I came into town to help my friend move in at tech. I have been to Woodrow's before but I wanted to give them a second chance especially when I heard there was going to be a midget wrestlin. I was excited about that cause I was out of town and I have been to one before at a different location. I went in and it was a disaster. the servers didn't approached my table with my friends, we waited for awhile. I decided to go the bar to get food and drinks. the drinks were terrible and the food was cold, I went to speak to a server to ask about talking to a manager. The manager at food window was not attentive or even cared about helping me. It was very frustrating and he was standing there not doing nothing the whole night. Just kind of a meh place here in Lubbock. However, it's very fitting for the college students and the sports-ball interested crowd. Tons of TVs everywhere, lots of standing-room-only tables. A lot of outdoor and bar games to play. It's a huge place and very loud - definitely not family friendly, so I'm not sure where other reviewers got that idea from. Also, parking is a nightmare and you will likely end up having to park in a neighboring business's lot. The orders for drinks and food are incredibly slow. Bartenders will straight up ignore you if you don't look or act a particular way, plus they're kind of dismissive and rude in demeanor when you do finally get service. It's all fit for a particular group of which I am not actually a member, it seems. But a friend wanted to visit for his birthday so I went to entertain his request. A group of 5 fifty something friends with 2 dogs driving from new mexico home to houston area needed a place to eat and have a drink or two at 930pm on a Monday in Lubbock. We happened upon Little Woodrows because they are open until 2am and pet friendly. How lucky were we?? Courtney took the best care of us! They have a slide. A very cool slide. Nick took great care of us as we slid down the slide! (Do the slide)! We had sliders and chicken wings, cocktails, cold beer and fantastic conversations with the staff. They brought water for the dogs and kept our drinks full. Now, it's a monday in july. It's quiet, big screen TV with baseball on, swings...and the slide. Highly recommend! read more

I travel a lot for business and without question this is the rudest bar in the country. Bartenders will completely ignore you and not serve you a drink I can't believe the management allows this attitude!!! Stopped by Little Woodrow's after my nephew's graduation. They are a great place for large groups to grab a drink. Food menu is small. They were not busy at 1:00 in the afternoon. Our server was friendly and attentive. I had ranch water and it was delicious and refreshing. The only bummer was that the slide wasn't open. Little Woodrow's exceeded every expectation I had for them upon arriving. The drinks were fairly priced (if they weren't free from my turtle winning their race) ((yes, they have turtle racing every Thursday night)), there was more than enough room to hang out and watch some sports on the big screen, and there were plenty of people working where it was not difficult to find assistance if needed. There was a slide out front you can't miss with all the lights on it (that was free to ride!) I can't speak on the food as we ate before we came, but the atmosphere was electric. I was there Saturday night for the ufc event with my dad and my friend, was cool until the next day when I discovered I was way over charged for stuff I did not order, I went up there and disputed the charges with them but they insisted they charged me correctly, wich they did not, I had a couple draft beers and a bucket, wich should have only been 37 dollars, when I checked my account I had a charge for 37 and a charge for 68 dollars, they are refusing to refund me and the manager even pulled up security footage of our waitress bringing my table a second bucket of beer, wich was not ordered by me but my dad, I was essentially charged for 3 buckets even though my table only received 2, my bank told me to contact them and dispute the charges becuase it was there fault for over charging me and I got nowhere with the manager, may need to take more serious action against the bar becuase I work really hard for my money and would never spend 100 dollars at any bar. read more

we went Friday, & had the WORST EXPERIENCE, We just got there from dallas, & were celebrating my husband birthday! We drove across town to come check this place out. The door person was very unfriendly. We were with our 18 year old daughter. He stated that she was not allowed to come in after 7. Worst service ever. Maybe it's a new concept where there are no waitresses (or adults in charge) but while a Monday evening meeting of what looked like waitresses was going on and ended, we sat waiting for someone to ask us if we wanted anything. When that meeting disbanded, I assumed they would hit the tables like a football team breaking huddle. Instead every one of them disappeared or went to the restroom or found a new table to sit at and drink bottled water and vape. It became a sociology experiment, and I think we were the subjects. "How long will two grown men take this abuse?" was the question. The answer is 20 minutes, because that's when we ordered at the bar. Burgers (not much of a menu) we're burned to a crisp. I was thrilled when I saw the post announcing they were "NOW OPEN" today at 12:34PM. I gathered the troops and we decided to meet. We showed up at 1:30 excited to check out the place. As soon as we walked into the front door (which was open with cars parked out front- everything indicating that it was open) a mustached guy behind the bar says, "We're not quite open yet!" I then asked confused, "When do you open?" He says, "at 2." An awesome interaction should have gone like this, "Hi, guys! Welcome! We officially open in 30 minutes, but we'll get you some waters while you take a look around. Make yourself at home." Instead, the guy told us to SCRAM! When people take the time to come to your place they are usually hungry or thirsty. It honestly didn't leave a good first impression. I reached out to Little Woodrow's and their response was a bit lackadaisical. They gave me their business hours (which were not posted on the door). I was kind of hoping for a heartwarming response like, "Hey, please give us another shot. We are working out our kinks." Something... you know... to express that they are ace at hospitality. For right now it's a 4. I hope to give them another shot. I ACTUALLY LOVE THAT IT's 21 and up ONLY Update: The place is GREAT. Great atmosphere, but you don't come her for the SERVICE. Two friends and I came here to drink before the Tech game on Saturday. I had never been but my friend recommended it because of how neat of a place it was. The atmosphere is great; lots of TVs, cool outdoor seating, outdoor games, mini arcade inside, and dogs are allowed! I docked a star because of the food. I got taquitos, chicken quesadillas and chips w/ queso for around $22, so I expected a decent amount of food. The chicken quesadillas were great and came with 4 squares, the taquitos were alright, and came with 3, and although the queso was good, we only got like half a cup of it. My friend also got some salsa, and it has to be the WORST salsa I've ever had, there's literally no spice to it whatsoever. We also got a beer bucket and while most places give you six beers in a bucket, they only give you five :/ Overall, it's a really cool place to hang out, but I wouldn't recommend coming here for the food. read more

Trying to watch Sunday NFL football? DONT come here. I came to watch my team and had to ask 5 times if they could change ONE tv to my football team and they said they couldn't. They then changed it so i could watch one quarter then switched it to another team at halftime and didn't put it back. WORST SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED. The absolute worst door service I have ever experienced in my life. Smug cocky, and completely unprofessional. Laughing and smirking trying to taunt my husband behind the managers back. We were there to meet our college kids after the Tech football scrimmage to eat but seemed to be targeted due to our age the minute we got out of our Uber and were told we could not go in. When questioned by my husband about why we couldn't go in the bouncer bowed up at my husband clinching his fist. They blamed it on the fact that my husband threw two beer cans away when we got there. Two 50 yr old completely sober adults not allowed in a college hang out with hundreds of drunk college kids. Unreal...:but not as unreal as the managers allowing the disrespect to go on even after we asked to speak to him. One of the guys at the door told my son after we left that my husband said "FU" to his face which is a complete lie. That is not anything that would come out of my husband's mouth even though he was very upset and appalled by the situation we were thrust into. Still in shock! I would love to have seen just one person be able to take charge in this situation and get things and people in check, talk through the situation, and solve a problem. What should have been a great night with big tips and fun for all ended in disbelief and complete distrust in this establishment. There needs to be a lesson taught on discretion and another on communication for the two guys at the front door. This establishment also need to be careful giving so much powet to these guys. I feel like there was a total abuse of position tonight at the front door by two guys that don't have the skill set necessary to do the job.
