This was my first time visiting Tease and it will not be the last time. This salon is super cute and modern located in downtown Prosper. Plenty of parking spaces and a nice waiting area. The salon has very comfortable chairs for getting your hair cut or colored, for getting some heat in your hair and especially for washing your hair. Very modern and comfy chairs with even an ottoman for your feet. Past salons experiences were always on uncomfortable seating especially when they would wash my hair- it would mess up my back most of the time. Not here though- I really loved their style of seating- very comfortable for the clients. I loved how my girl Bianca colored my hair. I got some highlights and she did an excellent job. She also styled/blow dried my hair very fashionable. If you need a makeover or simply a routine job definitely go to Tease and if you can ask for Bianca. She is great! read more

I came to Tease Hair Design to get my hair done by my usual stylist, Leighanne... And as I was leaving the hair salon, I noticed they had these unique monogram bracelets which came in various colors, and had gold and silver letters... for one of my friends, I chose the silver letters with diamonds, but for myself and for my daughter, I chose the gold letters with diamonds.. They made such a nice gifts! And they came in these sheer, white, iridescent pouches.. which were fastened with a white ribbon -- such a nice little touch! Hopefully next time they will have that robin egg blue color like the Tiffany store but maybe like iridescent robin egg blue that would be awesome! Lol Oh, they also had these travel-sized hair products which were priced around $10 and under, and also made excellent gifts. One of them was shiny and purple and it was a leave-in hair conditioner, which I know my friends would love... I had a wonderful experience there.. and it was not just the products but the excellent customer service by Christine.. as took the time to put together the perfect gifts for my friends, including the monogram bracelets... I started feeling guilty because I took so much of her time, but she was always happy and eager to help.. which made the experience that much more wonderful... I'm happy to have found a great stylist so close to home! Lyndsey Beadle is wonderful~ not only is she a gifted colorist, but is also good at cutting my thick, coarse, curly hair. If your hair is similar, you will understand how difficult it can be to find a stylist who can cut and style curly hair. The salon itself is small but well laid out and very pretty--I've been here four times now and there are always big bouquets of fresh flowers, and the staff is friendly and attentive. I would not recommend this salon. It was really expensive, and I left with no change in my hair, and an unpleasant customer service experience. When I walked in, no one greeted me. I stood at the front for about 5 minutes before anyone said anything, and then when someone finally did ask me what I was here for it was not in a friendly customer service way. I was then told to sit and wait while I noticed stylists styling their own hair, talking back and forth about who I was scheduled with, right in front of me. My stylist was fine, but when I left the salon my hair did not look any different. I had wanted it cut into more layers with more defined curtain bangs and I still had split ends after I asked her to cut off a couple inches. For what I paid, I would not recommend it. read more

This was my 3rd time going too stylist Maddie. We created a plan for a platinum card. I was supposed too come in for a bleach out 2 weeks after a full head of splicing that was $260, and was told it would be a root touch up and cost around $100. Maddie had too reschedule my appointment, which I was perfectly fine with. I was expecting too probably have too push the root touch up out again, but Maddie decided the grow out was fine, and I trusted her. At the bowl I knew something was wrong because my hair was being toned for a 3rd time, I have never sat at the bowl longer then my hair was being bleached or colored. There was no communication on if there had been a mess up, what she was doing, or asking me if I was okay with what she was doing. I went in a white blonde, so too my surprise I walked out ginger/ strawberry blonde. I was told it was just "ashy" and would fade. Warm/Red and ashy are very different things. Anyone who has spent the time and money becoming that light knows there should of been communication. The salon doesn't care about the situation, Not responding and Maddie communicating it is my fault and she did nothing wrong. I dont care about a refund or having the person who messed up my hair fix it especially after having such a bad attitude. Just beware if you're platinum this salon is definitely not for you. I Hope the salon can learn from this and train there stylist too communicate, and speak up if they aren't able too perform a service instead of ruining hair, and costing someone $500 in 6 weeks for a mess up that could of been avoided. Especially since there was a plan in place. read more

We're new to the state and I saw great reviews for this salon so I tried it. Super nice owner, Darren. There were issues with the color on my mom's hair and he made it right quickly. My hair wasn't colored correctly and the stylist over textured my bangs when cutting and it's almost 3 months later and they're still too short. My stylist was too chummy with me then insulted me although she didn't realize it because it was obvious she didn't know any better. Won't be back, but I wish Darren well. He needs to hire better stylists. read more

