Came in for an oil change on my car, the bay was empty when I pulled up for a simple oil change and tire rotation, no other customers around. The porter (Can't remember) the guys name was very friendly/professional. He told me that there was no service writer available (what?) so they could not take my car in. Then a minute later advises that they are having a company christmas party with all the techs so they need to wait until that's over. Probably one of the dumbest things I have ever heard in my life. Luckily one of the guys from the party comes down to write me up, then tells me they can't start on the work until the party is over. I wait in the lounge area for over 2 hours when I was told it would be done in about 45 minutes. Some thoughts to share with your business: 1- why would you have a company christmas party during company business hours and prohibit customers from getting assistance? 2- If your staff isn't around to help, just close shop for the day. They advertised employee pricing online and had a great deal for the Trax. It listed for approximately $16000 online. Once there the price went up to $29000!!!! I know it doesn't sound true, I can hardly believe it myself. They advertise hassle free buying but that is so far from the truth it's ridiculous. To get the online sale prices you have to be credit worthy in their eyes. Paying a car payment on time for 5 years is not sufficient. Shady dealership!! We are very disappointed. After several weeks of calling GM customer service and opening a claim against Tedd Britt (Tedd Britt continued to neglect all calls from GM) . The sales manager manager was very unprofessional . After several weeks, I was able to meet with the service manager who was on the contrary very professional . He initially said we have to send your car's hood for auto body shop to have it re-painted ! Huh ! A brand new vehicle with 0 miles needs to be sent for painting?? After, this is he agreed to exchange the hood with a new hood from an existing vehicle . Certainly, this was a terrible experience . I definitely I won't do business with company again. read more

I have taken my 2017 Volt to Ted Britt since I bought it there in 2017. My last visit, late April 2023, was a disaster. The service person, Michael, was HORRIBLE. He failed to communicate with me and the car took a week longer to repair than they told me it would. First they failed to provide me with the loaner car they promised, calling me on the morning I was scheduled to take the car in. They told me they had no loaner and could not give me any advice about when they would have a loaner available. A week later, when I was able to take in the car, they could not give me a date about when the repair would be completed. It took another week for the repair. The car is great and I love it but I will not be doing business with Ted Britt again. read more

I recently had my Chevy Silverado in for oil change and tire rotation on 6/08/2021. After completed, I had one of my employees pick it up and drop it off at the airport for me to pick up after arriving from a business trip. On my way home traveling at speeds over 70mph I feel a shutter in the front end. I call the dealership the next morning telling them I need to bring it back for possibly a rebalance of the wheels. So, I planned to take it the next morning because I had things to do however the shutter turned into a incredibly loud knock and I was afraid to drive it any further. I called for a tow from Ashburn to the Ted Britt dealership that evening. After I part ways with the tow truck driver he calls me to report that the front wheel had come off while going down Claiborne Pkwy leaving the front body of my truck pretty damaged and he had no idea where the wheel ended up. After a long night with Loudoun County Sheriffs department and two tow trucks we were able to get my truck back off the ground. Also, we were able to find my front wheel that ended up 200 yards away and luckily didn't hit a vehicle or pedestrian.....(with the lug nuts still in the hub!) The conclusion with video evidence is that the Ted Britt mechanic never tightened the lug nuts. There is no evidence of stripped studs either further proving that the lug nuts were properly tightened or put on at all. Even though Dave Lantz, the GM of service at Ted Britt has taken responsibility of this and is currently repairing the damaged parts he could give a crap that I or someone else could have been horribly injured or even killed. This is the guy Ted Britt puts in charge of service!? Wow good job. I have purchased 4 company vehicles between Ted Britt Chevy and Ted Britt Ford that are still in my fleet but I will never ever again buy anything associated with the Ted Britt name. Ted Britt should be ashamed of having untrained and unprofessional people like this working for them. For your own safety do not take your vehicle to these people unless you have a death wish! Took my car in for a recall. I decided to sit and wait for it because they said it should only take about 45 min. While they were done with the service in about 45 min, I then waited for god knows what to check out. The service tech had my keys for no less than 20 min before he finally said I was all set and then sent me to the cashier. I really do not know what took so long for them to check me out once the service was done. read more

