Our Audi A6 was involved in a hit and run where the front passenger door sustained a large dent and scratch to the paint. A co-worker recommended Ted's Dent Works and I couldn't be more pleased. I brought my car in for a quote and Chaz looked over the damage before providing me a quote. They were extremely patient with all of my questions over text and arranging for a convenient time for me to drop off the car for repairs. As you can see from the photos (before and after images), there was significant damage. The damage was enough to have caused a fairly sharp edge that cracked the paint and the location around the door handle made it more difficult to repair. Upon picking up the car, it was amazing how the door was essentially returned to its original condition, especially within the 10 hrs they quoted. Chaz really worked some magic and it's clear these guys are masters of the art. He really took the time to get it right which I appreciated. I would highly recommend anyone to check them out at their Livermore location. I just bought a 2022 BMW 7 Series and realized the right side had more dents than I originally thought, including a tough one on the hood. I ended up getting about 10 different opinions from dent repair and body shops. A lot of them were all over the place--some felt they could fix it, others were quoting really high prices and suggesting more involved work. What stood out with Ted was his confidence from the start. I told him I was still going to shop around, and he encouraged it--but he also spoke with a level of certainty that stuck with me. I heard of Ted from other Tesla owners who suggested him. Tesla use of aluminum panels, which is a whole different ball game from other cars, although not unique and I have another PDR guy suggest me to take it to the Tesla Service Center via the App because they can't fix it. I messaged Ted (please follow the instructions on the website) and he responded the same day and I made an appointment the same day and I met with Chad and I showed him a dent on my hood. He said doable and I showed his other dents than I accumulated from the very kind and honest people in the Bay Area (no thanks by the way) and Chad also fixed it on the same appointment. Ted is the best PDR team in the Bay Area for sure. Chad is a wizard. I have dents that I can see but I literally have to point out to other people. But Chad can see them on the spot. This is a trait of a good PDR guy. I would recommend Ted and team again. Ted and team work out of RJ's paint shop. They also have a very nice waiting room with a big TV and some nice chairs. If your damage can be fixed w/ PDR (paintless dent repair) this is the guy to go to. PDR is much more affordable and uses the cars own paint so it looks better than trying to match new paint on old. I was responsible for damage to an another persons car and wanted to get it fixed. I shopped around and showed a few companies pictures of the damage. A guy who does PDR himself (with strong yelp reviews) recommended Ted and said he's the best guy for this job due to his ability to handle more complex situations. I contacted Ted and explained the situation and he was totally cool with having the other party bring the car down for an estimate and me paying the bill - all along the way communicating with me really well. RETURN CUSTOMER Ted is a skilled professional journeymen with decades of auto body repair experience. About eight years ago I had parked my custom painted 2007 Ford Mustang near a tree for the shade. As I opened the driver's door, the strong wind ripped the door handle out of my grip, so the door flew all the way open. The door hit the tree causing a large vertical dent. Ted fixed it with his special bag of tools as if the damage had never happened. What an awesome job Ted did. Recently my 2022 GMC Yukon Denali ended up with about six superficial door dings over a course of about four months. On a black paint job I could see the dents from a distance of 25'-30' away. Ted is a miracle worker! He just fixed what is supposed to be a body shop job and somehow did an "undo" on a big dent on my new SUV. He proved he has the masterful skills, expertise, and craftmanship that he is advertising. Here is what happened: What do you do when a teenager you know, a very good and stand up kid, accidentally backs up to your 3 month old SUV? And it happened because he was helping a friend innocently. It was a pitch black night and not a lot of lighting in the parking lot. It was an honest accident. He started apologizing profusely. I was dying inside. I am sure he was too. If I were in his shoes, when I was that age, I would be dead to my parents! I flashed a light around the damaged area. I thought it was just a bad dent and the paint was not damaged. I got a paintless dent repair done 4 years ago, so I knew a guy. I gulped and told the boy, don't worry about it right now. Immediately I was frantically looking for the guy who PDRed my old vehicles. After I contacted the paintless dent repair (PDR) guy I knew and sent him pictures, my heart sunk when he told me he cannot do the repair. He said the door panels are impossible. I asked my paint protection film (PPF) guy if he can recommend other dent repair shops or body shops. He told me the dent needed to be done by a body shop since it is too big. Somehow as I was searching for his recommended body shop I saw Ted's Dent Work. I started reading reviews and I thought, why not check it out. So before I left the house to get body shop estimates I went to Ted's website and inquired. I went to two body shops to get estimates. They were expensive repairs. They pointed out the door has to be replaced, the fender needs to be fixed and the paint has to be matched. The sensors possibly needs recalibration.
