This has the best fish and chips in the area. Service is kind and consistent but can be slow when it's packed. We brought 8 people and had a blast. The soft serve margarita was apparently a hit, and the food always slaps here overall. The vibe is like a dive bar with a pool table and nice homie vibes, with interesting decor. Ive tried fish and chips everywhere here (aware it's not a staple or smart to go for this option in most restaurants in a landlocked city 10 hours from the ocean hahaha) but this is by far the best. Wow in the worst way. Go here for drinks and vibes not the service or food. Out of 4 orders, 3 of them were wrong. Had a whole conversation about subbing fries for veggies- fries still came out. My friends were brave ordering steaks in the first place, we can all admit that, but they were cooked like the kitchen had only cooked burgers in the back yard and that's the extent of their talent. Our waiter (I only name drop when they do a GOOD job- but I remember exactly what his name is) forgot we existed 10-15 mins at a time, and *offered* to have the insanely overcooked steaks fixed after we brought it up. Don't give people an option, they'll be too kind a scared. Go fix it. Having people cut into steaks upon delivery to make sure your kitchen didn't kill the cow twice is also common practice. All amateurs aside, MY meal was correct and the band that I sadly didn't catch the name of was very enjoyable. The options in this town that AREN'T Mexican food are so limited, so I get that folks don't have much choice. But if you're shopping around, don't throw this one out there. read more

Food is not worth the price. I asked for medium burger. It was burnt. I got the $10.99 special nothing more nothing less. Somehow my bill ended at $17+ Ridiculously priced for a (mid) burger. After a long day of working,I took myself and two other's that work for me to get dinner. It took about ten minutes for someone to come get a drink order then after getting our food my steak was overcooked and after eating a few bites I had beans under my mashed potatoes and broccoli.. I'm done with Teddy Jacks. We've been there several times over the past few years and it has been hit or miss. Sometimes good, others bad. Tonight, we went to eat with some friends. About halfway through the meal, one of our party found an entire fairly large (2 inches long) green worm in their mixed vegetables. We asked for a manager who apologized and promptly took the worm away. It was dead, but nearly all of us had the same vegetables on our plates. Needless to say, none of us ate any more. When the bill came out, they had comped one meal but that was it. No further discussion about the issue. Will not be back. read more

Teddy Jack's seems to really have gone downhill. Their menu is outdated, and some of the bar items are no longer available, and they were out of the Merlot. The food was the big disappointment of the night. I had the California Clucker. The bread tasted so bland, thick and low quality that I ended up dumping the bun and just eating the inside of the sandwich with a knife and fork. The fries were absolutely disgusting. They tasted old, uncooked, extremely potato starchy, and a little bit plastic. Had the manager bothered to come by, I would've asked him to taste them because he shouldn't be sending out food that taste like that. My mom got the chimichanga dish and it was mediocre. The restaurant was not super clean, and our table was sticky when we were seated. Also, not to judge people, but there was a pregnant hostess, dressed in super tight clothes who looked extremely unprofessional and miserable to be there. The one bright spot of the night was our server, Bryn. She was newish and had a great personality. She was sweet and polite and just radiated light. We didn't want to complain to her because she was trying so hard and being so sweet. I hope this place will take a look at what's coming out of its kitchen and try to get back on track because it's usually a great place to go with a really good menu but last night it was absolutely disappointing. read more

After checking against our credit card statement, we found that someone added a nice little tip without our authorization. We won't be back because the employees must not be trustworthy. The place is very west Texas charming. They have both Indoors and outdoors low and high tables, patio and a bar top for seating. So it's on the good side so big groups. The food and the crowd is very diverse. It includes the typical comfort food, and some salad, and burgers options. There is a bit for everyone. Food is fresh and tasty, and It is on the well portion, heavy side. They have a good alcohol menu mostly with cocktails and beer. The bathroom are spacious and gendered, and parking should not be an issue. Service was a bit slow, but it was a Friday night. read more

