I want the deans with zippers two seconds later she was back. I will literally never shop with Tacovas again. We were shopping for my wife's Christmas present and she was torn between 2 boots. She really liked the Ostrich but it was significantly more expensive than the other pair she was considering. We were considering whether we could swing the other pair, and we thought that we would just come back once we had decided. The sales person then proceeded to warn us that the ostrich pair wouldn't be around later and that we should just buy it and then return it/get the other pair if we chose the other way. He assured us that they had a "great, no hassle return policy for 30 days". We foolishly listened to his suggestion. We decided that not only could we afford the other pair, but that my wife would actually prefer the other pair between the two anyways. She did not wear the boots and we planned the long drive up to the store to return them/get the other pair. To my shock, when I got there they said they would not return the boots. They said the bottoms had scratches on them and they couldn't take them back. We noticed some small scratches when we were at the store, but had no clue that would be an issue - especially after the sales person told us about the "no hassle return policy". They said I would have to call corporate and make my case to them, but the store would not take them back. I could not be more furious at this store staff. I was lied to and I will never be shopping here again. Do not trust anything these people say. read more

The service at this location is lacking. I've been in twice and each time, the young lady who works here that wears the knee high boots (each time she wore them), has never once said hello. Despite her restocking or cleaning next to where I am looking. My first visit, Caleb assisted me. He was patient and even though it took him a bit of time to even say hello, once he got going he was very helpful. The second time I went with my husband. Ironically, If you looked at us you would never guess that my husband or I have an upbringing in the farmer/caballero lifestyle. My family once owned Accomazo farms and his family were ranchers in Mexico, where these boots are made. He prefers Jordans and Nikes. I was wearing platform black boots. Could that be why no one said hello to us? 3 employees and not one hello? It's been some time since I've been in the retail industry but even if I was folding clothes, I always managed a hello to those walking into the store. This store isn't even large enough to miss someone. I ignored the rudeness and decided to see if they had the boots I wanted in stock. I had a question about fit so I took the initiative to ask. I've been a Tecovas cowgirl boot fan for years. I have several pairs that I've bought online, sight unseen. I haven't bought another brand since - the fit and craftsmanship of the Penny and the Lucy boots are amazing!!! If you've never slipped your foot in one of these boots, you're really missing out. They are made by hand and are one of the most comfortable boots I've ever had. I'm sure the half dozen cowboys I saw come and go picking up boots would also agree. I was so excited when I came across this store in this upscale Scottsdale shopping center. I've been wanting the taller boots and now I was able to try before I bought. Jessica helped me try on every style of the tall cowgirl boots and while I loved them all, the fit didn't quite fit me. I have runner calves from my running days and always have a hard time finding leather boots to fit the way I want them to. Thrilled I can come to this store when i'm visiting. Customer service is lacking at this store location. It seems that the employees have a less than caring attitude with shoppers. It's clear they have an air about them because they work in a store with a lot of foot traffic. Went in with the intention of buying a pair boots for a gift. Salesperson helping me had a less than friendly demeanor. Seemed like it didn't matter if I liked or bought anything. It really turned me off. Wasn't much engagement, and any questions I asked seemed like it bored the salesperson. Boots aren't exactly inexpensive- and when you buy something like this, it should feel like a fun experience. Instead I felt like just another number walking through their doors. While the inside of the store has a nice aesthetic vibe, the shopping experience and sales help does NOT. I bought my first two pairs. Bought exotics. Been wearing boots the vast majority of my 65 years. Boots are VERY comfortable, but toe is just not attractive. It is a round, more like a work roper boot. They need a good snip toe or A toe and square. I will wear mine as "kick arounds". Beautiful leathers. Mine are alligator and lizard, but just not attractive enough to wear for dress or other occasions. I would not buy again. Going back to Lucchese until I see a better selection from Tecovas. Getting my husband there was feat unto itself and being able to hand him off to a competent and friendly young sales person was a relief. While my husband insisted he was a size 8.5 (limited store inventory due to it being a common size) when he tried on an 8.5 in the available style it was too small! Found our way to the store in Austin, last time we were here they were down the street in a different location, that was four years ago! We purchased some boots and jeans at that time. Once back home to Arizona we washed the jeans and they shrunk (not supposed to) so they just sat in the closet unused. Made the trip back and decided to see if they would return them- they did!!!!! Now that is GREAT over and beyond customer service. Harrison was able to set things up so I could get two new pairs of jean replacements and in addition we purchased a Henley and woman's leather purse. Was helped by younger tall gentlemen. Gave prompt service, tried on a couple different styles of boots. I went with the Cartwrights, great boots, leather is very soft. They also have some apparel wear as well, definitely might go back to grab a coupe pearl snap shirts. I was only in there for 15 minutes, but loved the seating area for trying on boots. He answered all of our questions about the alligator boots and he was wearing/modeling a great pair of boots himself. My husband and I ended up buying a pair, and at the end of our purchase they offered us some sparkling water and it was just a nice time hanging out at the store with him and his coworker Alex. They both made our experience so wonderful and shared history about the owner, the owner's vision, all the different beers that are also offered and they were just really hospitable with us.