I made my third trip there to service a check engine light problem. each time it was faulty emissions sensors. And I have spent over $1,300. to take care of the problem. IN mid-October I had it repaired and 2 weeks later the check engine light was back on, again it was faulty emissions. Yesterday I sat for 5 hours, as I did the time before, because they didn't have the parts in stock! So, I will never take my car there again. Seems other reviews on this dealer are hit or miss, which was surprising to me based on my experience. It was the end of the year, and with GM discontinuing production of the Volt, we decided to take advantage of the employee discount, plus $2,000 rebate on 2018 models so we could also claim the tax credit before that also ran out in Q1 of 2019. The biggest thing that stood out to me was that the manager was willing to work out a deal PRIOR to running our credit, which almost never happens. Typically, they want to run credit first in order to get a leg up on you during negotiations. At least this has been my experience over the years. Anyways, we came to an agreement and I was quite pleased with the deal we had sorted out. They then ran our credit and didn't quite get to where we wanted once everything was plugged into finance, but they worked hard to get to where we were comfortable and ultimately ended up being able to make a deal. Three days later and I am still pleased with the deal and have no buyer's remorse. Everyone from our salesman, the floor manager, and the finance guy were all great to work with. No pressure and they genuinely seemed sincere in selling us a car at a fair price. read more

I brought my 2005 Saturn VUE in. It's had some issues recently and I have gone to various places. One is a great car fix it shop (near my home). One is out of town in Myrtle Beach. One is off highway 95 South because my car broke down there & I had to get off the road & somewhere to fix it quickly. The one is Myrtle Beach was a Chevrolet Dealer. And so is Ted Britt. (duh.) I have to say at both of the Chevrolet Dealers, I was very happy with the service reps, the people I talked to about the issues, the mechanics, the parts, the cost, everything. At Ted Britt, specifically, they fixed something I have complained about for years. For Years. I am not joking. I kept saying, "I think it's the rotor, I think it's the rotor, I think it's the rotor, maybe the brake pads....." Well, I got all confused when place after place basically laughed at me and fixed other things. Then my husband drove my car. He was shocked at how horrible it was. And was starting to scare me that we had to buy a new car! (I love my Saturn VUE and I do not want to have another car for at least 10 more years!) Anyway, so we came to Ted Britt, and at this point I was now convinced it was a torque converter / recall issue. I was absolutely convinced. I had read online blah blah blah. They drove it for at least 6 hours trying to replicate my problem. They diagnosed and re-diagnosed my engine / torque issue. And assured me it's working fine. Finally, they came back and said, "it's a rotor issue." Now, I balked at first. I had been told for so long that I was the idiot who didn't know diddly squat about my own car (I am more car saavy than most car mechnics think a blonde gal should be; I figured very early on that I had to be so no one could pull one over on me.) And I argued a bit with my husband who reported the news to me. "No - it couldn't be a rotor issue!! All those other places said it's not! It's got to be the torque converter!!" Well, they assured me it wasn't, and I decided to trust and my husband was fine with the bill. So I took a chance. And low and behold, they gave me a new rotor, brake pads, and 4 new tires (it needed those too). You know what? My car acts like it's brand new. I am not joking. It's like a brand new car. I want to give a shout out to Gabe. What a guy! Friendly, smart, patient. I asked him a bunch of questions. And he was so patient with me. He explained it until I understood it. And I want to give a shout out to Ricardo. (I hope I spelled his name wrong.) What a guy. He drove me home the day I dropped off my car. In solid traffic the whole way to my house. No complaints. Chipper cheerful guy. Very kind. And he picked me up at my mom's house when the car was ready. We had a nice chat and some good laughs on the way back to the dealer. After I paid for the car, Ricardo went around back and then drove it up to me. He even had on the Spanish radio station for me. There is another guy there who works side by side with Gabe but I am sorry to say I have forgotten his name already. He was great too. I talked to him the first go round - told him what I knew by pointing my finger and identifying things, then he explained another thing I have asked dealer and car fix it places over and over and gotten basically laughed at or ignored or told, "that's not important." Well, it is to me. It's my car. I want to know what those parts are and what they do. This is how I learn about cars. He explained a part of the brake housing to me and why it looked the way it looks. Thank you!! Now I know why it looks that way! This was important to me. He was so patient and thoughtful and smart and helpful. Once upon a time, this was a Saturn Dealer, and I got all confused when Saturn closed their doors after I bought my first Saturn (this car!!) ..... and didn't know where to go with my car. You know what? I know now. When I have car issues and I am home, I will be taking my car to Ted Britt Chevrolet. Oil changes, brake pads, inspections, anything. I will be going here. I thought I had found a place and gave it high marks on Yelp and everywhere else, but I will be going to Ted Britt for my Saturn issues. read more

