It won't let me post without at least one star, but I would give this company a -5 if I was able to. I bought a Samsung refrigerator two years ago and it stopped producing cold air last week. Apparently Tekniton is the company that Samsung uses to service their clients. I was told I would hear from them in 24 to 48 hours. I called on a Friday morning. By Tuesday morning we still had not received a call after leaving numerous messages. When we finally got through to the company's call center in Modesto they informed us that they also could not reach the San Francisco office but they had seen that they had picked up the ticket and the reason they hadn't called us was because they needed to order parts. This was total BS and regardless they should have called us to let us know if that was actually the case. I finally received an email Wednesday. Being six days without food in refrigerator is unacceptable! We couldn't wait any longer so decided to call a local company who came out within 24 hours and fixed our refrigerator - NO PARTS WERE NEEDED and at a cost to us ($250). This is the company Samsung partners with!!! Samsung needs to make better relationship decisions because it makes them look even worse when their products break after two years!!! read more

If you are thinking about buying a Samsung product, I suggest buying the extended warranty from the place of purchase (Home Depot, Lowes, etc.) First, Samsung deserves zero stars for contracting this company out for their warranty services. My first experience with this company was back in October of 2017. My refrigerator's water dispenser was dripping water. I contacted Samsung to schedule an appointment for a tech to come out a look at this issue. The rep said that they scheduled one for that Sunday and that Tekniton would call to confirm the time. I thought, "what a great company to have techs working on a Sunday." Friday rolls around and I still haven't received a phone call from Tekniton, so I get to worrying. I called Tekniton during their regular hours, but no one picks up the phone! I try all day and by the end of their business hours, I had not spoken to a single person. So I contacted Samsung, their rep assured me that the technician would be out that Sunday. Sunday come and I wait and I wait....shocking no tech shows up. At this point I complained to Samsung and they offered no help. I looked up videos on YouTube and fixed the issue myself. A few days go by and I finally get a call from Tekniton to schedule a date and time to come out! Told them they have wasted enough of my time and to cancel the appointment. My second experience happened this week, same refrigerator but now the compressor seems to be making a rattling noise. I go through the same process with Samsung mid week. The rep says they scheduled an appointment for Monday. I reminded them that it was President's Day and if they were for sure Tekniton was open. The rep say this was the updated schedule they received from Tekniton. I explained what happened the first time dealing with this company, but was told that they would contact me by end of week to confirm. Not hard to guess what happened next...no phone call. I tried calling them again during business hours and I get no answer. This time I was not about to wait around, if I missed my appointment then be it. Monday comes and again no technician and no phone call. It is now Thursday and I have no communication from Samsung or Tekniton. I don't know if Tekniton only does contract work or offers repair services themselves, but stay away from them. I suggest you wait till the one year manufacturer's warranty is out and use the big box stores extended warranty if you bought it. read more

