So good! We've been to a lot of boba places here in Austin and across the country. It's been a long time since we found one that served drinks with actual fruit juice and not just overly sweet syrups. Teapioca was spot on with both the drinks we ordered. If you like watermelon, definitely try that watermelon smoothie because it tastes just like a fresh, cold melon. I've had a lot of boba in the past 15+ years, and Teapioca may have been the worst I've ever had. I had the oolong cream blastea with tapioca. The drink itself was extremely watery and bland; you can hardly taste the tea. I didn't adjust the sweetness level, but it was just barely sweet. Drinks usually become diluted or less flavorful when the ice in them melts, but my blastea tasted the same even with the melted ice lol. Tapioca balls was pretty standard. I did wait a rather long time for my drink, considering there were no orders before mine. The cashier didn't seem to know about the 15% off offer on yelp. It's a pity it didn't work out bc it's in a nice location and the staff was friendly. The most selections of bubble tea I have ever seen. However, I've never had better than the bubble tea in Cambridge...oh I miss it. But anyways, the staff here is nice and informative. The girl with curly red hair who works evening shifts is a cutie and she is secretly my friend because she doesnt know it. The decor is cute and I love the second floor, though they close it off a bit early. They have a cool tree stump stool to sit on or some comfy cushioned single person couch chair thingies. The lighting doesnt make for very good photo ops but if you've got your own lighting, the wall decor is cute. My friends and I debated about what the sign on the wall says and I'm right when I say it says, "TeaBar". You can also drink your tea outside on couches, chairs, tables, by the fireplace, by the cows, by the bench with a nice view. Service sucks! The place was empty and for two orders of boba tea it's took 10 min for them to start making the drinks. It was obvious they weren't paying attention or simply not doing their job. Weekend visit to Austin and I still crave tapioca, so decided on Teapioca Lounge since they have durian shaved ice. My bf parked near the Pottery Barn, but it was further down. Just find the ice cream shop and you're close. Teapioca actually is located in a nice area where there are a lot of tables and you can make a stroll down towards the cows and continue into Duck and Turtle Pond. The weather was nice and it's such a relaxing little find. The main reason(s) I like this place is because of customer service and their tapioca. My drink had a strong tea taste and I love that! I have a lot of pride in Houston and our food, but a lot of the times my drinks are too sweet and after it waters down, I'm left with just sugar water, no tea taste at all. Or if it's not too sweet, the tea isn't present enough. My drink here had a strong tea taste. I actually had to ask if they'll add a little more sugar, which the cashier kindly did so. My boyfriend ordered a coffee drink and his was strong too. The durian shaved ice was different and good, but that was definitely our sweet component. Not something I'd get on the regular. My only negative response is to the mochi I added to the shaved ice. It was dried out in a way and tasteless. The regular tapioca and egg pudding was good! I will be back! read more

I decided to give this place another try. My mistake. Once again the staff were perfectly friendly and helpful, however, the drinks are still dreadful. I ordered a Cream BlasTea, this business' equivalent of a milk tea. It was horribly bland to the point I dubbed it "just water with more calories." Cute little hidden location in the middle of the arboretum. There is a little park right behind it, the shop itself is clean and fun. Has a 2 story balcony with seating. They are pretty quick even when busy everything I've tried taste great! read more

This is my favorite tea place in Austin and I am really glad they came to this plaza. Their tea selection is as good as the other locations, and the sitting area is much better compared to their Parmer location. They share a comfy outdoor sitting area with Amy's and other store, and they have a nice penthouse in the store. I will come here very often, but I am hoping the line will not get too long since the Parmer location is so popular. read more

Might be setting higher standard for Teapioca coming from Bay Area where boba tea scene is very huge. I tried the Mango Tea and was very sweet and lacked any mango flavor. It was like drinking sugar tea. read more

Umm just left here.. it took forever for the coffee to be made everyone seemed to not know what to do. I ordered a hibiscus lemonade and a lady had the lemonade in one hand and the hibiscus in the other and stared at it as if she didn't know what to do with it and went to the back room... 10 minutes later I guess she learned how to pour... so if you want a regular coffee or tea be prepared to wait a while. read more

