After my first appointment, I intentionally started booking with other estheticians at this location, and those experiences were excellent. I never had any issues with pain or my skin. This time, I didn't realize I had been assigned to Emillee again. During the waxing, I repeatedly asked her to be gentler because the pain was unbearable, but she continued anyway. The experience was extremely painful, and afterward my skin developed blisters. I've had waxing done many times before, including by other staff at this location, and I've never experienced anything like this. Throughout the appointment, she repeatedly commented that I had darker skin and darker hair. Those comments made me feel very uncomfortable and singled out. I also noticed her adding something to the wax during the appointment, although I wasn't told what it was. In addition, wax was spilled on both the floor and the table, making the entire appointment feel disorganized and unprofessional. During the service, I told her how much pain I was in and warned that I would consider taking legal action if my skin was injured because I felt my concerns were being ignored. Despite that, the service continued without any noticeable adjustment. Overall, this was one of the worst waxing experiences I've ever had. Based on my experience, I would not book with Emillee again.

A few minutes into the wax, she begins to ask me how often I exfoliate. From there, she goes on to say that I don't exfoliate enough, how important exfoliation is, and how she can tell that I don't exfoliate enough (I guess from my hair, idk). She then asks what products I use and how often I use them. I forgot the name of the exfoliant I use in the shower and when stating that, Marianahi just laughs. The comments about exfoliation continued for half of my waxing time. It was extremely repetitive and honestly left me feeling odd. I didn't know what to say after a certain point of her continuing to talk about how important exfoliation is. Aside from that, she stated that she could not get all of the hairs on my legs due to lack of exfoliation. I wasn't aware of how much hair was remaining that she couldn't get as I couldn't see my legs, but she continuously stated that my lack of exfoliating was the reason she could not take out all of my hairs. It wasn't until I went home that I noticed a majority of my hair still there, and I found it hard to believe that not exfoliating as much as Marianahi prefers is why my legs still have most of the hair still on it. I had to shave my legs and felt like I wasted so much money on my wax. In addition to this experience, when I checked out, the lady at the front desk was really trying to sell me on a wax package stating that I would save a lot of money and get a few free waxes. Even after I stated no several times, she still continued to try to sell me on the packages, to which I still said no. When she finally was able to accept that I wasn't interested, she wanted to rebook my next appointment to which I stated I only wanted to rebook for 1 service since my hair doesn't grow back that often in other places. She seemed as though she didn't understand what I was saying and was in disbelief. All in all, I'm not sure if this is a universal experience at European Wax or just this location, but I absolutely will not be back. I might go to another location one day, but I'm skeptical of even doing that from my experience here.

I wish I went with them sooner! Third time being waxed, first two had been sugar waxing with someone else. IMO sugar waxing takes so long and it's painful from start to finish especially with the molding. Today I had Zai, she's so funny and easy to talk to. If you're the kind of person that needs conversation for distraction she's you're person. I'm pretty quiet myself but she's super engaging and sweet. With our quick conversation I barely had time to register what was going on down there and before I knew it I was done. She made sure to get any stragglers left behind and followed up with some oil and spray for in grown hairs. So happy with how smooth I am! The work station and building is kept sanitized and cute. She also asked me about what I use to exfoliate and ensured my after care was up to par. And, they do facials! Excited to come for one! The waxing itself- like I said definitely prefer it over sugaring! I was in and out no more than 15 minutes, the warmth of the wax was at a nice temperature, it was easy and dare I say almost painless. ALSOOOOO they DO NOT accept tip! But bring your girl some coffee or a snack (those are the best tips imo anyways) read more