Should be zero stars...Ted Britt is the worst! I set an appt for an oil change and inspection. 1st I pulled into the garage and cracked the rocker panel because the orange marker post were not aligned to the the hazard (who has a hazard in the drop off zone!)-TB refused to take any responsibility..stuck me with the bill. 2ndly they told me they would have my car back to me by 2pm (I had a hard stop at 4:30). I had to keep calling to get status and by 3:30 they never commenced the do the Service because they said the Inspection is a first come first serve and since the technician is the same one that changes the oil, no services were rendered yet. Why make an appointment if its first come first serve? I finally came and picked up my car and took it to Virginia Tire and Auto. Best advice is to avoid them! read more

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with a car dealer. I located a vehicle online. I requested information and was contacted via text message. The sales person, Angel, was uneducated and down right rude. If you can't spell or write a proper sentence you probably shouldn't be selling vehicles online. Angel was very rude every time the deal took a turn he didn't like and by took a turn he didn't like I mean he didn't read the message or was drunk. His messages made little sense and made it hard to conduct business. I said I was no longer interested and he became even more ignorant and rude then when dealing with him. The lack of professionalism is enough to turn me off to Chevrolet as a whole. When we did speak on the phone he wouldn't introduce himself. I would answer and he would just talk AT me. Zero stars is not an option. The absolute worst vehicle buying experience I've ever had. I've probably bought 10 personally, countless through government contracts and several for private business which is what this purchase was. Knowing the market conditions there was not a lot of haggling. I asked what was out there and I was offered $1750 in rebates. I took them and did not ask for another penny. I put a $500 deposit on the truck to hold it until my company could wire the total funds. I was told by the finance manager when they received payment the charge would be reversed. On my company's end we did ask to change the sales order to remove tax title and tags because we were going to register it ourselves through a new entity coming on within our company. That's when it all went downhill. GM Joe Britt claimed if we do that, they wouldn't get their rebates (from GM and Costco). Nowhere in the documents or online is that substantiated. They tried to force me to continue to register through them, but I did not. I needed an updated sales order minus tax, title, tags to which the GM supplied me one with the statement of "in all transparency, I am making all this add up to the total you need". Reviewing the updated sales order, I noticed they tried to sneak in the deposit toward the cost. I called them on it, busted! They tried to steal my $500 deposit. I received the truck via delivery, however, without any paperwork or a refund on my credit card. I was told they can't do that, all refunds must be by check, their company policy. Guess they did not share that with the finance department. Two weeks later, I received a Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin and a refund check made out to me personally. Why would they make the check out to me when I was clearly on my company card! The only answer is they are inept and shady! GM Joe Britt quit communicating with me, so I had to hear from the salesman (for whom I felt bad) "my boss said...". Joe Britt is shady, a liar and a coward. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't buy penny candy from Ted Britt even if it were BOGO. If you chose to do business with Ted Britt, beware, watch your wallet and read everything with a fine magnifying glass! Ted Britt, spare me your normal response of "we are sorry to hear you had a bad experience, please contact us so that we may work toward a resolution". blah blah blah. read more

