I've had two good experiences here and one bad one. The food is good and there is a wide variety of things to choose from.

Ordered the mushrooms again(repeat customer). The amount received for the price is great but the service is unlike any I have seen in many years. I was informed they were out of mushrooms and thought I wasn't going to be able to get them when I was advised an employee had gone to the store to get more and it would be a short delay and I could get my order. I was shocked as I have gotten used to places running out and being out until their truck came in again. I guess I am not the only one that likes the mushrooms. read more

Food was good but the waitress was horrible. Waited a hour an a half for our food then my husband's order was wrong. Had to ask for everything. I never recieved a refill on my drink. Someone spilled a drink an tea went everywhere, all over my jacket an in my hair. Was charged the wrong price for my usband's meal. Doubt we will go back. read more

This was probably one of the worst experiences I have had at a restaurant, and it really takes a lot to make an experience a bad one, for me. I can understand that a place gets slammed and that things take time, that is not really my issue. My food was not great, but we had been there so long that the salty chimichanga didn't really bother me too much. My issue tonight was that the last portion of our party did not receive their food within the first 20 minutes after the rest of our group. Our waitress did not come back to our table often, so we went to find someone to see if they would check on it. That person never showed up, and then the table of 15 people that showed up after we ordered our food all got their food. Again, we went to find someone and then the food finally came out. All three of those items were room temperature, and one of the people in our party ordered only a soup. The final straw of the evening was that the person that got soup was given nothing but a plastic knife with their meal, all while everyone else had metal spoons. When a second person came to the table, we asked if she could have a spoon, she told us that there were not any, and we asked her why they sent a knife to eat soup with. She didn't say anything, and we asked if we could have one (we understand that dishes have to be cleaned, but a knife is not a good substitute for a spoon). Well, she, rudely, said, "sure, I'll go get that." A few minutes later, still no spoon in sight. Finally a third person came out and asked if we needed anything, and again we said that we needed a spoon instead of the knife they sent for the soup. She said gave use excuse after excuse, and we told her that the delay was not really the issue, it was that a knife was sent out to eat soup with. Finally a spoon came out, and then so did person number four, who started off with "you made two of my girls cry", and again we said that all we needed was a spoon. He started getting really defensive and argumentative, and finally said in the most smart-aleck, condescending tone ever, "don't you worry, I'll take of your bill." Literally nobody wanted comped food, all we wanted was a spoon. Our server didn't come back to the table for the longest time, and we were there for over two and a half hours. Finally, she came back with tickets, but didn't ask how they were going to be split, and they were all wrong. We told her who had what, and she was writing things down, and after ten more minutes came back with incorrect tickets again. After another five or ten minutes, she came back with the correct tickets, and we handed her our card. It was another ten minutes before she came back will most of our cards, but not ours specifically. She said that the guy at the front has it, and we said that we handed it to her. Turns out she handed it to a guy at the front counter that thankfully was in our party, and they were already done and signed out. That was unacceptable; you cannot hand someone else's card to a different person, especially when they were on the opposite side of the restaurant than where we were waiting for half the evening. read more

Came to try the new place. Sat at the bar. Lots of open tables but the management guy was telling people there was 15-20 minute wait. Didn't understand why. The bartender was pleasant but alone, overwhelmed. She couldn't keep up with the bar and the restaurant orders. We asked her if she had help; she told us there had been scheduling problems. The manager guy didn't know how to change the tv. Every tv in the place was on the same thing. Management is not doing a very good job. The manager person checked on us; I told him his competitors know how to work their tvs and support their bartender. He got pissed and left. The poor management will be the downfall of this place. Too bad because otherwise good food and drinks. The other folks at the bar were just as underimpressed as we were. read more

If you're thinking "oh this is new and looks cool! Let's go!" Let me do you a favor, skip it, save yourself the money you're going to completely waste. Start with the food - sub par, nothing special, absolutely everything was frozen and reheated, bland, and just plain gross. Hospital food is better way than this. Now onto the service - waited 20 minutes after being seated for any servers to bother themselves with waiting on us (there were maybe 6 other tables full besides ours in the entire building). This establishment is more of a social hangout for waitresses and the male servers trying to hit on them. I literally witnessed a female server groping her own boobs, then serving food directly after. The only reason this place even deserves one star is the fact that it does have a decent atmosphere/vibe, minus the food and service. I can bet they'll probably most likely be making most of their money from the bar, rather than their food, and it shows. My family will never return, and you can bet I'll admonish others to do the same. Total waste of time and money. read more

