This was my first appointment with Dr. Hume. My experience was great. I greeted upon entering, warm and friendly. They were aware of my situtation (wasnt able to fill paperwork on line). Set me up with there tablet explained it, as soon as i sat from returning it, i was brought back, xrayed and seated, this is usally where and when things get to be too much for me, but there was no time for me to get nervous, Dr.Ted was there, which made me feel even more comfortable. He had a look and his helper came, did what i was hoping could be done. I was there an hour, but it felt like fifteen minutes. His assistant was knowledgable, informitave and handled me in a gentle and caring manner. As soon as my proceedure was complete, Dr.Ted returned, gave me the information that i asked about and i was done. I left there feeling very content, actually kind of happy, never have i thought that ever. I have gone to many dentists in many places. I have waited years in between visits. I would become nervous, aggitated and short tempered. I have skipped appointments, but told my family that i had gone. I have tried many different types and doses of perscriptions, to calm, mellow, control the nerves, fear or anxioty except for pain. When the pain got bad enough, oh ill go, but by then they could only remove it. Ill be telling my friends and family about this experience, my ex-wife and kids will get a good laugh on Dad. Wow! This is an exceptionally great dental practice. My first visit today--Allison is a terrific hygienist and she is gentle and thorough. She talked me through everything she was doing. The way the computer was set up, I could see the X-rays as they appeared and that was very informational for me. I felt part of the process rather than a subject who was having something done to him/her. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Dr. Hume shot straight---no attempt to sell me on anything. I have a difficult problem and he talked me through it and recommended a great oral surgeon, whose office I've already called to get the ball rolling. This is dentistry done right! I would recommend this office to everyone who wants quality dental care. The focus is on the patient and great medicine here. I think this dentist is one of the rare few who figures when he does right by patients, success and more patient referrals naturally follow. read more

In all honesty, Dr. Hume and his staff are hands down the best in Dallas. I was having extreme pain on the left side of my face. With one quick visit he was able to inform me that it was a wisdom tooth that turned into a cavity. He was able to get me in the very next morning, and within a short period of time, that tooth was gone. If you need a dentist who won't "beat around the bush" and the friendliest, and caring staff ever, then this is the place to be. You can tell he really cares about people and their dental health. Efficient. Quality work, had two cracks in two separate teeth, I had 0 pain during procedure and Ted made sure my bite was perfect. Before today I have never left the dentist with my bite feeling the same as before, just figured it was unattainable. Now I know different.