6 Hours for an oil change, and then nearly assaulted by the service manager! Made an appointment to bring my 2019 Silverado in at 8:00am for an oil change. Got there at 7:55, so I was on time. Guy at the service counter said there were a few recalls on my truck and it would take about an hour to do them. I said no problem, go ahead and do them while I'm here. So I'm figuring hour and a half, maybe 2 hours max for the oil change and the recall repairs. He noted they weren't very busy that day so he would get me in and out as quickly as he could. 4 and a half hours later I'm still sitting in the waiting area and nobody has bothered to tell me anything. Finally the guy at the counter comes over and asks what I'm waiting for. Well that's a good question! Way to take care of your customers! Then he tells me the recall repair actually takes 3 hours! OK, 3 hours for the recall repair, half hour for an oil change. I was basically the first customer here at 8:00am, and now it's almost 1:00pm. You do the math, something's not right! Anyway, I was told they were "buttoning up" the work and that the service manager had been made aware of the situation. At that point, normally the service manager would come out and say something, or offer an apology, but no such luck here. 45 minutes later I'm still sitting there, no truck, no explanation. So I asked to speak to the service manager, and that's where things got interesting. Enter the service manager, Eric Kohler (at least I'm told he was the "service manager". He was wearing a t-shirt, jeans, and no name tag, so who knows). He walks up and says "What's the problem". Really? He says he has no idea what's going on, and that he could not be expected to know about all of the service tickets they have. I pointed out to him that there were only 3 people there. So I guess the service manager can't be expected to keep up with 3 service tickets. Nice! Way to take up the mantle of responsibility! Then Mr. Kohler lost his cool. He began yelling at me, asking who I was to tell him how to do his job, shaking his hands at me, stepping to me while obviously trying to flex his muscles to intimidate me. Well, maybe someone should tell him how to do his job, but I've been there almost 6 hours, I just want my truck so I can get out of there! I don't need the craziness of dealing with someone who appears to have serious anger management issues. Figuring the best option would be to de-escalate the situation, I recommended he go ask the technician servicing my truck about the status of the work. After a few more minutes of waiting they brought my truck out. 6 Hours in total! I hope they actually did the repairs and did them correctly, but I have my doubts. Also, the service manager Eric Kohler told me I was not to come back! So when your company screws up, and lies to a customer, instead of just owning it and apologizing, you should hide in your office as long as you can, then come out to deny responsibility, and be aggressively confrontational with the customer! Way to go, that's great customer service! Well Eric, don't worry. I'm not going to be in any hurry to come back. I don't have time to waste half my weekend on an oil change anyway! Now I understand why Ted Britt Chevy's service department has such bad reviews and ratings on every platform! It's worth mentioning that Jason, the guy working the counter, did admit the mistakes and apologized profusely. Not his fault, the real problem here is obviously at the supervisory level! read more

The dealership had my vehicle for a little over two months. This was the worst service I have ever received. I do not recommend.

I bought a 2019 Chevy Cruze in Dec 31'st, sold my 2008 vette. I bought this car for MPG and a bit bigger for my service dog. A couple weeks ago I was at a local farmers market, my dog was hot so I put her in the car (Push button start) I came back about 20 minutes later and my dog was COOKING in the car with it off. Thankfully it was only off for 5 minutes but this gave me sheer terror, I took the car to GM, asked them what they could do in extending the time frame, they were nice but ultmately refused to do anything for me. Pushed me towards GM, I worked with them for a little over a month, we got technical involved. I escalated to the Customer service facing side and they called it a "safety feature" that the car turns off after 25 minutes with a dog or child present. The district manager also ultimately refused to buy back the car. During our further training, I literally have to watch the car and make sure it doesn't turn itself off while we are waiting. I brought my service dog into the dealership and this was not told to me when I bought it, I loved the buying process but now after calling Toyota locally, they have SUV's that will not turn off and i'm stuck footing the bill. I'm now forced as a employee of one of your financial partners to go through my channels to see if we can get SOMEONES attention up higher. 9-5284447625 Here's what I want: I want you to buy back the car. I would stay clear of their service department. They charged me twice for the same repair and had no remorse. My AC went out in my 2016 Yukon, they 'repaired it' charged me $800 bucks and a few weeks later I had the exact same issue. During the first repair they charge me for diagnostics, and a pressure test using dye. They assured me the AC was repaired then the 2nd time I brought it in they found another leak. Why would they run a diagnostic check after the first repair is beyond me. So they charged me $800 bucks again to repair the AC a second time. If I could give them zero stars I would. read more

