Stepped in twice here for a late night beer with friends. Great atmosphere. Very relaxed, great decor, good selection of beers. Plenty of seating indoors and some seating on the street. A little out of the main hustle and bustle of downtown which is nice. I definitely see myself going back here to sip on a beer and relax. There's at least two parking garages nearby with one a short walk to the bar and many other shops/bars around. Also great outdoor area and dog friendly. We finally decided to try Most Best when some friends from Texas came in to visit for Spring Break. Holy cow! What took us so long?! The goat cheese is laced with crack, I'm sure of it. There's no other explanation as to why I crave it. That first trip, I had the meatball sub. On a second trip with just my husband, we split a calzone. About my only complaint is that the tomato sauce (on both the meatball sub and the bowl they give you for dipping the calzone) is fairly bland and very runny. Otherwise, the portions are good and the rest of the dishes are full of flavor. The beer selection is lovely and I enjoy a good pint of Loose Cannon or Hoegaarden. The $1 PBRs are quite attractive, too. The best time to go is about an hour to an hour and a half before sunset. Kick back on the patio and just enjoy the good atmosphere and great food. read more

I come here often. Tonight which is Halloween. It seems that the staff thinks it's a giggle party. Non stop giggling and sitting at the bar seats. Super annoying. If I owned the restaurant I would prefer them not annoy the customers and maybe start cleaning the bits of trash on the floor... perhaps ask to take my plates.? Hmmm. I never thought I would say this about a pizza place (hey pizza's usually not that interesting to me) but I think Ted's Most Best might be my new favorite restaurant in Athens. The "ambiance" is pretty okay inside, but the outside seating is where it's at. A lot of love went into the creative landscaping in the outside seating area and it has a great feel. Ted's is kid friendly, dog friendly, AND there is a bocce ball court! Mostly I have been too hooked on the arugula pizza for a lot of menu experimentation, but I have yet to dine with someone who didn't love their pizza and the daily special pizzas are always exciting, creative, and well executed. All of the salads here are incredible, with tasty goat cheese and lightly candied walnuts, but the beet salad is my favorite. I LOVE BEETS SO MUCH! I am a hearty eater and a salad and pizza at Ted's are more than even I can handle for dinner. As I am not a fan of leftover pizza (even when it's delicious Ted's Most Best pizza), I usually order a salad and then get someone to split a pizza with me. That way I get enjoy two delicious menu items and maybe even a dessert. Also, the red pepper flakes on the tables are really nice. I feel like a lot of pizza places have those red pepper flakes that are lighter colored and have a lot of seeds. The service is competent and friendly. Food arrives quickly, but without the feeling that you are being rushed. Last time I was in Ted's, I was visiting with an out of town friend and ended up staying, chatting and nursing one of their tasty desserts, long after we finished our main course. Having waited tables I know how irritating it can be when customers hang around indefinitely after their meal is long gone. Granted the place was not at capacity, but our server was incredibly nice and laid back about our hanging around, occaisionally refilling our drinks but otherwise leaving us be... and this at a place with a communal tip jar (as we tipped when we ordered there really wasn't any monetary incentive). I am not a wine drinker, but the beer list here is lovely. Ted's is open for lunch and dinner everyday and closes around 10pm (I'd double-check that). They take cards and are wheelchair accessible, and have child and vegetarian friendly menu options. Also, they have no TV. I BIG plus for me! read more

