This review is based entirely from my online purchase. In my exhaustive search for a handbag, I was able to find one that suits my style, amid exceeding the boundaries of my budget. It is almost difficult in 2013 for casual handbags to contain a zip closure but my large quilted tote bag - JAIDE by Ted Baker is elegant and ladylike with a modern appeal. It is important to me for casual handbags to have a zipper for usage in a large metropolitan setting to act as a defense against pickpockets. Five stars for an immediate online response to order fulfillment and delivery, however four stars as the actual product is huge in size and weighs 5 lbs. which I don't carry many objects in my everyday life. Ted Baker, an England clothing brand that is classic delivers style. Having never been to England, I feel like my new handbag represent England fashion and style brought to U.S. The packing was in a mammoth yellow box with a first class postage stamp and a false wax seal to secure the box. My wife and I went to the store for a specific women's suit. They had the jacket but not the trousers. Two of the women search for the trousers not only at the Company stores but the department store as well. Just when it appeared hopeless. One of the women found the pants in a department store in London. We purchased the trouser online while there and purchased the jacket from her at the store This is the reader's digest version as these lovely ladies helped us for over an hour. The clothes is Ted Baker are good quality and well designed. The store is well kept and nicely decorated. The returns policy is bad. Returned two shirts I got for Christmas but they would only do store credit as more than 14 days since purchase. But weird as it was a Christmas present. Fine for me as I wanted to change them. Problem was the store Carries very little stock and size selection and had to get shipped from warehouse anyway. Also could do without nasty comments to my kids from unhelpful staff but that's what these high end stores seem to be like alas. read more

This review is for the midtown store on Fifth Avenue. My goal is to visit every Ted Baker store wherever I go. So I made my way to this store on my first day visiting New York City. This store has the theme of Ted's house. Beautiful staircase. It has three floors. The downstairs one is for men, so I did not go down there. The main floor offers the new arrivals, the new collections. I almost left after perusing this floor, then I saw the sign, womenswear upstairs. So up I went. This floor offers way more collections that downstairs!! After spending a big chunk of time looking at every single item, i chose a few items. You have to ask for your size, sometimes it is in stock but not displayed. This is a weird operation, the salesperson has to call for an item in my size to be brought down. So after a few calls, I walked away with a few items I selected. This store must be a flagship store because it carries so many different collections!! I love Ted Baker a lot, but recently gained weight so a lot of their stuff do not fit me any more, like the dresses. Amber and the gentleman that brings clothes from the stockroom were very very nice, very patient. No doubt I will return. read more

Another regular stop on our trips to the City is Ted Baker's Fifth Avenue outpost. This gorgeous, deco-ish space is a fitting environment for the beautiful goods. I am totally smitten with his dresses (especially the florals and cocktail dresses) and simply cannot get enough of them. The true star of the show, however, is the menswear. Must add more "dressy" events to the social calendar to warrant a major splurge on a suit for the Mister. The sales associates here are extremely solicitous without being pushy or over-bearing. Surprised to be the first to review Ted Baker's "flagship store," as it opened around August of 2012. I'm a huge fan of Ted Baker clothing. Their stuff is so versatile. The same blazer (I now own 6 Ted Baker blazers, making up half my collection) that looks sharp at work can easily be paired with jeans to make you stand out at night. Ted Baker stuff is always subtly distinctive. There's a bit of an edge to every shirt, tie or blazer that they produce. The type of guy who shops at Ted Baker is athletic/slim cut (London based design), and likes to stand out tastefully with his dress. Or the opposite of peacocking. If you're looking for the biggest selection of Ted Baker clothing (including shoes), this is the best stop in NYC. 3 levels (2 for women's and 1 full floor for men's). According to the young lady who helped me, each floor has a different theme. The downstairs floor - men's clothing - is supposedly designed as "servants' quarters," which is where the fun stuff goes down. Happy shopping. read more

Absolutely love this store. To be quite honest, I love Ted Baker in general - the floral prints and their environmental/animal concerns about their ethics really appeal to me. I've been told the brand is quite popular in London, but I haven't seen that many people in the states rave about it. Either way - I'm raving about it because I love it and I think that the quality of their bags are comparable to many other high end designer bags in a similar price range, but obviously with more discount as I've seen them have 20% off sales in-store and online, which I don't really see with brands like Coach or Michael Kors. Note that if you're a student, you get 15% off as well, which adds up if you're buying a bag worth $200. Now about the store itself - located on Fifth Avenue and the corner of 48th, it's hard to miss. I love the design of the store as well, from the virtual clock outside to the rose-gold, mirror-adorned, and of course, overly floral interior. They seem to have a lot of items in stock (you can always check online to see if it is in the store) but sometimes it might lag a little as in it may be sold out in store, but online will reflect that it is still in stock. But NYC has about 3 Ted Baker's so that's always a plus! The staff is also super nice - if you have any questions about a particular item they're really informative. I really wanted a bag, but decided to grab it after work and they allowed me to put it on hold for a day. I really like the staff and the brand - definitely worth a purchase! read more