I have lost faith and trust in this company. In 2019, my significant other was employed by this company as a Sales Associate. During his time of employment, we purchased a car under 100,000 miles, which qualified for Ted Britt 4 Life. This car had a clean CARFAX. He is no longer an employee of this company, but we continue to service my car at this dealership through the Ted Britt 4 Life warranty. I dropped my car off to get an oil change. The following day my check engine light turned on, my car was smoking, I had lost all my oil, and the traction control turned on. I called and brought my car back to the dealership. I did not hear from them for a day and I had to repeatedly call the dealership to get information/an update on the car. When I finally got a hold of them, they claimed the problem was all fixed and they had been waiting for a good time to call me. The next day after getting my car back, the check engine light turned back on, my car was leaking some type of fluid/liquid, and there was a ticking noise coming from the dash area. When I called to explain what was going on and tell them I was coming to drop off the car, they told me I could not get a loaner until they decided if it was their problem/they were the ones who caused it. Now mind you, I have not had any problems with my car until after they have serviced my car for the oil change. I am waiting to hear on the progress of my car now for the second time as I just dropped it off. It is incredibly frustrating that I am not having so many issues with my car after they have serviced it and claimed it was all fixed. This is a company I will no longer be using or buying another car from and I advise you all do the same. read more

I talked to someone in chat about a brand new Corvette and wanted more details about the disclosures to qualify for discounts on the car and how much each was worth since I knew I didn't qualify for one of them. I live a LONG distance from there and wanted to make sure I knew all the facts before I made the trip to buy the car which I was very seriously considering. That person in chat told me someone in sales would contact me. Then Anthony Saunders emailed me this: "Please fill out from a computer and I can tell the rate. Please put Anthony as the salesperson." I looked at it and it was ~5 page questionnaire asking all the financial questions. I started filling it out until I saw how long it was and that it was asking my income and everything else, which is none of their business at that point. I didn't ask about financing or anything else. I just wanted information on the discounts. So I told him: "All I wanted to know is which discounts would apply to me. You don't need to know my income and all that other junk to tell me that." Anthony replied: "Clearly you saw the price online, right? And you asked for financing information, which is why I sent the link. We have no idea what your credit is" And again, I reiterate, I didn't ask for financing info. I asked for the discount disclosures. My reply: "You apparently can't understand the difference in asking about qualifying for specific discounts and interest rates apparently. I talked to someone else about it yesterday who actually answered questions, so I'm not dealing with you. You don't start out negotiating for a car by filling out a damn economic disclosure and all of my personal information." His reply: "If they are able to predict what "damn interest" rates you qualify for with out seeing your "damn" credit...more power to them. Best of luck" My reply: "I didn't ask about f###ing interest rates. You're a sh!tty salesman. You're lucky I don't go to your boss and report your smart ass comments." His reply: "Just responding directly to YOUR emails Genius. We no longer WANT your business...DO NOT CONTACT US ANYMORE!!!! We would have given you a stupid deal, good job pissing me off and talking yourself out of the best deal you would have gotten in your life...I will be sure to tell my management not to entertain any of your bullshit, and to delete you from our system. If you continue to harass, I will gladly report you to the proper authorites. Feel free to contact any of my management staff....By the way, I am one of the best Chevy salesman in the Country....KICK ROCKS!!!!" My reply: "You're the worst salesman I've encountered in my entire life. You can take your arrogant ass and go to hell." His reply: "Beat me there...And you are extremely disrespectful, which made me show you the same disrespect...kind of angry with myself for allowing you to take me there, but I needed a little entertainment for the day." That's not a salesman. He's easily the worst, most arrogant, unprofessional salesman I've ever encountered, that clearly did not understand a word I said when I told him repeatedly I was asking about details on the great discount on the car to make sure I'd qualify, and NOT interest rates! I could have written a check for the entire car! I would never do business with someone like him, nor would I trust a dealership that would employ someone like that. The female salesperson that also emailed me yesterday about it was great, but unfortunately this guy had to ruin it all. I no longer have the confidence in this dealership to go that far to buy a car, in case he actually is telling the truth and management would take his side and they'd blackball me over his shortcomings. Btw, I left NOTHING from our conversations out. Everything is word for word, with zero omissions. This is what you get when dealing with them, for real. After striking out with bad customer experiences with Bonnim in Manassas and Country in Warrenton I tried here yesterday. I went online filled out yet another credit app to be sent to this location after looking at their inventory. They had one--read ONE--truck I was interested in. I put that along with its VIN in the application. Within minutes of clicking submit I was called by a sales lady. She followed up the call immediately with texts. I had several appointments yesterday afternoon I had to get to. And was ready to leave when she called/texted. I did take a minute to respond to her texts with more detail. I also took a minute to at least call her back and direct her to my texts. When I called back she was evidently helping another customer according to the man who answered. So he seemed to want to help me in her place. I told him about the above. I told him I was only interested in the one truck. I told him I wanted to get all of this done over the phone/online before I come there and if I came there I only wanted to sign already filled out paper work, get the truck and leave. At this point I realized that he and I had a communication issue. He kept saying he needed proof of income etc. I kept telling him to email me and I would reply back with PDF attachments of whatever he wanted. Finally I thought he and I were on the same page as he said he would email me and I said I would reply back after my appointment I was headed to with the info he needed. I went on to my appointment only to be called by this guy again. He proceeded to tell me that he needed the same things he and I went round and round before. I patiently listened to him. I then told him to send me an email. He insisted that I sent him an email first. I thought it was absurd but he was beginning to get annoying, I was busy, so I sent him a test email from my work phone as I was talking to him on my personal phone. While he never responded to it when I was finished with that appointment I went to my office, got the email he gave me, replied to the one the sales lady sent to me earlier, copied him to it and provided the bank statements, etc as PDFs. To this minute I have heard NOTHING. Not a thank you we will be in touch. Not a "sorry we cannot help you". Not a "get lost". Nothing. I just love all my personal info floating around out there without any acknowledgement besides the fact that they don't seem to want to do any business with me whatsoever. And American car dealers wonder why all foreign models are beating them hands down...... read more

