Love love TeaTonic!! Very welcoming and cozy atmosphere. Love the decor. Refreshing drinks that come in varieties plus any toppings you like. Enjoy the mozza dogs with sugar The jasmine drink is very soothing. Perfect spot for studying and/or hang out with friends or family. The service is great. They work well in the kitchen and fast. Would highly recommend it!

Thai tea with the instant tea settled at the bottom. WHY??

Need help understanding why it's ok for a Tea place to use instant tea mix. Ordered a Thai Tea, terrible. To start with they used instant tea which just kept settling at the bottom of the cup no matter how much I stirred. The to top off the terrible-ness they put waaaaay to much 'milk' which I'm convinced was straight creamer... just not good at all, had to toss it after 3 sips. Absolutely terrible. Service was ok, nothing to note there. Maybe the other drinks are better idk.

Super cute boba/tea shop with yummy snacks! What drew me here was the frenchie logo and paintings! Then I saw the little wall arcade machines and I died! We were exhausted so we both tried the Vietnamese coffee with half sugar. I regret not ordering another shot as it tasted good but it didn't give me the surge of energy I was hoping for. Still, I recommend it for any coffee lovers. My gf ordered the matcha ice cream with the pandan bubble waffle. I personally don't love ice cream so I can't really judge it but the waffle was definitely amazing! It was extremely flavorful, light and crispy. I really wish we lived closer as I would visit more. Definitely will stop by if I'm ever in the area.

This is a great place! Very good service. The lady at the counter was so nice and helpful. I'm drinking the tea tonic and my friend got the mangonada. Also, she told us we could do 30% of the sugar we would normally get so you're able to ask for that. They also have a pac man machine :)

I love the variety of drinks offered -- classic milk tea, fruity drinks, and coffee, plus the more exotic fruits! Also, rare, is an array of food you can order if you're feeling hungry. The employees are nice, and the drinks come out quickly. I order a pandan bubble waffle, which was really freaking good. Just the right amount of pandan flavor, and the dual glutenous-crispy textures were perfect! I'd definitely recommend this with your boba! I did knock off a star because the boba was very disappointing, they didn't quite taste very fresh. My guess is they don't prepare new batches of boba too often (we ordered it roughly around 5pm on a Saturday). Def get a bubble waffle! and check with them on the freshness of the boba.

Just WOW!!! The Ube Brulée boba tea blew my mind...and my taste buds. After taking my first sip I immediately wanted to chug the whole thing! It's delicious!! Nothing to rave about regarding the service based on my visit. My drink came out quickly. The ambiance is cute!

I cant say much about the opening staff, but the closing staff is an embarrassment to the establishment on its own. My mom and I went to this one specifically, AN HOUR before closing, and weren't even greeted the best way, made it seem like we were interrupting their conversation during their work time, but it must have been a busy day so we didn't even mind it. We get a rude cough of acknowledgment and place our orders. We ordered our drinks with boba and didn't add anything else, once we received our drinks before we could leave we notice there were no boba on either drinks, its no problem since we haven't left the establishment yet. We go back in to fix this small mistake and the girl behind the counter with attitude goes "well when he asked you if you wanted anything else you said no..." no ma'am, i said no to anything else added to my order, i said i wanted boba with both drinks, "oh let me see the receipt" she did not give us a receipt but my mother is enough to witness me asking for boba because its what we came for. She does not even let me see my OWN receipt and crumbles it and charges me for the boba, thats fine its just a few scents for them to add boba to my drinks. This unprofessional trainee, all she did was hand me a cup, a small cup, of boba and said "here you go" and thats it. It doesn't take much to take the easy removing top off my drinks and the boba nor is it a hassle to repress a new top to other drink that was only covered in a wrapper, i can see the machine that covers those specific drinks from where i was standing. Her attitude towards the simple no brainer task only left a sour impression on this place, along with the other two who looked like it was too hard for them to make 10 min drinks for two people. Do better, hire people with at least the bare minimum of social skills.

Teatonic is a nice little family owned boba shop in north Houston. I tried the taro milk tea, and my friends tried the taro creme brûlée, strawberry green tea, jasmine green tea, and black milk tea. Everyone said their drinks were good, and they had a lot of fresh fruit in their display case to use for the drinks. I also got the pandan waffle which was fresh and delicious - crispy on the outside and nice and soft/chewy on the inside. At the time of this review, Yelp had a coupon for free waffle with $10 purchase (scroll up above the reviews!). The interior of the shop is decorated cutely, and it's in a large plaza so there's plenty of easy parking. The music isn't too loud here, so it'd be a good place to study or relax. Service was fine; you can tell it's family owned and they care about their customers.

North Houston welcomes a new milk tea shop with a variety of drink choices. I love that there are several kinds of Ube/taro drinks, from the creamy ube brûlée, to a classic ube milk tea, and finally the taro horchata. I ordered the latter, and can happily report it was satisfying. Definitely order 50% sweet or less. The lychee rose was a sparkling drink, that tasted more like a soda, but with fancy rose petals added. I wish it included bits of fruit, like strawberries. The house special milk tea was pretty mild in tea flavor, but. 50% sweetness and light ice was just right. Every drink is around $5.50 to $5.90 without any toppings. For any topping added it's 75 cents extra. The pandan bubble waffle was a perfect snack to pair with the drinks!

