    I stopped by this Ted Wiens location to get an oil change. The employee greeted me as I entered the business. They were able to get me in and out in a reasonable amount of time. The employees were all very kind while speaking with myself and other customers.

    This is gonna be long but here goes... ‍ I am extremely satisfied with my experience that I had at Ted Wiens a week ago! I was experiencing some issues starting my car for about a week and figured it was a battery issue. I had my battery tested at O'Reilly and they told me battery was fine, that it was the starter that was going bad. I called 3 different shops (Ted Wiens being one of them) and they quoted me the cheapest price to replace the starter. When I talked to Johnny he told me wanted me to bring it in to look at it. I went that afternoon and he hooked it up to the diagnostic machine and said that the battery, starter AND alternator were all good. He showed me the slip of paper from the machine to verify. He told me to try changing out my key fob batteries, as when the batteries get low the fobs have trouble communicating with the ignition button. Since it was a while since I last did that i went ahead and got new batteries. Worked good for about a day, but still the problem persisted. And on top of it I was starting to smell a really strong fuel smell. This had me a bit concerned so I brought my car back there and spoke with Johnny about and let him know I was still having issues with starting my car. His coworker (I believe Joseph) brought the car around back and said he could definitely smell the fuel. I asked Johnny what worst case scenario would be for my car. He told me it could be the fuel pumps and if so it would be close to $3k repair on my car. But knowing that if I brought my car to the dealer to get fixed it would easily be about 1k - 2k more plus they were twenty minutes from my house. They wanted to do a more thorough diagnosis on the car and wanted to keep it overnight to which I agreed to. The next morning I walked over to the shop and approaching it I saw 5-6 LVMPD vehicles getting serviced. This immediately put my mind at ease because I know that our police department is not going to take their vehicles to a shady shop. When I got inside Johnny took me to my car and he started it up. I could see the fuel leaking from the pump area, so yeah much to my disappointment it was a fuel pump issue but I am glad finally there was a resolution. He had to order the parts and said work would start as soon as they got them in. Next day (Wednesday) my car is ready. Yay!! I have a job interview on Friday which I'm already nervous about and I can't afford to think about if I'm going to make it in my car/how to get there. I pick up the car that morning and Johnny tells me if I have any issues to give him a call. I decide to stop at Sam's Club and I'm in there for about an hour. Come back to the car and it doesn't start . Had my battery retested by Sam's Club tire tech and he tells me battery is fine. I called Johnny back and nearly crying, tell him I'm stuck at Sam's Club. He tells me NOT to worry, he's on his way. He gets there in about 10 minutes and he finally gets the car started and inspects the engine again. He hooked up my car to the diagnostic scanner and after a series of engine offs and ons, he finally got a code on the scanner. (Mind you I had no check engine light throughout this whole ordeal). The code was for a "crankshaft sensor bad". Upon hearing this from Johnny, all I could think about was how much more this was going to cost me. The answer was $0. Johnny said he was going to take care of this and it would be no cost to me. He drove my car (I ended up driving his) back to the shop and they proceeded with the crankshaft sensor replacement. He called me later that afternoon saying car was ready and picked me up to take me to get my car. My baby 2013 Hyundai Azera was back in business and she has been starting and running great since last week!!! YUUUUUUGE shout out to JOHNNY and the rest of the Ted Wiens staff. You really put this girls mind at ease and made a really stressful situation less stressful. I ended up paying for my fuel pump repair with their credit card. I plan on taking the car back there for my future oil changes and getting half off. Also good to know they do emissions testing so I'll be doing those there as well. Thanks again Johnny and staff from me and Baby Azzy. We'll see you around!