I really wish I could give this place 0 stars. Tried to apply for a ~$20000 loan back in May for a Chevy Cruse LTZ. I'm a recent college graduate with short credit history, but was willing to put 10k down to make the process smooth as possible. After being there for about 3 hours, keys in hand and ready to go, they came back to me telling me that they were having an issue with getting an investor. Waited another hour, finally came back telling me the best they could do was $3xx/month with an interest rate through the roof. Of course I walked away, and later found out from my credit bureaus that they had run a combined 17 HARD CREDIT INQUIRIES on me. (No, I did not consent to them that they could run that many, nor would I EVER let any company abuse my credit in such a way) Now my credit has a shiner and this junk won't clear til summer of 2018. Idk how things usually go for people who have longer histories, but apparently a 730+ mid score with minimal revolving liabilities and a 50% deposit doesn't cut it. read more

Don't be fooled by their customer care response here and take your Chevy to Pohanka. They understand service. I bought a new Tahoe LTZ here this year and it was a pleasant sales process. That said, the service received since has been unfortunate at best. Apparently, my car has had a defect on the trim which causes it to be very noisy. Since I reported the problem, it has been over a month and still no word on when it will be fixed. The client representative doesn't respond to most of my emails. In fact, she advised me to call GM myself to have them expedite it!!! At this point I will and have recommend to everyone I know to have their service done at Pohanka instead, as I've owned an Acura for 12 years and they are top notch. I purchased a used vehicle from Ted Britt Chevrolet this month and until today I thought that I had a good car buying experience. The internet inquiry agent was great--she responded to all of my questions to the best of her ability, and offered me a range of vehicle options to consider. When I moved on to the actual purchase, I felt like I was having honest and direct conversations with the sales agents and thought I walked away with a good deal. HOWEVER, I must warn anyone who intends to purchase here and plans to title their vehicle in Maryland or DC to BEWARE! A question that I specifically asked during my conversations with the representatives was "what happens if I purchase the car and it does not pass inspection in Maryland?" and the response that I received was "If it passes in Virginia, it will pass in Maryland." And of course I thought it would because buy between Maryland and Virginia all the time because we are border states...why wouldn't it be the case? I was so naive to take them at their word. Not only did the car NOT PASS Maryland inspection, but now I am left to question "what actually passes inspection in the state of Virginia?" There are lights out on the vehicle (think that would have been caught), not due to bulbs but to circuit failure (which seems like a quick fail) and ALL of the tires need replacing, and even the wipers were bad. After reaching out to Ted Britt to explain this, I did not get a call back the same day and when I followed today (the next day) all I got was "Sorry I don't think we can help you. I thought everything was good too" So now I have to come out another $900-ish to get this car up to standard and safe for my family's long term use (because bad tires are nothing to play with). And we are only talking a 2013 model year. I feel like I've been Had...Hoodwinked...Bamboozled...Led Astray...Run Amuck. I thought that Ted Britt would stand by their auto work as a trustworthy dealer/service center and a representative of the Chevrolet brand and make things right with a customer that literally spent hours of driving back and forth, and virtually communicating with them, to build a relationship and give them business by simply taking the step to make the repairs they should have done in the first place and provide me with the vehicle that I thought I was buying, that I was assured they were selling me. Clearly, someone made decisions along the ways to cut corners here and leave the mess with the customer. I hope no one else has to go to this experience ever again. Lesson learned! So remember: -Just because it shines, it doesn't mean it's actually not dull. -Don't trust what the dealer tells you about inspections. If it is used, take the car to get it inspected yourself by someone you trust. -Ask for the inspection report as a part of your paperwork as I am not waiting for a copy of it. -Be careful of Ted Britt Chevrolet Used Cars. read more

