A group of 5 fifty something friends with 2 dogs driving from new mexico home to houston area needed a place to eat and have a drink or two at 930pm on a Monday in Lubbock. We happened upon Little Woodrows because they are open until 2am and pet friendly. How lucky were we?? Courtney took the best care of us! They have a slide. A very cool slide. Nick took great care of us as we slid down the slide! (Do the slide)! We had sliders and chicken wings, cocktails, cold beer and fantastic conversations with the staff. They brought water for the dogs and kept our drinks full. Now, it's a monday in july. It's quiet, big screen TV with baseball on, swings...and the slide. Highly recommend!

The only correct charge of the night

I was there Saturday night for the ufc event with my dad and my friend, was cool until the next day when I discovered I was way over charged for stuff I did not order, I went up there and disputed the charges with them but they insisted they charged me correctly, wich they did not, I had a couple draft beers and a bucket, wich should have only been 37 dollars, when I checked my account I had a charge for 37 and a charge for 68 dollars, they are refusing to refund me and the manager even pulled up security footage of our waitress bringing my table a second bucket of beer, wich was not ordered by me but my dad, I was essentially charged for 3 buckets even though my table only received 2, my bank told me to contact them and dispute the charges becuase it was there fault for over charging me and I got nowhere with the manager, may need to take more serious action against the bar becuase I work really hard for my money and would never spend 100 dollars at any bar.

*this review is based off of a strictly alcohol based experience* Besides the cold wind, my experience at LW was wonderful! As a dog lover, I can't get enough of the fury little friends that liter the area! That with the beer and football ensured that I had a 5 out of 5 time at Little Woodrow's!

I just went to order a burger and fries to take home after work…read more I sat at the bar top to order to go, and I had a tall beer as I waited. The burger took 25 minutes. I figured thats why it was so dry. Because it was done very WELL. I asked to have it a little pink, not so DONE! Then she asked if I wanted all the vegetables....I guess that just meant the piece of lettuce, a tomato slice and two onion pieces. I told her I wanted mayo and ketchup only. I found like 3 packets of mustard, mayo, and ketchup in the bag! So, are we to not only pay & tip them, but we are to put our own burger together? The only thing good was the fries (although a little too salty)....and the very OVERCOOKED burger. No wonder irs a bar, you need to drink all that beer to wash down the DRY OVERCOOKED BURGER PATTY! NOT IMPRESSED. Its just a burger and a "show" kind of place. Twin Peaks has a much better burger than this place! Even Burger King has better burgers...save your money, don't go here unless you just need to boost your ego, (I mean, its your tip, for the view)...lol Dry burgers. Get rid of the cook!

There being about 20-25 people there, how was our meal prepared with no culinary attention to detail? For example: my wife ordered the chicken fried steak, mash potatoes and salad. Her steak was so "bland and lukewarm" that it literally removed all sensitivity of taste from our tongues..., no seasoning or flavor whatsoever. On our drive home that's all me talked about. Mash potatoes were likewise "lukewarm and bland"..., then factor in the gravy..., exactly the same. Her plate obviously sat at the window too long or perhaps her food was simply "sitting there" waiting for us to order it. Her salad: there was nothing "green" about it, it was "all the white stalks" of the lettuce, literally 4 olives, a sprinkle of shredded cheese, 3 half slices of tomatoes with "gigantic croutons (that was interesting)". My "blackened chicken salad"..., salad was the same as my wife's; double-dang because I love salads and being type 2 diabetic and having high blood pressure this would have been the perfect meal for me. HOWEVER; the chicken was the worst ever because it was saltier-than-a-1820's-sailor..., horrible..., and drier than a camel's hump in the Sahari. I never knew that a chicken breast could be abused like that on purpose. So, how does such a nice looking place sell someone "absolutely ridiculously horrible food".

Listen up, this place is new (opened late Nov 2024) so they are still working out the kinks. I say this because there are two reviews on this place that mention negative things. IMHO I think thus far they are excelling and will only get better and better. We need to give them grace as they learn and grow. ***So please READ MY REVIEW and ignore the 1 stars.*** The food we ordered was tasty, affordable and came out quickly. Drinks for the entire table were on point. Shout out to Chet who will gladly curate a drink for you if you are not sure what you want. Oh and did I mention 237 is located inside? 237 is Speakeasy located inside of Soggy Dog (at this time 237 is open Thur-Sat nights). 237 has it's own vibe and drink menu. PRO TIP: Enter Soggy Dog through either of the double set of metal doors. Yes you are at the right place. I will take pictures of the entrance on my next visit.

The chips and queso were an appetizer but came out with the rest of the food. Queso was extremely burned so I asked for it to be removed from the ticket; instead, they replaced it with spicy broccoli cheese soup. Okra and fries were not cooked all the way through; seems hard to mess up food service frozen food, but here we are. The hot chicken sandwich was made with chicken so tough I couldn't cut it. The hot sauce was nice, the salsa was decent. My giant mug of beer was flat but at least it was cold. Overall: poor food, slow service. Was hoping for better.

When we walked in on May 19, 2026, the place was not too busy at around noon. Right away I noticed low lighting. Cool alternative, rock, and old R&B music playing in the background. A full bar. Pinball machines for tables. Lots of nostalgia in this place! Restroom was mostly clean. The food was okay. I wish there was a bit more flavor to everything. My daughter agreed. + The Damned Dog ($11) "All beef frank, house beef chili, cheddar, diced onions, and jalapeno crispies." This was good but the frank and chili needed more flavor. I opted for a side of house-made vegan potato salad (additional $1.50) instead of potato chips which really good. + The Sourpuss ($12) "Bratwurst, sauerkraut, pickle slice, crushed salt & vinegar chips, and queso fresco." My daughter enjoyed this with ketchup and mustard added and a side of smoked gouda mac. That mac was very tasty. We also noticed how crisp and spicy our Sprite and Dr. Peppers were. Loved that. I'd definitely go back again for a drink and maybe a sandwich next time. Ample lot parking.