Love the aesthetic in here. The store has cute arcade games you can play with your friends if you need a place to hangout. I got the taro milk tea during my last visit and it was delicious. I'd ask whoever is at the front for some drink suggestions. Everyone's really friendly and it's overall a very welcoming environment. Try to beat my high score on PacMan if you can ;) read more

I found this place on accident and can't wait to come back. It's feels like a regular tea shop, but they have some crazy combinations on the menu. The taro horchata was amazing and a great size for the price. I like my drinks plain, so I can't speak on any toppings. But the staff was friendly and service was quick. They have a couple arcade and board games too, definitely a nice hangout spot. read more

A solid boba spot with a good selection of drinks. I got the avocado smoothie and the worker, who I also assume is the owner, asked me how sweet I wanted it. I told her regular and before she sealed it in the cup she let me try it to make sure it's sweet enough. I thought it was perfect the way it was. It was a tad icey compared to other boba places, but still good. Boba had a really good chew and softness to it. read more

A TeaTonic experience is one you'll crave over and over again. Their variety of drinks offered can send your palette soaring! We chanced upon it while in the area and now can't get enough of their great flavors! Coupled with a friendly staff, you'll be wanting to come back over and over again for more! I heard about this place but was kind of leery about going but it turns out to be a really good place. It's clean and food if really good.The egg rolls are made to order and they are my favorite. The crust is light and crunchy. The sweet chili sauce is really good. I had their banana strawberry smoothie and really like that. Everything I've had there is good even the wings. read more

I've been back a few times, and always greeted nicely by the staff! I'm a tea person and like my drinks on the sweet side. Tried the dragonfruit kingdom 7.5/10, honeydew milk tea 9/10, ube creme brulee 9.5/10, matcha crème brulee 8/10, and the hibiscus tea 7/10; they're all so good and every time I go in I always try a new drink :) Most definitely check this place out and I'm so so glad they're close by!! read more

Stopped by before hitting the road home and had to say that it was a nice visit. There were many variety of drinks and i asked everyone in our party, no one complained the flavor was off or anything. Yes!! They have sweet level options for their drinks, which i love because not many places offer it, and they listened to your request! Not like those that let you pick 30% and then did 100% because your drinks were in their "good hands". They gave us a free waffle for checking in on Yelp, so keep checking in, y'all!!! I'm a picky person, if you wanna be nice and call me that. I was icky on the free waffle because I don't eat sweets, but it wasn't. The taro waffle hit just right on the sweetness, and soft and moist, and crispy on the edge! It was like a cherry on top for me. The pop chicken looked dry but once we put one in our mouth, we couldn't stop. They were not dry at all, and very flavorful. The portion was good for the money!! The place is set up with a few arcade games for the kids so we were able to stay for a bit to enjoy the food instead of having to rush out. Totally recommended if you're not a hard cold difficult middle age like me. read more

I've been reading reviews about the attitude of some workers and I completely agree. I think there does need to be some retraining. No smiles, no suggestions, no "hi welcome in". Just stares. I will say, the pitaya bowl was so good, so I wish I could've left a 5 start review for that, but service is a big part. Honestly, made me not want to come back here. Also, we were the only people in the store, with two workers there. They didn't start our bowls for a good minute. The worker bagged our food and then proceeded to ask if we wanted it to go or for here. Like obviously you want us to have it to go, but cool. Drove 20 minutes just to come here, because I know it's good. But I would much rather go somewhere closer that's not as good BUT has excellent service.

Today's choices are: -"my joy" smoothie: apple, mango, pineapple and spinach - $9.50, 16oz - "acai blast" super food smoothie: acai, blueberry, banana, apple juice, coconut water and mango - $10.25, 16oz Both were delicious, smooth and dense in flavor. Really no after taste, no weirdly wiggly taste. Simple and as expected ! Super ample sitting space. Lots of large tables, a high table of 8, a few bar spots by the window. Good space for groups, dates or solo visit, everyone really! They do have free wifi to work/study and those tables fit the purpose. Now, it might get a bit more noisy from the mixer machines but today, on Saturday afternoon it was rather okay. Chill background music. I'm incredibly disappointed by the service at this boba shop. This review is not about the food or drinks, but about the family that runs it. During a weekend trip to Houston, we left a wallet in the shop. We called and verified it was ours, but they were reluctant to send it back. After much negotiation and offering to cover all expenses, they finally agreed. However, a week later, they still hadn't sent it and gave excuses like they were too busy and none of their employees had cars. We had to hire an expensive TaskRabbit to retrieve our wallet because the shop refused to mail it. I'm very disappointed in the integrity and ethical responsibility of the people running this boba shop. read more

first of all, the service is horrible. I went there to get a drink and it had hairs in it and they refused to refund my drink just because it had hairs in it. Horrendous food sanitation. AND i also overheard what i assumed to be the manager, tell another worker to just pick up a corndog and still serve it to another customer after they had dropped it.