So family was feeling like pizza, so we figured we would try teds. I've been here once for a pint of beer but did not eat that time so we figured we would give it a go. I got the goat cheese salad (half) and the white rabbit pizza. The pizza was white sauce, artichoke, red onions red peppers and arugula. Overall the pizza was pretty good, thin crust, crunchy, and pretty darn flavorful. Thought it was weird the arugula was not fresh.... Most of the time when you put arugula on pizza you do it after it comes out of the oven.... My husband got the margarita pizza with pepperoni. Overall it was good, though I will say I am more of a transmet girl... There are so many options in Athens for pizza.... It's hard to choose! We had dinner here one Sunday night recently. Even though it was a summer night the patio was quite nice to eat outside. They have a sand play area for kids that brought a lot of families to the patio this evening. I am not a big fan of ordering at a counter and then taking a seat to wait for your food. If you want a second drink or desert you have to repeat the stand in line process. The line moved quickly and we took our seats. We had the caprese appetizer which was delivered quickly and was quite good. What made this a little different was the mozzarella and tomato was on a crustini. The balsamic glaze added a nice touch. We all ordered pasta. I had the chicken parm, my wife had eggplant parm, and our friend had the chicken pesto. I enjoyed my dish, chicken with a lot of sauce and cheese on top of pasta. My wife said the eggplant was OK, the eggplant was in strips rather than whole slices. Our friend said the chicken pesto was good but lacked a real pesto flavor. The wine prices were good and they give you a nice pour, and they have a pretty good selection of beer. I want to go back in the fall to sit outside and try their pizza. read more

The salads are all pretty tasty and a decent size as a half or whole. The pizzas are great, mark sure you order them well done. We also like the garlic knots and sliders. Good happy hour with $1 off drafts and I think $2 PBRs. The sandbox is great for our toddler who has a blast in it. I really love the outdoor patio. Situated directly across from Clocked, we drifted over here b/c Clocked had a 30 minute wait. Yikes! Glad we went here though! The pizza was delicious. I went to Athens with my dog to work for a couple days, and we kept going back to Ted's because of the great service, good prices and awesome menu. And the cupcakes! So good. Their patio is dog-friendly and shaded, so it made a wonderful place to hang out and work for a couple hours. They have a few beers on tap, but a surprisingly good canned beer selection. read more

The menu features a variety of pizzas, paninis, salads, and calzones and there is a good selection of vegetarian items. I decided to have the "special" pizza for the day, which came with sausage, green peppers, and red onion. It was a 10-inch pizza that was cut into four slices and was plenty big enough to serve as a meal and it cost about $8. Actually, for most people, it could probably serve as a meal for two. The pizza had a thin crust and it was a good amount of toppings. I liked the flavor of the sauce and I also liked that there wasn't too much sauce on it. There were also plenty of toppings that were evenly distributed to all four slices. Everything had good flavor, but I would have preferred it to cook in the oven for a couple more minutes. The cheese wasn't quite as golden-brown as I normally cook it and I think a little more time in the oven would have made the crust and little more crispy, which I love in a pizza. In all though, they did a nice job. read more

I had a pizza with sliced pears, mozzarella, sauce and substitution of goat cheese for the gorgonzola. It was delicious. I'm from New Jersey and I like to think I know pizza. I was really excited to come here yesturday. I haven't been in a while and I have great memories of the calzone. So after spending 20 mins. trying to find somewhere to park and walking 8 blocks we get to the restaurant and order our food. I get my calzone only to find it kinda bland, the mushrooms tasted as they came from a can and I was unable to taste any of the goat cheese I paid extra for. Pros: The food was really good! Super affordable! I had the meatball sub and it was one of the better ones I've ever had! The meatballs have a really good seasoning to them, very flavorful! The space was really cool, an old converted garage. Tons of outdoor seating and they still have the garage bay doors. So even when inside it feels like you're outside when they are up. Cons: we did order the garlic knots and they were disappointing, barely any garlic flavor at all. But the red sauce it came with was very good. You have to order at the counter and at the same time get your drinks so if you want or need a refill you have to get up and get it. A petty problem but for me that was the only downside to this place. I will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu! read more

