5 stars for Bob purely based on honesty, professionalism, kindness and customer service. I reached out regarding damage on my salvaged VW CC after a hit-and-run from an unregistered RV. Bob gave me a realistic quote, but more importantly, he took the time to genuinely guide me instead of just trying to sell me on expensive work that didn't make financial sense for my situation. Even though I'm probably not going through the full body shop route, he still went out of his way to explain my options, educate me on the differences between body work vs PDR, referred me to someone he trusted, and even personally vouched for me and texted the guy on my behalf trying to help me out. That level of kindness and authenticity is rare these days. You can tell Bob genuinely cares about people and takes pride in doing things the right way. If you want an experience where the body shop damages your vehicle and completely denies any responsibility, a constant hassle of them saying your car is complete only for you to find that it's not, and for the timeline to be quadrupled then Bob's Bridge is the shop for you! The biggest problem is that they damaged my vehicle. No question about it. You can see the before and after pics with dates. My car had a small chip in the middle before the service but no chip on the left side. I know they damaged it because how I got the chip that in the first place because I slammed the trunk hard, thus chipping the glass. And this body work included fixing the trunk not able to close properly, so I'm positive they slammed the trunk thus chipping the glass in a different area. After telling Boris about the damage he completely denied responsibility and he has a way of not saying he won't pay for it, but rather pushing that issue to the side and saying we'll let's finish your body job and then maybe we can discuss the damage issue. But when the job was done I said he would need to compensate for the job and he said he's not paying anything. His defense was saying they don't work on glass so it's impossible for them to have caused the issue. But as I mentioned above, the chip likely came from somebody slamming the trunk. Additionally, Boris told me my car was done 6 times (yes, six!!!) when every time it was not. I don't live in Fremont so each time I had to drive to 45+ minutes, or waste money on Uber/Bart just to find out that the car needs to remain in the shop for further work. This is due to their poor craftmanship. You can see in the pics that they wanted me to pick my car up when there was damage on the bumper, poor paint job on the rear tailgate that made it red (they were so cheap on the job that they got aftermarket parts, so I didn't realize that they got a tailgate from a red tesla and painted it grey , which I never agreed to at the beginning of the job), sensors not being reinstalled, and the brake light was not installed correctly. Still, after taking it back 6 times, although most of the redness is gone there are still minor scratches that were never there before the accident. Boris has hung up on my phone calls so despite their "warranty" I'm not even able to go back there again so I'm just going to have to deal with it. The weirdest part about this whole experience was that one of the 6 times they said my car was complete they put on bumpers that had no holes for the sensors. So basically the tesla drove like a normal car without being able to detect what's in front or behind it. I still have no clue why they would do this?!?! Why would you put on the wrong car parts?? I told them to keep it in the shop but they insisted that I take my car because it would take a week for them to get the parts, paint them, put the sensors in, etc etc. Of course this took 2.5 weeks instead of 1 and then he didn't fix the sensor problem so I had to drive out again and wait another week. Ugh. It was such a hassle. And of course Boris was claiming that he had nothing to do with the sensors being a problem that they caused . Really Boris? The sensors were fine before I took it into your shop so please explain that one to me . Lastly, they said this job would take 1.5-2.5 weeks. It took 2 MONTHS. Yes, 2 months. And still my car has scratches and the windshield chip I mentioned. Not to mention I had to pay 100% of the cost up front which is extremely sketchy. Body shops only require 50% up front at most to buy parts. They claim that I had to do that because they gave me a good deal. I don't buy that one bit. Be weary they will also want you to Zelle so you can't dispute the charge!! I disputed the charge but unfortunately lost. I will be taking Bob's Bridge Collision Center to small claims court to recover the cost of them damaging my rear windshield. Avoid this shop at all costs and don't make the mistake that I did. This business has had my car since July 2025. Similar to the other negative reviews, they gave an inaccurate estimate for when the repairs would be completed, and failed to return phone calls or proactively provide updates. Throughout September-December of 2025, every 2 weeks the owner Boris would claim he could complete the repairs, but would not actually complete the repairs. In March 2026 I reported them to the Bureau of Automotive Repairs where Boris agreed to complete the repairs and return my car. He signed an agreement with the representative. It is now August of 2026, my car is still not in working condition. He has not called me once this year. He still has my car. This is an absolute nightmare of a situation, where the people in this business could not show even the slightest sense of responsibility to give me an update on the condition of my car. Not really sure what more is to say about this place, other than to try to warn others about the type of people who work here. read more