I love the weather, the active lifestyle in my 55+ community, and the fact that Las Vegas is only about 30 minutes away, offering countless restaurants, entertainment, and services. Unfortunately, living here has also taught me another lesson: the old saying "Buyer Beware" is more relevant than ever. Over the years, I have found that many businesses--whether in medical care, auto repair, legal services, home repair, or other industries--either overcharge for their services or fail to deliver what they promise. As consumers, we often have little choice but to trust the professionals we hire, making honesty and integrity more important than ever. To me, a truly exceptional business is one that takes the time to explain what is needed, treats customers with respect, performs quality work, and charges a fair price. In other words, it follows the Golden Rule: Treat others as you would want to be treated. Imagine how much better our communities would be if every business operated that way. While companies like this seem increasingly rare, I was fortunate enough to find one recently. I took my 2022 vehicle--with only 22,000 miles--to an auto repair shop that had serviced it several times before. I requested nothing more than a routine oil change. About an hour after leaving the car, I received a phone call informing me that they had discovered major front-end damage. I was told the vehicle was unsafe to drive and that the repairs would cost between $1,800 and $1,900. The diagnosis didn't make sense. My car had never shown any symptoms of front-end problems, so I decided to seek a second opinion. I brought the vehicle to Sonny's Auto Repair at 1000 Stephanie Place, Henderson, NV 89014. From the moment I called, I noticed a difference. The receptionist greeted me warmly, listened carefully to my concerns, and assured me they would be happy to inspect the vehicle. After spending 30 years in customer service, I know how much first impressions matter, and this one was outstanding. I dropped off the car and was told there would be an $85 inspection fee. Later that day, I returned expecting to hear the worst. Instead, I received some of the best news I could have hoped for. The technician--and even the owner, Chris--carefully inspected the vehicle and found none of the damage described by the first repair shop. In fact, the only problem they discovered was that the oil filter installed during the previous oil change had been improperly fitted and was leaking oil. They corrected the problem immediately. Then came the biggest surprise of all. When I asked what I owed, I was told there would be no charge. Chris explained that the repair required very little time and that he could tell how distressed I had been over the prospect of an unnecessary and expensive repair. Think about that for a moment. How often do you encounter a business that could have charged you for an inspection, recommended unnecessary repairs, or simply taken advantage of the situation--but instead chose honesty, integrity, and compassion? Those qualities deserve to be recognized. Because of this experience, Sonny's Auto Repair has earned my trust and my future business. More importantly, they restored a little of my faith that ethical businesses still exist. In today's world, honesty and integrity are qualities worth celebrating. If more businesses--and perhaps even more institutions--followed the example set by Sonny's Auto Repair, our communities would be stronger, trust would be easier to earn, and life would be better for everyone.

I have an older vehicle and can safely say I can transition from the dealer to this location. I did have some leaking of oil after some work but this was easily recovered as they brought me in the next day and even compensated me for the issue. The price seems to be competitive compared to other places. As someone who doesn't know cars, I can sure say I felt heard and understood here. Paul and Devin were especially helpful. I took my car to them because my dashboard lights went out, which I explained to DEVIN at the front desk (neve r seen him before) but no the less I was not worried.... until DEVIN called and I quote "Calling to get your permission to fix your hose" .... Me:???????? DEVIN, "yes, your hose(coolant) needs to be replaced because it's missing" Me: when did it go missing? did it evaporate, I JUST dropped it off. and dhow much will MY permission cost???? DEVIN: $1300 and that doesn't include the Labor. Me: well, you guys usually send pics to my email detailing what needs to be fixed and what was discovered. DEVIN: well, for some reason we can't get the car started to do a diagnostic, and if you can't afford it I can send you a link for apply for a loan, it gives you 90 days to pay it off, which should be enough time for you, or you can come with a tow truck. Long story short, I DID NOT give DEVIN permission to have the work done on my car. and when I arrived my car was magically sitting out of the garage with my COOLANT HOSE DETACHED FROM THE COOLANT TANK!!!! WHICH WAS NOT DEATACHED WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF!!!!! AND I WAS STILL CHARGED FOR A DIAGNOSTIC $224.00 AFTER DEVIN TELLING ME THAT THEY COULD NOT DO ONE!!!!!! Called up and scheduled an appointment with Jon. Upon his arrival we just knew things were about to trend in the right direction. He has such an incredible personality, is patient and overall, has a down to earth demeanor that is a RARITY (and refreshing to see) in this city. After attempting to "kick" the starter and run diagnostics on the battery, it became evident that both needed to be replaced. The battery was only a few months old, but as is the case sometimes, there is a chance you might end up with a dud. Based on Jon's suggestion, we managed to get a replacement from the nearby auto parts store, and within a couple days, the starter replacement arrived, and Jon not only installed it but even helped change the oil in my mom's car as well and answer some of her questions and concerns. We will definitely continue to use, as well as recommend Jon to friends and family. Thanks Jon! BTW: The Rooster, with his leather jacket on, says hi. :D