First off the counter service girl couldn't even answer most questions, including they had a display case of cakes and I asked her what kind of cake one of them were that didn't have a sign and she said she didn't know what it was and also didn't ask any one of her coworker what else it could be. She was very indifferent. The wait time for the food was fast to our table (which had wilted almost moldy flowers in a small vase with petals all over under them) I have had a cold recently so I haven't been smelling things very strongly but our food that had Sopresatta in It smelled like wet dog to me, it tasted like old funk, and I thought it was just me cause my nose is kinda messed up from being congested. Then I had my husband taste a piece I hadn't eaten off of and he said it tasted old. Then we also got small pizzas and they were completely soggy. This place used to be so good! What happened? Good food, cool atmosphere, nice outdoor dining/patio seating, and good for kids. Pizza and sandwiches have been satisfactory and the dessert options are usually good as well. Decent beer selection and happy hour specials. Parking can be tricky if you're going when it's the slightest bit busy because you're limited to metered on the street parking or nearby public lots that hopefully won't tow you if you park there. I'm a sucker for thin crust pizza, and Ted's hits the mark. A large variety of personal (10") pies to choose from, or build your own is always a great choice. I had an Italian sausage and ricotta pie the other day for lunch that was outstanding. If you're there for dinner, they've got a nice beer selection too. Also, they have one of the largest covered outdoor seating areas that I've found in downtown Athens- which I thoroughly enjoy when the weather cooperates. read more

Love it!! Probably my favorite Athens resteraunt and boy is that a competitive title. Great specialty pizzas everyday and tons of pizza options. I wouldn't really stray from the pizza. Nothing on the menu is bad but the pasta and paninis are just good while the pizza is fantastic. The plate if cured meats, pesto, bread, cheese, and mixed olives is a great appetizer and absolutely to die for. Keep the leftovers to make some bomb-ass sandwiches later. The pizza seems authentically Italian and is a personal pizza with very very thin crust that is burned just right. Tons of The cheesecake is also very nice. I love coming here after Creature Comforts and recently discovered that nets you 10% off your meal. Oh and I haven't even mentioned the atmosphere yet. Sitting outside is positively choice. On a sunny day tons of families will bring their kids to play in the huge sandbox outside and that just adds so much to the general mirth of the outdoor seating area. During the winter I really appreciate being able to still sit outside due to a big tent and some heaters. read more

They have delicious gluten free dough but it turns out that they cook it on the floor of the pizza oven with flour and such from the other pizzas. This makes it NOT gluten free. I will no longer be able to eat here. If you advertise something as gluten free and someone orders it please let them know ( every time) that it is not actually prepared GF. Sick again! read more

We just left Teds where we were the only customers in the restaurant. Unfortunately we didn't even get to try the food. We went in and ordered. After pulling out my AMEX. The cashier told me they didn't take AMEX with an awful tone of voice and demeanor. We told her thank you and to cancel the order. We had cash but the attitude was so prevailing I just didn't care to stay. We went outside and started looking for another pizza place on Yelp. While we were discussing other options the waitress came outside and apologized for the awful attitude. We won't go back. The menu really looked good and the atmosphere was very nice. read more

Absolutamente fascinante. Bravo. The food being excellent is secondary to the beauty and fun of this place. My kids loved it. I think watching the sunset with a bottle of wine (served on little glasses ), and excellent pizza was the highlight of the day we spent in Athens. First time here at Ted's. Was a bit confused when first entering whether to seat ourselves our wait for someone, then noticed small sign that directed us to order at the counter. Nice atmosphere and friendly, fast service. We ordered garlic knots, Caesar salad with chicken and a variety of sliders. All were delicious. The garlic knots are small, so order the dozen. Caesar was likely the freshest that I have ever had and the dressing was perfect! No one could choose their fave slider because all were delicious. After dinner we ordered a piece of coconut cake which was to die for!! All of the desserts are homemade, so don't forget to save room. Great restaurant with good prices and service. Don't come here past 9 on a Monday night (even though they close at 10) because they will be cleaning up and hesitate to welcome you and take your order. I get that it wasn't busy and they want to go home but if you're open until 10 and customers come in at 9:15, at least welcome us. They even suggested we sit outside because they were cleaning the inside. The pizza was undercooked (obviously we know why) and definitely below average. Overall, not a pleasant experience and the waitstaff definitely need some training on customer service. read more
