The only good meal out of 4.
    Julie C.

Wow in the worst way. Go here for drinks and vibes not the service or food. Out of 4 orders, 3 of them were wrong. Had a whole conversation about subbing fries for veggies- fries still came out. My friends were brave ordering steaks in the first place, we can all admit that, but they were cooked like the kitchen had only cooked burgers in the back yard and that's the extent of their talent. Our waiter (I only name drop when they do a GOOD job- but I remember exactly what his name is) forgot we existed 10-15 mins at a time, and *offered* to have the insanely overcooked steaks fixed after we brought it up. Don't give people an option, they'll be too kind a scared. Go fix it. Having people cut into steaks upon delivery to make sure your kitchen didn't kill the cow twice is also common practice. All amateurs aside, MY meal was correct and the band that I sadly didn't catch the name of was very enjoyable. The options in this town that AREN'T Mexican food are so limited, so I get that folks don't have much choice. But if you're shopping around, don't throw this one out there.

Great food and service! We stopped by on our road trip and it had something for everyone. Fajitas, burgers, pizza, fried chicken, broccoli chicken Alfredo. Beer selection is on point. The breaded mushrooms were tasty. Mashed potatoes hit the spot.

    These fries were inedible.

Teddy Jack's seems to really have gone downhill. Their menu is outdated, and some of the bar items are no longer available, and they were out of the Merlot. The food was the big disappointment of the night. I had the California Clucker. The bread tasted so bland, thick and low quality that I ended up dumping the bun and just eating the inside of the sandwich with a knife and fork. The fries were absolutely disgusting. They tasted old, uncooked, extremely potato starchy, and a little bit plastic. Had the manager bothered to come by, I would've asked him to taste them because he shouldn't be sending out food that taste like that. My mom got the chimichanga dish and it was mediocre. The restaurant was not super clean, and our table was sticky when we were seated. Also, not to judge people, but there was a pregnant hostess, dressed in super tight clothes who looked extremely unprofessional and miserable to be there. The one bright spot of the night was our server, Bryn. She was newish and had a great personality. She was sweet and polite and just radiated light. We didn't want to complain to her because she was trying so hard and being so sweet. I hope this place will take a look at what's coming out of its kitchen and try to get back on track because it's usually a great place to go with a really good menu but last night it was absolutely disappointing.

The place is very west Texas charming. They have both Indoors and outdoors low and high tables, patio and a bar top for seating. So it's on the good side so big groups. The food and the crowd is very diverse. It includes the typical comfort food, and some salad, and burgers options. There is a bit for everyone. Food is fresh and tasty, and It is on the well portion, heavy side. They have a good alcohol menu mostly with cocktails and beer. The bathroom are spacious and gendered, and parking should not be an issue. Service was a bit slow, but it was a Friday night.

The Mother Clucker sandwich with onion rings. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Don't go for the food. It's a sports bar go there to drink but if you're going there to have a good meal you're going to be disappointed.

There being about 20-25 people there, how was our meal prepared with no culinary attention to detail? For example: my wife ordered the chicken fried steak, mash potatoes and salad. Her steak was so "bland and lukewarm" that it literally removed all sensitivity of taste from our tongues..., no seasoning or flavor whatsoever. On our drive home that's all me talked about. Mash potatoes were likewise "lukewarm and bland"..., then factor in the gravy..., exactly the same. Her plate obviously sat at the window too long or perhaps her food was simply "sitting there" waiting for us to order it. Her salad: there was nothing "green" about it, it was "all the white stalks" of the lettuce, literally 4 olives, a sprinkle of shredded cheese, 3 half slices of tomatoes with "gigantic croutons (that was interesting)". My "blackened chicken salad"..., salad was the same as my wife's; double-dang because I love salads and being type 2 diabetic and having high blood pressure this would have been the perfect meal for me. HOWEVER; the chicken was the worst ever because it was saltier-than-a-1820's-sailor..., horrible..., and drier than a camel's hump in the Sahari. I never knew that a chicken breast could be abused like that on purpose. So, how does such a nice looking place sell someone "absolutely ridiculously horrible food".

Listen up, this place is new (opened late Nov 2024) so they are still working out the kinks. I say this because there are two reviews on this place that mention negative things. IMHO I think thus far they are excelling and will only get better and better. We need to give them grace as they learn and grow. ***So please READ MY REVIEW and ignore the 1 stars.*** The food we ordered was tasty, affordable and came out quickly. We started out with the mozzarella logs and the devil's on horseback. 10 out of 10 on both. For the entrées, we ordered the boom boom shrimp tacos and the ribeye sliders. I couldn't believe how tender the ribeye was in the sliders. They were so good. For dessert we had the mini beignets and the bread pudding. I think the beignets were better than the ones from New Orleans. They were so soft and warm. Yum! My Husband compared the bread pudding to the one at the Dave Ramsey restaurant in Las Vegas. The ambience was cool of course. It's a sports bar so you hear everyone's excitement from football. Pretty cool location if you ask me. I highly recommend if you're in the area or live in Lubbock.

I will give major props to the server, Mollie, and her manager for doing a phenomenal job resolving a minor issue with the order quickly, politely, and effectively. The atmosphere was fair with good music and humorous decor in the bathroom. The lights weren't for me, but others may like the statement. Where The Reserve was lacking was the food. The pepperoni pizza was pretty good, but again there are better options around town. It did taste like it had been prepared in a genuine brick oven. The tortellini was bland. The queso was good enough, but nothing to get excited about. The salsa was downright terrible. The chips were actually phenomenal. The margarita made no attempt to cover up the strong taste of tequila. The Chilton tasted like club soda and not much else. Lastly, some of the surprise fees made me feel like I was booking air travel or paying a wireless bill rather than getting a nice meal. The final charge was a few dollars more than what was shown on the ticket. I assumed this was probably due to a service charge for paying with a card, although I didn't see it with a quick glance at the receipt. In all fairness, I'm sure this was disclosed somewhere and I overlooked it. I have come to accept this as the way of the world now. Also, when we ordered the chips and queso, we were asked if we wanted salsa with it. We accepted the salsa with the assumption that it was complimentary. Granted, since we were asked, I should have assumed that there was a charge for it. The charge was reasonable, although wasted because the salsa was so terrible. I did receive approximately a 5% discount for the order mix-up, and I actually ended up with a free pizza as well. The service and attentiveness were truly exemplary. I would give this place a second chance if I were in the area, but I certainly will not go out of my way for it.
