Family meal - someone ordered the clam chowder.. tasteless.. I ordered breakfast, the toast was cold and had a ton of butter lathered on it that didn't melt cause of the cold toast, hash browns weren't even cooked.. someone else ordered the pancakes and he said they didn't even taste good - my daughter orders breakfast and told our waitress on the hash browns, could she please make sure they aren't under cooked or over cooked please.. they came barely cooked, she sent them back and they came back over cooked and her toast was all buttered up and cold.. worse meal we have had - we will be going someplace else next time to have breakfast... totally lousy food! read more

My husband and I eat here at least once a week, usually on Sundays for their breakfast. They have the best biscuits and gravey around.

Sub-par food. Do NOT think about working here. Manager and Store Owner are VERY rude and arrogant with little pay.

We just ordered 8 coneys and a large chili fry from here and none of it was good. There was barely any chili on any of the hotdogs. Just the top of the bun and the fries were cold with a small amount of chili and cheese for almost $30. I've gotten food from here and the one in Richmond before. Food was okay, nothing to wow you over. Bacon was limp (i hate that), but they had American fries and those are the best, especially with Franks Red Hot all over them. Ham was okay, sausages were okay, eggs were cooked perfect. Dissapointed with the blueberry pancakes, cold almost frozen bluberries sprinkled ontop instead of a puree or sauce. Another thing that really sucked, no refills on beverages. Restuants up here are really stingy, how do you not offer free refills? If I wanted that kind of service I would go eat in Canada. I would understand if your prices reflected that, but they do not, so stop being so cheap. read more

We love this place. We come here every year to visit and make this our to go to place. The chili cheese fries with extra chili is soo good. Also, their cookies and cream pie is delicious if you are craving something sweet. All the servers are happy, friendly and so patient. We came in as a large party of 17 and all the waitresses accommodated us. The kids were spilling drinks and our one waitress kept that smile on her face and never complained. She ran to get some towels to help clean it up. Can't wait to come back every year!! read more

Not sure I'll be returning after our experience this past weekend. Went to dinner around 6pm. I ordered my little one a coke aka I was asked if Pepsi was ok. I agreed. I ordered a grilled chicken Caesar salad , Drinks came out and food. We didn't notice since the little ones drink was in a styrofoam cup, they had bought him Chocolate Milk which he has a diary allergy . My Salad was wrong but I didn't complain about that since it was just a chicken mix up. But when we found out about the milk I was upset & there was no apology. When you enter this restaurant, you will notice the very filthy door. It has built up grime from the other patron's hands. When you touch this, your hands are now part of this grime. Be sure to cover your hand with your jacket of shirt if you go. The food at Ted's is typical diner style food, and a lot of it is deep fried. Their staple item is a coney island hotdog. It sells for 99 cents on Monday and Tuesdays. The chili sauce on these contains no meat, and is sometime sour tasting. The onion rings have a major greasy taste to them, but the fries are pretty good. The prices are pretty good, and they do serve a pretty good breakfast. The waitresses are usually very fast and friendly and know the menu well. They have drive up ordering, so you don't have to get out of your car to order, and you can call ahead. The men's bathroom has a unclean smell to it, and should be cleaned more often. Overall, the food isn't that bad, but the dirty entrance door, and the smelly bathroom brings this rating down. read more

Have been to Ted's many times over the years. This particular location does not appear to be suffering, but for my money, I will head to Nick's Four Roses (not on Yelp yet) down the street. Typically, I have an omelet or coney dogs - very typical for this sort of food, nothing outstanding or really wrong with it. Service is generally pretty standard for this type of diner. Not overly friendly, but not rude or inconsiderate either. In general, middle of the road on food, service, and price is good. read more

This place is pretty popular in town. In general, they have decent food. It's a great place for coney dogs. Maybe it's because I am local but I prefer getting coneys there more than than I did American or Lafayette when I worked in Detroit. Mostly because the clientele is more calm in town. But overall it is standard diner food. Burgers are ok, sandwiches are ok. I like the chicken pita delite and their omelettes. I am not too comfortable in the booths so don't go too often. Plus it is too crowded much of the time and hard to find a good parking spot. It's usually a place I go to with others. I can say the staff are very friendly overall when I go despite being as busy as they are. And I believe it's the owner's son that often is at the register and he is nice. Desserts are ok. Compared to the American and Nick's, the service is good but the food is not as tasty to me. But I go back for the breakfast and the coneys, which on Tuesdays are only 99 cents as well as throughout February. I really wish the dining room got a makeover as the decor is looking old and the seating is not that comfortable. I am large, though I have lost quite a bit of weight. It's hard to get into the booths so when it is possible I get a table. Try the pitas, salads, omelettes and coneys when you go. read more

Went here with friends and family while visiting our former hometown. We had a large party and they were very accommodating to us and friendly. We all enjoyed our food it was good and served fast. The kids in our party got pancakes even at supper time making them content. My only complaint was that I ordered cheese on my coney dog and I expected shredded cheddar cheese like every other restaurant would serve but they just cut up a slice of processed American cheese and melted it on top! The food is always delicious and freshly made to order and hot when it's brought to the table. The staff are ALWAYS very nice and attentive to what ever we need. Wait staff is generally friendly. Cleanliness is good. Food is not fantastic. Cesar wrap is ok. Good bean soup. But items such as the steaks consistently lack flavor. Menu is very heavy on the carbs and very low on vegetables. I have 6 kids, and their kids menu has something they all like. Deserts are not "great" but solidly good and good selection. However, cook/management would not allow me to make a reasonable substitution - take away potatoes and roll from a dish and give me a single serving of "seasonal veggies" nor would they allow me to order a side of veggies. Breakfast foods are generally good, but if you want something with veggies AND meat, be prepared to start getting creative, ordering sides, and preparing the final stages of your meal yourself. Beer is available. Probably a good thing too - maybe a few would improve your experience... Overall, I only go here if I have to. read more

I went here last night with my boyfriend. After I spent 18 dollars on a few coneys fries and soup, I was disappointed. The fries were so incredibly soggy and cold. What did you do, toss them in the microwave for five seconds? Absolutely terrible and cold. Then the waitress threw the coneys on a sheet of paper after handling money not washing her hands. I could barely eat it without it slopping all over me. Not to mention the place was dirty. I can understand if its tracked in from snow and salt but at least spot mop your floors and wipe down counters while you are dead. Always be cleaning! Never again will I take up my business with them. The waitress had an extreme unfriendly attitude. I thought the food would make up for the sour attitude but I guess not. I work hard for my money and I want a decent meal with that. My boyfriend said the place was much more better then usual. Very disappointed :( read more
