Very friendly staff ,the kind that greets you. Great food , great location…read more I went in expecting a chill lunch to have with my cousin and left questioning every life decision that didn't involve eating there sooner. I'm already planning my next visit, and yes, I will be pretending to care about my cousin's updates just to get back there. Love her... but those wings? Strong competition. So let's talk about the hot wings. BABY. These wings didn't come to play at all ,they came to ruin my loyalty to every other wing I've ever had .Crispy, juicy, and covered in a sauce so good I considered stopping back bag on the way home . Their hot wings, they gave them a purpose in life. I took one bite and started sweating like I just got called in traffic court. Heart racing, palms sticky, but instead of stressing out ,It was just me whispering, "Yessss, worth it." Now the garlic knots... whew. Calling them "knots" is disrespectful and honestly a little insulting. These were fluffy, buttery clouds of garlic happiness. And that garlic oil at the bottom?? Oh, we were not acting civilized. I was dipping, double-dipping, contemplating drinking it straight--judge me if you want, I've made peace with who I am. At some point I definitely blacked out because the basket was full one second and gone the next. No witnesses. No regrets. And the pizza... okay, listen. I'm from Long Island, so I come with strong opinions and unnecessary confidence about pizza. Also, I'm more of a garlic-knot girl. BUT,I'll give credit where it's due. The crust had that crispy-chewy combo going on like it knew I was ready to judge it. It held its own. I respect it. By the end of the meal, I was full, emotional, and about 10 minutes away from proposing to the chef with a garlic knot as the ring. This isn't just food--it's a life event. A spiritual experience. A reminder that carbs are not the enemy... they're family. 10/10. Would risk garlic breath, social embarrassment, and wasting my cousin's time again.

The Green Gables is a very unique and interesting place. It's been in business for 100 years,…read moreoriginally as a gas station and roadside eatery. It still has that kind of vibe. I've seen a billboard on I81 for this place for over 50 years but never had the opportunity to visit. I did recently and boy was it fun. It still has a roadside ambiance which I really like. There's a shuffleboard table in the bar area with lots of locals playing on it The food is good honest comfort food with an American/Italian theme. The service is super and inviting. I ate at the bar and the drinks are inexpensive as is the food. This is a great stop and I highly recommend it!

PHENOMENAL FIND! The place has been here almost 100 years…read morebut was originally a gas station. The bar was full of locals having a good time, while a party was going on in the other room. We had to use the restrooms to wash up before dinner, though old, the single men's and women's bathroom was impeccably clean. Our soda and water were served in mason jars with a nice slice of lemon. The menu was pretty big and there's something for everyone. We decided on mozzarella sticks with a very delicious marinara sauce. My husband order a good looking cheeseburger with curly fries, while I opted for the fried haddock dinner, which was served with both tartar and cocktail sauces, another beautiful lemon garnish, a baked potato and the most amazing carrots!!! I'm not a fan of carrots and was a little disappointed to see them on my plate BUT after tasting them, I literally gobbled them all up. Stop into this place, you won't be disappointed!

One Hawaiian pizza (my favorite style when I am not making it myself) and boneless Buffalo wings, which we went to pick up. His Jeep smelled great on the drive back home! The pizza was good. It wasn't the best pizza I have ever had, but it was above average. There were plenty of toppings including ham that tasted like more than pink squares. The pineapple was good too, and not too much to make the pizza soggy. The best part was the sauce though. It was spicy and hot. I don't know if they used their regular tomato sauce or something zippy for the Hawaiian pizza but I really appreciated what it brought. I like spicy sauce with this type of pizza but sadly most places don't do it this way. The boneless Buffalo wings were good too. Some pieces were really big, some really really small, but all tasted like good Buffalo sauce. They weren't too hot (spice wise) but he may have ordered them mild. A couple of hours after sitting on his table in their styrofoam box (don't judge...) they still were tasty. I can see ordering from here again in the future.