Unfortunate experience at TEASE Salon; hopefully an isolated incident, but be cautious, if you do in fact have a problem with one of the stylists, I learned the hard way, that the owner, Darren, will not make it right. I have been hopeful and patient, working with both the stylist and the owner for 6 weeks. Very disappointed and hope no one else has to experience this. *April 6th- after having Brazilian blowouts for two years, I asked the TEASE stylist (Lyndsey Beadle) to schedule one; she talked me out of it, saying it has formaldehyde, and she doesn't like to breathe it. She reassured me the Keratin treatment accomplished the same goal and would last the same 4-to-6 months. The treatment didn't take at all, but I thought it was simply the Keratin versus the Brazilian, and resigned the fact I should've stuck with what I loved. It was a $250 lesson. *May 2nd- I went in for a bang trim, and the stylist was surprised to see the condition of my hair; she told me the treatment didn't work and even stated she could not feel the product in my hair. I was relieved that I didn't waste my money; she said she would talk to her product rep Tuesday, May 7th and get back to me. *May 8th-I initiated conversation after not hearing back; she said not to worry; she will do the Brazilian on me and make it right. *This began a string of reasons why she couldn't schedule me, which lasted through May 23rd when she became unprofessional (all documented in text messages) and then changed her response saying I, ". . .didn't even tell her until almost 4 weeks later, and it was past her 2-week guarantee." Since she had become unprofessional, I told her I'd like to talk with her owner about it, to which she said, "You can talk to Darren if you want, but I'm not his employee." Wow! Ends up. . she was correct. *May 31st- after a few days of phone tag, Darren and I visited; he stated he himself has had difficulty with this stylist being confrontational (hard for me to believe that is tolerated); he would reach out to her and get back with me within a couple days. *June 7th- left him a message with Lauren at the salon after he had not called me *June 15th-left another message with Lauren *June 19th, reached out via FB messenger, and I included the screenshots of my conversation with the stylist. To my surprise, he said he had seen the conversation. If you knew what was in this text thread, I think you'd be surprised at his lack of response. Darren, too, backtracked, not addressing that he didn't reach out to me as promised and also did not return three of my phone calls, yet he instantly responded via FB messenger. He said there is nothing he can do except hope the stylist does the ethical thing and actually asked me to reach back out to her. I knew I was at a dead end when he said he ". . .hated that it could potentially harm the salon's reputation-not fair to our other stylists." Wow! Not fair to them? I spent over $1,000 in the 18 weeks I was seeing his stylist, received a bad service, remained patient and trusted him to work it out for several weeks. That doesn't seem very fair to his paying client. I share all this because, true, I can't force TEASE Salon or the stylist to do the right thing, but I can hold them accountable and caution others. Too bad- this stylist is truly talented, and I loved that this salon had come to Prosper. read more

I am so unhappy. Darren was recommended to me by someone I met at ULTA when I admired their haircut and asked who her stylist was. Unfortunately, Darren said he wasn't taking new clients but recommended I schedule with Christina. I explained to both that my hand was broken so I needed a wash and go precision cut to get me through the next few months of being unable to use any styling tools. I'm always explicit when I go to a new stylist explaining how my hair handles and what cuts/styles work for me. I asked her to please keep the length below my shoulders so it wouldn't "flip" and that I needed invisible light long layers to give my fine hair some body and shape. I showed her where my cowlicks are and asked that she not do deep texturizing on ends. I thought she was listening, but obviously she thought she had a better plan than mine on how to cut my hair. Not only is my haircut above my shoulders, (and it flips) it's shorter in the back than the sides and visibly longer on one side than the other, blunt cut along the bottom without ANY layering. I have no movement or body regardless of the products i use to shampoo and condition. She used a blow dryer and big round brush (although I reminded her I would not be able to do either of those things on my own until my hand heals) after cutting so it didn't look horrible when I left the salon, but I did tell her I was not happy losing over 4 inches of length and anticipated a flip as soon as I washed it myself. She said it would take a few weeks for my hair to "behave". LOL...it's going to be Christmas before the length is below my shoulders. If I had two hands to work with, I could make it look half way presentable...instead I dread going anywhere because my hair looks awful. I won't return, obviously, as now I've encountered one more hair stylist who does not listen to their client. read more

After the appointment she could tell I was disappointed and I told her it was not as blonde as I wanted. Her response was oh we should have done a highlight. I've been to this salon a few times. I had to cancel my appointment due to work travel and the stylist I normally go to did not have any availability for 2 weeks and I needed to get my hair done before my vacation. I called the salon and the salon owner was the person who answered. I spoke to the owner who wasn't all that pleasant to speak with but said he would get back to me and let me know if there was any availability. He never called me back. I called again to follow up but received a voice message. I left a message to say I was following up on my previous discussion with the owner. Never received a call back. This was not a great customer experience. read more

She is listens to what I want and provides great advise for treating my sensitive scalp. The price is also very comparable to what I was paying before I moved here.
