My husband's phone just one day died with no visible reasons and I tried to find someone to fix it. Some places including Best Buy gave up to $400 quotes to 'try' to fix the phone with no guarantee that the phone will be fixed. Since it was weekend it was hard to find places that were open and then I came across this business via Yelp and they had good reviews and they were open on Sunday. They said the diagnosis would be free. They tried to change the battery, reset the phone, and other things but the phone wouldn't come back to life. However, they wouldn't give up trying and it took them a week to order new parts and try to fix it and after a week of trying different things they were able to miraculously bring the phone back to life with the same state as it was before and they just charged $135! They saved me from getting a new phone! My phone pooped out on me and wouldn't charge or turn on at all. I thought it was a battery or charging port issue. I brought it to a different place previously and thought to ask TechFix for a second opinion. They asked me questions about what I had noticed before the phone died. Based on what I said, they figured out what other things to check apart from the battery and the charging port. It was definitely not my battery nor was it a charging port issue. They said something about the motherboard dying on me and that it was 50/50 chance they could fix it. I'm just so glad they were able to fix it and that they gave me the best customer service. They even provided a loaner phone for the few days that I didn't have my phone. They offered suggestions on preventative measures as well so that hopefully this won't happen again. My phone screen cracked which was a first for me (I take pretty good care of my phones). I didn't want to upgrade my iPhone yet as I am waiting for the next model. So I went around looking for phone repairs and found in this one-person shop embedded in a gas/car wash station. The employee quickly provided me with an estimate that was below Apple's, a competitor, and fast turn around time. During the disassembly they diagnosed that my battery was bulging and pushing against the screen. He visually showed me the problem and how the bulge was pushing right at the point where the screen shattered. Employee offered to replace the battery at a discount due to replacing the screen not solving the full problem. Overall, even though it was more expensive than initially quoted I was happy they diagnosed the underlying problem and would recommend their services. read more