I have not gotten any body work done at Bridge, but had a great experience communicating with Bob. Bob responded to my quote request quickly on a Sunday afternoon and quickly responded to my follow up questions. Friendly guy. He was helpful with his diagnosis after looking at the photos I sent and recommended the Paintless Dent Repair option, and a PDR shop that he had good experience with. He could have steered me towards traditional repair and paint option, which his shop could have earned business from. If I need a body work completed, I think I will check with these guys first. Mistakenly scratched my car on a pillar... it was pretty bad! Bob's Bridge had the best price and turnaround time, so I decided to come here to fix my car. All the questions I had were answered and Boris was confident he could fix my car without replacement parts. There was an unfortunate delay due to making sure the work was perfect, which I didn't mind too much, as long as the work got done well. I was updated along the way and everyone was transparent about every stop of the process. Also had a minor imperfection afterwards that I will be going in for (for no extra charge). I came here after a rear-end accident and went through yelp to search for a place. I'm so glad I went to Bob's Bridge not only because of the repair but also the service. They have been so responsive on yelp messages and have been giving me updates throughout the repair process. Boris does great work and even color matched my paint that had small glitter in it. The service was also great as they were able to drop off my car in San Jose as well. 2nd visit: I came back to check my car a month after getting it back because the taillights were out and thought that something was missed during the repair. Not only were they responsive but they were also apologetic and looked at my car the next day. While it was a loose part and also bad bulbs, Boris and team fixed my car no questions asked. Take your business elsewhere, especially if the knee jerk reaction is to ATTACK than rectify and admit wrong!! They also took down the open yelp replies arguing about the review and inferring, I am a liar and terrible person. Guess what, you still wrote it directly to me via Yelp app. That isn't something you can take back. My car sat in a lot outside of his house for 2 weeks without being worked on. I saw it being driven to his shop, home, and his "paint" booth at least x3 times in Hayward saying it couldn't get it painted on the days I saw it driven. I had to contact through Yelp to get updates and whoever does not communicate with Boris, because he was clueless about what was written to me. He tried to say he tried calling multiple time but, called the wrong number and confused a 4 for a 9. WTF. The day I picked up my car, the front was covered bird s*** and found an ant crawling in my car. The tank was near empty with gas light and check engine light on and he said he filled it up with $15 worth of gas, IT'S A TRUCK. I had to fill up my car immediately after getting it. I rarely leave reviews, but my experience here was so frustrating that I feel the need to share it with people considering going to this shop and might probably even learn from it. First of all their's lack of communication, no updates whatsoever. When asked how long should I expect the car to be done, he said 1 week it should be ready (Sarcastically said and laughing, "I know you miss your car, next week it will be done"). Sir, I'm just asking for a timeframe so I know what to expect as I need my vehicle for commute. But anyway, I called a week later to follow up, nothing was done. They said insurance didn't process the estimate. When initially, they said they will take care of the whole process once the car is in the shop, that it will only take 5-7 days versus 2 weeks. Then I waited another week (week 2), that's when they finally got the approval. Then I waited another week for them to do the actual repairs (week 3). My car sat in a shady, dirty lot for about 3 weeks while waiting to get repaired, and when I finally got it back, it was covered in dust and filth. If I had drop off my car on the same day I contacted them, I probably would have waited for a month to get my car back for a fender repair. It's frustrating to wait 3 weeks for my car as I use this as my commute to work. The owner is difficult to talk to, he's stubborn, dismissive, and unwilling to take responsibility for the damage that they caused while repairing my car. It might be small but it's not acceptable. He denied causing it, but the damage was absolutely not there before. Instead of fixing the problem, he argued and refused to acknowledge it, fine! but as a person who likes to keep my car in perfect shape, I will always know that there is an imperfection in that area, another thing to add to my frustration. For Tesla owners: beware. He claimed he could source parts in-house, but instead tried to use aftermarket from eBay. I asked him to make sure the parts are OEM. He stated that the one he bought didn't fit. Said something about him getting the wrong part or year or something idk. I didn't even bother arguing as I would just waste my breath and just really tired of waiting. But why would it not fit if you bought OEM. I thought he would just get it from Tesla initially. Then he went to Tesla anyway and charged ME for the parts instead of him paying for it since he will receive the payment from the insurance check anyway then the shop should be dealing with the discrepancy with the cost with the insurance if there are any. Tesla closed the claim and never sent me the reimbursement check (which is an insurance issue that I have to deal with now). This is my fault for trusting them. I should've gone elsewhere closer to home but I trusted this shop because they make it seem like a smooth experience for me. My experience with this whole process was stressful and frustrating. Overall amazing service. I got in a car accident coming up i5, and there were probably over a dozen major parts damaged or missing. I called Boris on a Sunday when he's normally closed, but he picked up the phone and told me to come in within an hour. Boris inspected the car and gave an eyeball estimate less than what the final estimate turned out to be, yet he still only charged the original estimate at a discounted price without me even asking. The pricing was fair and likely better than other shops around, especially considering the damage to my car. It was clear he tried to find the best quality parts at the best price.
