I was originally referred to this company from A fellow tee ball coach that worked at the company. As I am opening a second location for my new small business, I reached out to them to do some very basic work, getting marketing cards, invoices, 2 pictures on the front windows of the retail store, some store hours, very basic-basic requests. The first invoice I received was for $1800. I was completely shocked and said No thank you. After itemizing a few things that I desperately needed to get to feel comfortable opening my new location, they charge me $400 for invoices and marketing cards (double the price it should be) but explain the design fee is for the designs that have created for my window signs (which are 2 separate signs for that each costs $50) However I handed them the exact images they created, but I knew these things costs so I paid it and went forward. I then asked for a few more items that I wanted in place for my opening, again just store hours on the window 2 pictures and some lettering on the wall. as basic as it gets. After 3 weeks of continued communication, I begin to grow leary of the final costs again, and wonder why is it taking so long to complete a simple job and repeadily asked for a final invoice. .They call me the THE DAY BEFORE THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO INSTALL THE WORK, to reschedule with me, I then again ask can I please see the final invoice. They sent another bill for $600. On this invoice it has $104 charge for "design work". The images are from the exact work we already did and I paid for, so I ask why am I being charged an additional design charge if all we are doing is enlarging the images from my marketing cards to be placed on the window? Besides, I had personally supplied them with material to copy the images. I was than approached by the OWNER RICK JACKSON, and was told I had to pay up front for the install and the work but that he personally preferred I take my business elsewhere, HE COUlD NOT TELL ME A TIME TO SCHEDULE THE INSTALL UNTIL I PAID IN FULL. I then ask him, "so you want me to pay you in full, without knowing when you are scheduling me" His exact response was "Well Yes, but I had really prefer you take your business elsewhere" I asked why, and he said I was being difficult and they didn't want to do the work. He didn't like that I threatened to cancel the job because of the additoinal design fees . So now after paying $400 and them taking over 3 weeks to get anything done, they push me out. I WAS IN SHOCK WITH HOW AWFUL MY EXPERIENCE WAS Im just a local business trying to make it. This experience was one of the worst I have ever encountered in 5 years of being a small business owner. PLEASE IF YOU ARE A SMALL BUSINESS, STAY AWAY. THEY ARE MISLEADING AND MORE EXPENSIVE THAN ANY COMPANY I HAVE EXPERIENCED. UPS AND FEDEX ARE HALF THE COST, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! We worked together lock and step through the proof process and they were able to deliver on what seemed like an impossible deadline. It was an unpleasant experience doing business with Techniprint. Their prices are competitive and low, if it seems to good to be true it probably is. I received a low quote and decided to go through with the order. In an informal way, one of the representatives took my order. I sent the copy in a word doc and from there he processed the information. When I went to pick up the printing, I noticed there were missing characters on the sign. When I contacted the representative I was corresponding to, I explained what happened. The representative contacted the owner and the owner informed me this error was due to the document being sent in word doc and not PDF. I explained to him I was never informed that document must be sent in PDF and that is his employees error for not properly taking information from me. The owner said we can purchase another sign for half price. However, I felt that was unreasonable considering I already purchased a sign. I cannot believe this is the type of customer service the OWNER provides. That very day I went to Staples for their printing services. Staples prompted me to select a format that was compatible to upload on their website. After uploading the document in PDF, as REQUIRED by Staples, it then gives me a proof of what the actual product will look like, an option I was not given at Techniprint. Staples is more expensive, however, you are also paying for great customer service. read more

Horrible customer service. I would never imagine that the man claiming he is the owner is actually a small business owner. He could care less about customer service and/or the interest to earn business after one of his order takers provided unclear communication on the ability to perform a job from a walk in. How could an owner agree with his employee that it takes 30 minutes to make 30 copies after the order taker said they could get the job completed "right away".