I bought a 100,000 mile warranty for my 2012 Chevy Volt through Tedd Britt Chevy in Sterling. I had brought my car in once earlier in the year and had a pleasant experience. The service manager was very nice back then. Unfortunately that service manager is no longer at Tedd Britt Chevy of Sterling and the new service manager (and team) are nothing like the old service manager. I noticed the charge cord that came with my car was getting very hot. It got so hot that one of the prongs melted out of the plug. I did some research and found out that these cords had been recalled because they are a fire hazard. I took it to Tedd Britt Chevy in Sterling and asked for a replacement. The service person said I had to drive my car into the service bay and they would have to look at my car for an hour to an hour and a half. I asked, "Why? The car is fine. This melted charge cord has been recalled, just give me a new charge cord." He said he couldn't replace my cord until I left my car with them for an hour to an hour and a half. I admit what I did next was brash. I drove my car into the service bay very fast and slammed on the brakes. The service manager came out of his office and yelled at me. "You do not drive your car into my service bay like that!" I yelled back, "I did not want to drive my car into your service bay at all. This guy won't replace my recalled charge cord unless I give you my car for an hour to an hour and a half. There's nothing wrong with my car. I'm going to be late to work." The service manager says, "I see. You're upset because you're late for work. That's not my fault." I said, "I'm not late for work right now but if I have to wait an hour to an hour and a half for you to look at my car which has no problems at all, then I will be late for work!" The back and forth yelling continued until the service manager finally asked the service attendant if he had my address and VIN. He said he did and the service manager said, "You can take your car and go." I left. Since my wife signed us up for UPS notifications, she said she got an email from UPS that stated Ted Britt Chevy was shipping something to our house. I never got a call from Ted Britt saying they were going to ship me a new charge cord. We had to find out through the UPS notification system my wife had signed up for. Whatever as long as I get my replacement charge cord - I'll be fine I guess. I'm just disappointed in how I was treated. The new service team there just makes you feel like you are just a revenue stream - not a customer. They lose money replacing my recalled charge cord so they wanted to find something wrong with my car to make up for that revenue loss. They can't say that out right though. They have to say, "It's just our policy to look at your car for an hour to an hour and a half." They don't care if they are inconveniencing you or making you late for work by doing that. They just want to find something wrong with your car to get back the money they lost replacing your recalled charge cord. read more