We had lunch over the weekend here and it was not as good as previous visits. The cheese sticks were good... but not great as I remembered them. The Caesar salad was a disappointment. It was wilted and the dressing had an odd taste. The Chicken Alfredo was average. The chicken was dry and it appeared the plate had sat under the heat lamp for a time. The chicken cordon blue sandwich was average. The chicken was very small, over cooked and the bun was definitely much larger. Nothing more to say on that. We were charged for top shelf vodka in the Bloody Mary which was not requested and there was a full price charge for the salad that was a lesser price with an ordered entree. The manager asked how our meal was ... we mentioned those two issues. He did discount our tab for the salad and appetizer. I doubt we'll go back for awhile. read more

This is a perfect example why I don't always believe the reviews... as of 10/19/19, Teddy Jack's had a 3-star rating out of 165 reviews. (3-Star is usually "just ok" or "just average" in my book.) So I was "iffy" to try them after reading some reviews but we decided to give them a go and WOW! Glad we did! Upon arriving here, around 4pm on a Saturday (after a Texas Tech game), the parking lot was pretty full and I was expecting one of those "20 minute" (ends up being more like an hour) waits... INSTEAD we got seated IMMEDIATELY. Our wonderfully friendly server promptly came over and took our drink order. Followed closely with our appetizer order (our table went with chips and queso and the MOZZARELLA STICKS). P.S. I highly, HIGHLY recommend the MOZZ sticks! They were so amazing! For meals, the guys at our table got the "double double" burger, my friend got the chicken fajitas and I got "The Mother Clucker sandwich." My chicken sandwich was HUUUUUUGE. It comes with TWO, yes TWO battered chicken breasts with a side (I had the onion rings). I took the chicken off the bun, ate one of them, gave my husband 1/2 the onion rings and I still couldn't finish it. The onion rings batter reminded me of the mozz sticks batter. My friend enjoyed her fajitas and both our husbands enjoyed their burgers. Prices seemed reasonable. $7 for the mozz sticks, $11 for the HUGE chicken sandwich... I can't remember the rest but they didn't seem outrageous. Service was incredible. Our server came to check on us frequently, very frequently! A manager stopped by to ask how our meal was. Everyone seemed very attentive and friendly. We loved the ambiance. Very eclectic decor, cool open ceiling with modern lighting. My husband said he visited here with his work and sat outside and it was nice. We all enjoyed the 80s/90s rock music. Heard songs you don't always hear when out these days. I'd give zero stars if I could. We got onion rings as an appetizer. Huge order but about half were fried to a crisp with a lovely burned taste. Mom & I both ordered one of their craft burgers. They should be called cremated burgers. They were blackened & DRY! Our waiter contacted his manager & they said they would remake them. We asked to please make them medium as we were looking forward to having a nice juicy burger. The 2nd burger was just as bad as the 1st. Don't bother spending your $$$ here. Menu is overpriced & overcooked. Our server was a very nice young man that did an excellent job though... I gotta admit, the food here was great. When we walked in, we were seated quickly at a very small table. We asked if we could move to a booth to have more room, and at that point, our waitress was slow. She was just very slow and that was a little frustrating. We ordered some Strawberry and Mango Margaritas and the Triple Dipper to start. They couldn't even be bothered to mix the margarita flavoring into the frozen drink all the way and that was a little sad. We would get random sips of sweetness and random sips of nothing but tequila. That wasn't fun. I tried the Cowboy Burger and they forgot to put the A1 sauce on it. They also gave me THE tiniest, onion ring on my burger. You'd think since there's only one, they'd put a big one, but no. The Shrimp Alfredo was also super creamy and delicious. I've been to Teddy Jacks several times, but this is the first time I've reviewed it. To compare to other restaurants, Teddy Jack's is a nicer, a little more expensive Chili's. They have a very good variety of food from pizza, burgers, Mexican, pastas, seafood, and some more. There Pizza is very good. It's wood fire grill type place for Pizza. You can see them cooking it in the front corner. There are several options and all I've tried are good. It's like a personal or if compared to other commercial pizza places it's probably a "medium". There burgers and sandwiches are very good. I had the "mother clucker" it had 2 fried chicken breasts on it with lettuce, tomatoes, and honey mustard. It was good. Chicken was flavorful and it was a big meal! Everything I've had so far has been very good. There's a full bar and TVs and it's a neat atmosphere!