I am not happy with Samsung, and am even more unhappy with Tekniton. The Samsung Dishwasher (Model DW80M2020US) gave a blinking error code on April 8th, 2018 and ceased to work reliably. Finally, after persuading Samsung around July 10th that we did indeed have an actual one of their dishwashers (the serial number referring to the dishwasher could not be located [then suddenly they could]), Samsung contacted Tekniton to perform warranty repair. The repair visit initially started out fine. First, the sensors were wet. Dishwasher still did not work after the sensors were replaced. (The precariously placed dishwasher then crashed to the floor [more on that later]). Next, a pump was replaced and the dishwasher was still very non-functioning. It must then be the drainage tube. Nope, that was ok. A discovery moment! The plastic float stem was broken. Prior "Physical Damage" was declared. Even worse, it was not a replaceable part. The entire unit would need to be exchanged. However, the prior physical damage sadly voided the warranty. No repairs or replacements are possible. The repairperson informed me that someone in my household had apparently removed the bottom plate, pulled the dishwasher away from the wall and had reached up and broken the plastic stem thereby voiding the warranty. I informed the tech that neither I, being 63 years of age, nor my wife would have done this. He replied that people lie all the time about not breaking things, especially HD TVs. And then he left. I contacted Samsung. Another service company, finally, came out today (8/17/2018). Their repairperson were not surprised at all that the it was Tekniton that they were cleaning up after. He too also wondered how my wife or I would have managed to break a very small, inaccessible part. I suspect additional damage to the dishwasher possibly occurred when the dishwasher toppled nearly three feet to the floor. I was surprised to learn from the second repairperson, that the previous repairperson had noted on submitted paperwork that he had noticed the "pre-existing" physical damage immediately upon inspecting the dishwasher, then had immediately phoned in to report his findings, and then had left immediately without repairing anything because of the existing prior damage. A short video, of my grandsons enjoying the repair, shows the precariously perched dishwasher moments before it crashed to the floor with the repairperson busy "not repairing anything". I missed the actual crash as the repairperson sharply stated to me that Samsung does not allow any filming of the repairs. So I stopped. Samsung has, yet again, "escalated" the dishwasher repair. They have received my video of the repairperson (busy not repairing), the picture of the (inaccessible) broken part, and a picture of the invoice noting only "PHYSICAL DAMAGE". Strangely, the purchase warranty expired on 8/11/2018 and we had been graciously granted a one-time-only parts and labor for today's visit. Which arraignment could not be honored because of the "PHYSICAL DAMAGE" apparently inflicted, not by us, but by the previous repairperson. Samsung, your move! read more

The worst possible company and customer service. How are they even in business? As other reviewers have stated you cannot get a hold of their customer service dept. This dept must be ran by a single person who may or may not come in to work. When I did speak to someone to originally schedule my service he was a complete jerk who hates his job. His email address begins with "vperryjr". This guy has no business being in customer service or talking to people. Not even at McDonald's. He was rude to both my wife and I on the phone, sighed all the time while talking to us, argued with me that I would have to pay for the repair even though Samsung told me they will cover it and tried telling me over the phone this is a different problem. How can he tell me that when he isn't a Technician and has no information? On the phone with Samsung now who is sending a new service request to another company in the area they partner with after the feedback I provided them. So do yourself a favor if you work with Samsung for service on an appliance at your home, don't let them send your service request to Tekniton unless you enjoy extremely poor customer service that is a complete waste of your time. read more

Stay away from this company! The ice machine on my Samsung refrigerator went out. Tekniton is Samsung's repair service in this area. It took two weeks to get a scheduled appointment for service. The appointment window is 4 hrs, ridiculous in any event, with a promise that the technician will call when he is 30 minutes away. My appointment was scheduled between 1pm and 5pm. At 3:30 I called Tekniton to ask if they could check with their technician on timing. They said "no" as the best they could do was email him but assured me he would call when he was 30 minutes. I called again at 4:30p, got the same non response and the same assurance they he would arrive. He did not, he never called. I called Samsung and their only response was they couldn't do anything about since Tekniton was an outside contractor. Best recommendation is don't ever buy a Samsung appliance and stay away from Tekniton. read more

The Tekniton repair guy came to repair both our Samsung dryer and our Samsung refrigerator. I paid the bills & all was fine until 93 days after repair when the same problem of leaking into the crisper drawers in the refrigerator returned. I called Samsung again who said they would call repair to have the same problem with the refrigerator repaired at no further charge. Tekniton called 2 days later to say they would not repair the same problem without charge, as it had been 95 days and they have a 90 day warranty. Really?? Tekniton is hired by Samsung to evaluate claims when their products have issues. We had a new Samsung dishwasher that was rarely used and started turning on spontaneously. Tekniton came to the house to evaluate and found that it had a crack, from the installation that was just a few months ago (not our installed, installed thru Lowes) and even though this crack was not related to the problem on hand they made up a false excuse that we had dropped it. Please explain to me how we, who never touched it, could have done that? Samsung and Lowes have responsibility for this and they should not use Tekniton to make up excuses to deny rightful claims. read more