Almost fell off my rocker by the amount of selection here, you can't get this back home or even the Las Vegas Premium outlet. and the layout/design, especially the downstairs; for once, a men's section actually outshines the women's lol. This basement is gorgeously laid out and surprised at the huge selection just from one line. guess it's bigger name than i thought. some decent sales, up to 50% off some racks, were tempting. nice $188 dress shirts now for $100. really like how some of the men's blazers have that built-in pocket handkerchief, not a full one but a tiny, tidy strip that looks good enough and saves me the hassle of folding one lol. friendly service too. will contemplate coming back after my Woodburn shopping spree tmrw, if i don't find anything there, which i doubt lol. read more

This is not related to this store in particular but to Ted Baker's customer service in general. After unsubscribing three times and still getting emails, I had to reach out to Ted Baker in a note to please ask them to take care of this. How utterly ridiculous that I should have to have done that. It's really a poor reflection on their marketing/technology department if the UNSUBSCRIBE button was too challenging for them to get to work. Once that was taken care of, I sent them a note about the quality of the buttons. With no exaggeration, I have not had a shirt that I've been able to have laundered five times without a button breaking. My note to them was on the 8th of this month and as of this morning, no response. So I reached out to Ted Baker in London and they responded almost immediately. Word to the wise, do not waste your time attempting to communicate with Ted Baker corporate in the US. Their customer service would have to increase by a factor of 10 to get to cavalier. Save yourself the aggravation and go straight to the folks in London. read more

Love Ted Baker, don't love the employees at this location. Wish I could swap the help from the meatpacking district location to here. Visited both locations today secondary to size availabilities and while my bf was searching for some more slacks I truly felt like the employees were ignoring us and just went along with their personal conversations. Perhaps if they put as much effort into their customers rather then their conversations the manager may see an improvement in sales. I can only assume the sales staff made their assumptions and decided we weren't worth their time, but as one of my favorite movies depicts in Pretty Woman - "Big mistake" and then in my own taste, Baby I can make it rain. I read several of the reviews regarding customer service in this store and wanted to offer my own opinion so others can be more informed. The salespeople are mainly nice. I had the sweetest salesperson helping me out, asking me if I wanted to try the dresses on with heels (since I was wearing boots). However, it is the manager that I have an issue with. Not only was she barking orders at her employees as if they are her slaves, she maintained a stone-cold face the entire time when interacting with customers. Similar to someone else's experience, she asked for my credit card as if I owed her money personally. The only time she smiled was when she told me they don't give out student discounts on sale items (actually, she scoffed and laughed)... For some reason, she reminds me of the mad scientist from Futurama... which made me less angry and more giggly inside. With the exception of the manager (short, blonde cut), I had a lovely experience picking out a dress for a wedding. Don't let her deter you from shopping at this adorable store and just remember, the only way to deal with unhappy people is to remain positive! read more

Came in on my day off to return some stuff and the whole experience was annoying. I had to wait about 20 mins to finally get a hold of someone who could take the returns. I was returning 4 items and had accidentally left the order note/receipt for one of the item at home. I asked whether I can use my email order confirmation to return the item and was told no. I later found out that it explicitly states on the Ted Baker website that you can return items using your email order confirmation. So, I had to go out of my way to come back to the store the next day and subsequently got caught in the rain. No, it's not the store's fault that I didn't have an umbrella on me. However, I wouldn't have been in that situation at all if they had let me use the email order confirmation as proof of purchase for my returns like they were suppose to. read more

I was literally joking around about a return he should give my friend (since the shoes hurt her feet) and he actually loudly told me TO BUT OUT and that I had nothing to do with the conversation, In the most condescending manner possible! Who tells a customer to but out! (Even if I was annoying, even if it was not my return.) He made my friend, myself, the sales associate and everyone in the store feel seriously uncomfortable. I was at Bloomingdales on Saturday and fell in love with this one dress. They did not have the dress in my size in stock but suggested I try the Ted Baker 5th Ave store (I thought this was so thoughtful because what place would actually send business somewhere else!). I headed over to the Ted Baker store which is huge btw and has a great selection of all different items. Turns out they didn't have the dress in my size that I saw at Bloomies but were quick to make sure I found something else. The salespeople were so friendly and helpful. Not snotty at all and I did not feel rushed or pressured to buy anything. I ended up with a different dress but will for sure be back here for any future Ted Baker purchases! read more

However, they've just lost a customer who has laid out a fair amount of money at their Los Angeles, London, and Dubai locations. Why? Because their customer service and return policies are ridiculous. Case in point. Very expensive blue suede lace up men's boots. Suede, in four months, already pulling away from the sole. BIG TIME. Contact Ted Baker. "Sorry chap, nothing we can do without a receipt." "Hmmm, really? So this is your way or wiggling out of backing your own, EXPENSIVE product?" For the record, Tumi Luggage, even if the handle is frayed, regardless of what you paid, or where you paid for it and without receipt, will exchange it for a brand new one - no questions asked. So Ted, you can suck it because you just lost a devoted customer. Los Angeles is littered with other options, luckily, but best of all, I work for a fashion blog, so you can bet Ted will be getting some bad press in the coming year from me!
