I've known about this place forever. I've had their food a few times as a kid but I've had it a lot more over the last year since this has been a new favorite spot to go when my family takes our grandmother out to dinner. The prices are pretty fair, and the restaurant itself is nice but not too fancy, you can dress up a little or dress casual, your call. They start off the meal by bringing out their famous garlic knots, which are great. They aren't over the top garlicy, and I like that, and they're also not drenched in butter or oil, they have a very clean texture with a nice flavor. The salads are ok, nothing out of the ordinary. I've tried the fried gnocchi appetizer and it was pretty good, they just kinda come out tasting like bread but they toss them in seasoned oil and give you tomato sauce to dip them in. In all honesty, while they are good, if you're already eating garlic knots then these aren't really needed in the meal. I've had 3 chicken entrees here. The chicken parm was decent, the spaghetti sauce on it is a little sweet and works well with the dish. The amaretto chicken was awesome, I loved it. It was a creamy sauce with the sweetness of almond extract added to it and there were also walnuts in the dish. The chicken was breaded nicely and it was very enjoyable. It's a tough call as to which I liked better, this or the chicken belize. the chicken belieze is part of their scorcher menu. It's pretty much fettuccine alfredo with sliced habanero mixed into the sauce with a chicken cutlet on top, and while it sounds simple, the flavor was great. I'm not too much of a pepperhead, but this was right at the boarder of the amount of heat I could handle, I was fighting it a little bit, but it was a welcomed fight. This place seems to be known for their pizza, and while it's pretty solid I don't feel that the sauce they use works well for pizza. the crust and cheese were very good, but the seasoning in the sauce seemed to work better for spaghetti than it does for pizza. The wings I got with it were good but nothing I haven't had before. They were just medium buffalo, so I'd like to try some of their more unique flavors. So far I've never had bad service. Usually we are in and out within an hour. One time I think one of the servers was a little slow, but when I was here on mother's day the server we had was great. I didn't catch her name but she seemed to be in her early 20's, she was brunette and she was efficient and friendly, she did a great job, she kept up with the drink refills very well for our large party. The food here is terrific and varied but the service, when we visited, was mysteriously very slow. It is a decent sized venue and we were one of only three tables (one of which was a single person). None of us ordered anything special/off the menu, there was not a lot of take out custom, it was 2:00 in the afternoon - the delay had no observable cause whatsoever. Hopefully these folks can address the pace of the service, then this spot would deserve five stars. read more

Every couple of months when we visit my daughter my husband and I stop at Tedeschi's. It's one of the best restaurants in the 12 hour commute between here and South Carolina. The food is absolutely fantastic: the menu is enormous and the portions are huge. Authentic Italian dishes are complimented by all house-made sauces, home-made bread and dough, as well as home-made lasagna and meatballs. Never had a problem with the waitstaff either. Their manager is super friendly and polite. We've eaten here when there was only one waitress on during a busy lunch shift and we still had excellent customer service. She was on top of things, personable, and professional. We recommend this place to all of our traveling friends. P.S.: Don't be put-off by the "truck stop-esque" surroundings! The plaza this gem is located in may not seem promising at the beginning, but I promise it's definitely worth it! read more

Too bad I couldn't give this place zero stars. ordered a steak Stromboli it cost $20. Drove 15 minutes to get there, 15 minutes back home to find out they gave me the wrong Stromboli. I called & they said to bring it back & they will have a new steak Stromboli there for me. 15 minutes there & 15 minutes back, I am now at an hours driving time, I get home & the steak stromboli isn't cooked through. Raw dough is mixed in with the steak. Yuck! I called them back again & told them I wanted my money back & they refused. Said they will put my name in the book so the next time I eat there they do something for me. Why would I eat there again? Stay away, service is poor, employees are rude & the food is sub par. You lost me as a customer & I hope whoever reads this review decides to eat elsewhere. read more

I go to Tedeschis a few times a year while visiting from out of town, since it is the nicest place in town...which isn't saying much. The food is decent for the price but service is terrible. They just don't know the basics of customer service. Despite being one of only two tables, it took 5 minutes just to get drinks. In the mean time we didn't even have menus. We walked in about 15 of us and from the get go you could tell we were unwanted. I think the manager may have waited us and you'd think he'd be more than accommodating-not the case. We tried to put two tables together so we weren't all sitting 20 feet apart, however that was too much of a hassle for our dear friend. read more

Needed a place to stop right off 81 on the way back to NYC. Expectations were low as we were in the middle of nowhere but WOW this restaurant was awesome. Portions are big, food fantastic. Will always make a stop here going forward! read more

Found this place on Yelp while heading north on 81 because of the easy on easy off the highway. We had the homemade soup and salad. The Italian wedding soup was definitely homemade and the salad had nice mixed greens. Good fast service got us back on the road quickly. read more

Well sorry to do this BUT... I have been going to Tedeschi's for years, Began around the time they opened in fact. Originally yes this was Great quality food with good portions and service that made for a family feeling atmosphere which made for many fond memories. But these days are past now or i don't warrant the same care my family received in the past. My wife and i went there @ 2pm for lunch, simple enough but a nice treat for us as we rarely get to do such things. We ordered a couple of their specialty sandwiches and what i received was miles short of what i had expected. If you enjoy a large portion of bread with as much sauce on the outside as in with very little actual ingredients then this is the place for you, and oh yes don't forget your handful of 99 cent potato chips! but wait I'm not just reviewing portions compared to the 20 dollars + tip i spent for two pieces of bread and water and tea. The service was friendly and prompt i can say that for them but after discussing which patron i was in the kitchen, they became very indifferent to the fact i was leaving almost as hungry as i had come. Not one to cause a big fuss I'm afraid I have walked out for the last time. Thanks for the memories, but from now on when eating out ill go where I can be taken care of properly and receive a good lunch or dinner for a fair price. read more