Last year, we bought a brand new, very expensive DRYER from Samsung / Home Depot. It worked great only for 2 weeks after that it went down hill ( to hell ). I called Home Depot ( as we bought this Dryer from them) they gave us Samsung's number and from that moment on, we had to deal this matter directly with Samsung. To keep this story short, Samsung doesn't have their own machanic but they would call their sub contrac = WHOEVER ON THIER LIST who's available on that day.... So Samsung started sending the different mechanic from different companies ( whoever 's available on that day ) to come and fix our dryer. At least 7 different times from 7 different companies, came in and tried to fix our brand new dryer and it normally work only just one or two days or sometimes they said to us that " they couldn't fix it" we 'd better call Samsung to exchange into the new one". But Samsung refused to exchange to new one for us and kept sending the different mechanics from different companies ( as their sub contract ) to fix our dryer. To say at least, this has been a BIG headache but thank god that finally Samsung sent someone from Tekniton as their sub contract and he fixed our dryer within a couple hours!!! And after more than 7 different companies paraded into our house to fix our dryer, now it has been more than 3 months and our dryer worked just like it suppose to for the first time. Very unprofessional! The appointment is between 9-1 the technician called at 115 and saying he is running late. Obviously he is late calling after the appointment time. Plus he even said well if you don't want me to come I have 2 more appointments after you. I said "I was asking what time is your arrival because I have a life to and work so I know what to do not just waiting for nobody" rude! I retorted this to Samsung. I will never buy a samsung appliance again as long at Tekniton are their contractor. They came to fix my dishwasher and damaged its power because their technicians don't know how to deal with hard wired machines. I have been without a dishwasher for 17 days because of their service. I called and left a message to talk to their manager to complain the same day the technician arrived but they never called me back. I am sending a formal complaint to Samsung to have Tekniton fired. They do not deserve a contract with Samsung. Their reps have hung up on me while I was trying to get Samsung on the other line. They never pick up and never return calls. read more

I couldn't be happier with the service. he was professional and friendly- arrived in a Samsung care service van. If I could give zero stars I would. This company really sucks. I had 2 repairs scheduled for my Samsung refrigerator. The first one went well and the tech was great. The second repair was scheduled for a week later. I spoke to them twice about it. On that Friday, no one showed and no one called me. First thing Monday I called them and was told they had no record of my appointment in their system. So I scheduled an appointment for a week later, but decided to call the day before to confirm, given my experience. There is no way to reach them by phone! You get a "stay on the line for customer service" message, but after a few minutes, you get a message saying "The person at extension 108 is not available." Then you get hung up on. I tried several times, and even tried calling the corporate headquarters. Same result. I finally called Samsung to complain and have them confirm my appointment. Their service rep had the same experience trying to reach them, so she connected me to Samsung's Service Pending Management Group. They couldn't reach Tekniton either. At this time, I'm still waiting to see if my appointment is confirmed or not. Sheesh. How do these people stay in business? I've told Samsung that they should not be represented by such a badly managed company. read more

Samsung actually bellied up to the bar on my son's 2007 LCD TV which was turning itself off. During a chat session with their tech support they informed me that the problem was covered by a known issue and they would send a repair technician to my house to fix it at their expense!! I felt like something surreal was happening until I received a call from Tekniton the same day to schedule the repair!! Repair was scheduled for two days later. The technician arrived within the first hour of the window, even calling ahead to let me know he'd be arriving soon. When he arrived he didn't try to repair the minimum but was prepared to make sure my television would be FIXED. He replaced the power board, not just capaciters. We turned the TV on and still had a problem. No worries.... Ovidill (sp?) pulled out a tool to sauter the board and within minutes everything was working perfectly. I could not be happier with Tekniton and with Samsung:) read more