Great location to pick up a drink and walk around. About the same price as other bubble tea places but taste very average. They have shave ice with toppings that taste good but quite pricy. Last time I got a traditional shave ice, paid almost $7 for a small one. Overall, if you want good bubble tea, ShareTea or KungFu tea are better, if you want shave ice, CoCo's Cafe is better and cheaper, but if you are looking for a place to get a drink and walk around in a nice plaza, this is a good place. read more

Yum yum yum, options options options. This place has more customizations than any boba place I've been to prior--even to include the sweetness of your drink. I get boba *and* lychee in mine and that seems to confuse them for a bit that I would want both, but we always figure it out together and end the evening singing a round of kumbaya. It took them a few minutes to even put in our order after which they still input it incorrectly. Then it took them more than five minutes to make two hot teas. I've been to this location a handful of times and it's mediocre. I once came at about 10:30 pm on a Saturday and while the line to order wasn't long, it took forever for the drinks to come out (~15 min) and they were out of tapioca. You think that they'd always have tapioca in stock for a bubble tea place! The smoothies are pretty good and the tapioca pearls are ok, but their "cream blastea", which is their black milk tea equivalent is really bad. It tastes like chalky tap water. It's a little annoying that the top floor closes early when there's very little seating on the bottom. This place is a hidden gem. You will find it across the way from Amy's ice cream in the Arboretum. The service was exceptional, the portions were much larger than what I expected, and everything tasted great. If you want a place to have some very good Boba and Taiwanese snowy ice this is definitely the place to be. We have been going to Teapioca (different location) for boba ever since we moved to Austin and we love it. Tonight for the first time our drink tasted watered down, and flavorless. It just tasted like cold watered down milk with boba in it . The service was good as the ladies remade the drinks for us, but, they still tasted bleh. They need to re-train their staff, the store is very unorganized and the workers are not very quick on their feet. I had to deal with the manager in a one on one situation, he does not know how to provide customer service let alone running a store. It's not very hard to mess up a strawberry banana smoothie or a basic Thai tea but unfortunately the ones we got today were awful. There was hardly anybody in the store and we waited about 20 minutes until we got our drinks. The girls working even gave us an attitude when we asked to switch out a drink for something better. I waited about 15 minutes between the time I ordered and getting my tea. After they shook it, it took them 5 minutes just to pour the tea into the cup. When I finally got my drink, they put WAY too much syrup in it. I almost turned around to take it back and ask for my money back, but I didn't want wait any longer. I have been to the Parmer Ln store many times and loved it. I know that one is the first store in Austin and this one in Great Hills is the 6th and opened a couple of months ago. I'm very grateful for the new one since it's much closer to where I live. This is actually my 2nd visit to the Great Hills store. The first visit was on the opening day and everything was great with the free drink. But the 2nd visit was a nightmare. Went there on 2/4, a Sunday afternoon at around 3:40pm. Ordered two original milk team with pearls (bubble tea). After a few minutes of waiting, I was given two fruit tea. OK no problem they said sorry and will remake it. Another few minutes later I got two cups of milk team with no pearl(bubble). OK fine redo it again. This time I was given milk tea with tiny pearls!!! I didn't say anything on the 3rd time and just left. I just don't want to embarrass them again. I ended up paying more (I think she charged me with the fruit tea which costs more and I even paid tips upfront) for sth I literally threw away. I understand the business was doing great and expanding in a fast pace. But if the quality of service is this low I won't go back again. The young girl obviously needs training (if she ever had any) and I don't blame her. The owner of the store/chain needs to pay attention or else there are always other options out there. read more

I had recently given this place 5 stars but my experience today makes me not want to ever come back. I ordered an Earl Grey Cream Blastea, as usual, and the cashier didn't seem to understand what I meant. I said Earl Grey four times, but instead they gave me a regular cream blast tea. I went back to tell them that I had ordered an Earl Grey and they apologized and asked me to wait five minutes while they made a new one. Okay, up till now just an inconvenience but no big deal. The problem is that when I got my second tea, it had TWO EYELASHES plus something that looked like a tiny bit of plastic floating on the tea. I opened the lid to let the tea cool down a bit and found that. I was so grossed out!!! I was really tired of the whole thing so decided not to go back once again to complain a second time and make a scene. But I am really grossed out and disappointed. I had to throw away the tea that I had paid for and waited for twice.
