is right compared to some other shops, which is a real issue as boba budget cuts might be in the near future for me. But not so as long as Teapioca is nearby. read more

We came to Teapioca to get some Milky Flurrys. It was 9:40, the place closes at 10. We usually go to Snow Monster and love the fluffy, shaved snow ice there. Anyway we ask to order at Teapioca and the employee there promptly proceeds to tell us they stop serving those at 9:30 because of the "machine". We quiz this employee on how they can claim to be open until 10 yet they don't serve the one product prominently featured on their menu after 9:30. He mumbles some stuff. I mention that Snow Monster serves you as long as you're in there before closing time. All we get is a meek sorry. Not only that, the prices at this place are higher than Snow Monster by 20% and every topping costs "half a dollar" (who says that instead of 50 cents!?) and they don't offer condensed milk to top off the shaved ice. I will never go to this place again. Maybe the owner doesn't realize his employees are shutting down half an hour early. Or maybe he does. Either way, it's bad management either way. When you're open until 10, you serve until 10 (unless something unexpected happens). Shutting down an ice shaving machine half an hour early as a policy, that's bad form! read more

First thing first: DO NOT follow Google map to find this place. It'll take you to Renaissance Hotel which isn't even near. You're better off looking for Amy's Ice cream then Teapioca is at the back across from it ( which isnt a really easy to find location) I've been here twice. First time I got the earl grey blastea which is my to-go at the other location too. It was alright. Today I came back and asked for the same thing, I noticed the same girl who worked last time was there. She asked me what is earl grey tea. What? There's literally a box of tea on the shelf behind her with the label Earl grey... I remember seeing it on the menu last time but not this time, not sure if they remove it but how can they not know earl grey tea... So I got a matcha green tea blastea. Teapioca is usually pretty good with sugar level so I never adjust it. My milk tea was plain, like they forgot the sugar. I never had this problem at the Parmer Ln location. Services are nice at both place but i feel like the staffs at this location dont really know much, like their training is not consistent so it's frustrating. Also, do not come here to study. There is 1 tiny table with 2 long ones and the width fit one laptop and no extra space downstairs, upstairs has a slightly bigger table with 2 sofas and that's it. Maybe cause most of the customers are shoppers so they just stop to buy it and leave. If you come in big groups, be prepare to stand. There is no restroom on site, but go out the door and there's a public restroom right next to it. From now on, i think i'll stick to the Parmer location to go study. Love the new location - the arboretum is one of my FAVORITE parts of Austin. There is a little bit of indoor seating (some bar style, additional upstairs) but the real prize is all of the tables and benches just outside. If you head down the stairs, you can even nab one of the stone cows in the courtyard. (I took prom pictures on the cows, 17 year old Misha would have LOVED if they had a boba shop that close by!!) The staff here is a little new/inexperienced, but the manager picks up the slack and helps everything run smoothly. The location is clean, the pearls are fresh and soft, and the tea is delicious. They have a few options they can make without sugar, lots of little jellies you can add to your tea, and MINI pearls as well as regular sized if your throat is feeling petite. I originally ordered a ginseng oolong tea (50% sugar) but the tea was so weak it tasted like I was drinking plain sugar water. I'm the type of person who gives up and throws the drink away, with the assumption that their other tea drinks must be weak too, but my bf insisted we ask to see if they would change our drink--and they did. Not sure how Teapioca Lounge has all 5 star reviews right now. Sorry to be harsh, but in my opinion their boba is very mediocre. I ordered their #001 Cream BlasTea ($3.10), which is basically their version of regular Milk Tea W/ Boba. Their milk tea tasted watered down and their boba balls were extremely mushy, meaning overcooked boba balls. Delicious boba balls should be chewy and soft in texture, not mushy! Cute place to hang out, customer service was good, and price is great for the portion you are getting. However, would not come back or recommend this place for boba. read more

I love this place so much! I always get their signature ice cream coffee and I love it! It's sweet but not too sweet that it overpowers the coffee. I love how modern this new location in the Arboretum is! The location on Parmer is a lot more outdated. It has 2 stories, but it is still pretty small on the inside. There are only a few tables available inside downstairs and a couple upstairs. However, it is in the heart of the Arboretum so there is plentiful outdoor seating with string lights right across from here. As for the drinks themselves, they are just as awesome as the selection at the Parmer location. I always go for the simple Cream Tea with pearls and it always makes me happy. They have the new points system that requires you to enter your cell phone number to keep track. The girls were nice enough to take my stamps that I had from the Parmer location and turn them into points :) Love this place, it is so clean and delicious! :) read more

This place is probably better than the Parmer location interior wise. Clean and cozy feel. The drinks and boba are still the best I've had in Austin in my opinion. Great place to come and study or read but not that many seat available if you're coming with a big group. If you don't want to stay inside, there a great lit up trail nearby. I found my new place to come and study. I guess it's not still well know yet because it was pretty empty when I came on a weeknight. I came to this boba shop pretty late at night with a lot of people. They had already run out of a lot of toppings which was understandable. I ended up getting the taro cream with the mini tapioca balls. The drink was okay, a bit too sweet for my liking though maybe that was due to my choice of drink. For a boba place, I would say to probably get their fruity drinks over the more tea like ones. Since we had a lot of people the service was a little slow. They have a lot of different drink choices and also shaved ice. But the thing that stands out about this place is their huge cup sizes. For the same price elsewhere, the cups here are so much bigger so it's definitely worth your money. Come here if you're looking for a huge boba drink or something fruity. read more