Unbelievably frustrating to try to work with this company. I scheduled with Samsung who Tekniton only works with, to have them come and look at my dishwasher that broke after only six months. They sent a guy out and he told me that someone would call me back to set up an appointment for him to come back again and fix it. They called me once and left a message saying contact us again to schedule an appointment. I have called every day of this week and waited on hold the first few times for 10 minutes before giving up and I just gave up after waiting on hold for 23 minutes. There is no option to leave a message and I don't know that anyone will ever answer the phone. I am stuck with a dishwasher that doesn't work and no way to get a hold of them. Each I called was during regular business hours. I just decided to add an extra star to this review because the only employee that I met from tekniton, Adrian, Took it upon himself to call me and ask if I had time for him to do the repair which was great because it was completely impossible for me to get a hold of the company. He was unable to fix the dryer, but diagnosed the problem and ordered a part. A second tech came out after the part arrived and took care of the problem. I am posting this review for the poor service knowledge of this company. I am not happy about the 6 different times a service member has been to my house to repair the same problem. Today I am having the same problem but was told I have to pay for parts and service. I would be glad to pay except I don't trust the knowledge of the repairman. If I blew a fuse in my car more than once, I would troubleshoot to find out why! My 8 year old Samsung Dryer stopped working. I called Samsung and they said it was out of warrenty. But they would set up a repair appt, which they did with Tekniton. I got the appt for two days later. Two days later I got a call that the reparman would arrive within 30 minutes. About 20 minutes later he arrived. He was great. He said as soon as he turned the machine on he said he thought it was just the belt. He was right. He also showed me a plastic wheel that spins the belt that was wearing poorly and offered to replace that too, which I did. Within 30 minutes he had taken the entire machine apart and used my vacuum to clean it like new on the inside - which was filthy from 8 years of use. In about 30 minutes from arrival he was done and it was working great. He gave me his cell number and said to call him directly if anything seems off. This was as good of a repair service as I could have hoped for. Thank you for your great work, Stefan! Also the in home service call and parts were $272.96. MUCH cheaper than replacing the machine. read more