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I was lied to AND called a liar by the used car sales manager Chaz Bryant The manager Chaz Bryant could not have been more rude to me. I was there with my spouse to checkout a Chevrolet Cruze we were interested in. We were planning to trade in our current car at Carmax (we had already received a satisfactory appraisal and we just needed to find a new car first). We didn't find a car at Ted Britt that fit what we were looking for so we were planning on leaving. Our salesperson (not Chaz) suggested we get our car appraised and do a trade in. He said it would only take 10 minutes and we saw a huge sign that said "We need vehicles! Ted Britt Chevrolet pays more than anyone! Yes, even Carmax. Highest appraisal guaranteed - or get $1,000." Well, our car was appraised at Carmax for $13,000. Ted Britt appraised it for $10,000. $3,000 less. Obviously we want to get as much as possible for our car. I asked about the $1,000 since they didn't give us the highest appraisal. Our salesperson then informed us that they don't actually do that. I asked to speak to his manager, who was Chaz Bryant. Chaz Bryant informed me that they don't give the $1,000 as the sign states. I said they should take it down as it is misleading and not true. He said they only do that for cars they want. I asked to speak to his manager. He rudely said that his manager was Ted Britt. I asked for his phone number and he said, "Ted Britt is dead." I then asked for another managers name then, he said a name (I've forgotten it now) but said he was unavailable as well. FInally, we all walked to the new car section and I spoke to a much more polite Manager, Natt, who reappraised our care for $13,000. I mentioned to Natt what Chaz had said about his boss being Tedd Britt and how I couldn't have his number because he was dead. Chaz denied ever saying that. He tried to blame it on one of his coworkers when I remember him saying it to me. He asked me to swear to God that he said it. When I refused to swear to God, he said that was proof I was lying. My spouse and I clearly heard him say this. The most upsetting part was that he tried to blame his coworker and that he said I was lying. My car salesman, Eddie, and the other manager, Natt were very kind but I was shocked by Mr. Chaz Bryant's sarcasm, rudeness, and disrespect. I own a Ford Escape from Ted Britt but they will never get my business again. If you don't want to give people $1,000 if you can't give them the highest appraisal, that's fine. Ted Britt Chevrolet did not configure my OnStar services on my 2019 Chevrolet Malibu after replacing the communications module. They had my car for 4 days, replaced the module but didn't test to make sure it was working, didn't wash my car, left a large glup cup in the car, and left plastic in the back seat. Luckly, I had some wipes in the car and wiped it down to make sure it was COVID free. I bought the car from Ted Britt Chevrolet brand new and which now only have 4560 miles on it. installed a new OnStar module but didn't test it with OnStar (really dumb) after keeping it for 4 days. I bought a General Motors car because I wanted OnStar which I thought was a proven and excellent service. I now think that I would have been better off buying another manufacture's car and for their satellite connection service, and buying from a different dealer who value customers. read more

This is my family's favorite dealership. The service department is outstanding. They have taken care of us for over 20 years in this area. We started buying and leasing Chevy vehicles starting with a diesel Cruze then an Equinox. From there as our kids started to grow we took on a Trax then a second Equinox to replace the Chevy Venture and recently we bought two more Cruze LS using the web prices that were extremely favorable and honored. It was necessary that I was eligible for all the discounts but having experience we had good credit and a teacher discount and a loyalty discount and a student discount. We have worked over the years with Anthony Saunders in sales and he is a very honest and hard working friendly dude who does his best to take care of the customer. With my two boys heading off to college it was good that we could set the older one up with a Cruze as his first car now that he will live off campus and even better that the monthly payment is reasonable. I remember my 1st car was a Camaro back in 1986 so obviously I am a Chevy loyal customer but this dealership still takes care if it's customers most of all. I went today for scheduled serviced oil change. Arrived at 7:38 am ask how long it would be . Told an hour . At 9:07 I walked to front desk ask statues of my car and was told they hadn't completed work and had service recommendations. No one had ever came out before I approached them to discuss recommendations. I had been waiting over an hour and no service advisor ever spoke with me. Customer Service horrible and continues to go down hill. My car had not been washed or vacuumed yet I was charged full price. After today customer service wouldn't recommend them to my enemy. read more

I had an issue with my Corvette top not resetting after the car battery went dead. I tried to fix it myself, but it needed to be synched so I took it to Ted Britt Chevy. They initially told me that it needed more hydraulic fluid and that they would need to keep it over the weekend because they didn't carry that fluid in house. On Monday they called and told me that the convertible top motor was bad and that it would cost $2200 for the part (which I found online at GM for $1200) and another $300 to install and fix. This diagnostic alone cost me $160. I retrieved my car fairly certain that they didn't know what they were doing and took it down to a trusted shop down in Woodbridge (not as convenient, but...). The shop in Woodbridge just called and NOTHING needed to be replaced. They got it working fine with just a few minor adjustments. Can't tell you how thankful I am to find a reputable repair shop. I took it to Chevy because of convenience... they will never see me again. read more
