I'm generally not the biggest fan of Ding Tea but it's a great addon in the Brea area since almost every boba spot in the area isn't good at all. Got their Signature Milk Tea w/ Golden Boba. The milk tea tasted very watered down and the boba had very little flavor. I've had other DT milk teas and they were up to standard, but not this one. This location definitely has room to improve and I know they'll do well once they get everyone up to date on training and drink making. This is a high traffic area and the interior is questionably miniscule. Maybe I'll give them another shot within the next few months to a year. read more

Boba in North OC! Stopped by at the newest Ding location in Brea (right next to Protein Lab which is another spot worth checking out!). I came right before closing, which is 9pm, about an hour earlier than other locations, but still got great service. My drinks were made quickly, and correctly, and I was out the door within 5 minutes. No complaints here. Also, their mural of North OC / OC sights is amazing, and something that I really enjoyed looking at while I was waiting for my drinks. Note: They do not have snacks here. I was told that there were too many hoops to jump through from the county/city to get it going. Honestly, I'd give Ding Tea the 4 star for good reliable (but honestly not spectacular enough to warrant a line or drive). But being the closest boba shop, it gets that extra star. Pretty much, if you're in the area, it doesn't get better than Ding Tea. Super convenient, easy to order menu, and the shopping plaza has ample parking. At time of review, the shop closes earlier than the stated 9 Pm, so I'm assuming it's a soft opening. I'd say it's consistent to other Ding Tea (I have tried fullerton & Yorba Linda). Ordered from here 4 times. Always ordered Large drinks and get the regular sized ones. This time I ordered Coffee Slush, Jasmine Milk Tea, and Passion Fruit Milk Tea. Last time it was two Jasmine Milk Tea and a Passion Fruit Milk Tea. Previous time was Jasmine Milk Tea and Yellow Dragonfruit Milk Tea. Prior to that it was Jasmine Milk Tea and Jasmine Green Tea. I really wanted to like this place. I've gone to other Ding Tea locations and have always been more than satisfy with my drinks. I was so excited that that they finally opened up a location close to home. I finally got around to giving it a try today and boy was I disappointed. I ordered the LARGE Monster Latte with LIGHT ice. What I end up getting was this dinky cup they called a large half filled with ice for 6 bucks. I don't know if this was a funny practical joke (no one stopped me afterward to sign a release form ...LoL), honest mistake or inflation at its worst? It was only 14oz (Yes I mesured it when I got home). I showed it to my 11yr old son and he said "This is a LARGE? What's a small look like?" LoL. Ding Tea is probably my favorite chain-based boba places. And I loved the drinks I got from this store in particular, until a couple nights ago when I had a terrible experience. One of the employees was coughing everywhere into the air -- no mask, and it wasn't just a something-caught-in-the-throat kind of cough. He sounded very nasally, so he clearly had some kind of virus that's been going around this season. Who knows if it's COVID or the flu or the RSV or what? But he was at the counter taking orders and coughing. Then he was in the kitchen area chatting up with his coworkers as they were making drinks, and he was coughing everywhere in the kitchen area as well. So his droplets were probably getting into people's drinks, onto the counters, onto his hands, which he was using to hand out drinks and straws to customers. I sorely regretted ordering a drink that night. I ended up throwing away my drink. There goes my $6-7. I'm currently immunocompromised, so I couldn't risk anything. I should probably give only one star, but the extra star is for the good drinks that I've had before at this store. This is the food/drink service industry. Whatever you serve up are going directly into people's mouths. Please stay home if you're sick. I'll be avoiding this store for at least a month or two until whatever virus he has makes its round. I actually like Ding Tea as a brand and been to other locations. I was excited to find out they opened this one close to my home. I've been to this location several times and got to meet the franchise owners. When they were still working behind the counter the tea and service was good. Now, the tea is tasting better but unfortunately the service is getting worse each time i stop by. From too much ice to the tea spilling in my car because the cup was not sealed properly. Now, they're I'm waiting 10 to 20 minutes for tea when it's not that busy and I can clearly see them serve people who came way after me. Why was I served last today? Im not sure but it from the look on the workers it seems like they forgot I was there and that I ordered something. Management, I know you read reviews and I'm not the only one complaining about what I am saying above. Please do something about this because I sincerely do want to go back. I was near Ding Tea & decided to give them a try. I was with my mom & tried the new flavor : green thai tea latte & she tried the passion fruit slushy. The green Thai latte flavor was not very good & I let the server know. He explained that there was nothing he can do, that he did his job by making the drink & he cannot replace my drink because I did not like the flavor. I pointed after the sign that shows this was new flavor & I requested if he can replace my drink. He told me that sign has been there for a year & it was not a new flavor. I told this is the first time at Ding Tea & it was a new flavor to me. He repeated there was nothing he can do, he refuses to replace my drink. I ended trashing the drink. Horrible customer service! Do not come Here. There are way too many other boba places around the area with much better customer service! I have never experienced such bad customer service. Finally another boba drink place in Brea, aside from Lollicup at the mall which is way more expensive. I ordered the taro latte with boba and despite their staff still in training, my drink came out relatively fast. The boba is nice and chewy and the taro flavor is mild but very good. I also received their matcha latte and it was too sweet but just order it with less sugar and I'm sure they can accomodate. The place is clean and the staff friendly. Hooray for another boba shop in North OC! They're still in their soft opening phase, so expect some delays and kinks. There was some erroneous promotion going around that ended up disappointing a lot of people, but I don't think that was the franchisee's fault by any means. It seems like they're having some issues perfecting the drinks and getting the taste just right, as I ordered several and only one really tasted good, whereas the others were either too watery or too sweet. This Ding Tea is the closest one to me. I tend to frequent this location when craving Ding Tea. I almost always order the lychee Yakult. It's sweet and refreshing! I love the mural inside. The store is on the smaller side, but it has ample seating. Although Evan no longer works there, he's super nice and recommended the kumquat lemon ice tea to me which I really enjoyed.