For incidents where Tekniton can't fix your appliance they will intentionally space out the repair, charging additional money each time, so that it takes exactly 4 months. They do this so they can claim that their original repairs have lapsed on their "3 month guarantee". This way, whether they fix your system or not, they get to keep most of your money. None of their visits fixed my issue and the last visit the repairman didn't even touch my TV. It's an intentional scam. In my case the price was $357.87 and I got a refund of $87.42. My TV has the same problems from before they ever visited. How I figured this out: On the day I expected the 3rd repair visit (again they space it out once a month) I got a call instead from Sunny a rep at Tekniton to "schedule" a time for the supplemental repair. Notice she didn't say "reschedule". I was shocked, as I had taken off work and the repair was scheduled to happen today from what Tekniton previously agreed. I asked her if I'm not on their schedule how did she know to call me on this day? She ignored my question and instead scheduled a repair appointment for the following month. The following month (4) the repair guy showed up, did nothing to my TV but marked it as "defective" on an invoice, charging $0. He said to call Tekniton for a refund and use the invoice as proof that a repair was never completed. As directed, I called Tekniton about this, and after 10 minutes of being on hold. They said I would be receiving a refund. A few days later I received $87.42 refund out of my $357.87 spent on Tekniton. When I called in about this and talked to Tekniton rep Vanessa, she said the guarantee had lapsed on the original repair and that there is nothing she can do. I explained to her that none of their work has ever fixed my TV. A "guarantee on a repair" by definition requires something actually be repaired. The TV was and is still broken. She would not allow me to speak to a manager and told me to take it up with Samsung before hanging up on me. Yelp's reviews of this place will attest to the quality and character of this business. They have 4 locations and the ones listed on Better Business Bureau (three of them) all have "F" ratings. Tekniton's website claims proudly to be around since 1991, but there is no "main office" number, and it's CEO, John Shtir, is mysteriously not listed anywhere on their website. Nor any other executive staff members. If you're reading this review there's a good chance you were/are being forced to use this vendor as Samsung's only repair option. Here's some advice: If you have a Samsung device that is broken and Samsung has referred you to Tekniton: 1. Do not use this vendor at all costs for a repair. Call Samsung at 1-855-726-8721 and request a different vendor, stating this business's low Yelp and BBB reviews. 2. If Samsung insists and you are forced to work with Tekniton be sure to not allow their repairs to go longer than 3 months. In fact, I would say if they can't fix your appliance (usually a Samsung TV or washing machine) on the first or second visit, request your money back - don't let them convince you to do additional repairs. They will eventually "out-of-guarantee" you for the first initial repairs that can be the most costly. 3. Save all invoices and payment receipts. Note the person you spoke to and any rescheduling attempts. 4. Pay by credit card (Mastercard, Visa, but preferably Amex) so you can dispute the transaction when and if they fail on their guarantee and decide to keep your money anyways. If Tekniton has taken your money without ever actually fixing your appliance under their "3 month guarantee": 1. Dispute the transaction with your credit card company. Amex will issue a chargeback and give you your money back right away while they open an investigation. Mastercard and Visa will open an investigation and issue your chargeback once the investigation is complete. Credit card companies have a lot of power over companies and will shut down the payment processing ability of a company if they receive too many chargebacks. It's important to provide copies of any invoices when you open a dispute. Stay cool headed and grounded in facts not emotions. 2. Do not forget to log a report of your experience on the BBB website as the longer this grows the better chance we have of shutting these guys down. 3. IMPORTANT: You can also file a dispute with "California's Bureau of Electronic and Appliance Repair, Home Furnishings and Thermal Insulation" (BEARHFTI). Just google their name. They are an official local government agency dedicated to protecting consumers, educating businesses, and enforcing compliance with the law. The BBB don't actually have much power outside of ratings but this government agency does, and the more they hear from people like you the more this company will be in hot water and could get their California business license revoked. Together we can put unscrupulous companies like this out of business. read more

I have a samsung washer with an extended warranty from Lowe's. The main door gasket has failed twice and Tekniton was the vendor of choice to come out and repair. Stefan in particular came out both times and was courteous, professional, and knew exactly what he was doing. Within 30 mins he had my washer back up and running, I could not be happier with his repair and support. Thank you Tekniton for working with Lowe's and Samsung, I plan to call you again in the future when I need service (even if my warranty is out). read more

My Samsung dishwasher was just days from being out of warranty. A. Walead came out and was here for about 2 minutes. He took pictures and then went back to his truck. He then came back and told me that my dw was unrepairable and that I should get a call about a replacement. I got a text asking if I wanted a credit. I said OK. But I have never heard from them again. I answered his text 3 more times and then I emailed the support group all to no avail. I have to say, this dishwasher is a piece of crap. Not only did the soap dish not open, the bottom rack won't roll out, the gasket is loose, and now not all of the wash cycles work. I will never ever again buy a Samsung dw. read more

This company, Tekniton, sent out a great repair person, Ovidiu, who fixed our new Samsung refrigerator efficiently and with a minimal amount of inconvenience. He called an hour ahead of time, as promised by the Tekniton operator, and arrived on time. Ovidiu was knowledgeable, respectful, and spent the time necessary to assess the problem and repair it completely with a minimal amount of inconvenience. He was not sure which fan was making the annoying humming, so he replaced both of them, so that he would not have to return in case he had replaced the wrong one. We had been listening to a humming refrigerator for three months, and so it is a real pleasure to finally have it fixed! Thanks, Tekniton! read more