I have been visiting Ted D Bare for many years seeing Jane (Lady Peng) first and now Rika for the past year or more. Rika is very professional, works quickly and engages in wonderful conversation with you (or if you want to just rest, that is possible also). Ted D Bare knows that everyone's time is very valuable, and they stress being there on time, as once you're in the room, it seems like you're walking back out within minutes (OK, if you're having a full upper torso, Manzilian and butt wax, your there a bit longer). When I first meet Lady Peng years ago, she made me feel comfortable as it was my first waxing. I had told her and now Rika that I read about the PAIN being free, however, I keep telling them that I have not felt any pain. I've never been anywhere else and I can't see every going anywhere else which is why I drive the 60 miles. The waiting area is well decorated. If you've meet Lady Peng before, it speaks of her (in a very good way :)). Lady Peng has a great business, a great sense of humor and a great team behind her. Sometime ago I visited several waxing salons. I was not pleased with the service from them, the wax was very hot, convince of the location as well as the price. Then I thought I would try Ted D Bare. The first person I saw at Ted D Bare was Jane. I had a back, shoulder, and butt wax. She was very quick and did an awesome job, as well as being very blunt which is no problem with me. I saw her several times in fact she was the only one I had wax me. Since COVID I have not gotten waxed until recently. My waxer Zai was just as awesome. Enjoyed the session and she did an excellent job. In fact, I received several complements on my waxing this past weekend. I will be back in six weeks. This was my first time getting a manzilian and Mandy made the whole process easy, quick and comfortable, (as best one can be receiving a manzilian). Mandy explained each step of the process as she moved from one part of the body to the next, and warned me when it might be especially painful. All the time working with great efficiency. As mentioned in other reviews, Mandy is an engaging and uplifting conversationalist. Not only does the conversation help pass the uncomfortable moments with relative ease, one leaves the session with a feeling of positive outlook and energy. I haven't been here in a while, but I think about this place a lot. I've never gone to another waxing place and I never will. These are straight up Olympic waxers. It will take t-minus 5 minutes, yes it will hurt, but at least it'll hurt for a small fraction of the time any other waxer out there will torture you with. Also, I have to say I was waxed once for my very first time by a friend of a friend and the main level of that wax compared to when I would go to Ted D Bare is dramatic (meaning they really do make it as painless as possible). I mean it when I say I will literally drive 8 hours to the Bay Area just to go here for a wax - there is no place better. read more

Been to a ton of different waxing places but wow this one is the best by far. I love the online booking and you can usually find one day availability. Usually I get hard wax Brazilians bc less pain but despite them using hot wax here it was still less painful than most of my hard wax experience. My girl Rika is the bestest!! Been going to her for some years now and can't say enough good things about her. This place is tucked away in the cul-de-sac of little small businesses in downtown Campbell. I was a bit confused at first because the outside sign said that it was a tanning place, but then I saw signs inside the window that said that it was also the eyebrow threading place. I was just here for eyebrows and it was $15. They accept Venmo, Zelle or cash. ~~Parking: There are some street parking spots available on Campbell Avenue and a couple of parking structures nearby as well. I like to park at the parking structure on second St. and just walk over. ~~Service: Great. The technician that was working on my eyebrows was super kind and friendly. She asked me if I liked my brows and I Asked to make them a bit thinner to have a higher arch and she was able to do so. ~~Best Part: They have stamp cards available! We're on your fifth visit you get $4 off and on your 10th visit you get $6 off. Just gotta be sure to not lose your stamp card! ~~Return: yes!

They were very understanding, communicative, and made every effort to accommodate me. Van was amazing with my acrylics and did a super cute cat eye finish when I was going to go with something more boring. She even offered to re-do them if I didn't like it! I got special treatment when the super nice lady running the show (I didn't catch her name because she was in a cute dress!) stepped in to do my pedicure when there were no other available cosmetologists available. Best leg massage ever and great attention to detail getting my old gel off and new color on. I won't be going anywhere else!

I was asked if things looked OK, but once I feel like something is off, I'm not going to ask the same person to fix it to be honest. I specified one part of my brow that I am trying to grow out, but there are lots of hairs left under both brows that make it look messy/unshaped. I will say this was the least painful threading experience I've had by far, but I do feel like the lighter hand may have resulted in less sharp results. Maybe a better option if you have thick brows to really work with.