This place definitely has a taste of Lubbock. Their fried cheese is the same as Spanky's in Lubbock, and they are the only restaurant in Amarillo that I have noticed that carries Llano wines. The menu is very large and varied, so narrowing it down can take some time. The first time we went, the food was FANTASTIC. The second time, I ordered take-out of the exact same order. I showed up to pick it up, waited for them to get it to me, and after the short drive home, everything had to be reheated, and the taste was pretty disappointing. The service was great, and the atmosphere is fun and loud. They have an outdoor patio that can host a band, and while it makes it loud in the back half, the front half isn't too affected by it. I will definitely try it out again, and hope it is like the first visit. (Oh, and in case you are curious, our meal was the fried cheese, pork filled rellanos, chicken fajitas, and a dessert cookie with ice cream) read more

Second time to eat here, probably the last...two of us ordered Chicken Alfredo, the meals were bland and tasted like it had been prepared hours before, but than my daughter in law found a fly embedded in the noodles and sauce, I asked the manager (Rowdy). So how would that happen? , his response was "hey their flys. They fly around it's what they do". He was so nonchalant about it that I had to write this....yes I know flys fly around and if they get on your plate while they are alive, I understand , but when they are cooked into your dish, because it was left uncovered too long that is another matter... perhaps the general manager should give his Saturday manager a lesson in empathy read more

Food was good and the waitress did great. My only complaint would be that happy hour said $3 Wells so I ordered a chilton with well vodka with my meal. I mean a lemon with well vodka and soda water should count as a well since it's part of happy hour or so I thought. Get the ticket and it states a chilton is 6.50. I sent the ticket back only to have a manager come back and say it was $3 well SHOTS so I asked to speak with the other manger and he abruptly showed up and told me that a well should be a whiskey and coke but a vodka and soda water isn't a well. Doesn't make sense when I've gotten them from here on multiple occasions and they were $3 for happy hour. He proceeded to talk down to me and belittle me in a sense that I didn't know what I was drinking. I said okay because I don't appreciate the manner I was being spoken to in and that we will not be returning and he walked off, chuckled, and said okay. If I would have known a well vodka would be almost $7 I definitely would have gotten Tito's or something on the higher end. Poor management and customer satisfaction. If you don't want to feel like you're an idiot and want to legitimately enjoy your dinner then I suggest spending money else where because management obviously doesn't give a crap about how their customers feel or their experience in this establishment. read more

This was the most unprofessional restuarant I've been in amarillo. I called ahead for our rather large group and was told we would be placed on the call ahead list and the wait could be up to 45 minutes. When we arrived we took our pager and began to wait. Many groups of 4-6 people came in AFTER we were on the list and were seated before us. We waited over an hour and half before speaking to the manager and leaving and going to the rib crib (who was very accomidating and seated us quickly). The food was so good and huge portions. Even though we went on a busy Friday night we called ahead and had a minimal wait. Elizabeth , our server, was busy but she never looked frazzled or overwhelmed and was super sweet and chatted with us. Tons of people but honestly didn't feel crowded or too loud. First time to visit today for lunch. They are not ready to serve the public. Very unorganized at front counter. They should have a hostess greeting and directing people, instead a luke warm guy with little organization. Seated and we were left to wait for a wait person to come by the table. Finally asked the hostess to have a wait person stop by. Ordered water to drink and waited for 20 minutes for it. Specifically ordered our meal at the same time so we would not have to wait for her to come back. Lunch was 40 minute wait. Food was good but service sucks in a big way. For a new establishment there should be a large focus on service to gain and keep customers. read more

Had a bad experience party 6 1.salad was order with out blue cheese but came with it on it 2. never brought out appetizer until asked about again 3. pizza that was order was never made. 4. one of the dinners was made wrong and other two dinner the food came out cold not even partly warm, never got refills on our drinks. Was speaking to other people and they have stated they have had the same issues as well. Very unlikely I will return. Called ahead 2 days early and were told that they don't do reservations but call an hour ahead on the day and they will get us taken care of. Called an hour and a half ahead on the day needing a large table and we were told that they didn't do this on Saturdays. While we waited for an hour and 45 minutes, 2 different large parties were seated ahead of us and we were told that they called ahead of time!! The 2 young ladies at the front desk were very rude and hateful. It's a great place to eat if you like waiting and being treated badly. My friend said the bathroom was really nice. So if you need a place to use the restroom, this is it! I will say that the Blue Sky restaurant next door is very accommodating and the food is great! read more