Vikram came to fix my Samsung dishwasher that was still under the manufacturer's warranty. It had malfunctioned some months prior but the technician who came to look at it then didn't do anything. Vikram knew immediately what was wrong with the machine and had all the necessary parts in his van. He replaced the drain pump and a sensor and now the dishwasher is working again. Despite being at the end of a very long workday, plus putting himself out there in the front line during the Covid pandemic, Vikram was polite and took the time to make sure that everything was functioning correctly. I had read some poor reviews on Yelp about Tekniton repairmen, so I was even more impressed with Vikram's performance. Also Tekniton took only a couple of days to schedule the appointment so I didn't have to wait very long to get the service done. read more

Our Samsung dryer started drying our clothes slowly. We called Samsung and after they did their review of the problem asked if we would like them to arrange service. They arranged the service through Tekniton. The service tech arrived and tried to diagnose the problem. Between the service tech and his help from his office, they decided the problem was the main circuit board. This was going to be an over $350 repair so I decided to try to repair it myself with the help of the internet. It turns out that the problem was a $10 part that I replaced myself. I tried to contact Tekniton many times to talk to them about the failed diagnostic, which cost $100, but they refused to return my calls. read more

We actually had a better time than most people did when hiring Tekniton for our appliance repair. There was a problem with our washing machine that it was leaking out a little bit of water from the left corner of the washing machine. Up until sometime after that, the leak got worse and we had to call in someone to fix the leak. We got Jeb, (our repairman), to come over to take a look at the problem. Turns out the problem was the drain pump and the motor were not set up to the factory settings like they should be. Jeb fixed the parts (luckily he had an extra motor with him), and our washer's back to its normal setting. Jeb was a great guy, a lot of fun to talk with, and definitely had some great insight on life. I'm glad that he was there to fix the problem and I'll be sure to call Tekniton in the future should we have anymore problems that arise. read more

Our Samsung dryer broke and they gave this company to service under warranty. We had a scheduled appointment and even confirmed the day of. I got a note saying we missed them. I was home during the entire scheduled window. They either didn't ring or knock and just put the note to make it seem like we missed them or they came before the scheduled time. We called a bunch of times, no answer. Horrible business. Don't know why Samsung works with them. Judging by the other reviews this was a blessing in disguise because they would have made it worse. read more

I bought a Samsung Washer and Dryer from Fry's electronics. I have an extended warranty from Fry's. My washer is currently not spinning. I have been calling Fry's, who has referred the servicing to Tekniton. The issue has been hanging since August 23rd. Tekniton sent technicians twice. Both are novice, never touched washer before. I did convey to both Tekniton and Frys that it is probably the bearing and the spider holder that needs to be replaced. To make money from Fry's, Tekniton ordered the motor, the main motherboard controller and some other parts. While changing the parts, The technicians are even calling their experience technicians to help them opening the bolt and screw. After opening the machine and replacing the parts, the technician realized that the problems still remains the same. The part they ordered is also not OEM. Extremely pathetic. Today is September 8th and the issue is still hanging. I have contacted consumer protection. I am lodging the complain and also going through small claims court to get my money back from both Fry's and Tekniton. They both will probably receive the notice in couple of days. Had a 9am - 1pm window for a tech to come look at my Samsung TV. I called at 12:45 to make sure that there wasn't a mistake since it was almost at the end of the time window. The customer service rep let me know that the tech was probably behind schedule and would be calling me soon. 2+ more hours go by and still no word. I call back to check what's going on, and the CS rep "emails" the tech to have him call me. Another hour goes by, so I call back again at 4pm. This time the rep gives me the technicians number and tells me to call him directly. After all was said and done, the technician was over 3 hours after the window, and told me to call CS to complain about the wait. So I did, only to have the customer service rep tell me that it was the technicians fault for not communicating with me and there was nothing they could do. I understand that things happen, but it seems like customer service should be more on top of when a technician is going to be late. And at the very least recognize the frustration of waiting for 7+ hours without anyone communicating that they were running behind schedule. read more
