I love this spot! I came here after going to the UPS store and was craving some boba. I ordered the tiramisu milk tea (one of my favorites from a different spot but it's only seasonal at that shop), when I saw this was an item that stays on the menu - I knew this was going to be a place I stop by frequently haha. The service is a little ehh, they have a huge divider so if someone is in the back? Good luck getting their attention. I would recommend they get a bell maybe or something to let them know a customer walked into the store. 2.5 stars. Craving boba all week, Mom and I made a quick stop at Teatime on the afternoon of Saturday, August 26, 2023. Located in Redwood City's Sequoia Station, there is plenty of parking for patrons in the lot. As we walked up to the tea spot, I thought that there was a long line out their door. Upon arrival, though, we realized that the people loitering around the shop were the customers awaiting their drink orders. The venue is TINY. Maximum capacity for the room wherein you place your order can't be more than half a dozen persons (this explains why everyone was standing around outside). This place is solely for to-go orders as there is no seating available for eating and drinking. Printed 8" x 11" sheets of paper are taped to the wall to serve as the menu and jars along the clear window showcase most of the drink toppings (grass jelly was not shown anywhere). Mom ordered a Taro Milk Tea with boba which, to our surprise, was made from a powder and was completely dairy free. I ordered a Jasmine Milk Tea topped with boba and grass jelly. When I asked if they had oat milk, the dairy free milk was recommended for a better, more full-bodied drink, so I happily went with the suggestion. Our drinks were made very quickly. At first sip, we both noticed that the beverages were on the sweet side...which is when I realized that we weren't asked about preferred sweetness nor ice levels. After a few sips, I got used to the sweetness level, but did wish for a stronger Jasmine floral taste. The boba were perfectly chewy, though, so my craving was satisfied. Will we return? Sure, if we are already at the Sequoia Station and craving boba again. I wouldn't drive out specifically to go here, though. read more

A pretty good place to get a refreshing Watermelon Fruit Freeze! I got mine with boba AND rainbow jelly. I always order something similar at every boba-type place so that I can compare them. Then I venture out to the bubble tea varieties, etc. This is a small walk-up window-type place, but I will come back again. Tea Time is nestled in the corner of the Sequoia Station Shopping Center. It is kind of weird that it does not come up on Yelp as the first choice even when I am literally in front of it. I always seem to get the Palo Alto location. The drinks can at times take longer than expected for a drink so it does miss a star for that. Employees don't seem very happy to be there nor do they display any smiling for the customers. read more

Stopped by Teatime the other day while picking something up at the nearby Safeway located in the same plaza. Found this place on Yelp, and discovered that it's rather hidden all the way at the corner of the shopping complex, on the side opposite of Safeway. The store itself is very small, so you basically wait in line outside while 1 person goes in, orders, and steps back out to wait for their order. The staff was very friendly, and I opted for my usual Passion Fruit w/ Green Tea and boba. The drink itself definitely did not disappoint, and was very refreshing and full of flavor. The boba balls themselves were nice and chewy, and not all clumped together like at some other places. Although I don't live near RWC, if I'm ever back in the area, I will definitely make sure to make a stop at Teatime! read more

It's a super tiny storefront (can fit one party at a time at most), and their menu is smaller than most other shops I've been to. My all time favorite is the horchata snow but I don't like anything too sweet so I get 25% sweetness with aloe and boba they have like 12 different options of jelly's. Service is great but this place tends to get busy and typically only two staff are working at once so if you see line expect to wait a few minutes. Also it's a very small place there's no seating it's just a walk through to go atmosphere. I went today and ordered the horchata snow and the strawberry freeze both equally great and I had my drinks within 5 min of ordering. I called and ordered a peach fruit freeze which has now climbed to $6.95. Arrived within 2 minutes to find the woman away from register preparing a smoothie matching the description of what I had ordered. After she made another another money payment transaction I presented for my order and without bothering to change her gloves she quickly presented the smoothie I saw her make. I requested that she make a new one much to her dismay. She mumbled something about "why do you come here." I than told her that it is very unsanitary for her to handle multiple money & card transactions then touch and prepare beverages with the same gloves all day without changing them. Went on whim since I was in the area and was craving boba. I ordered the strawberry milk with boba. The lady that took my order barely spoke a word to me and didn't even bother to ask my sweetness or ice level. I paid for my drink using Apple Pay and I hadn't notice the tip screen came on, a few seconds later I noticed and as I leaned in to put in my tip amount, she quickly grabbed the monitor and I wasn't able to put an amount in. I thought to myself maybe she didn't care for the tip and I didn't worry about it. I see in the back she quickly prepared my drink and handed it to me. I leave, get to my destination as I was a bit in a hurry and don't try it until then and I take a sip and it was so gross!! It tasted like flavored tap water with a very strong tap water taste. Literally did not even taste like strawberries. I was so disappointed I had paid for something that tasted like flavored toilet water, which the boba didn't even make it taste any better and to top it off I checked my transactions and she had tipped herself! My daughter likes this place a lot. It's similar to chatime in Canada (probably is) and since there is no longer chatime here in the states, this is the next best thing until we go back home to Canada. We ordered mango qq, peach qq, mango coconut drink and a strawberry crepe. All quite good. Five stars for the Drinks and boba. Boba was really good texture and drinks had fresh fruit and not too sweet. I was slightly disappointed tho hear that the grape fruit tea was discontinued and they will no longer be coming back (it was the main reason why I decided to go to tea time that day, but I am happy I got to try other drinks) Gentlemen behind the counter was nice and helpful, he helped he choose my drinks! made them in good timing, I didn't wait long! (Although he seemed like he wasn't having too much fun working his mood did light up when I received my drink thanked him and said "have a nice day", just remember always thank people. You never know when you might change someone's day!) I think they may have changed owners recently, I'm a first timer so I wouldn't know.
